March 13th. I picked a random day at approximately the right time, assuming Ed's birthday is February 3rd. Post-Brotherhood. Al's POV. May be followed up with more birthdays or more events of this one (Sorry, this had such terrible typos early because I used my mom's IPad to type it up and spellcheck... T.T)

Some people claim that our sight is our most substantial sense, to be able to see whats in front of you. However, I think that they are wrong.

Every caress of the wind, the casual touch of a human hand, sends me a tingle of euphoria. It was proof I was alive. I could feel again, smell again, live again, and it was one of the most wonderful things in the world.

It was only topped by the people around me, to be near those I love. Brother. May. Winry. Even Ling and Mustang.

Today, they were throwing me my first birthday party since I got my body back. brother and I had always quietly celebrated together before, but this was something new. This time, everybody was here, and I could actually taste the cake.

And boy was I look forward to that.

I grin ed when Winry set it in front of me (it felt so good to do that, feel my lips stretching across my face), eighteen candles lit brightly on top. Immediately, everybody broke into chorus.

Happy birthday to you!

(here some people, namely Ling, varied off into the "monkey" version)

Happy birthday to you!/You're one-hundred and two!

Happy birthday dear Alphonse/You smell like a monkey

Happy birthday to you!/And you look like one too!

Brother sounded like a dying cat. Ling was making a special effort to be as loud as possible. Mustang had a deep blush on his face, probably embarrassed yet doing it anyway. Winry had a joyful smile on her face as she sung along. And May... she sung with an honest, open and loving look, her voice like an angel's.

In short, it was the best birthday I ever had.
