Here is chapter ten! Thank goodness we had a long weekend! And I know that you're all waiting for the boys' punishment, but I was writing this and kind of went off on a tangent. I swear, I am in the process of writing that long-awaited chapter and it will come out soon, but I felt that I needed to end this one where I did. I hope you enjoy it.

Disclaimer: I do not own Corpse Party.

"Let's go to Kishinuma's apartment!" Ayumi said cheerfully. She and Yoshiki had finished their meals while Naomi and Satoshi went into what they liked to call a "food coma": the sleepy feeling that takes over after eating a large amount of food. Naomi had her head on her boyfriend's shoulder, while Satoshi was slumped against the back of the booth, tawny head lolling on the bright red cushion.

"It's kind of messy," Yoshiki began, but he was silenced with a look from the petite brunette. "I mean, we can go there," he mumbled reluctantly.

"Perfect. Come on, guys!" Pigtails swishing, Ayumi led the way out of the restaurant, leaving Yoshiki to rouse his friends from their half-asleep state.

"Wake u-up, little Satoshi," he cooed, then clapped loudly in his friend's face. Satoshi jumped, his eyes flying open, jarring Naomi's head where it rested by his collarbone.

"What was that for?" the two exclaimed indignantly, almost in unison.

"Get up. Ayumi's probably halfway to my place by now!" Yoshiki commanded with a smirk. His friends did as he asked, groaning all the way out of the restaurant.

Noticing that she was shivering slightly in the chill December air, Satoshi slung his coat over Naomi's shoulders. She threw him a grateful look, tightening the army green cloth about her. Always thinking of me, that boy, she thought with a smile. I knew someone else like that, not so long ago… Chestnut brown eyes and a cat-like grin flashed before her. Such good times…

"Naomiiiii!" came a squeal from around the bend in the hallway. Naomi could hear the patter of running feet.

"Coming, Seiko!" Naomi called back breathlessly as her shoes slapped the white tiles of Kisaragi Academy. School had just let out for the long weekend, and she and Seiko had been planning how to spend the break for weeks.

As she rounded the bend, Naomi collided with a flash of reddish brown curls and bright eyes. The taller girl toppled backwards under the weight of the other, her rear smacking the floor painfully.

"Owww!" Naomi protested, though she was giggling. Seiko grinned down at her, her cheeks rosy. She was always so alive, so full of energy.

"Ahhh, I have captured the elusive Naomi-chan!" Seiko said in a low voice, mischief glowing in those warm amber eyes. "Now I may do with her as I please!"

"No – SEIKO!" Naomi shrieked as Seiko buried her face in Naomi's chest. The taller girl barely managed to fight her way free, scrambling to her feet. Seiko stood as well, brushing herself off and beaming at Naomi all the while.

"You know, sometime, you could not violate me for a change," Naomi complained, blushing fiercely.

"Ah, Naomi-chan, you complain, but we both know that you enjoy it!" Seiko giggled, her eyes shifting back down to Naomi's torso.

"Stop it!" Naomi crossed her arms over her chest, her cheeks bright red. "Can we go to the ice cream place now?"

"Uh-huh!" Seiko chirped sunnily. She looped her arm through Naomi's and skipped away, pulling her best friend with her.

Naomi shook off the memories and composed herself, chasing away the tears that had threatened at the corners of her eyes. Seiko… I'll never forget you, and there will be bad days… but I think I'm finally moving on.

Satoshi's voice interrupted her thoughts. "Naomi? You okay?" He was gazing concernedly at her. Yoshiki was ahead of them by a few feet, his hands in his pockets, watching Ayumi protectively where she walked farther along the sidewalk.

"Oh, yeah – I'm fine. Sorry," Naomi apologized. She knew that Satoshi had been worrying about her since the incident earlier that day.

"As long as you're alright, everything's fine," the brown-haired boy promised, slipping his arm around her and squeezing her shoulder gently. She found her head resting against his neck as they walked.

Nearby, unseen by the living, a silver figure stood in the moonlight. With a gentle feline smile and soft once-brown eyes, it watched the young lovers until they were swallowed up by the night.

Don't you just love Seiko? She should never have died :'( Anyway, this chapter was kind of bittersweet, but it made me smile. Reviews are always welcome!
