Eh this story didn't turn out the way I expected so oh well It should make sense just ask if they're are any mistakes. :)
A letter was posted to Scotland Yard on the 31st of January 14 days ago, by an anonymous sender and no specific reliever named.
At first the commissioner opened the letter and had been confused by the unidentified intention of the letter.
The letter was passed on through the people of Scotland Yard, eventually it ended up in Alfendi's hands and he read through it thoroughly.
On the tenth day he had been at his desk scouring the letter for any clues.
"Red and blue are your style,
Don't be shy, don't be vile.
When I ask you simply this,
Do what must, your hearts desire..."
Alfendi puzzled over the mysterious notes in his hand. He had figured out the intention of this letter as being a carefully constructed love letter and the receiver was clearly shown in "red, blue, shy and vile" referring to both Potty Prof and Placid.
Red and blue have a double meaning which shows the letter to be a love letter for example "roses are red, violets are blue..."
The poem continues on to say:
"If you don't see, I'll help you out.
Through good times and bad,
So have no fear and never doubt.
That I will stand by you forever and always"
Soon after he read the second verse Lucy came bounding into the mystery room with a grin stretching from ear to ear. She walked over to Al not yet noticing the papers he held in one hand.
"I bought you a snack Prof. But you have to close ya eyes and open yer mouth."
Al reluctantly closed his eyes and a small sugar coated item was given to him. A familiar taste of cinnamon swirls in his mouth and the crumbly pastry melts away.
"Delicious Lucy. Thank you"
The last lines read:
"Cinnamon. Trust me."
"Read this and tell me what you think Lucy"
He holds out the sheet of paper but just before she could grab them he pulls her wrists in and makes her hugs him.
"You cheeky little minx Baker!"
Lucy was somewhat shocked at Potty Prof's sudden appearance but shortly after smiled at him.
"It took you long enough..."
