Chapter 41:

Chris Argent

Chris ran after Kate and had finally found her in a deep part of the ruins. He tried aiming at her and chased her inside, then stopped when she had finally reached a dead end. She panted and frowned, looking at Chris hoping to see if she can ever convince him not to kill her.

"You wanna kill me, Chris?" Kate asked through her heavy breathing.

"No." He replied with as much pain as her, "But, I don't want to save you anymore either. I don't know if you're worth saving!"

"It's just like when we were kids," Kate shook her head, "always trying to make me the bad guy! You can't see me clearly anymore, can you? Scott's not your hero! None of them are! Not when they killed Allison."

It was like a gut punching his stomach when the sound of her name slipped from Kate's lips. The two felt a new sorrow when they both have finally faced the truth that Allison is officially dead. But, he had to keep his head up high.

He said, "Allison died. She died saving her friends! Who would you die for? Hm?"

"You're not going to kill me." Kate said.

No, I'm not, Chris said in his head, but I'm not going to let you kill Audrey either.

"You're not going to catch me!" Kate hissed, "Not you, not Peter, and not the Calaveras!" With that, she ran off.

Liam Dunbar

Everyone ran and followed Liam going into the ditch. There, Audrey still laid there unmoving. Chris had finally managed to catch up with the whole pack when they met at the ditch. There they all found Audrey at the same time, asleep in the same skull bone-glass coffin. She still didn't move a bit.

Everyone surrounded the sleeping girl, looking at her closely. It was like the coffin was actually protecting her, not killing her. Scott looked at everyone and they all nodded. Then, they proceeded to try to pry the tomb open. After a while, they finally opened it.

Immediately, Liam carried her out of the tomb and laid her down on the ground placing her head on his lap. Everyone watched and waited for her to wake up as Liam stroked her hair, hoping to make her look comfortable and neat. A few minutes later, Audrey woke up by taking a huge breath and regaining her consciousness. She then calmed down and finally recognized Liam and the others. She then smiled.

Audrey Mendler

"Liam!" She gasped. She was finally awake, and now she hoped that they are not delusions and that she will finally be able to get out of this place for good. Audrey looked around and saw Chris and Derek coming closer to her and she her smile grew wider.

"I'll take her." Chris offered.

Liam helped Audrey get up slowly while Derek took her hand. She wobbled a little bit but managed to stand up straight. She took Chris's hand and proceeded to follow him out of the ditch and through the temple ruins. Finally, it felt good to finally see the sun after multiple hours.

Now that she thought about it, it wasn't even a day's worth but it was still horrifying staying in that temple for even at least an hour.

Everyone was filing out with her. Scott placed his arm around Kira just as Liam did the same with Audrey. It had been so long since she felt his lovely warmth on her. She nuzzled into the crook of his neck.

"Audrey?" Chris asked, waking her up from him. Just as she was about to let go of him and leave, Liam tugged on the hem of her shirt. He said, "Wait, not yet!" She obliged and just stood in front of him waiting for him to say something.

But, Liam hesitated for a little bit. He stood up and down on his toes and twisted his torso from side to side in nervousness, but finally he spoke, "I was wondering... That once we get back, and.. Once everything slowly cleans up, maybe we... We can go on a date?"

Audrey's cheeks blushed deeply to a crimson red. It was burning and even Chris could feel it when he placed his hand on her shoulder. He nudged her a little bit and chimed, "Are you going to answer him?"

She looked around, actually pondering a little bit. Then, her eyes landed on Derek, who smiled contently at her. He beckoned for her to say something.

Audrey finally came back to Liam and said, "Yes, I'd love that!"

Liam's smile grew extremely wide. He nodded and squeaked, "Okay! I mean, okay! I look forward to it!"

Audrey took a head start and headed into Chris' truck with Parrish inside. From outside, she could hear Stiles giving Liam a big high five and a slam dunk yelling, "Alright dude! You got her! You finally got her!... Sorry Derek."

Audrey chuckled to herself and proceeded to wait for Chris to come in and take her home.

"You do know he's not exactly leaving yet, right?" Parrish asked.

Audrey's eyebrows furrowed, "What do you mean?"

"Weeks ago, before he adopted you, he signed up and agreed to find Kate with the Calaveras upon their request," he handed her a file that stated it all, "I don't think he can back down now."

Audrey managed to fake a small smile. She didn't mind anyway, she understood. This was before she got adopted. She said, "Well, I guess coming home alone for a few weeks wouldn't hurt!"

Parrish scoffed, "Are you kidding me? I'm a policeman, I'm technically underhand Sheriff. I'm a cop. It makes me a brother of every citizen in Beacon Hills, and that includes you! Now, that doesn't mean I'm gonna be living with you until Chris comes back but I'll be doing something close it. I'll drive you places, feed you, drop you off to and back from school, and be the best big brother you've never had! Sound cool?"

Audrey laughed, "Definitely!"

Parrish smiled, "Cool. Now, rule one!"

"Oh my god." Audrey groaned.

"No, no! It's a good rule! Just call me by my first name. Jordan! I'm your brother, remember?"

"Okay, Jordan!" Audrey mimicked in his voice, "Big brother."

"I have a few other sisters so hearing those words doesn't surprise me."

"Wow, the sass!" Audrey smacked his arm with the file and he laughed it off. He then stopped her by putting his index finger to his lips and changed into serious mode. He jumped out of the van and stood there for awhile, listening to Chris talk. Meanwhile, Audrey just sat there, hoping that the heat would pass by and leave already. A few minutes later, he came back in after Chris.

After a few minutes everyone seemed to be walking around. She watched everyone bid their goodbyes, especially Derek and Scott. They packed themselves up, dusted any residue off, and bunched up into separate cars to go home. That was where everyone was finally going.

Audrey was finally going home.

A/N- it's coming to a close! AND I know there was a review that I saw but when I go into my computer, it doesn't show up so maybe the person deleted it? But either way, I think that person was right and I owe you all an explanation and an apology.

I am deeply sorry for the Mrs. Liam Dunbars out there for the confusion of the love interest in this story. YES, right now Audrey is with Liam as you all wanted but eventually, I kinda want her to be with Derek. But, I'd like to state that this is MY story and I have an explanation behind this as for why I want this decision.

Reading into what Teen Wolf producers have been publishing, writing, and saying about what's in store for the cast of Teen Wolf, have any of you noticed that Derek is gone? Not only that, but Liam Dunbar does have a love interest coming up, and it starts in Season 5 (as all of you can tell already, it's extremely obvious). I may not have seen the show for Season 5 (only one episode) but it has been confirmed that Hayden Romero aka Victoria Moroles (who is actually older than Dylan which I find kinda weird sorry) is going to be Liam's love interest throughout Season 5. I would work my way through it but I don't want Liam to appear as a cheater in my stories. More importantly, I want you all to remember that I want my characters to blend in with the actual show as realistically as possible. I don't mean to be hard on you guys but this is my decision. If anything changes or some sources are wrong, PLEASE LET ME KNOW! I know for sure that Derek will primarily not star in this season but I think he will appear in a few episodes? Not sure yet but that is why I wanted Audrey with Derek. Thus, I have said before, this story will dedicate Audrey with Liam but the next with Derek. Lastly, with these decisions, I don't want to make Audrey "slutty" throughout my series. Furthermore once the next story goes into depth, I do not want anyone throwing profanity nor signs of disappointment about Audrey going to Derek. Remember Allison going from Scott to Isaac? Or Lydia from Jackson to a little bit of Stiles to Aiden? I do not want unnecessary hate. These stories are not even meant to be made into books.

This concludes my statement. Once again, I deeply apologize for all those who are disappointed but this is what I choose. I also do not mean to be hard about this, trust me, I'm torn between both of the characters (I forreal love them both! Trust)! I just hope I gain your respect and support and to continue reading what I write. If not, that is okay. I understand thank you.

Also, this is not the last chapter. Thanks!
