Prologue:
A young girl stood in the corner, watching her older brother taking the beating for her. This was what it was like living with Ryan Smith as a father. Her older brother, James, would do this most often to protect little Lily. Their mother walked out on them when Lily was 6. Ever since then, their dad has always been drinking, and whist drunk, would beat them. They weren't allowed to tell anybody, even though James tried to protect Lily, she was still covered in scars and bruises. But James was much worse.
