Thence gathering plumes of perfect speculation,

To imp the wings of thy high-flying mind,

Mount up aloft through heavenly contemplation,

From this dark world, whose damps the soul so blind,

And, like the native brood of eagles' kind,

On that bright Sun of Glory fix thine eyes,

Clear'd from gross mists of frail infirmities.

Walking into his cottage, Dora looked around, before turning towards her new husband. Reaching up, she wrapped her arms around his neck and placed a tender kiss on his lips. "Thank you," she mumbled softly against his lips. "Thank you for being my husband. Thank you for calming me, taking care of me, thank you for being my family."

"Thank you for being my wife," Remus smiled softly, before pressing his lips against hers once more. They had promised each other a year ago for one day a time, being together. Today he promised for a lifetime with her. He let his hands drop to her hips as he deepened the kiss, spreading her lips with his tongue.

This wasn't the phase of the moon, still two weeks until the full moon. This was love. And as he felt her tighten around him, and starting to play with the hair at the nape of his neck, he knew that they were in this for the long run.

Pulling away from the embrace, he whimpered slightly, which caused Dora to giggle. "Get comfortable, I'll be a moment," pecking his lips, she placed her hands on his and withdrew them from her hips.

Remus smiled at watching her disappear into the rooms of his cottage. This was a home he now got to share with someone who cared for him-his wife. Remus has a wife. Sirius and James would have been bursting with joy at seeing him happy. When James and Lily wed, he remembered the sheer joy on his friends' faces, how happy he was to be witness to the event. It broke his heart that none of his dear friends were able to be at his marriage.

Being married was something Remus never thought would happen. He knew that in peacetime this relationship would have never made it this far. He would have left, abandoned his happiness, and waited to return until he knew she had fallen in love with someone else. But this was war, and he found love in a time of unrest.

He moved quietly around the cottage, checking his sneakescope, and waving his wand at the door locking it from intruders. Not that anyone knew where the cottage was mind you. Living in a small village, Budle Bay, in Northumberland, he was far away from any wizarding community he knew about. The cottage itself was surrounded by vacation cottages, and there were only half a dozen people who live here year round. Remus had been doing mundane repair work on the cottages to maintain a living. They were not suspicious of his once a month sudden illnesses but were always impressed at the speed of repairs. A flick of a wand would let him do work which would normally take hours, in mere minutes. It was good work, paid well, and he had yet to encounter another wizard-which was good for him.

He had added a basement in the cottage, fit for his transformations, allowing him to not harm anyone, and remain safe. He had never had anyone but Sirius in his home, who laid low between the third task, and his repossession of Grimmauld Place. And now his home became their home.

"Remus?" her soft voice asked from the doorway of their bedroom. "Anything the matter?"

"Not at all Love," Remus smiled at his wife-his wife-before moving to their bedroom doorway. As her smile widened, her hair peaked with bright pink.

"Come, there is something I want to show you," she held out his hand, which Remus took, as she pulled him into their bedroom. On their bed sat a single parcel wrapped in brown paper. Remus raised a brow as he looked at Dora. "It's from Mad-Eye." Sitting down on the bed, she took the parcel in her hands and opened it. Inside the paper lay a clock, but it wasn't ordinary. The stars and planets moved freely, as there was the moon, showing the phase. "That git."

"It's a clock?" Remus asked as Dora shook her head.

"No, it doesn't tell time but shows the phases of the moon and the planets. When aligned perfectly it can turn back time. Kind of like a time turner, but we don't have control of it aligning. They're extremely rare. The only one I ever saw lay in the Department of Mysteries. It was protected from enchantments from being touched. I thought it had been destroyed last June…" smiling she ran her finger over the clock, before standing up suddenly. Jumping to stand on the bed, she walked to the head before holding the clock to the wall with one hand, before pulling her wand and mumbling a sticking spell. Before stepping backwards to admire her work, and characteristically losing her balance, falling onto Remus.

Laughing she leaned into his chest, feeling the warmth that was his body, as she felt him laugh. "Don't laugh." she chided softly.

"I'm sorry Love," Remus replied, stifling his laughter. Pecking him on the lips, she threw herself back on the bed.

"Tell me Mr. Remus John Lupin, are you happy?" She was serious.

"Incredibly," Remus confirmed. "Mrs. Remus John Lupin," he added with a twinkle in his eyes. Grinning from ear to ear, she moved forward and wrapped her arms around his neck.

"I'm so glad," she winked as she placed a kiss onto his lips. Remus moved his hands to her hips again, pulling her closer. He could feel the warmth of her body under his fingertips. She had moved closer so that in a moment she was sitting on his lap, as she kissed him deeply. Remus moved his hands up her sides, feeling her breathing against his hands. He let his hands travel to her back, and begin to unbutton the dress she wore.

If this was what it was to be married, she wanted every experience to be this powerful.
