Naruto: Best Wishes

Chapter 15: Finishing the second battle.

Last time on Naruto: Best Wishes…

"Venusaur is unable to battle so the winner is…" the referee was one again interrupted. He looked again and saw the fire type was knocked out too. He sighed, "Both the Pokemon are unable to battle so this match is a draw, trainers please bring out your next Pokemon."

Now:

At the stands where all of the family and friends of Naruto was sitting, were wide eyed in surprise. Of course they knew he was strong and everything, they didn't know the extent. So it was surprising to see a younger rookie trainer match an experienced one move to move.

"Naruto has surely grown." Commented Professor Rowen, with a slight smile on his face. He was proud of the young trainer, whom he had taught a lot of things.

"That boy was always this special." Replied the aged professor. "I have never see someone with either so much talent, or someone who work as hard as him."

"Yeah, brother Naruto is the best." Yelled Ash, he was excited to see the model figure in his life in live action. He always admired Naruto's ability to get along with and help Pokémons.

"Yes, brother Naruto is the best trainer and when I will get my first Pokemon, I am going to challenge him to a battle." He stated, then he turned towards his eternal rival, "I bet I can defeat him before you." He goaded him and the result was as expected, both boys started on who was going to defeat Naruto first.

Mrs. Ketchum sighed in frustration of the boys' competitive nature but smiled. She was hurriedly clicking picture as fast as she could with her ever present camera and had got many good shots of Naruto's Infernape fighting the other girl's Venusaur.

The mother of the said boy, took all of the compliment to her boy in stride and smiled. She was happy that her boy had such great friends and family. He had that strange ability to make friends with anybody. She just wished he would have friends of his own age, but that would come in time. For now, she was content in watching her son's battle and cheering him as much as she could.

Back to the battlefield.

This time, it was Naruto's turn to choose his Pokemon first, seeing as Rosalie had done it before, he thought it was only fair that he would be the one to choose next.

Naruto was staring intently at the girl in front of him. The surprised expression from before had melted off, once again her face taking a stoic appearance. She was waiting for him to make his move. He contemplated for a second but decided to go with the lineup he had already planned. He pulled out a Pokéball, he had already returned Infernape after thanking him for such a great match.

He smiled slightly, as he threw the ball and came out his second Pokemon for the battle.

"Gardevoir ready for battle." He said as the red light formed into his faithful and loyal friend. She had changed a lot since she had evolved. She used be such a shy little girl, when she was just a little Ralts. She used to be nervous and her confidence was not very high. Naruto's faith never even once wavered in her and even protected her with his own body when she was in danger. Such a thing was heart touching, she had accepted her faith and given up but her trainer refused to, she drew her power from her trainer's faith and evolved into Kirlia. When she evolved she was more confident, as a result her growth was tremendous, which only increased several fold when she evolved into Gardevoir.

She was very grateful of her trainer. He believed in her when even she refused to believe in herself, but that was thing of the past. This is now, she was in a battle, which she was going to win… for her trainer.

"AND Naruto's second Pokemon is impressive looking Gardevoir. Let's see what if this new trainer has in stores what is needed to win the match." He heard the commentator but paid him no mind. He was totally focused on this match.

He looked to see the trainer was clearly thinking on who she should choose to face a psychic type. Well… dual psychic/fairy type, but you know what I mean. Most of her arsenal was grass type as she was looking forward to become a master of grass types. Not so say she didn't know how to counter such a Pokemon.

"Roselia I choose you." She said. Roselia was a small, light green bipedal Pokémon. It had three thorns on top of its head, and it had black eyes with long eyelashes. Visible from the back is a small stretch of yellow coloration around its neck much like a collar. It was one healthy looking and exuded certain type of confidence and power, as expected from a trainer who was pursuing mastery over grass types.

'She has trained that Pokemon well." The blonde thought. It was certainly refreshing to see such a graceful Pokemon.

"You can have the first move." Naruto said to the female trainer. He was speaking for the first time to her since the match started.

She just shrugged, "Sure, why not." Her voice was sweet and soft, and her Pokemon immediately straightened up and got ready for battle.

"Roselia, start things off with poison sting."

The dual grass and poison type didn't have any indication that it heard its trainer's command, instead, took a gulp of air and released purple colored darts of poison aimed at its opponent.

Naruto didn't even looked a bit concerned and stated, "Gardevoir double team."

The embrace Pokemon created her body double, through which the poison darts passed off immediately.

The female trainer didn't let up, she didn't wanted to give her fellow blonde a chance to retaliate and find a counter, "Roselia, stun spore."

The thorn Pokemon released yellow power like substance quickly covering the entire ground and rapidly approaching the embrace Pokemon.

"Gardevoir teleport." the dual psychic and fairy type disappeared from the battle ground. The little thorn Pokemon was frantically searching for her when she reappeared directly behind it, and before Rosalie could do anything he commanded, "Hypnosis."

Gardevoir's eyes glowed light blue as and the same glow appeared in her opponent's eyes as the move took effect. Few moments later it was soundly sleeping.

Naruto heard the cries form its trainer who was urging it to get up and was about to substitute but Naruto beat her to it. "Gardevoir dream eater."

The embrace Pokemon created a shadow like version of herself, which was light green, as her eyes glowed red and it instantly latched onto Roselia. The thorn Pokemon was knocked out seconds later.

Rosalie was watching wide eyed. It was the first change in her expression in the entire match. And why shouldn't she, after all her fellow blonde had made a short work on her Roselia.

"Roselia is unable to battle, Gardevoir wins." The referee announced as the crowd cheered.

Back to the stands:

As all the crowd present were cheering loudly, his two biggest fans, Ash and Gary were the loudest of them all. Their idol had defeated that Pokemon so quickly and was currently was in the lead. Even both Professor and mothers' were surprised at the quick but decisive match.

In the battle field:

Rosalie contemplated her options, their first match had been a draw. While she was impressed, she chalked it up to the beginners luck but now that he had defeated her soundly in the next round. She had to take this seriously, otherwise face lose in the battle. Oh, she was not going to lose this battle.

This was going to be the last battle and Naruto was currently in lead with him defeating her Roselia so soundly, this was not going as she had thought. She was hesitating though, not that Naruto blamed her. She was pushed back in that match with hardly an effort.

"Politoed I choose you." She stated. It was her last move, a bluff really. She had counted on Naruto have a team with more than one fire type, seeing she was aiming to become a master of grass type, but the other blonde had pulled different strategy altogether and called a psychic type (as far as she knew). She gambled on the fact that Naruto must have another fire type on his team.

Politoed was a green, bipedal, frog-like Pokémon with yellow hands, belly, throat, and toes. It had a long, curled hair on top of its head and pink cheek spots. There was a green swirl on its belly.

Naruto picked and pulled another Pokéball. He had already decided to go along with his current lineup without changing it. So the next choice was…

"Torterra I choose you." He stated as the said Pokemon came out of his Pokéball and landed on the ground with a large "boom" which send little shock wave around the battle ground. Testament to his weight.

The blonde haired girl was surprised. It showed on her face, to which Naruto gave a smirk. She had not expected Naruto to have a grass type on his team to go against a self-proclaimed master of grass type. She frowned, it was like Naruto was mocking her.

"The third and final battle… begin." The referee announced. No sooner that the worlds had left his mouth, Naruto was already on the offensive. He was tired of waiting and wanted to finish the match fast.

"Torterra, start things off with razor leaf." He command as the razor like leaf was released in the large amount from the continent Pokemon.

Rosalie was surprised with the amount of power behind such a basic move. "Politoed ice beam."

Because the attack was so fast that the small toad like had no chance of dodging, the female trainer decided to cancel the move with an attack of her own. The frog Pokemon launched a white colored beam that continued on its path before colliding with the incoming attack.

Even with the type disadvantage the razor leaf pushed the ice type attack back before both of them exploded.

Even though Rosalie had expected a large amount of raw power from the grass type, it was just plain ridiculous. What the heck was this boy feeding his Pokemon?

"Torterra Frenzy Plant."

Torterra's body became outlined in green and it slammed its front two legs into the ground. Giant roots with spikes on them came out of the ground and strike his opponent. The poor frog Pokemon was busy dodging all the roots but the number was too great for him.

Many branches stuck it with great force and it was immediately knocked out.

"Politoed is unable to battle, Torterra wins and since Rosalie has no more Pokemon, the match goes to Naruto." The referee announced as the crowd cheered.

Naruto returned the continent Pokemon to his Pokeball and thanked him for his help. He smiled warmly at his opponent then left the battle field. He was going to the Pokemon canter to get his Pokemon checked up but the commotion there gained his attention.

His mother and two Pokemon professors were already there, grim look on their faces.

"What happened?" he asked.

All of them looked at him with concern in their eyes. But it was Professor Rowen who answered.

"You opponent for the next match had been decided." He didn't look happy about that, not by a long shot. "It is the same trainer, who seriously injured his opponents Pokemon and crushed his spirits, K."

Naruto gave all of them a look of determination and confidence. "Don't worry, I am going to defeat him." He declared.

"Confident, are we?" a sudden, voice drew attention to itself.

Standing few feet away from them was the said trainer, speak of the devil…

"Yes, I am." It was a simple reply.

K gave a cruel smirk, it was the only thing visible because of a large hood covering almost entirety of his face.

"We shall test that spirit of yours' in the battle field tomorrow." With that he left.

Naruto watched his back as he left the Pokemon center, the blonde could still feel string negative emotion coming from him. One thing was for sure… it was not going to be an easy battle.

A/N: And that's it for the chapter. Sorry for the late update, from now on the update will be more frequent. I have decided to continue my first story, though it would still take some time to write the new chapter.
