Alrighty everyone, here it is! Please don't hate me for making you wait too long! And look out for the introduction of new characters! Disclaimer: I only own the storyline, barely.

Exactly 6 days since Christmas and their kiss and Bellamy was yet to ask Clarke out, and boy was it driving her mad. He was certainly possessive like a boyfriend, caring like a boyfriend and that kiss was the best one she'd ever had but she was close to snapping point. She was ready for him, to commit, to open herself up to someone. Not that she'd done that since Dax, but somehow Bellamy had wormed his way into her heart, and for her? There was no going back now. But this half boyfriend girlfriend thing they were doing was pushing her closer and closer to the edge and soon enough she would fall off. The only person that could stop this was him, but instead he was walking on eggshells around her. The last time she let the guy take control hadn't turned out too well and she was terrified to repeat history. To make matters worse Lincoln and Octavia had no problems showing each other how happy they were. Octavia had even muttered love to Clarke a few times and as happy as she was her growing frustration toward Bellamy made it nearly impossible to be around the happy couple. It seemed like most of her friends were in relationships and of course that wasn't all she wanted but seeing them all happy made her hyper-aware of the gaping hole in heart. With a sigh she shut her sketch book and walked back inside from the balcony thankful for her day off and wondering what the new-year would bring. Hopefully a certain person would man up but hey, if he didn't soon he was going to lose the chance.

Raven walked into their apartment not missing a beat as she slammed down her toolbox in frustration letting out a groan
"Don't break the table Reyes" Bellamy said with a smirk. Without so much as a word Raven charged him going to punch him in the face. Luckily Lincoln and Octavia walked in having just finished a shift at the beach; perfect timing I know, and Lincoln could stop her before she did something she would regret.
"Take your hands off me Linc, he's safe" She grumbled storming to her room, muttering something about an asshole. All eyes were on Clarke, all of them giving her a "What the hell what that about?" look.
"I don't know" She said rising from the couch, but she was sure as hell going to find out. From what she could tell Raven was happy. She and Finn were going strong celebrating yet another anniversary just last week, they hadn't kept their hands off of each other at Christmas. She'd even made a new friend in Kyle Wick who lived down the hall and coincidentally worked with her. Her career was at an all-time high, the mayor of Miami noticing her mechanical skills and asking her to become his new mechanic, she'd agreed enthusiastically once hearing the perks of the job. She had even come home last night boasting to Clarke that her all expenses paid dinner with the Mayor and how nice and kind he was. So what on earth could've put her in such a foul mood in the last day of the year?

Clarke gently knocked on Raven's door before walking in to see the girl throwing a photo frame on the ground, smashing it. Before collapsing on to her bed and screaming into a pillow. Clarke picked up the frame careful not to cut her hand on the glass and saw it was a picture of Raven and Finn on the beach, both smiling and looking completely in love. With that Clarke knew it must have been something to do with Finn and taking one look at Raven, she knew it wasn't the strong mechanics fault. It was the worm who'd weaselled his way into her heart only to break it. This made Clarke mad, like really, really mad. She walked over to her crying friend
"He said that she was 'upset' and 'needed comfort'" Raven wasn't exactly making sense but Clarke caught on
"Rae, I'm going to send Octavia in and she's going to use her extensive knowledge to pick out the perfect movie, you and her will create the perfect pillow castle because we both know forts are for amateurs and I, am going to go and get loads of Ben and Jerry's ice cream and when we're done laughing and crying and eating we'll talk about it, okay?" Clarke said rubbing small circles on the girls back, Raven had gone from bone crushingly mad to devastated so quickly that it worried Clarke. There had only been four times she'd seen Raven Reyes really cry like this and one of them was when her crack addict mother dropped her off at an orphanage when the mechanical prodigy was ten, Clarke had seen the girl reaching for her mother and screaming as she rode her bike past. Clarke's neighbours, the Reyes, had adopted her within weeks of her being at the orphanage and at first, the two girls despised each other. Until one day when they were both in their first class of the year and Raven was asked to introduce herself to the class and stumbled on her words. Clarke took it upon herself to yell "Tell them about how you fixed my motorbike" Clarke didn't own, nor had she rode a motorbike but she'd seen Raven fixing one in the backyard one day. Everyone was so interested in how a ten year old could fix a bike that Raven was almost instantly popular but chose to hang out with Clarke instead. They found they had a lot in common, include their swimming talents and often teamed up to stand up to the snobby brats that thought they owned the school. Clarke couldn't be more thankful that she'd met Raven, and now it was time for her to be strong and protect her again like she had on their first day of school.

"Is Raven okay?" Octavia asked clearly concerned for her friend. Clarke nodded
"Yeah, we're on breakup duty though, you know what to do" Octavia nodded and without a word picked out a movie and rushed into Raven's room. Bellamy rubbed her shoulders knowing she was tense "What do you mean 'breakup'?"
"it's a pretty universal term Lincoln" She said walking toward the door
"What happened?"
"I'm about to find out" She said slamming the door behind her. Nothing could calm her down as she ran up the stairs to Finn's apartment knocking so hard on the door she wondered if her fist would go through the door "Finn Collins you open this damn door now!" A middle aged man walked out of his apartment and glared at her but she refused to say sorry and he clearly wasn't going back inside until she did
"I think you should step back into your ridiculous apartment that is probably riddled with cocaine and naked prostitutes before I have you arrested for possession of illegal substances and before you ask how I knew, you're incredibly loud and we live right underneath you, as if we wouldn't hear you cheating on your wife three times a week. Now if you don't want a divorce and jail time in your foreseeable future I'd say you go back inside and try to be a little quieter" The man went inside without a word and the encounter did nothing to calm Clarke's anger. Finn opened the door looking solemn but Clarke wouldn't have any of it, hitting him square in the nose.
"Explain yourself right now" He looked confused so she elaborated "Explain why my friend is crying in her bedroom on the morning of new-years-eve heartbroken" He clenched his nose and held the door open.
"She was a girl from work, and I couldn't say no. I don't know what came over me Clarke. I never wanted to hurt Raven, I love her. But the woman from work was just coming out of a breakup and she said some things and honest I was just comforting her at first, that's all it was, comforting a friend but then she got touchy and I couldn't say no. It didn't mean anything I swear" Clarke shook with rage, and stood throwing one of his vases against the wall opposite him affectively shutting him up. Clarke had never intended to be violent and she'd never been this mad in her life. She always vowed that she wouldn't be a spiteful angry person and she swore she'd never be abusive but Finn had made her so angry. How dare he try to make an excuse for his betrayal?
"You're scum Finn. If you were really in love with Raven the thought of hurting her would physically bring you pain. Don't make excuses; just don't ever, ever talk to her again. You're lucky I didn't break your damn nose because you deserve so much worse. Stay away from Raven"
"Would not have thought someone who'd been in an abusive relationship would threaten to physically hurt anyone" He muttered and it took all her power not to turn around. Instead she walked back to her apartment slamming the door as she walked in
"What happened babe?" That was enough to push her over the edge
"What is with you guys?! I mean god is it really that hard to have a girl and treat her right? I mean you're keeping me at arms-length whilst still treating me like a fucking girlfriend, Finn cheats on Raven, I can't manage to have a new boyfriend because my old boyfriend is still fucking up my life without even being in it. Like HOW THE FUCK haven't all the girls in the world turned lesbian by now?!" By this point Lincoln had stood and Raven and Octavia had walked out of Raven's room to watch Clarke grill Bellamy
"Clarke…"
"no Bellamy. Seeing what Finn, the scum, did to Raven put things in perspective for me. I'm laying it on the table for you, nice and simple. I want to be with you, just you. God Bellamy I'm falling in love with you but I can't do this half assed. You need to decide whether you want to be with me or not. If you can't get over the fact that yes, I was once in an awful relationship and yes I have scars from it then I suggest you move on or stop treating me like fine fucking china that's going to break damn it! And look at that, I forgot the bloody ice-cream!" Clarke opened the door to see Monty, Jasper, Harper, Monroe and Maya with Jaspers hand up as if he was about to knock. She let them in and muttered "I'll be back soon, don't you even think of following me Bellamy Blake"

As soon as Clarke had fresh air in her lungs she regretted treating Bellamy the way she had and shook her head at her appalling behaviour, and even thought for a moment she could've handled the Finn situation better. She told herself that she would be different here in Miami but it seemed like her old self was pushing through, and the guilt was all consuming. She thanked god that she didn't do anything physical to Bellamy, really, the only thing he'd done was care too much.
"Come on Clarke, get it together" She said to herself trying to push the hurt from her, it was pushing on her heart knowing her friends had heard her talk in such a way.
"What have you gone and done this time sweetie?" She froze, the voice sending ice through her vanes and sticking her to the spot. It was like in a nightmare, when you were in the really scary part and no matter how hard you tried to wake up and scream you couldn't, only now, it was real, and she was in deep shit. He grabbed her roughly and threw her into the ally. Pulling her close enough for her to smell the alcohol on his breath "I told you Clarke, I'll always find you" He hit her, hard enough to send her into the brick wall and falling to the ground "You've gotten weak, you used to be able to take much more" Her vision started to get blurry but she could make out the face she was once in love with and his foot, quickly coming down on her face.

"I really should go after her" Bellamy said with a sigh. He'd wanted to take things further with her for a long time but she was so closed off that it was hard for him to know what she wanted, hell she'd been pretty clear.
"No Bellamy, she needs to cool off, she'll be back soon" Raven said "I personally think we should get started cooking lunch, give her one less thing to worry about so she'll be excited for the roof top party" Seeing Clarke like that was something Raven had rarely seen in their long friendship but she knew Clarke could never hold a grudge long and could tell Bellamy was distraught. Although he was hiding it very well he was worried about her, he shouldn't have tread thinly around her and he needed her to know that she was what he wanted. He could see a future with Clarke, one that didn't involve him being Octavia's keeper, one that didn't involve him having a different girl in his bed every night, one that involved him and his wife waking up to their little blonde princess jumping on their bed. But none of that could be accomplished if he didn't tell her how he felt. He threw his apple core in the bin and walked out to the balcony wishing they still had Kong. Bellamy took that moment to mentally note that he would need to adopt another chimpanzee soon. Or that very expensive enclosure would go to waste. Looking over the balcony calmed him until he saw it, Clarke getting shoved into a car by none other than Dax. Bellamy's feet couldn't move fast enough as he raced out of the apartment before anyone could even ask and to the police station down the road.
"I need someone to help me!" He screamed as he entered the station
"What is it son?" A man who looked to be a captain approached him and his words came out all at once
"My girlfriend, I just saw her in the ally, and her ex, he hit her and then knocked her unconscious, and now they're in his car and I don't want to lose her, please, you have to help me" The man asked him to sit down and Bellamy couldn't really do anything but comply.
"This is mandatory, but have you taken any drugs in the past 24 hours?" The shocked look on Bellamy's face must've said enough because the man continued talking "My names captain Kane if you haven't met me before and I'm going to help you get your girlfriend back, but you'll have step back and let me do my job"
"No, you don't understand, I need to help, please let me help, I have military training" He pleaded with the Captain, he couldn't just sit back and wait. After answering Kane's questions for what seemed like a lifetime the captain seemed to sense the young-mans desperation Kane jumped into action and with Bellamy's knowledge of the make and model of the car Bellamy and Kane and another team of cops were soon on their trail, Bellamy just hoped he could find her in time.

Clarke woke up with a groan and tried to touch her head where it hurt only to find her hands bound, as well as her feet "Shit" she muttered, trying to gather her surroundings, by the looks of it, it was just an old abandoned factory, no place for her to run and hide, just open space. Trying to make up a plan of escape she was doing her best to stay calm.
"There's nowhere to go baby. It's just you and me, and out there? Nothing but open space, no towns for miles" Dax smiled a sickeningly sweet smile and Clarke cringed unable to tell if he was lying or not. There was no way to tell, she was unconscious the whole way there so distance was something she couldn't factor in either. Basically she was screwed.
"Why did you leave me Clarke?" He said "We are meant to be together" He slapped her across the face and she felt tears sting her eyes
"If you really loved me you wouldn't hurt me" She whispered and he laughed "You have no idea how much I love you Clarke. But I can't let anyone else have you. If I can't have you, no one can" her heart started to race, the only way out of this was death and she knew it, whether it be her death or his. He struck her the face again, this time splitting her lip open
"You will never have me again Dax, I won't let you hurt me again and if that means dying then so be it"
"God Clarke, you don't get it. If you just did what I said then I wouldn't need to hurt you, my father always had a saying 'women should know there place, and there place, is by the side of their man, silently awaiting her orders, I'm your man Clarke" She scoffed "I never did like your father" She muttered. He punched her so hard her head spun
"You dare speak ill of the dead?!" He shook his head and she tried to keep herself from fainting "I expected better of you Clarke, I mean, what would your Mother say? She is, in fact, the one who told me where you were hiding" Clarke's heart stung at the betrayal, things had been rocky at best with her mother but she'd never expected her to do such a thing. She swore to herself she'd never forgive her mother, well that was if she got out of the alive.
"She had no idea what kind of man you are Dax, you're a coward who hides behind a swinging fist and calls it love. As long as I live I'll make sure you never hurt another person again. You scum" He tusked
"Is that really a way for a royal to talk, princess" Her veins ran cold at the nickname, the only person who'd ever called her that had been Bellamy. "oh yeah, I've been keeping an eye on you since that day at the beach, waiting for you to go out without your little follower drooling on your feet. It really is pathetic Clarke, how quickly you would jump into bed with someone else"
"I didn't jump into bed with anyone you sick fuck" Somewhere in Clarke's head she knew she was poking and prodding, making him more and more angry, but how dare he say such a thing. He got really close to her face, his breath hot on her cheek, his hand on her neck pulling her closer to him.
"Oh, so you're still mine. Come on Clarke, I always did fit so perfectly, or have you forgotten? Maybe I need to remind you" Out of the corner of her eye she could see the high window and beyond it? A sniper waiting for a reason to shoot. All she needed to do was give him a reason.
"Just kill me Dax. What are you waiting for?" He lifted the gun and pointed it right at her eye. She tried not to cry, but staring down the end of your life was a scary thing to do.
"You really think you call the shots here Clarke? Always the protector, well guess what? After I kill you, I'm going to kill your boyfriend and his sister, come to think of it, I'll kill all your friends, and Raven, I'll save her for last. I've got plans for that little spitfire" Somehow she found the strength to look him in the eye and say "Do it" then she heard a shot and felt pain. She couldn't see anything but black, and was sure, that this was the end.

"All units I'm heading east bound on fifth; we need a team of back up. Get me Miller and Murphy on the line" Kane said into the intercom as a new cop car raced behind them, Bellamy had to guess that was their back up and tried to calm himself
"Sir"
"Miller I need you and Murphy on top of the telecoms building, when you're their you'll see a warehouse, almost the entirety of the top of it is glass. Get a shot on a tall man, he'll have a hostage with him, the hostage goes on unharmed. As soon as it seems her life is in danger, shoot"
"Yes Sir"
"And Miller? Shoot to kill" As they neared the warehouse Bellamy couldn't help but think of how much time had passed since Dax had taken Clarke, and how long they'd been alone together. There was only one way he was bringing his girl home, and it wasn't in a body bag.
"Bellamy, son, we're nearly there, I need you to let me take the lead. Once the shot is made, the police officers go first, then you can come in, okay?" He didn't like it but he figured Kane was already break a tonne of rules even letting him leave the station. He heard a shot and saw the sniper on top of the roof, he prayed the shot had come from him and not Dax. Within minutes Bellamy was running into the room to see a lifeless Clarke
"CLARKE! Clarke, come on Clarke, open your eyes" Kane pulled him back "Don't hurt her!" He screamed at the paramedics "Let me go I have to go with her" He followed her into the ambulance van holding her hand, desperately seeking the pressure of her squeezing back. Only to feel nothing. He vaguely saw cameras and a helicopter and the lifeless body of Dax, a bullet in the back of his head but was only paying attention to Clarke. His Clarke.
"Please wake up baby please" He whispered to her, then he heard it, she was flat lining, and he was being pushed out of the way asked to sit, as he was shoved into a seat to watch them start compression on her chest.

Raven took a deep breath trying to calm herself, all the things running through her head weren't pretty. But there were few reasons Bellamy would run out frantically the way he had, and one of those was Clarke. Any idiot could tell her loved her. Everyone settled in the lounge without a word, Octavia frantically trying to get a hold of her brother.
"He's not answering his phone damn it"
"Why would he run out like that? It's not like Bellamy to leave without telling us where he's going" Octavia shook her head "He wouldn't. Something's up, I know" Suddenly the door flew open and Finn came rushing in. Raven took one look at his nose and smirked, Clarke had really clocked him good. Then she was angry, really angry
"What the fuck do you want"
"Just turn on channel 7, you're going to want to see this" She turned on the television to see the main news reporter
"In a terrifying story unfolding as we speak, a woman, aged in her early twenties, is allegedly being held in this abandoned warehouse against her will. These shocking images from out chopper in the sky show a man, standing over a woman who is tied to a chair. Just incoming the mystery man is believed to be Dax Hamilton, the current chief of police in a precinct inter-state. We've seemed to have lost image from our chopper, reporting to your from ground level is Heidi Ballinger, Heidi" A perky blonde popped up on the scream
"There was one gunshot heard before police stormed the building, Captain Marcus Kane leading the group, they have yet to emerge from the building but an ambulance has rushed into the warehouse. Are you getting this John? A woman has just been wheeled out of the warehouse, we can't get sight of the gunshot wound but she doesn't look to be breathing. There seems to be a man by her side, who is clearly distraught and albeit fighting off the paramedics. Oh no! She's stopped breathing and…" The screen went black before returning to the main news reporter
"It seems we've lost our coverage but we'll be providing details of this breaking story as we get them" Raven turned the TV off before launching the remote into the wall "Shit, fucking Dax" Suddenly Raven's phone rang
"Bellamy it's about fucking time"
"Come to Miami District Hospital, now" That was all she heard before he hung up on her.
"Guys, it doesn't sound good" Was all she said before they found themselves in a cab rushing toward their injured friend. Raven had never been one to pray, but she thought now wasn't a bad time to start.

Okeedokee Sorry for keeping everyone waiting so long and I'm sorry for the cliffhanger but there will be a new chapter up soon. So does Clarke live? Or die? Who knows? Please review and let me know what you think! xx
