Okay guys, ready for the finale? Following the video series as I have, all that's left is the final battle. Trust me, this will be stretched out as much as possible, considering we have EIGHT Dragons fighting our antagonist.

So, without further ado, here is the finale to Dawn of the Signers!

(Chapter Begin)

(Recap)

Another Elite Enemy appeared. The Final one. By lucky coincidence, or random chance, this one was vulnerable to fire, giving Leo an idea.

"Spyro, double team?"

"Sure!" replied the Purple Dragon.

"Scroll of Bewitchment! Salamandra!" declared Leo as his armor died red and a fire Dragon appeared around him.

Harnessing his full power, something that had been years since he had done, Spyro went full Meteor Strike on the Elite Enemy. Salamandra wrapped herself around him, increasing the power further. Not only knocking off the flame crest that protected him, but severely damaged him in the process, leaving him vulnerable to another Chaos combo of Luna and Cynder, finishing it off quickly.

"They are getting stronger, aren't they Yusei," said Jack quietly, watching from afar.

"Yeah," said Yusei, "Let's hope it makes the difference!"

The now group of eight gathered together and looked ahead, their final destination upon them.

(Recap End)

As they were getting closer to the temple, Spyro and Cynder decided it was time to dawn the armor that allowed them access to the Fury Breath naturally. They were going to need it against another Purple Dragon.

Unbeknownst to most of the group, Leo couldn't fully suppress a shiver down his mechanical spine. He nearly died going up against Malefor last year, and the Purple Dragon had most likely grew in power since then… but, then again, so did he. Leo knew he was stronger as well, and with his knowledge of his power, he was going to show Malefor why you don't count a Signer out for long. The only one who noticed, was his twin.

"You okay, bro?" asked Luna quietly.

"Part of me can't shake the feeling of what happened last time. It's nothing that's gonna hinder my ability to fight, but…"

"He hurt you… badly," said Luna, "You have no idea how scared I was for you."

"Part of me was scared of what he would do to you, if the others hadn't been there," replied Leo.

"We'll fight together this time. ALL of us," informed Luna.

Leo couldn't help but smile, despite his backup plan against Malefor.

The Eight Dragons approached the final door, the last one separating them from Malefor. Upon opening it, they noticed the room was quite large, indicating that it was a gathering hall in the past.

"Ah, my guests have arrived at last," said Malefor, "Please, come in. Such tenacity to get here; it only proves we have more in common than just our color."

"I am nothing like you!" asserted Spyro, in an effort to remind himself as much make the declaration to Malefor.

"You actually seem to believe that," smirked Malefor, "Well, we'll see about that soon enough. And let's not forget our other guests. Hmm, you seem well, after our last encounter, young Leo."

Leo glared, but couldn't bring himself to speak up; something Malefor noticed immediately.

"No response? How interesting," Malefor was gloating now, "Surely I didn't harm you TOO badly, did I? Oh wait…"

"You won't get away with destroying this world! We made sure of that!" informed Yusei.

"Oh, you think so? Take another look," said Malefor, as he opened up a viewing window, "You see, even though you managed to destroy the Destroyer, it did enough, and now the Ring of Fire will destroy ALL outside it's enclosed circle.

"Oh, and before I forget. Let me make things more comfortable for you, my dear Cynder," continued Malefor, taking off the magical binding on her and Spyro, "After all, it's the least I can do, since you freed me."

"You used her!" declared Spyro.

"I may have used her, but she in turned used you; so what does it matter anyways?"

"What does he mean by that?" asked Spyro, feeling genuine confusion.

"Oh, you mean you never told him? After all this time together. I thought I taught you better than to keep secrets."

"Cynder, what's going on?" asked Leo, stepping forward.

"Oh, very well, I'll say it: she lured Spyro to the Well of Souls, and used his Convexity to break my final seal, thus freeing me."

"You're lying," denied Cynder immediately, something Leo noticed.

"Very interesting. It seems we remembered that time quite differently."

"I can't believe I'm saying this…" grunted Leo, "But I can't detect a lie from him."

"Because not even I can lie against the Mole's technology, which has no doubt advanced in the past several centuries. It was Spyro who freed me, and Spyro who brought me back. And it was all thanks to Cynder, my loyal pawn."

"Cynder, is this really true?" asked Spyro.

"NO! I… I don't know… I don't know anymore…" stuttered Cynder, realizing she couldn't fully deny it either.

"Oh, I think you can remember. Let me give your memory a little… PUSH!" said Malefor, using her hesitation to once against fill her with his power.

Cynder, feeling overwhelmed by Malefor's power, once again turned black as night, with glowing white eyes.

"NO!" shouted Spyro, echoed by the others, "CYNDER!"

"I'm surprised Ignitus didn't warn you," chuckled Malefor, "Then again, I didn't really give you time to be alone, did I? The truth is Spyro; you are alone here. You have always been alone. But, I must respect your attempt to save this miserable world…"

Cynder used Spyro's distractedness against him, knocking him back. Malefor turned a small portion of his power to put a force field up to block the Signers… except for Leo who moved before the others could reaction.

"…refusing to accept the true role of the Purple Dragon."

Spyro groaned as he tried get up. Leo made his way over to him, despite Spyro putting up no attempt to defend himself.

"I'm sure Ignitus and the others informed you than I was the first of our kind… but I assure you, as someone who was taught in the ancient ways long lost to time, I am not. It has always been the duty of our Ancestors the Purple Dragons of Convexity, to resurrect the Destroyer and the Golems of the Deep each cycle and destroy the world and cleanse it. This is the true nature of our kind…"

Cynder knocked Spyro back again, just as Leo got there, and stood between Cynder and Spyro.

"This is your destiny, as it was mine!"

"I don't believe you. I refuse to believe that!" declared Spyro, trying to get up again.

"Of course you refuse to believe it. But nevertheless, you have fulfilled it! When my turn came, they managed to stop me. Prevented me from completing my quest; however, thanks to you, we can pick up where we left off. Whether it was your choice or not, this world will still be destroyed, and you along with it!"

"No…" trembled Spyro, with Cynder approaching them.

"Move, Mech Dragon. I will fight the Purple Dragon," demanded Cynder, before leaping forward to strike.

"I… don't…" declared Leo, catching Cynder in her leap with his left hand, and knocking her away his shovel right, "think… so…!"

"Leo, no!" said Spyro.

"Sorry, Spyro," said Leo, getting ready to fight, "I didn't come this far to be sucker punched by Malefor again. And I certainly don't like my friends getting hurt when I can stop it!" he turned his focus back to Cynder, "Let's dance, Cynder!"

"If you insist!" cried out Cynder, lunging at him once more.

Leo used his jets to avoid the charge, only for Cynder to turn around and let loose a Convexity Blast, knocking Leo back a bit.

'Right, Convexity armor,' thought Leo, as he regained his bearings and blocked Cynder's next claw strike with his shovel hand, before ramming into Cynder, forcing her back.

Cynder blasted more Convexity at Leo, forcing him to dodge out of the way. Cloaking herself in Convexity as she rose into the sky, she full body slammed into Leo, who could barely put up a defense in time, landing roughly on the ground.

"Why isn't he using his equips?" asked Jack, "That would make it so much easier."

"It wouldn't be right," spoke up Luna, when everyone was expecting Yusei to say something, "Leo likes to fight fair if he can help it. It's part of why he loses at school sometimes. Sure, he can call upon any equip he chooses, and I don't think there's a limit to how many equips at a time either. But Cynder is still our friend, and Leo knows that."

"He won't overdo it against her, but isn't going to let her harm Spyro either," added Akiza.

"I just hope he'll be okay," said Crow.

"He will be," said Yusei, "He's stronger than we give him credit for."

After Leo managed to force Cynder off him, they continued to trade blows with Spyro watching helplessly until Leo finally managed to deliver a strong blow to Cynder, knocking her into the wall. Leo was closing in again when Spyro got between them.

"Leo, don't!" pleaded Spyro, "This is not the way."

With his back to her, Cynder took that opportunity to strike Spyro down again. Spyro used his wings as a defense, but Cynder kept attacking. Leo wanted to interfere again, but realized it wouldn't bring Cynder back. He had to trust Spyro.

"Fight back!" demanded Cynder, upon getting no response after a few tries, she got angry, "WHY WON'T YOU FIGHT BACK!?"

Spyro gave her a sad look, "Because you've left me with nothing to fight for," he said, getting her attention.

Cynder stopped, feeling the full effect of Spyro's words. She realized how deeply he must care for her to allow her to do this without retaliation. Using her newfound willpower, forcibly ejected Malefor's power and influence from her body, returning her to her purple state.

"There is always something to fight for," reassured Cynder, 'or rather, someone.'

"So, that is your choice, is it Cynder?" said a disgusted Malefor, "Then so be it!"

Malefor then reattached the magical binding on Spyro and Cynder, but they had learned by now how to use it to their advantage.

"I think it's time we chose to END YOU!" declared Leo, as he turned to fight Malefor.

However, Malefor simply caught his shovel with one of his fore-claws and tossed him aside, causing Leo to crash into another wall. Malefor then took to the sky as he lowered the shield around the others. All eight Dragons went after him.

"It's time to end this!" said Yusei.

There may have been eight of them, but Malefor wasn't a Purple Dragon of Convexity for a reason. He was able to keep all eight of them at bay, even with Leo's equips. Leo couldn't help but wonder how soon he should start his plan B. Cynder and Spyro were blasting out Convexity as well, but it wasn't enough to hurt him.

'Okay, it's time for plan B,' thought Leo, as the latest hits from Malefor was breaking through the equips, sending them back to be recharged.

Leo used his boosters to gain some distance as the others were sent back by a pulse of energy.

"Darn it! There has to be a way to get this guy!" said Jack.

"I don't know. Even Assault Mode wasn't lasting long against him," admitted Yusei.

"I'll do it," said Leo, getting in front of them, "I'll hold him off. You guys need to power up. I can handle it."

"Leo, are you sure?" asked Luna.

"You have my word, sis," replied Leo, looking at her with a determined look, before turning back, "here we… GO!"

With a burst of power from his thrusters, Leo rammed into Malefor, knocking him back. Spyro and Cynder were very confused when they felt something settle around their neck.

"What is this?" asked Spyro.

"It's 'Pain to Power,'" informed Luna, "But how did Leo get TWO of them?"

They turned to see Leo fighting Malefor fiercely, instantly calling upon equip after equip the moment the previous one broke. All the while, Spyro and Cynder could feel their power growing with every hit, every broken equip from Leo granted them more and more strength. Leo kept his focus despite the hard strikes from Malefor, and kept returning the favor with the next equip, even if said equip wasn't a proper equip.

"I think Leo's figured out a way to give us an equal chance," said Jack, "Yusei, we need to be ready. We've got to take it to the next level!"

Yusei looked at Jack, and saw the fire in his eyes, he cleared his mind for the same reason, they were going to evolve further.

Leo never felt pain like this before, not even when he died against Aporia. Even so, he kept pushing through the pain, pure adrenaline keeping him from slowing down in this fight. Malefor was getting angrier himself, but he remained in control. Overstraining his equip calling was draining his power as time went on, but he had to go through his entire Equip list no matter what. Anything less, and it might not be enough against this monster.

After what seemed like forever, but were only long, agonizing minutes, he finally felt like his equips were running out. Down to his last two, he had to do this right, otherwise it would be for not.

'Hope this works,' said Leo, feeling the rest of his strength drained, "ROCKET PILDER!"

Using the engines from the rocket, he plowed through Malefor before exploding in his face, the Rocket's effect keeping him alive. With the last bit of focus he called out for his last equip, right before Malefor unleashed a fury that tore right through him.

"LEO!" screamed Luna, feeling Leo's life force fade. She tried to fly over, but Akiza held her back.

"Luna, please!" urged Akiza, "I know. I know it hurts, but endure it. Turn that Pain into your own power and we will get Malefor for this!"

"Well, we gotta make our move soon, otherwise he'll regain his power," spoke up Crow.

"Oh, our time is just about here..." said Jack, a circles of flames surrounding him, "BURNING SOUL! RED NOVA DRAGON!"

"CLEAR MIND!" added Yusei, clear serene light surrounding him, "SHOOTING STAR DRAGON!"

With the five remaining Signer Dragons powering up, Spyro and Cynder felt their strength, which had already grown exponentially, triple on top of it all.

"Spyro, Cynder," said Yusei, "that power you have won't last forever. We strike now, hard and fast!"

The seven Dragons moved as one, faster, stronger, and more intense than before, Malefor was going down!

Leo floated below Malefor, falling slowly. With his fading Vision, he could see Malefor turn his attention away as his Fury time ran low, several breath attacks knocking him back. Crashing through one floating rock and landing in another below it, his eyes faded, losing consciousness.

Upon opening his eyes, he saw flames; ethereal, sentient flames.

"Crimson... Dragon...?" groaned Leo, still reeling from the pain.

"Leo... I must apologize to you," said the Crimson Dragon, floating before Leo, who was in his human form, "I had wished to spare you from the burden of the Signers, but you had proven yourself to have the biggest heart of them all. That is why I gave you the sign of my heart. Time is running out, and Malefor's plan to destroy the world is nearly complete. Return, young one. You hold the key to his defeat!"

Leo was in shock, him, having the biggest heart? He felt warm, from the inside. He could hear his own heart beating... or was it the Crimson Dragon's heart, which pulsed on his arm.

"Crimson Dragon, I want to thank you," said Leo after about a minute of finding his words, "If not for you, and the other signers, I wouldn't be who I am today. This pain was worth it, because I found a reason worth going to the ends and beyond for. I am a Signer, and I won't let you down!"

"I know you won't. And when you need me, I will be there!"

The Crimson Dragon glowed brightly, overtaking Leo's vision.

Leo opened his eyes and looked up, to see his friends fighting seven Malefors all at once. Chaos could only begin to describe the battle at hand... claw. Focusing inside of him, he felt that same heartbeat and knew what he had to do. Activating his now restored boosters he flew up and tackled one of the Malefors away from Spyro and Cynder, blazing in fire all the while.

"LEO!" shouted Spyro and Cynder.

"LEO!" added Luna, glad that his brother was safe.

"What's he doing?" asked Crow.

"I think that's..." started Yusei.

Leo's fire exploded outwards, taking the shape of a familiar Dragon.

"Is that the..." gasped Akiza.

"Majestic Dragon?" added Luna.

Indeed the Majestic Dragon surrounded Leo, the star within pulsating like a heartbeat and Leo himself at the core.

"MAJESTIC DRAGON! REVERSE TIME AND RESTORE MY TRUE FORM!" called out Leo, his armor breaking off to reveal natural Dragon skin beneath.

Malefor was taken back. This power, this Dragon that had appeared, it was...

"LIFE STREAM DRAGON!" roared Leo with all his might as the flames dissipated, "TAKE THIS!"

Leo let loose his natural breath attack, knocking the Malefor he tackled earlier for a loop. Flexing his hands into fists and stretching his wings, he gave out a war cry as he flew towards the others, all of whom were intermixed with six remaining Malefors.

"SCATTER!" cried out Yusei, as the others scrambled to separate from their individual Malefor as Leo crashed into one, using the momentum to hit another. Without slowing down, he grabbed the one he crashed into and threw it into two others. Turning to the remaining two, he unleashed another Breath attack, engulfing both of them.

Malefor managed to regain his composure and brought forth his four remaining copies.

"Hmm, I see," said Malefor, "You have indeed gain a great deal of strength; however, MY FURY KNOWS NO BOUNDS!"

All five remaining Malefors entered into Fury Mode, prompting Spyro and Cinder to also enter Fury Mode.

Leo simply smirked, "You just don't get it, do you Malefor?"

Leo began to glow orange, his power radiating and healing the others who had been tiring from the long battle, "I am the Life Stream Dragon, and I restore the power of my comrades. You still think you can take all EIGHT of us on?"

Malefor glared as his Fury Power blazed about him, stronger than before, "I WILL END YOU, ONCE AND FOR ALL!"

All five Malefors unleashed a Fury Breath like never before. The Six Signers, and two Purple Dragons countered with their Breath as well. The thirteen Breaths collided in the middle and the explosion engulfed all of them.

Seconds later the smoke cleared and only one Malefor was left, but the Signers and Purple Dragons had taken a huge hit as well, and they were panting, scraped, and Yusei and Jack had revered back to their original form.

"(Cough) I must commend you, Life Dragon," groaned Malefor, having received major damage himself, "You are quite, (cough), the Dragon."

"You're no pansy either, Malefor," said Leo.

It was then they noticed their change in location. After all nine of them took that combined Breath Bomb, they fell into the Volcano and barely prevented themselves from crashing into the ground below.

"Leo," said Spyro, "thank you. All of you, but Cynder and I must finish this."

"He's right. We're Purple Dragons, and it's up to us to stop him."

"You can try," said Malefor, before releasing one final breath.

Spyro and Cynder were quick to respond, and the breaths clashed in a "Y" formation. The other Signers didn't dare add their breath in, lest another Breath Bomb went off, killing all of them. Spyro and Cynder focused everything they had into one final push, and managed to blast Malefor back on a purple Crystal.

Malefor barely managed to get to his feet, panting heavily from long, arduous battle. "You're too late. I've accomplished my mission, and this world will end."

Leo, Spyro, and Cynder landed in front of Malefor, but they had no words to prove him wrong. However, fate had other plans as Five Phantom Purple Dragons rose up around Malefor and, latching onto him, dragged him into the crystal, sealing him for good, his life ending. Spyro looked to where Malefor disappeared and, looking deeper into the Crystal, realized what needed to be done.

"Guys, I think I can stop the world from ending," he stated, looking at all of the Dragons before him, "I think I'm meant to."

"Well, don't let us stop you," said Qrow, as a quake ran through the area.

"I'll be right here, beside you Spyro," promised Cynder, as Spyro glowed purple, as did the crystal, before whispering "I love you."

A bright purple flash enveloped their vision, as the world around them reversed its destruction to before the Destroyer began his path, and the world was saved, thanks to Spyro.

(Scene Change)

Leo opened his eyes and saw that he was back in his and Luna's shared Tops Home. Looking around, he saw the others out cold, except for Luna who was waking up as well.

"Leo?" asked Luna, wincing a bit.

"I'm here, Luna," replied Leo.

"Did that just... happen?" asked Luna.

"I... think so," guessed Leo, before noticing something that was there before: two cards were on the table between the Twins.

The Twins picked up one of the cards each and noticed something special about the cards. They were of Spyro and Cynder, held by Leo and Luna respectively.

"Sure!"

The twins went off to find a table while their fellow Signers rested, peace had been restored and new adventures await, but that is for another time.
