A/N: There is literally NO excuse for me not finishing this story. I do have an explanation, though: I was writing the epilogue, then doubted about the direction it was going and decided to work on it later. And I guess I did; for 14 months. I am SO sorry. I have no idea what came over me, some of you might have to reread it even to know what this story was even about. All I know is, I have the epilogue right here and then it'll be finished. I know it's short, but I hope it'll do anyway. In any case, I like how it turned out!

Disclaimer: Nothing is mine. Still not.

'Light years away'

Epilogue

He stepped away from the bed, not taking his eyes off of her sleeping form. His heart warmed, as he had so many times over the course of the past few months. Oddly enough, he could never get enough of her, in every form of the word. He regarded his day as unfulfilled if he didn't kiss her in the morning, or when she had finished her breakfast, when she would go to work or to the supermarket and when they would retire to bed in the evening. She was the drug he had been living without for years and was only introduced to recently, after having looked at it from a distance for ages.

She stirred. His hands itched to brush the strand of hair out of her face that had fallen when she turned. Oh, screw it, he didn't have to hold back any longer.

Yet when he inched closer, he noticed that her face was contorted, sporting an emotion close to disgust.

Wait…

disgust?

Her eyes shot open and she left the bed at top speed, rushing out of their bedroom before he could blink. Instinctively, he rushed after her, finding her leaning over the toilet.

"Oh," was the only thing he could muster. He knelt beside her and rubbed her back in soothing circles. She took quite a while to recover and when she did, she sat down against the nearest wall. He watched her movements carefully, even though he knew that she was alright. She knew, too, he realized when her eyes flickered to the small, silver ring on her left hand. He sat down beside her then, grabbing her hand, rubbing his thumb over the top of it.

They sat like that for a while, none of them too sure of how long exactly. Their peaceful moment was broken by her looking up at him with a gentle smile on her lips.

"So, what do you think? Shall we go and enjoy what little quality time we've got?"

"What plan have you come up with, Teresa?"

"Let's just go. Drive away. Anywhere. In the Silver Bucket. Like we did back then but under better circumstances."

So that was exactly what they did. And as her belly grew, he realized that life couldn't possibly get any better than this and he was the luckiest man he would ever know.

A/N: So there you go! Hope you liked it! Sorry once again for leaving it for so long! Now, Light Years Away is OUT! Thanks for reading!
