A/N: 100 reviews and over 300 favorites? You guys are awesome. And sorry, I've been so late with updates thanks to college, writer's block, and also being politically active. One of the awful things they want to do is censor the Internet, so let's make sure to make sure to say no to that bullshit.

Anyhow, this chapter is gonna have more of Duo's memories and the Weasley's reactions to the news being published by Rita Skeeter. So let's see how this all plays out-will Duo regain any of his memories of his past? Or will it all be a blur? Either way, he doesn't give a shit about the wizards.

Chapter 15 the Shinigami's memories

Molly and Arthur Weasley were still in a state of shock after they read the article published in the Daily Prophet. Time seemed to have come to a standstill after they read that article written about them. People stopped seeing them or corresponding with them, many having sent them howlers demanding they apologize for mistreating Harry Potter for all those years.

Arthur had been ostracized by the Ministry of Magic, and even Lucius Malfoy had stopped him to tell him what an inspiration he was to He-Who-Must-not-Be-Named in terms of cruelty and child abuse, lengths of which apparently even Mr. Malfoy was against, something that greatly angered Arthur. It wasn't his fault-his wife had wanted it for Ginny, and they had wanted what was best for their child! Besides, Harry had loved Ginny and was willing to do anything for her.

But had they gone overboard with the keeping secrets from Harry thing? Maybe they had, maybe they hadn't. Either way, all that mattered now was in finding a way to get Ginny back into the family. She had slowly withdrawn from their lives after all this hullaballoo, refusing to answer any of their owls and sending Dungbombs with her owl. It created quite a mess and was difficult to pick up. Overall, their plan was in ruins and they wouldn't be able to make Ginny happy, nor would they be able to afford the happiness they'd promised their children.

They wanted to lift their children out of poverty, and they figured Harry Potter could give them access to that money, once he became famous enough from defeating Voldemort. He could possibly get a lot of money and then make it so Ginny could make sure they were never poor again. Being poor wasn't very fun, in fact it sucked.

Molly had started out doing this for a very materialistic, but natural cause-so she could buy regular clothes for her children instead of giving them hand-me-downs all the time, so her children wouldn't be made fun of for dressing poorly, and so she could move up in society and improve their standard of living. She didn't like the way they were living now. She wished she could at least make her children happy. Apparently, she hadn't been thinking that through when she'd barely even considered her daughter's opinions and feelings.

Molly sat at the table, regretting every second she'd spent on this stupid plan. How could she have let her own daughter down like this, for the sake of her own greed and childish stupidity? She had been blinded by the promise of wealth, and now look what it cost her. Her own daughter hated her, and she had every right to, given what she had done to her.

She let the tears slide down her face as she wept bitterly, ashamed of herself for betraying her own family.

That was where Ron found his mother, crying silently. He hated seeing her cry. She was such a strong woman and had done so much for him and his siblings. He hated seeing Ginny cause his mother such pain, he hadn't seen her this bad since Percy had betrayed the family.

"Mum, are you all right?" He asked.

Molly sniffed and shook her head. "Just leave." She assured, "I'm fine."

Ron came down and sat beside her. "You're not fine, Mum. Ginny hurt you, didn't she? But she's my sister. I should've known better than to mistreat her, and to mistreat Harry. We really screwed up this time."

Molly nodded before pulling her son into a hug. "We need to apologize to her. She deserves it, after what we've done to her. We ruined her life by using her."

"You wanted to make her happy, Mum. But we should've asked her opinion first." Ron agreed, feeling ashamed of himself. How could he have been so stupid? "And I..I was really stupid with Harry and now he's gone. It's all my fault, if I had just been a better person-"

"Ron, don't you blame yourself! We all knew Harry was going to die sometime, even if it hurt losing him. It's just unfortunate that it happened the way that it did. I really, I really did care for him. And now he's gone and Ginny is..." She lost it and started weeping bitterly.

Arthur came downstairs, and so did the Weasley twins, who stared at their mother, divided on whether they should forgive their mother or blame her for hurting Ginny.

"Molly?" Arthur asked. He nodded at the children to indicate they should go up to bed, but the Weasley twins refused.

"Ron, up to bed, please."

"But, Mum-"

"Up to bed, young man." Arthur said sharply.

Ron frowned before trudging upstairs, wondering if he could have time traveled, could he have redone his meeting with Harry and saved his life?

'It's all my fault. I killed him for my own selfish needs.'

Ron cried, too.

He knew Harry as he was now didn't know him, and didn't care about him. That was what hurt the most. Despite his claims to the contrary, he had cared about Harry, he had just believed Dumbledore's lies.

He couldn't make it up to the real Harry. The real Harry was dead.

And it was all his fault.

"Molly, don't blame yourself." Arthur consoled his wife.

"Ginny will never forgive me!" She moaned. "I-I betrayed her wishes! Why didn't we trust in her?"

"We made a mistake." Arthur said, rubbing her back. "We all make mistakes, Molly. But we can fix this mistake by trying to reach out to both her and the new Harry, make him see reason and show him we're sorry."

"He doesn't know us now." Molly said, "And frankly, he doesn't need to, after what we've done."

"Shhh, it's okay, Molly. Just let it all out, I'm here." Arthur said, while the Weasley twins watched in silence, too afraid to say anything.

"Do you think we should support Ginny?" Fred said to George, who nodded.

"Yes, definitely. The new Harry seems fun, too. I think we should support them and help Mom. But first, let's let them have their moment alone." George explained.

He and Fred went up to bed, letting their parents have their alone time.

Elsewhere, Rita Skeeter chuckled as she twirled her pen. Yes, Miss Weasley had turned out to be a valuable source of information. Thanks to her, the Weasleys were now social outcasts, and so was Dumbledore, who was under investigation by the Ministry for allegations of neglect and overlooking the dangers at his school, as well as the poor standards at Hogwarts.

There were rumors of students being bullied by teachers. Such stories made for delicious drama. Rita just had to write them all down, and bam, someone's reputation was ruined. But this made her despise Dumbledore even more. He was so hypocritical and sanctimonious. Rita knew he'd had a few skeletons in his closet, but to think they were this bad.

How delicious and entertaining.

She might hate the man, but that didn't mean she didn't find pleasure in ruining his life, because she did and he deserved it, after all.

Duo frowned as he walked back and forth in his room, unsure of what to think of the red-haired girl who had betrayed her own family just to help him. She seemed nice enough, but on the other hand, he didn't trust any of those people. According to her sources, in a past life he had died because of these people. So why should he trust them now?
