Starfall

A Teen Titans poem

Red, Yellow, Green, Blue and Purple

Standing atop a Tower tall

There are fiery lights on the horizon tonight

A brilliant flashing starfall,

Red and Yellow sit together

Cuddled up, no worries at all

At peace, Red and Yellow are

Watching the shining starfall,

Blue isn't alone, though his stance suggests

His eyes glimmer, memories recall

His team will always have his back

Even when his pace is at a crawl,

Purple is tentative, her gaze darts about

Frightened of the foes that induce thrall

But their presence is lacked in the shimmering night

And Green worries for her panicked befall,

Green walks to Purple's side, watching the lights

"Are you not happy?" he asks in a drawl

Purple stares at the ground and lets out a sigh

She answers, "Even in delight, I feel gall."

Green places a hand around his distressed teammate

And tells a joke of obvious banal

To his surprise, Purple embraces him

Despite her previous appall,

Purple and Green kiss under the moon

Red and Yellow watch with enthral

But Blue smiles, and ushers them away

Keeping to his respectful moral,

The heroes stay on the roof together

Only once does Purple utter a call

And Green and Purple are finally at peace

Faces lit by the flashing starfall.

A/N: Happy Fourth of July, guys. Hope you had a nice one.
