Timmy knocked on the door of Tecna's room, taking a deep breath in an attempt to calm his racing heart. Today he would do it. No more beating around the bush today, because he would finally do it. He knew he would.

He would finally break up with Tecna.

He'd been trying for weeks now, but he kept chickening out. Today though, he'd given himself a pep talk before coming over, telling himself over and over that he wasn't being fair to Tecna, that he was leading her on with feelings he no longer had.

He repeated it again in his head, just before Tecna opened the door.

"Timmy! Why are you here?" she asked, sounding slightly panicked. He paid it no mind, though, figuring it was just his mind playing tricks on him.

"I have something I need to talk to you about" he said, trying to sound confident but it came out rather timidly.

"Oh, well, can it wait until later?" Tecna asked, more like begged, and this time Timmy acknowledged the panicky tone. Now he was suspicious.

"Why, what's going on?" he asked, his tone conveying how suspicious he felt.

"N-nothing! Come on in!" Tecna said, far too peppy for nothing to be happening.

Tecna let him in, and Timmy saw that Musa was sitting on her bed. Tecna sat on her own bed, and Timmy followed suit.

"As long as you're here, I have something to tell you as well" Tecna squeaked. Timmy nodded in a signal for her to go ahead, and Tecna looked helplessly at Musa, who simply shrugged.

"Hey, I'm not the one with the bad news" the raven haired fairy said. Tecna paled, and Musa sighed, while Timmy just looked confused.

"It'll be okay, Tecna" Musa said comfortingly, and although Tecna still looked skeptical, she turned to face Timmy, her eyes swimming with fear.

"T-Timmy... I think we should break up"

It took him a moment, but as soon as the words processed, he broke into uncontrollable laughter. Musa and Tecna looked extremely confused, and after Timmy finally managed to calm down, Tecna spoke for the two of them,

"What is wrong with you?"

Still with a large grin, unable to get over how easy it was, Timmy replied,

"I was here because I wanted to break up with you"

Tecna sputtered for a moment, unable to think of anything to say, while Musa put a hand over her mouth to stifle her laughter.

"Well... Why were you going to break up with me?" Tecna asked after she gathered her senses. Timmy looked away, suddenly bashful.

"...Don't get mad, okay?" he finally pleaded, still staring at the wall. Tecna raised an eyebrow but nodded anyway.

"Well... I've kind of fallen in love with Sky" Timmy admitted shyly.

That did it for Musa, and she postively fell to the floor, holding her sides in laughter. It took Tecna a moment, but soon she was laughing too, and now it was Timmy's turn to be confused.

"Um, what's so funny?"

Tecna managed to calm down, just enough to say,

"Timmy, I've fallen in love with Bloom"

His eyes went wide.

"No way"

"Yes, actually, that's what I was discussing with Musa before you came in" she explained, still grinning like a maniac.

Timmy shook his head, unable to believe what he was hearing.

"Wow. So, how long?"

"Um... At least two months, maybe longer. What about you?" Tecna replied. Musa had managed to calm down now and also looked at Timmy with interest.

"About the same, I guess" Timmy answered. Tecna shook her head in amusement.

They were going to continue their conversation, but there was a knock at the door.

Tecna got up to open it, and was faced with two girls whom she'd never met.
