Six: Six here, welcome back. Four has been lock away so he won't be able interrupt us today.

Four: But I'm right here. And I have this neat cast from the doctor.

Six: How are you here?! I locked the door, chained it, and seal it off.

Four: Five.

Six: ... I just don't know anymore.

Four: Yeah. On to the reviews.

Teleri Sina Atari: I wanted to do something different, so thanks. A batarian invasion is unlikely to happen, but someone attacking may or may not happen, still thinking it over.

haywireseagull: What happened to the spartans will be answered later. I will reveal them soon, but it won't be much. About the human A.I thing, it will also be revealed.

ultimate idiot: More or less.

jeremy hollis: You are correct on all accounts. Looking at chapter 4, that is what I did.

danialzkz: You are incorrect. The only reason humanity won the war in halo, was because of the civil war. If it didn't happen, humanity would have died. What reason are you talking about?

Guest1: That is actually second generation spartans on board the Spirit of Fire. The first generation was just somewhat better than normal troops.

How many halos you talking about? If every halo was activated, at once, the galaxy would die in likely a few days. Probably. One, only themselves, likely.

Guest2: Yes, yes she is.

pt1oef: I think you have the wrong story. Starcraft is not a part of this story, halo is.

Guest3: I am so sorry about that. I know it is for many people. For me, I don't have a problem. But I know my writing style can be hard for people. I am working on it, but it may take some time.

As for the 'why's' and 'how's'. If you can tell me what you mean, I can hopefully explain it to you.

Greatazuredragon: Thank you.

Sajuuk: I think I messaged you about this, but I'm not sure.

Yes.

Check the codex for chapter 5.

Clones die of health problems within a few years. They don't live long.

Can't answer.

Yes.

And thanks. Hoped that helped.

Blackstriker94: Thanks.

Okay people, that answers the questions for today. I would like to point out one thing, Liara is still on Sovereign. Why is no one worried about her? On to the story.

ONI PRO-49776

Captain Lucius R. Jiron was sitting in his command chair like he has for the past week. He was an older gentlemen with gray hair and brown eyes. His hair was combed back, and he had a bored expression. His ship was around the side of the citadel, away from the defense fleet, under its cloaking field. They were spying on the council and everything that was happening at the citadel. They were one of three that did so.

They started spying on all the races about 5 years ago, after everything calmed down back home.

There were several locations that ONI was spying at, but given that they had so few ships, there wasn't many. They had enough supplies to last them until they switched.

What was happening now was the same as its always been. People talking about the latest pirate attack, the council doing whatever, and aliens going about their day. There wasn't much for his crew to do other than monitor everything, and report back anything of note. They had orders of what they could and could not do. Hacking into anything that might reveal them was a no go. That meant that they couldn't touch the council, plus a few others at the citadel. But everyone else was free game so long as they didn't get caught. However, only c-sec was really worth hacking into, and they already planted a backdoor into their systems years ago.

"Captain, we have a situation." The senor office spoke up. "A geth fleet has just jumped in, and are engaging the citadel defense fleet."

That was odd. Lucius thought for a moment about what he knew about the geth. They were a synthetic race created by the quarians some time ago. Since the war centuries ago between them, the geth have never left their home, or made any kind of contact to anyone. They have never show to be hostile to anyone before.

So why were they attacking the citadel?

It was by far the strangest thing that has ever happened while he has been here.

Didn't matter tho, it had to be reported. What became of it, only time would tell.

Location Unknown

A young quarian slowly and weakly sits up in her bed. Her eyes were unfocused and her mind a haze. Everything was a blur, and the room was spinning ever so slightly. It takes a few minutes for her eyes to focus and her mind to clear. As she takes stock of the room she's in, she takes notice of several facts. In front of her and to her right is glass walls, and to her left is a plain white metal wall. She also had several wires coming out of her suit and going into the wall to her left. Three from her left arm, and two from her chest. The glass wall in front of her had a sealed door in the middle.

On the other side of the glass walls she take note of the four salarians working on varies equipment, and one staring at her, never blinking. They were all waring similar white armor with orange lines on several places. "What going on?" Her voice soft. She didn't remember coming here, or any of these people.

The salarian staring at her blinked, before speaking "You don't remember the attack?" His head tilted to the side in confusion. "What do you remember?" His face taking a harden look.

The quarian looks at him strangely before recounting what she remembers while staring at her hands in her lap. "I remember leaving the Migrant Fleet and starting my pilgrimage with a few friends of mine. Shortly after leaving we detected geth outside the veil. We managed to get a memory core from one, with a recording of two people talking about the attack on Anarv and something about the coming of the reapers, and something about a conduit."

"What are these reapers?"

The quarian shook her head "I only know of what I got from the memory core, and all I got was that the reapers were a hyper advanced machine race that existed 50,000 years ago and hunted the Protheans to extinction."

"That is a very bold clam. Do you have proof?"

"Of course I do." She reaches for her omni tool "I have it in... in..." She begins patting down her suit "My omni tool, where is my omni tool. I had it when...when..." She takes note of three patches on her suit over her stomach. Her eyes dilate, and everything that happened to her returns in a flash. She remembers the deal with the shadow broker, the attack, and Saren. She immediately reaches for the three patches. They were right where she was shot.

"Ah, seems you have remembered. That makes things easier." The salarian nods his head.

"How am I alive?" She says weakly.

The salarian nods again before speaking "Ah yes, the gun shots. You are very lucky." The quarian looks straight at the salarian. "If he had fired at anything vital, you wouldn't be here. Even after we brought you here, it was touch and go for a few days. I didn't think you'd live. Given the placement of the shots, he likely wanted you to suffer. For what reason, I'm not really sure."

"Yea... lucky." The quarian says weakly while looking at her stomach.

"Now, why don't you..." The lights flickered for a moment.

"Sir, the citadel under attack." A second salarian came up and spoke to the first salarian.

The first salarian's eyes widen in surprise and shock. "Who's attacking."

"It's the geth sir. They somehow got pass the defenses and not only are attacking the defense fleet, but have forces on the citadel."

"WHAT?! The geth are here?" The two salarians looked at the quarian.

The first quarian replied "Yes, it would seem so." He turned to the other salarian and said "Get the others ready, we need to help as best we can."

As the salarian saluted and walked over to the others to prepare, the quarian spoke up again "What about me? I can help." She asked with slight worry, she didn't want to be left alone, the geth might find her. She also wanted to help get revenge for her people.

The salarian taps his chin a few times while taking an assault rifle and a pistol from a gun rack. "It would be best if you found somewhere safe, but if you wish to help, I won't stop you. The door is unlocked." Not even looking up while checking over his equipment.

The quarian nodded her thanks, even though he wasn't looking at her. She swung her legs over the side of the bed, and got up. She winced in slight pain, while covering her stomach with one hand. The pain from the wounds stilled lingered. She shocked it off, before going over to the door and opening it up. The five salarians were by the only other door in the room, muttering to themselves.

Immediately to her left on a short table, she saw her shotgun. She grabbed it while putting it on her back. There was also an omni tool on the table. No doubt provided by the salarians. She grabbed that as well. After slipping it on, she turning it on, she didn't like it. It was completely different from what she was used to. She started changing the settings around to the way she liked them. "What is your choice?"

She looked up in slight surprise to see him so close. He was right in front of her. She didn't even hear him move. "The geth drove my people from our homes centuries ago. I will not let them ruin the lives of anymore people. I will fight." She said with absolute determination. Her eyes seemed to glow just a little bit brighter.

"Alright then, let's move. I will also ask for your name for ease of communication."

The quarian lightly blushed, forgetting all about proper instructions. "My name is Tali'Zorah nar Rayya."

"Good. I am Nemik Iji, and my comrades are Totarf Vaeji, Corbarp Heji, Otol Miu, and Lerlow Izen." Pointing at each one in turn, while Tali did her best to remember each name and who they belonged to.

"Right." She followed them out the door and down the hallway. As she was following them, one of them, Heji if she remembered correctly, typed something quickly on his omni tool before putting it away. She didn't think much of it, until the room she just came from exploded, causing her to turn around and look. "Wha."

"Don't think much over it." Nemik said while grabbing her shoulder and turning her around to face him. "Standard procedure." Before releasing her and walking around the corner right behind him.

Tali didn't understand them, and she probably never will.

She took but a few moments thinking everything over before following after them. She had a job to do.

Elsewhere

Wrex was having a pretty good day. He was having a good time at the local bar drinking and planning what he was going to do next. What he normally did every so often.

It was pretty normally, until he heard gun fire and explosions. That wasn't something he expected to hear while he was having a drink on the Citadel. Still, it was something, so he decided to check it out. Imagine his surprise when he sees geth of all things killing people right when he leaves the bar.

That was where he was now. Staring at the geth, before he pulled out his shotgun and said "I've never killed geth before. Let's see how they do." Before yelling at the geth while running at them and summoning a biotic barrier around himself.

The first geth fired several times and nearly broke through his shields before being crushed against the wall. Not even a second passed before he turned and jammed his gun into the head of the geth next to him, and pulled the trigger. The head was blow clean off. He immediately went behind some crates as the other four geth in the area started firing at him, while they also took cover.

"They're decent, I'll give'em that." Taking a quick peak to see where each geth was, Wrex thought up how he was going to take them out.

One was directly in front of him, two to his left, and one to the right. He grabbed a grenade and threw it near the two on his left while at the same time using lift on them. He quickly moved closer to the right, using cover so his shields weren't taken out on the way. The singularity exploded, sending geth parts everywhere. Right afterwards, he was upon the geth, destroying it in seconds.

The last geth took shots at him, forcing him into cover with his low shields. But he didn't stay for more than a couple of seconds, before rushing out the other side while firing and forcing the geth into cover. He was on it in moments, and with a few shots, ended it.

Wrex took a quick look around to make sure he got them all. As he did, he saw a group of salarians some distance away... with a quarian. That's not something you see every day. They were in cover firing at something he couldn't see, probably geth. A fight was a fight thou, so he headed over. It took only a few moments to see what the salarians were fighting. It was mostly the same geth as before, but there were more of them, about 20, and there were some bigger red ones. One geth had a rocket launcher and there was one walker in the back. He got into cover.

He threw his last two grenades at a cluster of three geth, before firing at another while a salarian fired at it as well. It died before it could get back into cover. However, Wrex had to quickly duck back into cover as a rocket hit his cover, nearly destroying it. He moved to some other crates nearby.

A few of the geth were close by, but Wrex couldn't get close without taking some hits, so he used lift on them then shooting them dead as they floated in the air helplessly. There were ten left at this point, excluding the walker in the back, which nearly killed one of the salarians. Wrex couldn't see him, but he seemed to take a bad hit. He could see a bloody leg four feet away. Definitely a bad hit.

He rolled to the left as a big red geth rammed through his cover. He grinned. The geth raised its gun and fired off several shots that destroyed half of Wrex shields, forcing him to move. Grinning at the challenge, Wrex threw a warp while returning fire. He kept moving and using the cover to block the geth shots as best he could, while the geth didn't really move much other than aiming its shots. The shots were powerful and accurate. Wrex used biotic barrier to supplement his shields as they wouldn't last on their own. He also noticed two of the salarians firing at the same geth he was.

Taking cover behind some crates for a moment, Wrex threw another warp at it, causing its shields to collapse before putting several rounds into its head. Right before it died it fired a grenade/missile at Wrex. Only problem was that it was only a few feet from him, giving him no time to dodge, and his shields were low. It hit him in the lower abdomen area, knocking him back a few feet, and into the line of fire of three waiting geth. "Clever bastard." He didn't think much of it before, but the geth always kept itself between him, and the salarians.

They saw him as a bigger threat than the others, and planned to end him. Not surprising. All they have to do was keep a few geth hidden as they moved closer while the big red one kept his attention. Then they waited for the right moment.

They played him.

He threw up a biotic barrier while jumping into the nearest cover. Even with his fast reaction, the geth still landed a few hits on him before he got up his barrier. There was no doubt some damage to his suit, but he would have to check on it later, the geth were still there. Once his shields were up, he popped out of cover while using lift, catching two of them. The third was only a foot away and getting ready to fire. Too bad Wrex fired a carnage at it, ripping it to shreds.

He turned to the geth floating in the air. Unfortunately, his shotgun needed a moment to cool down after what he did, so he got in close for when they dropped. And they did only a few moments later. Right after they landed, Wrex crushed one, and blow the head off the other.

He turned to see what to kill next, only to see the walker obliterate the other red geth. He didn't understand why it happened, only that it did.

There were only a couple of geth left in the area, the rest were scrape. The only real danger left was the walker... that was aiming right at him. Wrex jumps to the right to dodge it and throws a warp at it, hoping to do something, while also taking cover from the machine gun fire.

It was like fighting a tank, only it had legs.

It was the same for a while. He would dodge the larger attacks, and use cover for the machine guns, while using every chance he could to attack. However, he couldn't do much of anything against it.

When he was hiding behind one of the last remaining cover, most of the others having been destroyed, a salarian rushed into his cover. "We have a plan to destroy that thing, but we need your help." Flinching as gun fire hit their position.

"Yea, what do need me for?" While Wrex didn't like salarians, he was willing to work with them, depending on the situation. This was one such situation. He also didn't feel like dying.

The salarian showed Wrex a package of about one foot by one foot "Take this explosive and while under it, place it inside. It should take it out."

"Should?"

"Small chance it could live, bomb had to be made out of supplies on hand, not proper materials."

He took it. He didn't have much chose in the matter. None of them had anything to really kill it. He looked around his cover for a moment, only to duck back as more rounds hit the cover. "If I'm going to do this, I'm going to need a distraction."

"Already taken care of." The salarian said while pointing to his friends.

Wrex looked over, and saw the quarian and two salarians pop out of cover with their omni tool activated while pointing at the walker. No doubt using some kind of tech attacks. Whatever they did, it worked. The walker was attacking them, and gave him the opening he needed.

He rushed towards it. It took a few seconds before the walker turned towards him again. He put up a barrier to protect himself, while still rushing towards it. He wasn't far, and was able to cross most of the distance by the time the walker prepared to fire its main gun. However, before it could, it was hit by an overload, curtsey of the salarians, stopping its attack.

With the opening giving by them, Wrex went under the walker and planted the bomb inside it before leaving. The bomb detonating shortly after. He turned around and watched as the smoke cleared to show a still intact walker, however, there were numerous sparks coming off of it, and it was shaking. It slowly turned to face him, while firing a few rounds from its machine gun, every few seconds. The rounds never hit him, but they were close. "Thought that would have done more." A salarian says close by in cover.

Wrex just huffed before getting close and bashing a leg in, causing it to collapse, before then shooting it in the head several times. The group of salarians plus the quarian, walk up behind him.

"Thanks for the assistant. We may have lost more than Vaeji, if you didn't." Wrex just looked over his shoulder at them, not really caring.

He didn't care for them, but he did have one question for them "Do you know where I can find more of these things?" Lightly kicking the walker.

"Me and my team were actually going to find the root of this. Come with us, and you'll find plenty of enemies to fight." They walk pass him, and out to the main area.

Wrex just huffs and follows after them.

With the council

Before the start of the attack, each councilor was off doing their own thing. Each, in their own way, going about their day. Tevos was going over various reports about the many trade agreements the republic has. She was also going over other reports from time to time.

Sparatus had various reports about pirates and military movements. As usual, he was trying to think of ways to stop, or lessen, pirate attacks. Other than adding more defenses, he couldn't really think of anything, and adding defenses would only really delay the attacks, not stop them.

Valern was on his way his way to talk to the drell.

It was at this time that they each received a message. A message that said that the citadel was under attack by the geth. For a moment, they thought it was a prank, who in their right mind would attack the citadel. However, since it came from c-sec, it couldn't be a joke, right. Each of them stopped what they were doing to check on what was happing, and quickly found out it was true. Valern was also trying to understand how the geth got to the citadel unnoticed.

Receiving several reports about the same thing also helped.

What was the most troublesome however, was that the geth were pushing to citadel tower. They, along with the other diplomats, needed to evacuate before they arrived. Tevos, Valern, and Sparatus agreed to meet in the local parking lot as it was both close by and it allowed them to get transport to the Destiny Ascension easier.

However, people were running around in a panic with the geth attacking making it a little annoying to get there for them. This delay cost them.

When their transport came to get them, it was shot out of the sky before it could get to them.

With nothing better to do, they decided to hold up where they were. It didn't take long before the geth arrived.

Luckily, c-sec had arrived before them to add to their defense. With six biotic users, they had constant barriers up to protect them. It was really the only way they survived as long as they did.

The geth were unending. No matter how many they destroyed, there was always more. It got even worst when the krogan showed up.

Valern looks to the krogan and geth and takes note of what was left. There was six krogan, two of the jumping geth... correction one jumping geth, and six standard geth. The two large walker geth folded into a smaller state behind several car wrecks a while ago, and has not been seen since. As for the rocket geth, he hasn't seen them for a while.

He immediately tapped the turian next to him and asked "Have the rocket geth been taken care of, or are they hiding?"

The turian, Potrius he believed, replied right after taking a few shots at the geth "Last I saw they took cover and haven't been seen since. Probably looking for a weakness in our defenses before firing again. Even they don't have infinite shots." Right before firing at the geth again.

Even thou they had biotic barriers protecting them, their forces still took cover from time to time. This was because of instinct when under fire, and that there was a possibly that the barriers could fall before a new set could be put up.

That is when it hit him. The enemy forces were studying their patterns, so that when it was close to time to switch, they would attack with everything they had and wipe them out. When their barriers would be at their weakest.

A quick look at the next set of biotics showed they wouldn't be able to put up barriers for some time, they wouldn't react fast enough. It was also getting difficult for the biotics to even put up barriers anymore and the time between switches was decreasing. They were getting tired.

Valern reached into his clothes and pulled out his shield grenade. While it wouldn't last long, it would buy them enough time to act.

He was right in his prediction when the lead krogan shouted "Fire!".

He knew he didn't have much time, so he picked the best place, primed the grenade, and threw it.

The moment it hit the ground, near the center most point, a shield of golden energy sprang forth and surrounded most of them. However, two turians and an asari were not protected by the shield and were caught in the fire from the krogan and geth.

Caught off guard, c-sec and the council's personal guard sought cover from the fire.

When it ended a short while later, they were surprised to be alive. How were they alive? The smoke was still somewhat hiding them so they couldn't fully tell how. It was about twenty seconds after the biotic barriers fell that everyone fully realized that they were still alive and how they were alive.

A strange golden dome was covering them.

While confused about what happened, they all knew they had an enemy to fight so prepared for combat once more. They could also hear the krogan say "I am KROGAN!"

Before any of them could try and fire through the dome, Valern spoke up quietly "Don't shoot. The shield will reflect all shots, regardless ifs it's from inside or outside the barrier." And knowing Sparatus, and some others, were going to ask, he added "I'll everything explain later."

Sparatus continued to stared at him for a moment longer before quietly directing everyone into position, knowing they had only seconds before the smoke cleared.

When the smoke cleared enough for both sides to see each other, the lead krogan yelled while gesturing with both hands, with his shotgun still in his right hand "What the hell is this?!" Clearly confused on what was happening.

The Geth however were already preparing for combat once more. While curious about how they lived, and about the golden shield, they had a mission to complete first and foremost. And that mission was to kill the council.

The golden energy shield dissipated a moment later, and before the geth could fire or properly get into cover for some, the council races fired and took out two of the normal geth, along with the jumping one, it really needed to die. The krogan weren't targeted first because when compared to the geth, they will react slower. But, even with slower reaction speed, the krogan were able to get into cover within a few seconds after the first shots were fired.

"Forward, don't allow them to recover!" Sparatus screamed out while also firing his pistol. They were mostly using their kinetic barriers to protect them. All of their biotic capable individuals were too tired to produce shields for any real length of time. They had to end the fight fast.

They all rushed forward with the intent to finish them.

The geth did not expect them to act in such a way and took a moment to reorganize and replan for combat. However, the time it took for this to happen was in a fraction of a second. They all knew that cover would not help with this change in tactics so all the geth units stood and fought.

However, the geth walker was a problem. None on the council side had any heavy weapons of any kind, other than a few grenades they had left. Otherwise, they lacked the means to get rid of it. However, they had a plan to take care of them, but they needed to take care of the others first. For the time being, they used stasis to immobilize them.

With them out of the fight for the moment, the asari, turians, and salarians were able to quickly get in close with little to no trouble, other than the return fire.

As they go close, they jumped the geth. Using their guns to bash their heads in and take them out. The plan was very risky, but highly awarding. A few had already fallen by now due to the geths high accuracy and lack of biotic barriers for cover.

But it was worth it.

Only a few geth, plus the krogan remained.

They weren't much of a problem anymore, the walkers were. And, they were moving again.

Them targeted the closest individuals, and ripped them to sherds in seconds. Thankfully, stasis was used again to stop them before it got anyone else.

All that was left was the five krogan, and three geth.

The turians and asari moved to take care of the krogan, while the salarians took care of the geth.

While the council side had a more than the others, the krogan were tanks if nothing else. They wouldn't go down easily.

The salarians used sabotage on the geth units. As they had no other weapon on them, they had no choice but to engage in close combat, as the salarians were only a few feet from them.

While not designed for close quarters combat, geth units were more than capable of it. Unfortunately, the salarians were prepared for it.

The geth swung their rifles at the salarians, but they missed.

But the salarians didn't.

Each one had their omni tool out and ready with the same program. As their omni tools made contact with their respective geth unit, one in the chest, another in the head, and the last on the arm, an electrical shook went through each unit. Not enough to take them out, but enough to stun them for a few seconds. It also had the added effect of draining their shields.

A few seconds wasn't much, but it was enough time for the salarians to complete their task.

The one that grabbed the geth's arm, kicked out its opposite leg, spin and slam his back against its chest while taking hold of its arm, before than flipping it over him and onto its back. He took out his rifle a moment later, before shooting from its head to its chest in one full burst. Ending its life.

The one that touched the geth's head, tackled it down before putting his guns to its head, and firing full auto.

The one that touched the geth's chest, change his omni tool into blade form and stabbed through its chest. He then planted a grenade on its back, before kicking it away and exploding it.

Looking over to the others showed the krogan with several guards pointing guns at them. The krogan didn't look so good. One was bleeding profusely on the ground unconscious, possibly dead. Another was in a similar state, but conscious. A third had a portion of his stomach missing and was barely conscious. Without medical attention, he was likely to die. A fourth one didn't look all that bad and was standing next to the fifth one, the leader most likely, staring at councilor Valern.

That left the walkers. With the others taken care of, they could focus on them. Half of the biotics gathered around each one. What they were about to do was not normally done, but they didn't have much choice in the matter. The moment stasis wore off, they all used lift on them. With the walkers unable to act and in the air, everyone attacked. It was lucky that all off they had switched to tungsten rounds when the geth started attacking, or it would be much more difficult to put the walkers down. The two rocket launchers that they picked up from the geth also helped.

By the time the walkers were destroyed, the biotics were dead tired and were suffering from mild exhaustion and overuse of their abilities. They will need rest before they can use their abilities again.

Back with the krogan "I will ask this only once," Valern says while pointing a pistol at the lead krogans head, mere inches from it "Tell me how the geth and you got onto the citadel without anyone knowing?" There was a momently before he continued. "And if you do, I will let you walk away from this."

The krogan smirked when he spoke "Why should I tell you?" His eyes then narrowed "And why should I trust you'll keep your word?"

The pistol lowered and fell to Valern's side. "You have little reason to trust me, and I have little reason to trust you won't come back and try and kill us at a later date. But, sometimes, one needs to trust others, even ifs it's for a short while. Sometimes, one must make a leap of fate."

The krogan's eyes narrowed even further "What makes you think I know what you want? I took a geth ship to get there, I don't have one of my own anymore."

Valern shrugs his shoulders "Few reasons. One, while not the most well known in the terminus systems, you are known enough for us to keep eyes on. You are known for being highly cautious. I'm doubtfully you didn't keep track of where you were at all times."

The krogan smirked again "Your right, I did keep track. You want the coordinates prove to me that your trustworthy. Heal him." Using his head to gesture to his friend with the bleeding stomach.

Sparatus walked up next to Valern and asked "Are you sure this is the right course of action? Who's to say that they won't turn around and kill us the moment they get." Let it be said, he did not trust the krogan. "Is this information really that needed?"

"Information very important. Needed to prevent more attacks. No other source known. And possibility of krogan betrayal? Yes, very possibly, but like I said before leap of fate." Sparatus nodded and, with reluctant, backed off. Whatever the geth did to get pass their security was a major issue that needed to be corrected as soon as possible. Valern gestured to one of the surrounding guards to heal the krogan.

While hesitant to do so, they did it after a moment before getting back into position.

"Now then, your end of the deal."

The krogan huffed before typing away at his omni tool. "Didn't think you'd keep your end of the deal." He muttered to himself. It took a few moments before a little drive was ejected from it. The krogan grabbed it before tossing it at Valern who was quick to snatch it out of the air. "Everything you need is on there." Giving him a hard stare.

There was a stare off for a few seconds before Valern broke it gestured with his hands at the surrounding guards. It only took a few moments before they all started backing off while still pointing at the krogan.

With all their eyes on the krogan, they failed to see the geth sniper lining up a shot.

Seeing them all backing away, Tevos walked closer to them. "Is the matter with the krogan dealt with already? I prefer it if we got..."

"BANG!"

"Sniper!" Was scream by someone before everyone ran into the closet cover.

Valern looked for Tevos and tapped Sparatus's shoulder when he did. She was on the ground clutching her with some blood covering her hand. No doubt where the shot hit. Given that there wasn't a large amount of blood, it didn't hit anything too bad but was still a... never mind. She just fell over unconscious. It must have hit something important.

Several of the guards started shooting, no doubt finding the shooter. He payed it no mind, and walked over to Tevos quickly and applied medi-gel to both sides of the wound. She would likely needed a professional, but it would do for now.

Sparatus walked up behind him and said "Whoever the sniper was got away." Sounding irritated. "Is she going to be okay?" Now concerned.

"Will be for now, but doctor is needed, and soon."

In the space around the Citadel

The Battle has not been going good for the defense fleet. While the geth fleet was powerful, they were at least something they could deal with. However, the massive black geth dreadnought and the closing of the relays were a major concern. And also the CITDEAL CLOSING!

They had many things to deal with. And it was not looking good.

"Status report." Said Matriarch Lidanya. She was an older asari in last century of life. She had pink circular marking around her eyes and was wearing a light brown/dark brown vest. Her skin was light purple in color.

"Shields are failing."

"Numerous ally ships have been destroyed."

"There is some wield anomaly detected in sector 366-55."

Lidanya was listening to the many different reports coming her way as best she could. The last one held her attention thou.

"What do you mean anomaly?"

"A large amount unknown radiation is appearing there. I can't determine... An unknown ship has appeared from the anomaly."

"A ship! Who does it belong to?" Secretly hoping it was one of the allies.

"I can't identify. Their IFF doesn't match any known one."

Lidanya was stressed enough as it was, she didn't need more problems. "What can you tell me about? Is it friendly or not?"

Before the senor officer could reply, the communication officer spoke up "Mam, we're receiving a message from the unknowns."

"On screen."

Tell Valern he owes us

Lidanya looked at it strangely before asking "Is that it?" She could that they were likely friends of the councilor, but she didn't remember ever be told about them.

"Yes, mam." Was the reply.

Sorry this has taken so long. Had life problems, got into D&D, and getting motived to work on it. Hopefully this won't be a problem in the future, but I won't promise.

Also, this chapter is over 6,000 words long. That is, I think my second longest chapter for any story. I could be wrong thou. Either way, good to see you all again.

Another thing, feel free to suggest anything. I might add it. Or just give ideas. I could always use help.

See you next time.
