Author's note: Ok, here we are! The Epilogue! I'm sorry if I dissapointed anyone but I couldn't come up with anymore ideas for the curing scenes. I also felt you guys were going to get bored hahaha. Well, Let's see what happens!
Chapter 22: Epilogue
A week had passed since The Love Potion Fiasco and things in Fairy Tail seemed to be back to it's usual atmosphere. However, there was a bit of a large difference. There were couples everywhere. Natsu and Lucy obviously had something going on, Gray seemed to be more tolerant of Juvia. EverGreen was taking a nap on Elfman (again). Romeo and Wendy were obviously dating. How can Gajeel tell? Well...
"You're cute." Wendy said with a smile to Romeo.
"No, you're cute." Romeo replied with an equal if not, greater smile.
"No, you're cute."
"No, you're cuter."
"I think I'm going to be sick." Carla muttered to herself.
Gajeel was sitting at his usual table in Fairy Tail. Munching away on some iron that was provided for him and waiting for his small, blue-haired girlfriend to arrive; yes, his girlfriend. After their passionate kiss, the two decided to make it official and become a couple. Today, a new bookshop opened up in Magnolia and Gajeel wanted to take his girlfriend to the grand-opening and get something to eat afterwords. But for some reason, she wasn't at the Guild. Where was she? She would usually be here by now. Don't tell him that she went without him! Getting frustrated with waiting for her, Gajeel walked up to the bar where Mira and Laxus were flirting.
"Oi! Demon wench!" Gajeel began "Quit flirting and help me out here." The new couple looked at each other for a moment before Laxus got up, said goodbye and went to hangout with his friends.
"What's wrong Gajeel?" Mira asked with concern.
"The Shrimp! Where the hell is she? I wanted to take her on a date today!" Mira thought for a moment before remembering something important.
"Oh! Erza came in this morning and said that Levy was running late this morning."
"Running late? The hell for?"
"Don't know. Apparently she has some stuff she needs to take care of before coming to the guild." Not liking the sound of this, Gajeel raised a studded eyebrow, got up from the barstool he was sitting on, told Lily his story and left for Fairy Hills.
Gajeel walked the long dirt path to his girlfriend's apartment building. Very soon enough, he arrived at the front door and looked above. He soon found what window belonged to Levy due to her scent coming from that particular window. Gajeel jumped from tree branch to tree branch before coming face to face with the window. With his Dragon Senses, he picked up the sound of rustling noises coming from the apartment. Gajeel took a daring leap from the branch and into the open window and made it. The place he entered was her private bathroom, a standard give away to the women in Fairy Hills when they move in. He quickly looked around the bathroom and noticed right away, it was filled with books; typical Levy. Gajeel followed the rustling noises and opened the door which led him into the main area of Levy's apartment. There, in the middle of the apartment, was Levy with six large boxes. Two boxes filled with papers and books, two filled with an odd variety of liquids, plants and herbs, and the remaining two had chemistry/potion making supplies in them.
"Shrimp?" Gajeel called out. Levy jumped slightly hearing his voice.
"Oh, Gajeel." she sighed "It's only you." Gajeel looked at her with questioning eyes.
"The hell you doing?" Levy sighed.
"I'm giving up potion making." his eyes widened.
"What?! The hell for?!"
"It's too dangerous." Levy reasoned "I'm not trained by a professional, I need professional training if I want to be a potion maker and since Porlyusica won't offer training and Magnolia doesn't have Potion making classes. So, until they start to offer them, I'm giving it up."
"I understand your reasoning there...I think. But the hell you gonna do with your crap?"
"The Potion making set, I'm putting in the Guild's storage facility. The ingredients I'm donating to Porlyuisca for future use, and all my research and books on potion making I'm donating to The Guild's Library."
"Ok," Gajeel drew "even the Love Potion or whatever the hell you call it?" There was a moment of silence before Levy finally answered.
"The Love Potion," she began "The Potion, whatever I have left of it, I'm going to bury somewhere safe, and the research and recipe, I'm destroying it." Gajeel's eyes widened.
"You're what?!"
"I have no choice Gajeel, I have to."
"Why the fuck are you destroying it Shrimp? It was one of your crowning achievements!"
"It's a danger to everyone around it Gajeel. Remember last week? I don't want to go through such a thing again and I think improving it is not going to help. Something like this must be destroyed."
"I understand that Shrimp but why bury the fucking thing? Why not just go ahead and pour it down the drain or something?"
"I thought of that." Levy explained "But I thought of every possibility. If I pour it down the drain, then it will be in the town's water supply; therefore, the whole town gets affected, if I pour it on a fire, the vapors will get into anyone around it's system, making it airborne. If I pour it on some plants, it will kill the plant life."
"So," Gajeel realized "burying it is the only option."
"Exactly." she walked over to her now surprisingly clean desk and Gajeel noticed two things on her desk; what was left of the Love Potion that she didn't bottle up now in a heart-shaped bottle, and a wooden chest. Levy took the bottle of the remaining Love Potion and put it in the box. She took out a metal key (which was made from pure Iron) and locked the box. The moment Gajeel heard the tumblers lock, he spotted runes appear around the box.
"Was that?-" Gajeel asked.
"Yep." Levy nodded "I had Freed put some runes around the box for safety. No one can open it now. Only person who can is me. Even when my time comes, not even the people after me can open this, only me. But I'm not going to." she tossed Gajeel the key "do whatever you want with it. I don't care." Gajeel studied the key, shrugged and began to chew on it before swallowing it "Think you can help me get rid of the Potion and the notes?"
"Sure." Gajeel shrugged "I got nothing better to do right now."
The young couple walked on the beach that Fairy Hills owned. Doing their best to keep far from the water, right in the center of the beach.
"Here's a good spot." Levy said "Let's start digging, and make sure that the color of the sand is in separate piles." Gajeel groaned. He put down the fire wood, took his arm and turned it into a shovel, detached it and handed it to Levy. He then made another shovel and began to start digging. Eventually they dug deep enough to where there was three piles of sand; from light to dark. Levy took out the chest that carried the Love Potion and placed it in the center of the large hole. Gajeel reached out his arm and helped Levy out of the hole before they started filling the hole. When the hole was filled, Levy smoothed out the sand so it looked as if they never dug there.
"Ok," Levy sighed after wiping the sweat off her brow "Is the fire wood ready?"
"Yep." Gajeel grunted. He helped his girlfriend arrange the fire wood into a perfect campfire.
"Solid Script: Fire!" Levy screamed. The word "Fire" appeared out of thin air and she targeted it at the pile of wood. The wood soon bursted into flames and created a campfire. When the fire was hot enough; Levy took out the file that was filled with research on the Love Potion and the recipe. She took the file, and threw it into the fire. Levy and Gajeel watched as the file turned a golden brown color and soon a burnt color before becoming part of the flames.
"There." Levy sighed "It's gone forever. Now history will ever repeat itself."
"Thank God for that." Gajeel muttered "Just pray to God that Rain Woman hasn't copied the recipe."
"Doubt it, I hid the recipe well before destroying it."
"You wanna go to that new book shop that just opened up?" Levy smiled.
"Sounds good to me." The couple began to walk off the beach hand in hand, on their way to the new book shop, silently thanking God that everything involving the Love Potion was over.
The End.
