Week Four:
"I can't believe we're leaving next week." Mimi shook her head and sipped on her pina colada.
The three women currently sat in some large beach chairs on the empty beach just lounging around. It was just a lazy day for them so they settled on relaxing at the beach for the rest of the day. It was cloudy and breezy and it looked like there was a storm coming their way later in the day.
"I don't wanna go." Lola whined beside her.
"Bitch, you just don't wanna leave Colby." Mimi waved off. "Get yourself together."
"Well shit, I'm sure you don't wanna leave Joe." The blonde countered.
Mimi sighed sadly. "My Hawaiian Sexy.." She followed with a sniffle.
"Oh give me a break." Sophie rolled her eyes.
Mimi sucked her teeth. "Don't act like you ain't gonna miss Jacob."
Lola was getting ready to correct Mimi when Sophie just held her hand up. "Don't even bother."
Lola smirked. "What's up with you and Jon anyway?" She sipped her drink. "I can sense the chemistry between you two."
"He's a cool guy."
"Are you two fuckin'?" Mimi blurted out.
Lola groaned. "Mimi.."
"I just wanna know!"
Sophie bit her lip and looked away. She's been sleeping with Jon for the past week and still haven't told her friends yet. Sure she didn't like keeping her affair with Jon under wraps from her friends but at the same time, she wasn't entitled to tell them anything. She'll tell them eventually though, but for right now it was just between her and the dirty blonde.
Fuck that.
"Yup."
Mimi and Lola gasped in unison and sat up from their seats. Were their ears deceiving them?
"No fuckin way!" Lola exclaimed excitedly. "Soph, are you serious?"
Sophie blushed and looked down. "Um, yeah."
"I fuckin' knew it!" Mimi shrieked. "Y'all been fuckin each other all this time. I knew it!"
"Will you keep your voice down!"
"Bitch, ain't nobody on this beach!"
They all looked around and realized that the redhead was right. The beach was deserted. Still though, Sophie didn't want her business all out there and Mimi was loud as fuck for no reason.
"Who made the first move?" Lola smiled. The blonde seemed truly happy for her friend.
"He's been giving me hints." The raven shrugged. "But he left the ball in my court. He wanted me to come to him when I was ready. And I did."
"Aw, shit." Mimi grinned. "My girl lost her virginity to an island boy. I taught you well."
"You didn't teach me shit." Sophie scoffed, laughing when the redhead gave her a look. "But I do wanna thank you guys for supporting me and helping me in regards to letting my guard down." She smiled at them.
"That's what friends are for." Lola gloated in a child like voice that made them all laugh.
Sophie smiled as she watched her two friends gloat about the news. Even though her and Jon were just sleeping together, she couldn't ignore the feelings she was developing for the dirty blonde. She knew there was a connection between the two of them and he often referred to her as his property, not wanting any other man involved with her. Yet, they never had deep conversations or even tried to take this "relationship" a step further in a more serious direction. But she was leaving next week, and she didn't do long distance relationships. Now she was just torn and confused.
"I knew y'all were fuckin."
"…Mimi.."
"Goddamn, this storm is getting worst by the second." Jon glanced out the window by the front door of the home that he shared with his two best friends. "This shit is ridiculous."
Joe walked over towards the window to take a peek outside, flinching when a bright strip of lighting flashed before them followed by a loud rumble of thunder.
Jon glanced at his friend beside him and smirked. "Scared, Joey?"
"Fuck you."
Jon chuckled and continued to watch the storm outside. "Still no service Colbs?"
Colby picked up the phone that lay beside him on the couch and placed it to his ear. "Nope." He sighed after hearing nothing but silence through the talking device. "I can't believe we're missing the game because of this shit."
"Tell me about it." Joe plopped down on the couch and eyed the chips and sandwiches that laid on the coffee table in front of them. "All this," He pointed at the food. "For nothing."
Just then Jon came over and sat on the couch across from them, picking up a sandwich and then biting into it. "Mm, salami."
"That was for the game, Jon." Colby glared.
Jon paused mid bite and glanced towards the window where the storm was getting worse. "There will be no game tonight, Colbs." He took another bite of the sandwich and popped a couple of chips in his mouth. "There's a storm a'comin bitch."
Colby growled at his smart ass friend while Joe tried to stifle his laughter. Y"ou're such a piece of shit." He cringed when the dirty blonde smiled showing the chewed up food in his mouth. "A nasty piece of shit."
Joe sighed and popped open a beer, taking a long sip. "Well, looks like our plans for tonight are ruined."
"What do we do now?" Colby tossed the phone to the side.
"We can.. talk." Joe suggested.
Jon looked at him like he was stupid. "Pfft," He popped another chip in his mouth. "Talk?"
Joe shrugged. "There's nothing else to do."
"Alright, humor me Barbara Walters." Jon snickered only to be hit in the face with a flying pillow. "Violent bastard."
"Sarcastic son of a bitch." Joe shot back.
"Whoa, whoa, whoa." Colby chuckled. "Take it easy guys."
"He hit me!"
"Suck it up, bitch."
"Bite me, puddin' pop."
"Puddin' pop?" Colby barked out laughing at Jon. "What the fuck type of name is that?"
The dirty blonde grinned. "I heard Mimi calling him that the other day. Shit cracked me up and I was dying to use it against him ever since."
Colby doubled over and clutched his stomach. Joe was red from embarrassment at that moment, silently vowing to punish Mimi the next time he sees her. Oh it was on now. However right now, he just wanted to punch Jon and Colbys' lights out for good. His friends were such annoying jackasses sometimes.
"Are you two done?" He glared at them.
"Almost." Colby choked out before wiping a stray tear from his eye. "Are you embarrassed.. puddin' pop?" Jon spit out his beer immediately after Colby finished his sentence. They were never gonna let up on the nickname- at least not now.
Joe growled. "You guys are such pieces of shit."
Colby coughed out another laugh, "Aw c'mon man, we're just teasin'."
"Yeah man." Jon smiled. "What's up with you two anyway? Did you guys ever talk about your feelings for each other and shit?"
Joe sighed and leaned back into the couch. He knew sooner or later his friends were going to ask him about the progress between him and Mimi. Of course Mimi still had her moments of keeping her guard up at certain times, but they were working on it together. Joe made a promise to the redhead and that was to be patient with her- and so far that's what he's been doing.
"We finally had a conversation and now we're just working on the things that need to be worked on." The Samoan dismissed quickly.
"Oh." Colby looked at his friend skeptically. "Is it serious things or.."
"Nah, mainly just trust issues." Joe sighed and leaned further back into the couch. "Her exes really did a number on her."
"What happened?" Jon pressed.
Joe didn't feel like it was his place to tell them, but he knew they wouldn't tell anyone. The big man shrugged and just let it all out, explaining to them what her boyfriend did and how it affected her without going into much detail. Colby and Jon just sat there and listened quietly. They both felt for the redhead and hoped that eventually her and Joe would work out.
"That's fucked up." Jon shook his head and sipped his beer. "Fuckin' scumbag."
"I know." Joe agreed.
"At least she finally opened up to you and now you guys can address the issue ad work on it together." Colby pointed out, he then directed his attention to the dirty blonde. "Speaking of working it out.."
Jon looked at him skeptically. "..What?"
"You and Sophie have been inseparable that day we went to the club." The surf instructor raised an eyebrow. "What's going on with you guys?"
"Nothing."
"Bullshit." Joe grinned. "C'mon man, spit it out. We're your bros."
Jon took another long sip of his beer. He didn't know if he should divulge the fact that he and Sophie were fucking around for at least a week now. He was glad that she finally gave in to him and came out of her shell, after all- the new Sophie was rather intriguing and it made him want her every second of every day. She was his. Jon smirked to himself at the thought, but that smirk didn't go unnoticed. He basically just let the cat out of the bag.
"Spit it out, Good." Joe coaxed with a grin. "What are you hiding."
"Yeah, that smug smirk just gave it away." Colby added.
"We're uh, .. we're cool." Jon decided to tread lightly regarding the subject.
"Are y'all fuckin'?"
Colby chuckled. "Now you sound like Mimi."
"C'mon Good." Joe ignored Colby.
He stared at the dirty blonde making sure to pay attention to any certain body movements or reactions that might give the answer away. He didn't know why he was so adamant about knowing whether Jon and Sophie were sleeping together all of a sudden- he chalked it up to spending too much time with a certain redhead. And there it was- Jon's smirk widened.
They were fuckin'.
"I knew it." Joe smirked.
Colby looked towards the dirty blonde with a shocked expression gracing his face. "How long?"
"About a week." Jon confessed.
"WHAT?!" They shrieked in unison.
"And you're just now telling us?" Colby's voice was oddly high pitched at this point.
"It just slipped my mind."
"Yeah right." Joe shook his head. "It's about damn time. I could feel the sexual tension between you two every time y'all were around each other."
"Likewise." Colby nodded. "So are you guys.. together?"
"Nope. It's just sex, nothing more." Joe and Colby shared a look between each other, puzzling the dirty blonde. "What?"
"Does Sophie know that?" Joe questioned.
Jon just shrugged and gulped the remainder of his beer. "She should. I never said I was interested in a relationship."
"But did you ever communicate that with her?" Colby pressed, "Or did you just expect her to figure that out for herself?"
"You're ganging up on me." The dirty blonde glared.
"We're not trying to gang up on you, Jon." Joe assured his friend. "But we know how you are with this type of stuff. And I see the way she looks at you sometimes. You probably should have let her know that before you slept with her."
"She might think that you're leading her on to think that you want something more too and you just don't realize it." Colby added.
His friends did have a point. Sure the sex was great and he wanted to spend some more time with Sophie, but Jon just wasn't the relationship type. He didn't commit, he never has, and maybe he should have made that clear before he started to pursue her sexually- but that's what happens when you think with your dick instead of your brain. Just then, Jon thought back to all of their encounters trying to remember if he did anything to lead the raven haired woman to think that he wanted anything more than sex.
"Mine."
Every single time they had sex, Jon would reiterate that word to her. Not only that, he truly meant it and he would always say it with so much authority and so much conviction that he wouldn't blame Sophie if she actually believed that they were something more or can be something more. Jon groaned, realizing that he just fucked up.
"I gotta talk to her."
*Smh at Jon and his antics*
