Her
I hear Zelda screaming my name for help. Guards are storming in the room, trying and stop me but they stand no chance in my fit of rage. I tackle my way through them until I end up in the main hall. I look around to see them making a circle around me and closing in on all sides. I unsheathe the master sword and charge at the guard in front of me. I quickly jump and roll over him to get out of the circle.
I throw multiple bombs at the group of guards to cover my escape and try to find Zelda. I follow the screams of Zelda calling my name through out the castle, I block out the noises of fighting and banging of the castle doors as I run and yell out Zelda's name. I continue to follow her screams until I get to a very, very large door. I hear her screaming from the other side of the door until all the sudden it comes to a stop.
I start to panic as I yell her name and bang on the door. I use all my strength to open the door but it finally pushes open. I walk through the opening to see a giant room with no one in sight except a man. I move closer to get a better look before I see who it is. He turns around and looks at me with a grin. "You!" I say. "Ah so your the one she always talked about" He says. "Where is she!" I demand. His grin gets even bigger as he motions his head to his right.
I look where he is motioning to see Zelda laying there, unconscious. "What did you do to her?" I angrily ask. "Nothing too bad" He replies, "nothing a slap can't do". He starts to laugh, not noticing me charging at him. I tackle him and throw him across the room.
He gets up, wiping his clothes off a little and charges back at me. He punches me across the face and slams me to the ground. I bring him down with me and we both begin to wrestle with each other, trying to get the upper hand.
I finally get the advantage and begin to knee him in the face. His face starts to get bruised up and he throws me off of him. He stands up and wipes the blood from beneath his nose, looking at it on his hands. "How dare u make me bleed! My face is too precious to bleed!" He yells at me. "Trust me, Your face doesn't look that different." I reply with a grin.
This seems to anger him as he yells even louder and unsheathes his blade. He runs at me, sword first, but I move out of the way. I quickly trip him to the ground and shoot my arrows around his body to pin him to the floor. He try's to struggle free as I run over to Zelda and pick up her body in my arms.
I run out of the room with Zelda in arms and try to get her to safety. I run over to Zelda's room but I see guards surrounding the area. They look at me and begin to go after me as I quickly turn and run the other direction.
I continue to try to find a way out of the castle until all the sudden I hear Zelda whispering my name. I look down to see her looking up at me, with those dreamy blue eyes of hers. "Have a nice nap darling?" I jokingly ask her with a smile. "Shut up Link. Where are we?" She asks. "Currently trying to find an exit from your castle" I tell her, "any ideas?". "Go to the roof" she tells me, "there's scaffolding we can climb down from." I start to make my way up the roof before I hear her tell me, "Link, You know I can walk right? You don't need to carry me anymore." "True, but I much prefer to carry you in my arms anyways." I respond.
I see her cheeks turn red in response to my answer as I continue to make my way to the roof. I finally make it to the top before I finally let Zelda on the ground again. She points towards where we need to climb down and I begin to move there but all the sudden I hear something behind us.
I turn around to see the king looking at both of us with a sword in hand. "Get behind me" I tell Zelda. She moves behind me as I unsheathe the master sword and charge at him. Our swords strike each other with immense blows, both our movements swift.
"Just let us go" I tell him. "Never" He says, "Zelda is mine and so is this kingdom." "I will never be yours. I love Link" She yells at him. Damn I love that women. He gets furious to what she says and begins to fight more aggressive. I narrowly cut him on his right thigh and he begins to limp.
He starts to grunt and growl in pain as I cut him in more places. He try's to tackle me down to the ground but I get out of the way. I trip on a stone as move out of the way and I fall to the ground. I hear Zelda give a short panicked scream but I reassure that I'm okay as I get up.
I turn around and get caught off guard when I see him a foot away from me, swinging his sword. He knocks the master sword out of my hand and slices me across the chest. I go down to my knees, trying to catch my breath as I feel another slice across my back. I grunt in pain as I look up too see him in front of me.
"Oh poor Link. Poor, poor link. He thought he could save the girl. He thought he could barge in my castle and take what's rightfully mine." He rants, "here's what's going to happen. I'm going to kill you, your little attack is going to end, and Zelda is going to stay locked up with no hope of anyone saving her."
"Your a fool" I say to him, "I'm going to kill you, you'll never going to hurt anyone ever again, I promise you that."
"Weird thing to say when your about to die" He tells me. I hear Zelda begging him not to do it but he's not listening. I close my eyes and whisper to myself "I love you Zelda" and accept my fate. I hear the sword thrust but nothing happens to me.
I open my eyes to see Zelda in front of me and then see the blade that pierced through her. She looks at me with those loving eyes and then falls to the side. I look at her in shock before I finally snap out of it and begin to yell in rage. He try's to run away but I pull him back and begin to beat on him. I takes his own sword against him and stab him through his stomach before I lead him to the edge.
He stands there shaking his head, trying to convince me to let him go, but I pull the sword out and kick him off of Hyrule Castle. I yell in agony for all of Hyrule to hear.
I turn back to see Zelda barely alive on the floor. I get down beside her and cradle her in my arms. I begin to tear up as I say "Zelda please, stay with me. I've come this far, please don't leave me now.
She raises her hand and caresses my cheek as she looks at me with tears in her eyes. "Link, I..I.."
"I know Zelda, I know. Save your energy, I'm getting you out of here." I pick her up again and start to go back down stairs. "Link what are u doing? I'm not going to make it. Just leave me here." She tells me. "Like hell I'm leaving you. I promised I would save you, I'm keeping that promise." I say back to her. She doesn't argue back and instead I hear her wince in pain every time I take a step, it kills me to hear her wince.
I look down again to see her eyes barely open, "Zelda, stay with me, please." I say sadly. "I'm trying Link." She says weakly. "We're almost there." I tell her.
I step into the view of guards but they do nothing. They see Zelda in my arms and just let me walk by as they stare. The resistance members come out from around the corner and also see the sight that the soldiers see. I walk out the castle gates and everybody stops in their place. The huge crowds of Castle Town make a path for me, all the way to the resistance hideout.
Derrick walks in behind me and sees Zelda in my arms, "What happened?" He asks. "She got stabbed." I say with tears in my eyes. I bring her to my room and set her down on my bed. She's barely awake, but she's awake.
I hold her hand in my own. "Zelda, please don't die on me. Don't...don't leave me." She doesn't answer me and her eyes are closed. This can't be happening. She...she can't be dead. I feel Derrick's hand on my shoulder, and hear him leave the room. I look down and close my eyes, not able to look at her, and then I feel my hand being squeezed and I look up to meet her gaze.
"Never."
Well guys that's my first story wrapped up. I decided to change the ending to make it fit what you guys would think and like. Plus, I think it fits just as well as the other one and adds more to the love Link and Zelda have for each other.
I hoped you enjoyed my first story and I hope the ending is as enjoyable to read as much as it was enjoyable to write.
