Wow. You guys, I can't believe this is it! This is the last chapter of Sisterhood! I looked at when I first published this, and it was back on August 14th one whole year ago, and here we are, a little more than one year later at the end! I seriously feel like I'm about to cry.

Epilogue – The Return

Five women stood in a small group, each of them waiting in anticipation. One woman with dark skin and curly hair had a small baby carrier at her feet. Inside laid a small little girl sleeping. Another woman with curly blonde hair pulled back in a ponytail held the hands of a small boy and girl at her sides. Beside her stood a tall, lanky woman with piercing blue eyes and dark hair. Two girls, one barely a teenager and one almost an adult stood by her and so did a boy who looked to be the youngest. The second to last woman, who looked to be the youngest out of all of them, did not have any children with her but simply stood, biting her nails and combing her fingers through her chestnut hair. The woman on the end held a little boy whose head was resting on her shoulder. Her dark hair mixed with his blonde locks, and she gave him a quick kiss on the side of the head.

None of them said anything; there was nothing really to be said. Each of them had grown throughout the past year so much. Each one was a little older and a little wiser. Each one had their personal storms to navigate through but managed to come out of it alive and well. And most importantly, each one leaned on another for love, comfort, support and friendship.

"Do you guys know what we are?" Thalia asked suddenly, breaking the silence. All of the women looked at her questioningly. Thalia smiled. "We're a sisterhood."

"Sisterhood…" Calypso agreed, nodding and smiling.

"I like the sound of that," Piper said quietly. Annabeth and Hazel simply smiled.

Flight 716 is now departing. A voice echoed over them. They all looked at one another and, as if they were one, moved together and group hugged. And then they stood, waiting.

Annabeth

The little girl's golden locks bounced as she looked up at her mother. "Mama, when's Daddy gonna be here?"

Annabeth checked her watch. "He should be here any minute, Laurel. In fact, they just said his plane landed and they were departing." Laurel's mouth widened into a big smile, and she looked at her twin brother.

"Miles, did you hear that?! Daddy's gonna be here soon!" Miles looked at his sister and returned her smile, nodding eagerly.

The first man to get off wasn't Percy, and neither was the second one. Annabeth was just starting to lose hope when she felt Miles let go of her hand. He bolted forward, and Laurel followed soon after. Annabeth jogged after them, her excitement growing.

"DADDY!" Laurel and Miles screeched at the same time. The third soldier that had appeared around the corner immediately dropped his bag, knelt down and opened his arms wide. The twins leapt into his open arms; Miles immediately began to cry as he buried his face in his father's shoulder. Percy's strong arms hugged both of them tight as he kissed the tops of their heads.

Annabeth could do nothing but watch with a smile on her face.

"I missed you, Daddy!" she heard Laurel say.

"I missed you too, sweetheart." Percy's voice seemed to make Annabeth realize that he really was there, that it wasn't just her imagination. Tears filled her eyes and cascaded down her cheeks, probably ruining the bit of mascara she decided to put on, but she didn't care.

Sea-green eyes latched onto steel grey ones. The twins, sensing that their mother also needed to hug Percy, backed away. Percy stood up and stepped towards her, smiling. He was a lot tanner than she remembered and a bit taller, but he was still Percy. Annabeth flung herself at him, sobbing almost uncontrollably as she buried her face in the crook of his neck.

"Hey, Wise Girl…" Percy said softly as he returned the embrace, hugging her tightly.

"I missed you so much, Seaweed Brain." Annabeth wanted to say more, so much more – but those were the only words that escaped her lips. Somehow they said everything that needed to be said. Percy looked at her face, his eyes wet with unshed tears.

"I missed you too, Annabeth." The tender moment was interrupted by a smirk forming on his lips. "Well, I came back. Don't I get a kiss?"

Annabeth chuckled and gave him the biggest kiss of her life. Well, the biggest one she could while two little ones yelled, "EW! GROSS!"

Piper

A voice came from behind Piper. "There's my little boy."

Piper's breath caught in her throat as she turned around. Jason stood only a few feet away, almost close enough to touch. She opened her mouth to speak but found that she couldn't. She put a hand to her mouth in shock as her emotions bubbled. "J-Jason?" she said, her voice barely above a whisper.

Jason smiled. He was tanner and more beefy than when she saw him last – the scar above his lip looked like a chalk line. His hair was the color of fine silk on an ear of corn. "Hey, Pipes." He said softly.

That was when Piper began to cry. She hiccupped and sniffled, trying to hide those awful sounds she made whenever she cried. It was only seconds later that she heard footsteps and then felt Jason's strong arms wrap around her. Piper hugged him back the best she could with one arm – the other was holding Felix at her hip – as she buried her face into his strong chest. Jason ran a hand up and down her back soothingly, but that only made Piper cry harder. He was here – this was his touch, his warm embrace, his sweet disposition.

"I missed you, love." She heard him say softly as he kissed the top of her head.

"I missed you too, Superman." She said thickly. Piper pulled away briefly and wiped her eyes. "So much for wearing makeup," she chuckled through her tears.

Jason smiled. "You don't need it, anyway." He turned his face to Felix, who had simply been staring at him this whole time. His smile widened. "Hey, buddy." He said softly, holding out his arms. "I missed you. Wanna come to Daddy?"

Felix looked a little apprehensive, as if he vaguely knew who the person was but was still trying to fit the pieces together. Piper readjusted him on her hip. "That's Daddy. Do you remember Daddy?"

It took a few moments, but Jason was patient. He stood there, his arms outstretched with a gentle smile on his face. Felix reached out towards him and Jason scooped him up in his strong arms. He kissed the top of his son's head and smiled down at him. It was a father's smile, full of pride and joy. "You've gotten so big, little man!"

Felix reached up with his little arms and patted his dad on the cheeks, gurgling happily. Jason looked at Piper with tears in his eyes. Piper reached for both of them and embraced them. "Welcome home, Jason."

Calypso

Calypso was planning to be self-controlled, but that all changed when she saw him.

"LEO!" she screamed, pushing through the bustling crowd to get to him. Tears were streaming down her face, and she didn't even try to wipe them away. She saw Leo's blurred figure in the distance and ran to him. Leo opened his arms wide and she practically jumped into them. Leo stumbled backward a few steps but wrapped his arms around her slender form. Calypso wept into his shoulder as she breathed in his scent – oh, how she missed that scent!

"Well, someone's happy to see me!" Leo said teasingly. Calypso looked up at his sweet face and kissed him like she never had before. When it was over Leo looked like a fish out of water. "Looks like someone is very happy to see me…"

"I missed you," she croaked, her voice contorted with emotion. "I missed you so much, Leo…"

"I missed you too," he replied, kissing her again. Calypso took a few steps back to look at him. Leo was still a bit scrawny, but he had put on some muscle. His curly hair was a bit long and unruly. Other than that, he looked the same as he did when he left.

"What?" Leo asked, a bit of self-consciousness in his voice.

"Just admiring the view," Calypso said, smirking a little. She gave him another hug, dreading the moment when she had to let go.

Hazel

Hazel would have run to Frank, but she was holding a baby carrier on one arm. So she walked to him while Frank jogged to her. She set the carrier down and opened her arms wide. Hazel let out a small squeak of surprise when Frank picked her up and spun her around before gently setting her back down and kissing her. She smiled at him.

"You're acting like you haven't seen me for ten years," she said. "We only saw each other two months ago…"

Frank shrugged sheepishly. "Even that was too long." He said simply. He gave her a quick peck on the lips before looking down at the baby carrier. His smile widened. "Is she in there?" he asked.

Hazel nodded and bent down to the carrier. She unstrapped Emily from the seat and gently picked her up. She held her out to Frank with a smile. Frank looked at her. "Are you sure…?"

Hazel chuckled. "She's your daughter, Frank. You're her parent, too." Hazel instructed him on how to properly hold her before gently setting Emily in his strong arms. The babe stirred a little bit, but went on sleeping. Frank gazed down at her in wonder and awe, running the back of his finger across her cheek. Emily leaned into her father's touch, as if she knew who he was even while she was asleep. Frank smiled, bent down and kissed her softly on the forehead.

It was then that Hazel cried.

Thalia

Thalia was nervous. They said that her husband was in a rather "delicate state of mind," but that he should be fine when he got back home. A part of her wanted to run to him as soon as she saw him, but she forced herself to hold back.

"There he is!" Tyson shouted suddenly, pointing straight ahead. Nico stood there, holding his bag over his left shoulder. He had a bit of a vacant look in his eyes, but it disappeared as soon as he saw his family. Thalia held her breath. Was that really him standing there? The man that stood only a few yards away was a bit taller than Nico was, and his pale skin had taken on a small tan. He had put on some muscle, especially in his arms and back.

"Dad!" Maria sped towards Nico, her long black hair trailing behind her. Nico's face lit up entirely as he saw her running towards him, and he ran towards her, dropping his bag and embracing her. Maria hugged him tightly, sobbing as her father silently ran a hand through his daughter's hair.

Irene and Tyson followed their sister's lead, embracing their father. Nico's smile grew as he looked down at each of his children's faces. He hugged them each individually, saying how much he missed them. He looked up at Thalia, and his smile widened even more. He walked over to her, Maria, Irene and Tyson trailing behind him. He stopped right in front of Thalia, smiling gently as he tucked a strand of hair behind her ear. "Hey, babe." He said softly.

Thalia took his face in her hands – man, his skin was so soft – and kissed him. Her heart soared as he kissed her back, wrapping his arms around her waist. Thalia felt something wet on her cheeks and broke the kiss, looking at Nico in concern. Tears were running down his cheeks, and he sniffled. The sight made Thalia's heart ache.

"It's okay…" she said quietly, wiping the tears away with her thumbs. Nico's lips curved into a small smirk as he wiped something off of her own cheek. Thalia hadn't even realized she was crying along with him.

"I missed you so much," Nico whispered, leaning his forehead against hers. Thalia closed her eyes, smiling and crying at the same time. No words needed to be said – he knew how much she missed him, too.

"Welcome home, Neeks."

Five women left the airport that day with wet cheeks and full hearts. All was well.
