"Mother?" I asked in disbelief. "Mother?" I asked again. "That's impossible." I said and tried to get out of Elizabeth's grip.

"Mother?" Will asked this time. "I have a sister?" He asked and he seemed even more confused. "When did that happen?"

"When you were born." Elizabeth explained. "You're twins."

"Yeah sure we are…" I said sarcastically and looked at Elizabeth like she was crazy. Which I thought she was.

She saw that and her expression grew worried. "I'm telling the truth darling I'm your mother." She insisted. "My daughter went missing the night she and my son Will were born. I wasn't with her for very long but long enough to see the birthmark on the back of her right shoulder. And the color of her eyes, and her hair." She said dreamily and hugged me again. "You're the spitting image of your father just like I suspected."

As she hugged me I looked at Emma and we both looked confused.

"It happens often enough in Caribbean, there's no reason why it's impossible." Elizabeth said.

I looked at Emma again and we both knew that there was a pretty major reason that it was. And I was sure that it proved Elizabeth's theory about my identity wrong. But could we were unsure if we could tell Elizabeth and Killian that. Luckily there was another fact against Elizabeth's theory.

Killian who had started to get very nervous asked me "How old are you?"

"Eleven." I answered and Killian looked relieved and Elizabeth looked shocked and crestfallen.

"See, Elizabeth. Your son Will here is nine." Killian said "It's impossible. Lily is probably dead like I told you and if she is alive then there's no way she'll come back anytime soon."

"But she has the same birthmark." Elizabeth said and then started to think some more.

Then in an instant she realized something and sprang to her feet and looked at Killian with a growing look of anger in her eyes. A look that bore right into his eyes.

"Captain Hook." She said through gritted teeth "Why did you look so afraid when you thought my long lost daughter had returned?"

Everyone's eyes turned towards Killian who was no longer looking relieved. He was now even paler than he had been before. Emma seemed to be forming some suspicions of her own. I started to as well. Even when we first met he seemed disturbed by my presence. And when he started suspecting that I was related to his child hood friend Will Turner that disturbance seemed to grow. Although they were suppressed fairly well.

"I thought we agreed you wouldn't call me that, Lizzy." He said trying to change the subject.

"We also agreed that you wouldn't call me that." She said and made her way towards him. "What caused you to be so frightened by my daughter's return?" She asked again.

"She's not your daughter." Killian persisted. "She can't be she's older than little Will over there." He said with a chuckle and gestured to him looking for help.

But Will only stood there looking as shocked and confused as I was. Emma who had stopped looking for the wand had slowly started to again.

"Why was the fact that she's older than Will funny?" Elizabeth asked and then looked scared as Emma pulled out the glowing wand.

"Because she should be younger." Emma started to say. "Over 200 years younger when you and your son are dead. The perfect cover for the deed that your friend is guilty of."

Elizabeth looked frightened and started to walk backwards towards Will and me so she could grab us and get us both out of there if needed.

"What is that thing?" She asked fearfully.

"How did you get that?" Killian asked and was now starting to get angry.

"From a crocodile." Emma said with a smile.

Killian's expression became filled with rage and he lunged towards Emma to try to grab it but she stepped away and Killian missed. Elizabeth grabbed me and Will and we started to make our way to the back of the store but Emma stopped them.

"Don't go anywhere Elizabeth!" She called to her. "Don't you want to know the real reason Lily disappeared? And where she ended up."

Elizabeth stopped and turned back towards Emma and Killian, still holding her son and me tightly in her hands.

"Continue." Elizabeth permits and Killian sighs.

He couldn't hide the truth anymore, no matter how well he thought he could.

"Your friend Killian used this wand to travel through time. But the spell to travel through time is impossible to cast. Or so he thought. It was cast once before about 200 years in the future by a Wicked Witch. I fell into it with him and we were sent back in time to a place where magic is capable of doing just about anything. The crocodile who is actually a wizard charmed this wand to recast the last spell that was cast from it. And Killian has been using this wand to keep recasting that spell and travelling back in time to this time period." Emma said but then Killian interrupted.

"A very good theory Swan but if you have the wand how could I have used it to come back in time?" He asked rhetorically and smiled.

But Emma had thought this through. "You charmed your ship." She said and looked at it outside the window, sitting in a dock and Killian's smile fell.

"I knew there was a reason you didn't have it anymore when we came to Storybrooke after a year. And then it so conveniently came back when you saw a chance to use it to bond with Henry." Emma explained. "You didn't want me to know it came back because you didn't want me to find out it was charmed."

"Well we know how he did it." Elizabeth broke in. "But now what I want to know is why. Why did you take away Lily?"

Killian looked troubled by the answer he was about to give. "I didn't want to. But I had no choice. It was the only way to protect her, and you, and all the people you love and care about for that matter."

"Why?" Elizabeth asked again.

"You already answered that question." Killian said and Elizabeth looked confused. "She looks like her father. So everyone that Will has ever met, friends, acquaintances… and enemies will know exactly who she is with just one look. And if anyone looking to control the seven seas finds her, oh they wouldn't even need his heart to do it. And why would they need to, when they can blackmail him with his blood."

"How do you know Will would believe them? Neither of us even knew I was pregnant when I saw him last." Elizabeth argued.

"Have you seen the kid! She looks almost exactly like him! If she was a boy they would probably be identical. That and the fact that she has the bloody key to his heart!" Killian said.

Elizabeth was now looking at me and I ever so carefully pulled the key out of my dress, where I had been hiding it. Holding onto the only thing that I knew about my past. And the biggest factor that proved my true identity. While Elizabeth hugged me again and tears fell from her eyes Killian continued.

"He knows by the way." Killian added. "I ran into him in the future, and I had or I guess will have Lily with me. Jack found out that they were related but I was able to convince him that she was his descendant in the future, not his daughter. And Will believed that story too for a while but then he came up to me one night and asked me why she had the key to his heart, because he gave it and his heart to you. I told him that she must have inherited it but Will's clever and he picked out the faults in that lie. Over a course of 200 years there were so many other relatives and extended family that it could have gone to and it was just too coincidental that it ended up with her. So then I told him that night who she was and what I did to protect her and the rest of her family. And he thanked me."

Elizabeth looked shocked and pulled away from me and looked at Killian again.

"He had run into a few people who wanted his heart, and control over the ocean. And having a child that looked like him, would put her and the entire world, in incredible danger. So I brought her into the future, where the threat was far less greater and I could keep an eye on her." Killian said. "I didn't want to have to separate you from your child Elizabeth. But sometimes the needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few."

"Since when did you see Star Trek?" Emma asked.

"There was a day where I had nothing to do and Henry wanted to watch it." Killian said in an aggravated tone, and looked at Elizabeth for an answer.

Her expression hadn't changed much during Killian's story but she finally said "Thank you."

Then I did something I never thought I would do.

"Mommy!" I cried and hugged her.

There was no doubting it now that I had heard what Killian and Emma said. It was possible after all. My mother hugged me back and then my twin brother joined us. Killian smiled then looked at Emma.

"How did you know how I did it?" Killian asked Emma.

"When you called me Swan." She answered and they both smiled.

Killian interrupted my family's embrace. "Well this has been a lovely family reunion but I know two people who need to go back to the future. And yes Swan I saw that movie with Henry too."

"We're coming too." Elizabeth said and took a hold of her son's hand again.

"Yeah." Will said. "But can we wait until I'm the same age as my twin sister?" He asks and Elizabeth looks down her children and remembers the oddity.

"You guys can't come." Killian said. "The world has changed so much with the new technology and such it would blow your minds!"

"Well you managed to do it so why can't we? And besides I need to escape the marriage my father has arranged for me." Elizabeth said.

"Your twins are two years apart in age right now!" Killian argued.

"We'll just say she's an older sister." Elizabeth said but that seemed like an unpopular solution to my brother.

"The DNA tests they might do on your kids at some point in their lives will say different." Emma said.

"What?" Killian, Elizabeth and Will all asked simultaneously.

"I just thought of something." I said. "How about my mom and brother go with Killian two years in the past and hang out somewhere for that amount of time until Killian picks them up and brings them to the future where we'll all meet up with Will and break the curse and live happily ever after."

Everyone looked at me for a moment and thought about my plan. For us to all live in the future my brother and I would have to be the same age. If one of us had a disease or was in an accident and needed blood or something they would have to check our DNA and that would show that we're twins. And then the questions would be unanswerable.

"We have no choice. I have to be the same age as my twin brother in case someone finds out we're twins." I said and everyone agreed.

"But where will we stay for two years?" Elizabeth asked.

"Hiding on the Jolly Rodger with Jack Sparrow." Killian said. "He could use the company if you don't mind the drinking."

"And I'll take Lily back to the present." Emma said.

"Alright." Elizabeth said and then hugged me. "I'll see you in two years." She said.

Then she and my brother left with Killian to hide on an earlier version of the Jolly Rodger and then get off when I arrive in Storybrooke. But then Emma remembered something.

"Wait!" She called out and stopped them.

"Where's Will's heart?" She asked her and then Elizabeth smiled.

"It's in here under the floor." She said and then left.

Emma and I stomped on the floor for a while before I found a hollow space under the floorboards. But it was taking forever. Then I heard a faint noise with a steady rhythm. I held Emma's arm so she would stop moving and we tried to deduce where it was based on the sound. We located the spot and used a nearby crowbar to pry it up and then we found the chest. I picked it up carefully and pressed my ear to it. I heard the steady heart beat and Emma and I looked at each other and knew that our work in this time period was over. I looked around once more at the world I came from and then I fell into the wormhole that the spell created, holding onto my father's heart.
