The Great Maze Chall/Comp: You see Harry up ahead kissing someone under the mistletoe. Watch out for nargles.

The Burrow was usually warm, filled with laughter on Christmas day. It was something that Ginny had always looked forward to growing up, maybe they didn't have a lot of money, maybe they didn't get as many presents as other children. But they had enough. There parents went out of their way to get them something for that day.

It was always a day of celebration.

But this year ... it was a time of mourning.

Ginny was lying on her stomach in front of the fire, watching the dancing flames. It seemed relaxing, almost soothing despite the burn they would give her if they came into contact. Her body relaxed, shifting her head further into Harry's lap, closing her eyes when he ran his fingers gently through her long red locks.

"Do you think he's watching us?" she asked, knowing he'd understand who she was referring to.

Harry let out a small sigh. "I think so. I think they're all watching us."

Honestly, she didn't know how she felt about that. The afterlife had always been a mystery to her and she'd often thought that when you died that was it. Ginny had always assumed that life stopped and you fell into complete obliviation, but once Harry had told her about meeting Dumbledore after the Killing Curse had struck him the second time. Well ... she wasn't too sure now. Were they waiting them all of their loved ones to join them - to die.

"I don't want to lose anyone else." Ginny admitted, feeling the pressure in her chest at the confession. "I don't want anyone else to leave me."

"I know."

It had been a few weeks since she'd cried, grieved over her brother and friends that had died in the war. Ginny had sworn that she wouldn't waste all her time dwelling on those thoughts. It was done, they couldn't change anything. They all had to live their lives now. However, she could feel the burn of tears behind her eyelids at that moment.

"I don't want to feel like this all the time." She admitted, sounding choked to her own ears. "I don't want to constantly - I just ..."

Her boyfriend leaned over, stroking her cheek softly. "I know."

They were silent for a moment, neither saying another word. Ginny only moved, looking up at him when he cleared his throat suddenly. Harry smiled down at her, nodding his head towards the floating plant above their heads. The sight made a light smile cross her face.

"You know what they say," Ginny said, shifting to sit up. "love is the cure for all."

Harry didn't answer her, only smiled sadly before leaning forward to press his lips against hers. It was gentle, soft and loving. It was everything that she needed right now, everything they needed right now.

Ginny fell deeper into the kiss, promising herself things would get better.
