Chapter 11: Yuuka's Interlude

Yuuka P.O.V

Gensokyo, in a world full of gods and other creatures there are few who are considered to be the most powerful. In fact there is a very small amount of others who are anywhere near my power level. Who am I you ask? Depending on who you ask I go by many names. Youkai, the Flower Master of the Four Seasons, the Sleeping Terror. No, my name is yuuka kazumi and I am the most powerful creature in Gensokyo.

I have been here for a long while and during that time I have managed to gather a reputation of sorts. It's gotten to the point where even the mention of my name has caused humans and youkai alike to cower in fear. For all those foolish enough to challenge me, well let's just say their bodies will make great fertilizers for my garden. I tend to be very protective of my home and my garden as well. This doesn't mean that in not a kind person. In fact sometimes I feel the need to let my former pray go, not without some bruises though. After all how will people know to stay away if I let them go without consequences? Still I met some people who I could call friends in a sort.

Such as Alice, I have known this little blond puppet master for a long time. She's a good girl very respectful. Her mother who I cannot visit because of where her domain resides. Medicine and her fairy fiend stops but from time to time. One person who hasn't been seen in centuries. I even made a friend out of one of the lunarian rabbits. That gap hag stops by when she can as we both value our sleep and let's not forget my gate guard Elly. "I suppose I can consider her a friend. I stop by often enough even if it just to annoy her". "Yes I have grown close to the hakurei clan as of late."

Besides that nothing has changed too much in my life. "Well I guess that's a bit of a lie". About 5 years ago something new entered my life and that thing was named Rose Hakurei. When I first heard of her I only knew her as the adopted daughter of the clan's current head. I had never once saw her in person but people talked about her enough so I got a general picture of what she looked like. So imagine my surprise when a you girl in a shrine maiden outfit came into my garden.

"If her "mother" had taught her better she should have known better than to wander into my garden. No matter now everything happens for a reason and if she had perhaps we would have never meet."

Flash back

I saw her as I was on my way back to a particular plant that had been wilting. She was obviously lost. At first I was unsure about what to do about her. Just as I was about to call out to her she bent down tore off a piece of her clothing and used it to help the plan out. I was a bit stumped most humans wouldn't do such a thing.

"Oh her clothes. She must be the girl I have heard so much about how interesting." Then I heard an object drop to the ground. My eyes flowed it as the glass object rolled its way to me. The girl quickly flowed after it but was unable to catch it. As it stopped at my foot I realized it was a monocle. I gently bent down and handed it to her. As I looked the child in the face. " aww she's so cute, wait what?" I just couldn't help but tease her a bit. "Fufufu… it appears that I have a visitor in my garden and it's a shrine maiden of all things how interesting." I said.

She replied to me in a very respectful and plight tone. I was thankful that she didn't catch reimu's arrogance. As I talked to her about her generosity towards my garden. She seemed shocked that such a large place was my entire garden. "is it possible reimu didn't teach her about me?"

As we continued to talk it became very apparent that reimu neglected to mention me. Form what she told me she was trying to get to the little vampires house. After I told her how far away she was she started to worry a little. She confessed to me that she didn't know her way around this place yet. Not to mention she wasn't supposed to go this far from the shrine. So me being the kind person I am I decide to walk her home.

As we walked she told me a little about her life before coming here. After she finished I began to feel a whole new emotion. RAGE. " how dare they! Those discussing excuses of human's doing such a thing to a child. Not even youkai would take things that far." Still I was confused I couldn't figure out why I cared so much.

I noticed she was getting tired so I offered to carry her rest of the way back. Once secure on my back she soon fell asleep. "Why am I doing this again? Whats wrong with me? Perhaps im just emotional from the story she told."

We made it back to the shrine but reimu was not home. Reluctant to leave her by herself I stayed until reimu came back. And boy did she. When she saw me in her home sitting next to her sleeping daughter she yelled quickly yelled questions at me. After a quick but no violent reminder of who she was talking to I left thoughtful I would ever see that girl again.

Flash back End

I slept for about three years after that. I saw her again at the spring festival at the shrine. She thanked me for my help and also apologized for her mother. For some reason I felt the need to speak to her so we talked. I don't remember exactly what we said but by I do remember everyone was passed out by the time we finished talking. I found myself really enjoying her company. Soon she was visiting almost every day. I even started visiting her as well. We didn't talk about much in fact she mostly did most talking. For the first time in many years I was content. Soon rumors started speeding around about our relationship. I could tell it was effecting her but it wasn't in a negative way. So I decide to wait and see what she would do. She didn't mention it to me witch was fine it gave me time to think about my feelings toward the situation.

After spending three years as friends she finally asked me out on a date. The date was at my home we simply had dinner but it went perfectly. At the end of a tournament hosted by suika we told others about us. We felt it was best to tell as many people as possible in one go. Everyone took the information as I expected them to. A lot of people were shocked, some were happy, even a few of them found it funny. There were still people who didn't understand why but we were accepted by those that mattered the most to her so it was fine.

I still remember the look on her face when I took her to my other home mugenkan for the first time. She had so many questions but I did my best to answer them the clearest way I could. I was a little worried about introducing her to my gate guard as elly can be a bit over protective at times. The two of them quickly became friends.

Begrudgingly people had to admit that we were a good but unusual couple. Though we still had some problems our biggest seemed to be related to my sleeping habits. I slept through the majority of winter. So I miss events like Christmas, new years and Valentine's Day. I quickly adjusted as I was already used to waking up for Christmas for her when we were just friends all I had to do was add to more das to my list. In fact it was surprisingly easy the way things transitioned between us. It was almost laughably so that one such as I would be tamed so easily. "Though I guess this means she had me wrapped around her finger from the very start huh." I thought.

Then there was the bigger question if she had access to mugenkan or not. When we were just friends she visited often with me guiding her there. Once we started dating I began to wonder if I should allow her access on her own especially for safety purposes. Still I was apprehensive about letting someone have twenty-four hour access to mugenkan.

My worry for her safety proved justified by a close encountered sneak attack with my enemy turned friend seiran. Although reimu, marisa, the other shrine maiden and some other moon rabbit defeated the group she was working for. Rose was made to stay in bed for almost a month.

I hadn't heard about the incident until I popped in for a surprise visit. After talking to her about it I decide it was in our best interest to find a way for her to have access to Mugenkan by herself. I quickly started on it "after I paid a cetin bunny rabbit a particularly painful visit of course." After speaking with reimu she mentioned a youkai who had the ability to manipulate dreams. We figured the best way was to teach her how to enter my home through dreams.

We used the month she was made to stay in bed accomplish this. We started with simply finding my place then worked on creating a body in my realm that was connected with her original. All in all what would take even the most exceptionally skilled witch years to accomplished was done in 4 months. I was so proud of her and so was her mother.

So when her presence appeared at my gate I was not really surprised. What surprised me was that she came to see me when spring was only 2 weeks away. "Something really bad must have happened. Since she knows the first thing I do is come to see her when I wake up."I thought.

I could vaguely hear her talking to elly just outside the gate. "it's a good thing they became so close elly needs someone else to talk to from time to time." I whispered. "if only I could bring elly to out to gensokyo but I understand why that's a bad idea."

I can hear her running turning into a quiet walk as she gets closer to me. "She's probably trying to stay quite incase I'm still asleep. I wonder if I can surprise her a little." So I close my eyes and change my breathing patters to appear as if I was asleep.

I hear her enter my room. As she gets closer to me I can feel her looking down at me. I hear a slight sigh and as she starts to turn away my hands dash out to pull her into bed with me.

"fufufu you know I knew you were their right? However this is a nice surprise I don't suppose you came all the way here to watch me sleep did you? My little rose". I said.

She turns towards me and says "while being here with you like this after so long is worth it. For you to think I came all this way here for that reason alone is kind of creepy". She said. She quickly starts to relax in my arms. "if anyone else had done this I would think their suicidal."

To help her relax more I slowly started to kiss her neck then I said "I see so I would take to mean something happened at home then. Since I know you don't particularly enjoy coming all the way out here. So go ahead and tell me what the matter is so I can make all your problems disappear". as I slowly started to take off her clothes. She pulled back from me a little and started to explain why she was here.

As her story went on I was getting increasingly angry by the minute. "I swear if rose wasn't holding me down right now there would be a massacre at the shrine."

After she finished her story she looked up at me. There was a bit of fear in her eyes not of me specifically but what I would do next. Before I could say something she pulls me in close for a kiss and I instantly relax.

After kissing a bit more i slowly took off her shirt. I had to find something productive to do with my hands. "what better way to makes us both relax and forget about the current situation."

Quickly, I remembered every inch of her. From the sounds she makes down to the taste itself. Trying to be as gentle as possible I quickly get rid of her clothes. Gentle doesn't always work for me thought. "Just ask the bruise I left on her shoulder from our last encounter".

In a unusual display of dominance she moves on top of me, rips off one of my night gowns and attaches herself to one of my nipples. "Well played dear. I will let you take the lead for now but I will definitely pay you beck for this tenfold."

I hiss and moan as she bite down hard loving the sensation of a bit of pain with my pleasure. Her eye twitches slightly but she doesn't stop as her to right hand roughly squeezed my other breast. Her left hand dips down to spread my thighs apart. Just as she is about to stroke my ore sensitive spot her body freezes.

"Rose? I called out "Rose are you ok? What's the matter? I start to panic as the longer it takes for her to respond. Something must be wrong with her original body. She shouldn't be in pain here not from this anyway. "Yuuka…home…body…h..help" she said. I reach out for her but her body fades away.

After my moment of shock I quickly get out of bed and get properly dressed. Without saying a word to elly I open a door to my home in gensokyo and step through. Once there I quickly take off flying over my garden nocking everything over in sight. With only one thought and destination in mind.

Once at the shrine I look around at the destruction in front of me. The ground has been dug up, where stone pillars used to sit nothing but ash and rock remains. Sections of the house is either missing or broken. As I walk towards it more I can see reimu, suika, Doctor Erin, ruima, a blond human girl and yukari. Reimu looks fine other than some cut marks and a bandage around her head. I don't bother looking at the other three as any wounds they might have gotten most likely healed up by now.

So I turn my attention to the human Erin is stuffing potions down her throat. Ruima is looking unusually concerned for what she normally considers pray. Suika and reimu are bandaging up the bleeding spots. As I take another step forward yukari turns to me.

She says "my my hello yuuka. My I ask why…"

"Where is rose" i say cutting her off. Reimu and suika look up at me, then to each other , then me again.

"Where is rose!" I yelled.

"I'm afraid rose has been kidnapped" yukari says.

"What!" I yell again.

"Its true yuuka she was taken" suika says.

"Who?" I ask. They must have been frightened by my sudden calmness. Reimu steps up.

"By her supposed family and some group called the order of the phoenix" she replies.

"I see…oh yukari" I say.

"Yes yuuka?" she causally replies.

"Tell me where can I find this order of the phoenix?"

Authors note: so yeah some ones in real trouble. Anyway I just want to go on record and say Yuuka Kazumi is my favorite character of the touhou series. So I needed to take the extra time to make sure I do the character justice.

P.s thanks everyone for sticking with me through my bad grammar and waiting period. As well as the waiting periods between chapters.
