"Come on Denmark, keep pushing!" Finland commanded from his place in between the Dane's legs, standing ready to help bring the newest Nordic into the world.

Denmark was panting and sweating heavily, extremely tired of all the strain he had been through in the past day. It had already been hours since his water broke and he was just ready to collapse and go into a comma because of it.

"Can't we just perform a C-Section?" Denmark gasped through yet another contraction, squeezing his eyes tight as he felt Germany squeeze his hand.

"Unfortunately, you know I can't, Denmark." Germany soothed softly, passing a hand through the Dane's sweat slicked hair to try and comfort him.

He too was tired. Tired and worried for the Dane. Being so long in the labor could prove problematic for only the child, but also Denmark. Men were not made for these kinds of things so he didn't really know what kind of repercussions this could have on the man's body.

"I see the head!" Finland gasped, smiling proudly.

Finally, after hours, they saw real progress. "Come on, Matthias. A few more pushes. That's all we need! Then we'll have Berwald Jr. in the world!"

Denmark glared at the smaller man, "He will not be named after that bastard!"

Finland smirked at him, nodding, "Well, we'll have a Lukas Jr. then. Bet he'll be cute!"

Germany smiled at the Finn's words. Clearly, Finland was being strategic about this. If Denmark really was tired, then maybe bothering him and riling him up would give him the energy for the final pushes.

"Don't remind me of that bastard!" Denmark groaned out, squeezing his whole body to push his child out. "He did this to me and he's not in the room for me to break his freaking hand!"

Germany winced at the force exerted on his hand, knowing that it would be bruised by the end of the day, but stayed strong. Finland had taken over the birthing acts because... Well, Germany was just smart enough to not get in the way of a worried Finland. Besides, he was more than happy standing there and being extra support for the Dane when he clearly needed it.

"Come on, Denmark. Where's that Viking strength of yours? Has it left you?" Finland continued, posing his hands below the Dane's open legs as the baby slowly came out.

"It's... Still... Here..." Denmark grounded his teeth, all the while Germany groaned softly.

His hand was now completely broken.

"Well, show it, you weak- The baby's out!"

Denmark blinked in shock as a child's wail filled the room, then he looked up to find a smiling Finland bouncing a little human being in his hands. Germany winced as the pressure on his hands slowly disappeared until Denmark's hand was completely out of his, now reaching for his child.

"Can I hold him?" Denmark asked softly, not sure why he suddenly became so gentle.

Finland smiled at him and nodded, "Let me go through the motions first, though."

And so Finland did, Germany cleaning around Denmark and patting him on the head, even though he was nursing his right hand.

"Germany, you okay?" Denmark asked in a breathy tone, looking at the other blonde through half lidded eyes.

The German man only chuckled, nodding. "It's just a scratch."

Denmark frowned at him, knowing full well that Germany nursing his hand meant he had done something wrong, but Germany didn't give him any time to think about it.

"Would you like me to get Norway now?"

Denmark glared softly at him, but still sighed and nodded.

Germany went out of the room and came back with all of the men that had been waiting for Denmark and the newest Nordic, making Denmark smile in a tired manner at them.

"Matthias Jr. will have many uncles... I just noticed this..."

Norway chuckled softly at him and walked towards the bed, leaning over to place a chaste kiss on the Dane's lips.

"Is it okay for me to be here now?" He asked in a joking tone.

Denmark acted as if he was thinking on this, then nodded. "You're lucky you're cute."

Norway now laughed softly and nodded, "Just imagine how our son will be."

"So, is it a boy or a girl? Will it be a tiny Matthias or an evil Norway?" Prussia popped up on the Dane's other side, making Norway glare at him while Denmark chuckled.

"Does that mean Norway's the girl?"

Prussia scoffed as he crossed his arms. "Of course! Even if you're the mother, Norway's the more girly looking one!"

Germany stiffled a laugh at this while Italy giggled and Iceland laughed, but England and Sweden kept neutral faces at the insult. Luckily, before Norway could try to kill Prussia, Finland walked into the room with a bundle in his hands.

"Anyone want to see Matthias Jr.?"

Prussia perked up at this, turning his attention away from the angry Norwegian to the Finnish man. "So it's a boy?"

Finland smiled and nodded as he walked towards the group assembled around the bed, then he slowly handed the child over to his parents. Denmark grabbed the child and cradled him softly to his chest, amazed by the sight of the small creature. He was wide awake now, but instead of crying or seeming sleepy, he was looking up at the people around him, as if wondering who they were.

Seeing those bright blue eyes filled with curiosity Denmark knew Norway and him were in for a ride with this child.

"He's beautiful." Prussia breathed, softly stroking the babe's cheek.

"Just like his father." Norway smiled down at Denmark, who in turn flashed him a bright smile.

"We'll be having to beat France off with a stick." England sighed, arms crossed but a smile on his lips.

Finland rolled his eyes at his words, and, as he hugged Sweden, asked Denmark, "What's his name going to be? I'm pretty sure you're not gonna name him after yourself."

Denmark nodded, "He doesn't really look like a Matthias, does he?"

"Well what does he look like, Denny?" Italy popped up in front of Germany, looking down at the child with an amazed glint in his eyes. "Like a Romano? Or how about Feliciano?"

"No, he looks a lot more like a Gilbert! Or a Ludwig!" Prussia growled softly at the Italian, which made England shake his head.

"Clearly he's more of an Arthur."

And this sent the men into an argument about what the name should be. Well, all the men but Denmark, Germany, and Sweden.

"He's pretty cute. But I don't want to give him a weird name like Gilbert." Denmark breathed softly, looking on in dismay as Norway smacked Prussia's head.

"Want to give him a first world name?" Germany asked, still cradling his right hand in his left.

"Something that won't make him stand out too much when he goes to school. Having two dads will be pretty big already."

weden nodded at him, then muttered his first words since he had arrived at Germany's house. "Leif... or Leonard?"

Denmark blinked up at the Swede, then his face broke out into a wide smile. "Leonard! And we can call him Leo for short!"

"What, you decided without me?"

Denmark frowned at Prussia, then sighed and kissed his child on the cheek. "My Leo. He'll be braver than a lion."

Norway glared at the sad Prussian before he approached Denmark once more. He then crouched down and placed a hand on Leonard, smiling softly at them both. "Our Leo, you mean. You're not getting rid of me that easily."

Denmark couldn't help himself as he brought Norway down for a soft kiss, tears welling up in his eyes because of how happy he was.

He now had his perfect family. Complete with zany uncles, a precious child, and a wonderful boyfriend.

Epilogue:

"Uncle Ludwig! Uncle Gilbert! Aunt Francis! What are you all doing here?"

France groaned softly at the way he was called, insulted that he was thought of as a woman, but still smiled as Leonard bounced up and down, smiling up at the men on his doorstep.

"We're here for my birthday, of course!" Prussia announced brightly, then swooped down to pick up the six year old boy.

France rolled his eyes as Germany pushed his brother forward, not really in the mood for the Prussian's theatrics. Then Germany looked at France with a soft frown, which made the older man shake his head and wrap an arm around his waist.

"Let your brother have fun. He isn't around people with his mind set too often." France muttered as he kissed the German's cheek, which made both Prussia and Leonard stick his tongue out at him.

"Leonard, how many times have your Father and I told you to not answer the door without any kind of adult supervision?"

The group of four looked into the house to find a scowling Norway heading their way, carrying a four year old with long dark hair and bright blue eyes as another followed, clinging to his pants leg.

"Many, many times, Poppa! But I saw it was family from the window so I went to open it!" Leo answered, now safely sitting on Prussia's back.

"Sorry to intrude today, Lukas." France apologized, now molded into Germany's side. "But Gilbert here insisted on coming over to celebrate his birthday. And Matthias told us it would be okay."

Norway smiled at the Frenchman, having come to really appreciate him over the years of dealing with Prussia's insanity and Germany's aloofness, then shook his head. "No, that's not the problem. We knew family was coming. We've just told Leonard here to never answer the door without an adult present."

"Poppa! Cake!"

Norway sighed at the young boy pulling at his legs, all the while shaking his head. This boy had long blonde hair, but his eyes were as blue as the girls' in Norway's arms.

"Fili, no cake until after dinner. Now go help you Father set up the table."

The young boy stomped his foot before he ran off into the kitchen, all the while the girl in Norway's hands started struggling to get out and follow her twin. "Down! Down!"

"Kili, stop squirming like that. You might fall." Germany warned, making the girl turn to him with wide eyes.

Her eyes were as blue as Denmark's- maybe even bluer- and this always managed to catch Germany by surprise. These children all had extremely blue eyes.

"Now go after Fili." Norway sighed as he placed the girl down, who then took off running to catch up to her brother.

Prussia chuckled after them, clearly amused. "I still can't believe you let Matthias talk you into naming them like that. I never thought you'd let him!"

Norway chuckled softly as he scratched the back of his neck, shrugging. "What Matthias wants, he gets. And he said he couldn't pass up the perfect chance."

"I still don't know where Kili got the black hair from." Leo announced, then leaned towards Prussia's ear. "I think she's adopted, Uncle Gil."

Prussia shook his head at this, scolded the boy softly, then looked at Norway. "Is it okay if we head towards the food. Leo seems to have been enjoying the sweets too much, if you know what I mean."

This got a bonk on the head from the child but that only made Prussia smile. Norway smiled at them and nodded, then started to lead the small group towards the dinner table.

When they got there, they found Kili on Fili's shoulders, placing the plates around the table, all the while Denmark whistled a happy tune as he took the cake out of the oven.

"Remember to not let anything fall, kids." He called to his twins, who were so concentrated on helping each other that they didn't even try answering him.

Prussia chuckled at this and placed Leonard back on the floor, who quickly ran to his siblings to help set the table, then the Prussian walked towards his best friend while France, Germany, and Norway spoke to the side.

"How's the married life treating you?" Prussia asked, surprising the Dane so much he almost dropped the cake's pan.

"Gil!" The Dane scolded, but ended up laughing because of his own reaction. "It's made me nervous, as you can see!"

Prussia laughed as he hugged the slightly taller man, then, once they had separated, turned to look at the children. "The Italy's weren't able to come because of some burnt pasta, but Iggy tells me he'll be dropping by with Arthur and Matthew in an hour or two."

Denmark smiled at his best friend then turned to his children, who were now done setting the table but were busy playing a small game of topple. Kili, still on Fili's shoulders, pushed Leo as hard as possible, all the while Leo just poked her in the arm.

"Somebody's going to end up crying..." Denmark breathed out softly, but still smiled. "Berwald, Tino, and Emil will all drop by in an hour, they tell me. They'll be bringing Peter along."

Prussia nodded at the information, then couldn't help but shake his head. "Who would have thought this would be our lives, huh? If you'd told me six years ago all this would have happened, I'd tell you you were awesomely crazy."

Denmark smiled and nodded, completely agreeing with him. "I can't believe Ludwig and Francis are together. I always thought he'd end up with Feliciano."

"I know, right? And I always thought Francis would be with Arthur."

"Guess life really hasn't turned out the way we expected it." Denmark smiled at his friend, then looked at his husband.

Norway was smiling as he spoke softly with the two blondes, but he turned to Denmark for a second and smiled brightly at him. Denmark returned the smile and was about to send him a kiss, but their small moment was broken by a sudden wail from the direction of the children. Denmark turned to them, only to find Leonard on the floor with Fili and Kili sitting on his stomach.

"Dad!" Leo cried, struggling to push his siblings off of him.

All the while Kili and Fili giggled, completely oblivious to their older brother's distress.

Denmark sighed as he pushed himself from the cabinet, shaking his head. He scolded his twins and helped Leo up, wiping his tears away, but when he saw how the three returned to playing after the tears were dried, he couldn't help but smile.

Sure, he hadn't expected life to turn out this way. But he sure as heck wasn't bothered by the way it had played out.

So, you get long chapter because it's the final chapter! Maybe I'll do a short sequel for the kid's misadventures, but that's a big maybe.

Anyways, I hope you enjoyed reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it.

Please review to let me know you actually liked it!
