It seemed to take forever but to get there but when she arrived her heart was beating rapidly as she literally dashed out the car not caring how badly she parallel parked all that mattered to her was finding David.

Rose didn't have much time and began searching the crowded airport quickly brushing past people even jumping up down trying to spot him. "How hard can he be to spot," She groaned. "The man's six foot." Frustrated she started climbing on top of chairs not paying attention to those staring at her like she was a nut. "Where is he?" She muttered anxiously.

Meanwhile David sat glancing at his watch and tapping his plane tickets on his knee waiting for the speaker to announce his flight. He was still thinking about Rose. He couldn't help but wonder if it was possible to see the TARDIS from the plane. Finally he heard his flight was ready for departure; he sighed heavily and as he stood to leave he suddenly heard his name being called.

"David!"

It sounded like Rose.

"Rose?" He muttered confused. He wondered if he was losing his mind.

"David, wait!" David turned and saw her, running towards him; it was hard to believe. It had to be a dream. She wasn't supposed to be here but at the same nothing in the world could make him happier at that moment than to see her.

"Rose?" He smiled letting go of his suitcase and catching her in his arms. She wrapped her arms around his neck holding him tight. "Rose, what are-"

Before he could finish she pulled back and slapped his shoulder.

"Ow!" He scowled.

"That's for leaving without telling me," She scolded poking him in the chest with her finger. "And for thinking I could ever be happy with anyone but you and for thinking that I don't love you."

He winced rubbing his shoulder. "Okay, I get it you're ma-"

But his sentence was interrupted when Rose grabbed his lapels and pressed her lips gently and passionately against his, surprising him at first but he immediately embraced her tenderly kissing her back making her knees weak and almost melting into him.

After the kiss she gently pressed her forehead against his caressing the back of his neck. "I'd thought I'd lost you." Rose voice cracked a little.

He scoffed lightly. "I thought I'd lost you, too." "Can we talk?" Rose asked. "Sure." He smiled. They found two chairs to sit in and David took her hands into his.

"I'm sorry, I know I seem daft," Rose sniffed. "but why did you leave like that? Without a word or even a goodbye?"

He sighed. "When I saw you with the Doctor, I thought you were leaving. I-I thought-"

She gently stopped him placing her finger on his lips. "David, I wasn't leaving with the Doctor. I was saying goodbye to him." He glanced up at her. "Really?"

Rose gave a teary smile. "Yes," She tilted her head meeting his eyes. "You have my heart, don't you know that?"

David shrugged. "Not really, not the way you kept the Doctor being here a secret from me. I mean what was I supposed to think?" She nodded with regret. "I know, I should've told you. I'm so sorry."

"Why didn't you?" He asked. She shook her head. "I thought you would leave me," She lowered her gaze. "I should've known better. I was stupid, I guess." David tilted her chin so towards him. "Don't ever say that. You're brilliant."

Rose scoffed. "Yeah? Well, if I'm so brilliant then I would've told you the truth and I wouldn't have lost you." David shrugged briefly lowering his eyes. "Maybe you haven't."

She looked at him questionably. "What do you mean?" He smiled. "Would you like to know why I came by your house earlier?" Rose casually shrugged. "Well, I'll admit I am curious."

"I wanted to show you a new magic trick." He replied. Rose looked at him strangely. "Okay."

David smirked. "Let me show you." He went behind her ear moving his fingers a little before pulling out a red velvet ring box. Rose's eyes widen.

He then carefully opened the box revealing a diamond ring. She suppressed a gasp. She gazed up into his dark brown eyes; they were serious and romantic at the same time. Rose swallowed, could this be what she thought it was?

David exhaled. "Rose, I know I can't give you same the wonders he did. All I can do is share my life and give you my love so…would you marry me?"

She grinned. "Yes, definitely!" "Yeah?" He smiled hopeful. Rose gave a happy tearful smile and playfully rolled her eyes. "Yeah and a life in New Scotland with you sounds amazing." She kissed his cheek.

He smiled as she held out her hand and he slipped on the engagement ring. Rose gazed at it grinning. It was beautiful.

"You like it?" He asked. Rose smiled. "It's perfect." He smiled gently pressing his lips on her knuckles.

She caught a glimpse of his watch and winced. "Oh, I just made you miss your flight, didn't I?" David shrugged. "It's okay; I'll just book a later flight."

"So what now?" Rose asked smiling shyly.

He sighed. "Well, I think telling your family about us would be a good idea." Rose nodded. "Yeah, that would be best," She smiled looking at her ring, again. "Mum, is going to freak…in a good way, of course." She quickly added making him chuckle.

David then gave a dramatic sigh shaking his head.

"What?" She said.

He made a face. "I just realized Jackie Tyler as my mother-in-law…now that's scary." She playfully scoffed. "Oi'!"

He smirked kissing her lips then took her hand helping her from the chair, she hugged his arm as they left the airport together.

"Forever?" She whispered. "Forever." He replied softly kissing her forehead.
