Korra had been living with us for about a month and I have to say it's been the best month of my life. The best part was that there were going to be many more. Sleeping with her was the best, holding her in my arms, I'd been sleeping better then I have in three hundred years. Korra got on great with Asami and Bolin, it was like she had been with us for years. I knew they would.

Things were going great, I had finally found a job working in a small cafe down the street as a cook, only a few blocks from where Korra worked. So after every shift I would go pick her up and we would take the long way home, just so we could have some alone time. When we went to bed we would stay wake for a while and tell each other more about our lives since we were turned. It turned out she hadn't always been alone. A few days after she was turned Korra met a group of vampires who taught her everything she knows about hunting and how to use her bending.

On top of that our connection was getting stronger. We could tell when one was hiding something from the other and we could tell what the other was feeling. We had to wear these leather bands Asami got us to hid the scars when we went out in public. She said because the scars were so big they would make people start asking question and we didn't need that. The bands were brown and had little metal tags with M+K FOREVER on them. We both hated having to wear them and cover the scars all the time, in my opinion is was like taking your wedding ring off when you go on vacation you just don't do it, but she was right about not needing the attention.

Tanho and his hive members were found about four days after they tried to kill us all. The police decided it was a gang fight gone wrong or something. They couldn't find any other leads or evidence to suggest otherwise so the case was closed. They're just waiting for someone to come and claim the bodies. Tanho will be waiting for a long time. We've had no trouble from anyone else in his hive, Korra said he had turned most of his members by force, she guessed once they found out he was gone they went their separate ways.

I came home from work one day and found Korra asleep on the couch (she had had the day off). I went over to her and kissed her forehead. She looked so peaceful. The door opened behind me and I looked to see Bolin and Asami come in.

"Hey guys, good day?" I asked in a whisper.

"Yeah, she asleep?" Bolin asked.

"Out like a light" I told them as I stroked her hair.

"She looks so sweet...Bolin get the whipped cream and the feather" Asami said.

"Wait what?" I asked, shocked.

"We've been meaning to do this for ages, but we never got in when she was a sleep. Let's think of it as an initiation in to the family." Bolin said as he shock the can and got ready to spray some on her hand that was hanging off the side of the couch.

"Guys I would like to keep her around you know." I said trying to push him away.

"Oh come on you've already done the mate thing she can't really go any where can she?" Asami pointed out.

I signed and moved away from the couch, letting them do what they want. Bolin sprayed the cream on her hand and Asami waved the feather in front of her nose. After a few seconds Korra moaned and smacked Bolin with her whipped cream filled hand. she then whipped the remaining cream on Asami's face.

"I lived with Skoochy for six months, you don't think he already tried that on me." Korra said as she rolled over so she had he back to us.

I looked at Bolin and Asami trying to hid my laughter. Maybe I should have told them she woke up when they were putting the cream on her hand. But where was the fun in that?

"You know I think she's basically already part of the family, so let's just forget about it and get cleaned up" Asami mumbled as she rushed in to the bathroom to try and salvage her makeup.

"I would just like to state for the record that this was all her idea, so don't kill me" Bolin said as he ran into the bathroom.

I laughed and went over to lie on the couch with her. I wrapped my arms around her and pulled her close. Korra signed happily.

"You're awesome" I whispered a I kissed her hair.

"I know what I am" She yawned before falling a sleep again.

I just sat there and held her close. I'll admit Korra was hotheaded, crazy, a little infuriating but at the same time she was pretty amazing. She was the most loyal, brave and selfless person I'd ever known and now I can't imagine my life without her in it. The hardest thing about being a vampire is how long you have to live. You see people come and go so much that you learn to not get too attached. But now I didn't mind living for eternity, just as long as I had Korra with me.

Author's note: And so ends Fire Eternal, this story has been so much fun to write. I'm going to take a break from writing for a while now to focus on my exams and when they're over and done with I'm going to start work on the sequel. I would just like to say thanks to everyone who reviewed, followed and added to their favorites. Thank you all so much. Keep an eye out for the sequel. Love you guys.
