Todays Endbringer

For Taylor Hebert, life is suffering. Most teenagers feel like that of course, but most teenagers don't have to deal with treacherous former best friends and bullying on a level where it could be considered a legitimate war crime. But of course, Taylor Hebert is no ordinary girl and, even without Bug Powers, the universe always happens to take a dump on her. This time, its in the form of three new friends.

Anyone ever heard of Todays Cerberus? Its a Manga about a boy who gets a cerberus in the form of a teenaged girl hanging around making trouble. This...isnt that. Instead, it takes the concept and changes it to Taylor with Friendbringers. Oh, and the Endbringers personalities, to an extent, but I think it can still work nicely. Now, on with the show!

Chapter 1

Sometimes, Taylor Hebert wondered how she was still alive. Not only did she live in the worst city on the East Coast, infested as it was by doped up drug pushers, Nazis and Triads under a rage dragon, but her former best friend was doing her level best to either make her commit suicide or kill her herself. Even after that horrific 'prank' three months ago that had landed her in hospital for a month thanks to the horrific number of infections picked up from the Locker full of sanitary products and the mental scarring from the event, the bullies had not let up and the school still did nothing. Indeed, it was only thanks to her Hebert stubbornness and the fact that she didn't want to utterly destroy her Father, who was barely coping from her Mother's death, that she hadn't already killed herself.

She sighed as she stopped in front of her locker, ruthlessly suppressing the urge to simply ignore it. She knew she couldn't go through the day with all her books in her bag without either hurting her shoulder or having the Bitches Three damage her books. Of course, there was no guarantee that they'd be safe in her locker, but it wasn't as likely as the stuff in her bag.

With her things safely tucked away, she shut her locker, lent her forehead against the metal and took a deep breath as she steeled herself for the day ahead.

"Come on Taylor, one step at a time," she muttered, "You can…"

"TAAAALLLLLYYYYYOOOORRRR~!"

"WhaAARGG!"

Taylor barely had time to look before she was hit by a low flying missile that knocked her flat.

"Ow, what the hell was…" started Taylor as she tried to sit up, only to find herself weighed down by something on her chest.

She looked down and stared. Clinging to her like a limpet was a girl with silky black hair tied into pigtails with green ribbons and large, green eyes. She was wearing a pink sweater with overly long sleeves, a checked skirt, stockings and flat shoes, as well as a pair of green headphones patterned with waves and with a pair of fin-like extensions coming out of the ear pads.

"Ohmygoshitssogoodtofinallymeetyouinperson!" babbled the girl, "I'mNamiandIcan'twaitto…"

She was cut of by Taylor freeing her arm and planting a hand over her mouth.

"Get. Off," she said.

The girl blinked, then tilted her head on one side as if she was listening to something. A moment later, she went red and jumped of Taylor with an eep.

"Ohmygosh, I'm sorry!" she gasped as she grabbed Taylors wrist and literally hauled the taller girl to her feet, "I didn't mean to hurt you, I just…"

"You didn't, I'm fine," said Taylor before the girl could get going again, "Now, who exactly are you?"

The girl grinned.

"I'm Nami, my sisters and I are transfers," she said.

"Your...sisters?" asked Taylor.

Nami nodded rapidly.

"Yeah, they're...busy, but I'm sure you'll meet them soon enough!" she chirped.

"Riiiight," said Taylor, "Now what was the glomp in aid of?"

Nami grinned again. Taylor got the impression that she did that a lot.

"I was just happy to finally meet you!" she said, "I've heard a lot about you from Nii-chan!"

"I...see," said Taylor, "Um, do I know your...Nii-chan?"

"Nope!"

Taylor stared at the overly happy girl, now completely confused. She'd be first to admit that her social fu was weak, but even she could see that Nami's smile was completely guilless. She was being entirely honest, no matter how utterly nonsensical the words coming out of her mouth were.

Taylor opened her mouth to ask further questions, but before she could, the bell rang. Nami jumped and looked around as the watching crowds of asshole teens began to head off to class.

"Ohmygosh, we gotta go!" she gasped and grabbed Taylors hand, "Come on Taylor!"

"Hey, wa..AAIIIT!" yelped Taylor as she was nearly yanked off her feet by the surprisingly strong girl and dragged off in the direction of her first lesson that Nami apparently shared with her.

As it turned out, Taylor shared a few lessons with Nami, which meant that she was somehow pigeon holed to be the excitable new girl's guide. Fortunately, it served to keep the Trio away for a while since it would take some time to get Nami on their side through either sweet talk or threats, on the down side, Midiori had so much energy and pep that keeping up with her was nearly impossible for a beaten down girl like Taylor. Simply listening to her rapid fire babbling was exhausting and, despite her friendly demeanor and the fact that Nami was the first friendly person Taylor had met in over a year, she was glad when she found out that she didn't share the last class before lunch with Nami. That meant that she could take a breather and not have to deal with showing the excitable girl the canteen and potentially paint a massive target on her back.

Instead, she decided to head to her most recent hidy-hole, the second floor girls loo. Not the most glamorous of places to eat her lunch, but it was quiet, didn't smell too bad and the Trio had not managed to find her there yet, so she could eat in peace.

After making sure that no one was in there, she quickly locked herself in one of the stalls and quickly started wolfing down her wrap. Once she was done eating, she'd spend the rest of lunch reading or doing homework in the vain hope that she'd be able to turn it in before it was ruined or stolen.

Taylor was nearly finished with her wrap when she heard the door to the toilet open. She froze, listening closely as the sound of the newcomers came closer. A moment later, there was a bang on the door, making her flinch.

"O-occupied!" she called.

Instantly, she realized her mistake as a familiar giggle sounded, followed by whispers and the sounds of the stalls on either side opening. She dropped her mostly finished wrap into its paper bag and stood, before trying to open the door. Unfortunately, it seemed that Winslow's low standards were working against her again as the door that opened outwards remained stubbornly closed as she shoved on it. Apparently, someone was leaning against it to keep it shut.

She could hear the other two doing something on either side, but had no idea what they had planned. She was just considering whether it was worth trying to scream when the door to the bathroom abruptly slammed open.

"HEY, what are you bitches doing?!" shouted an unfamiliar voice.

There was a yelp of shock from one side, followed by a thump, a yelp of pain and a splash and a stifled curse from the other as the pressure holding the door shut abruptly vanished. As a result, Taylor nearly lost her balance as the door shot open, but managed to catch herself on the frame. She looked up and stared at the unexpected scene.

Madison was leaning against the stall to the side, rubbing her arm where she had apparently banged her elbow, while Emma was sat on the floor just inside the stall on the other side, looking rather pained with an empty bottle of cranberry juice she had probably been planning to empty over Taylor sat on the floor beside her with its contents all over her. Sophia was apparently the one who had been holding the door shut, but was now in a stare down with a girl Taylor had never seen before.

She was tall and as well built as Sophia, with long, strawberry blonde hair with long bangs that were clipped back with strawberry hairpins and unnaturally red eyes. She was wearing a white, button down shirt, a pink sweater tied around her hips, a checked skirt, stockings and flat shoes, as well as a pair of black and red headphones that were patterned with flames and had a pair of short, cow-like horns sticking out the top.

At the sight of Taylor, the girls eyes widened slightly, before narrowing dangerously.

"Who the fuck are you?" growled Sophia, "I don't recognize you."

The girl snorted and tossed her hair.

"Thats cus my sisters and I transferred in today," she said.

Sophia narrowed her eyes as she stepped forwards and got in the taller girls face.

"Oh, so your new eh?" she sneered, "Well then, I guess you wouldn't know. See, my friends and I? We're the top dogs around here, got it?"

The new girl blinked, then showed her teeth in what appeared, on the surface, to be a grin.

"Oh, so you think you're tough eh?" she sneered right back, "Sorry kitten, but I've seen plenty of people far tougher than you. Trust me, you and your little posse? You ain't tough, your just another bunch of mean girls who can only got where you are because of tits, money and HER lawyer Dad."

Sophia's entire body went tense.

"What was that?" she growled.

"Oh I'm sorry, does the kitten need her ears cleaned out?" said the new girl, "Maybe your little leash holders can do it for you while their getting you primped for your next photo shoot?"

Sophia went red and, for a brief moment, Taylor was certain she could see lightning crackling between the two tough girls as the silhouettes of a massive tiger and an even larger bull stared each other down. Then, after what seemed like an eternity, Sophia relaxed slightly.

"Emma, Madison, we're leaving," she growled.

It was sheer luck that Taylor managed to keep her jaw from dropping. Sophia NEVER backed down. She'd seen the black girl go toe to toe with groups of massive E88 wannabe gangsters without batting an eye, so the idea that she'd back down to a single new girl was...not what she'd have expected. Then again, she wasn't about to complain if it meant having to deal with the Trio less.

The trio filed out of the room, a very confused Emma and Madison trying to get some answers out of a clearly enraged Sophia as they went, leaving Taylor and the new girl alone.

"Um, thanks for that," she said, "You really helped me out."

The girl looked at her, then turned away with a sniff.

"Whatever, its not like I did it for you," she said, "I just hate fluffed up bitches like Hess. Sides, you helped Nami out this morning, so it was the least I could do."

Taylor blinked, not entirely sure what to make of the first part since the last one seemed to contradict it, so she decided to ignore it for now.

"So, your one of the sisters she mentioned?" asked Taylor instead.

"Hnn, names Ichigo," said the girl as she turned to the door, "Later Hebert, try not to get beaten up by that over fluffed housecat."

She shut the door, leaving Taylor to think about what in the hell had just happened.

Managing to make it to the end of the day without having to go home for her own mental health was something of a novelty for Taylor. Normally, something would happen that would force her to go home, either because she couldn't take the Trios antics any more or because they'd done something that had ruined her clothes. Of course, considering the reason for the reprieve, Taylor was willing to bet that they'd be doing something soon that would make sure that she knew that the reprieve was temporary at best, a thought made perfectly clear by the burning glare Sophia sent her way when they passed in the halls.

Of course, Sophia and her revenge was only one of her worries since there was still the other two members of the Trio and their many hangers on. True, anything they came up with before the end of the day likely wouldn't leave her with ruined clothes, books or anything, but it likely would end with her emotions in tatters after Emma did her part in twisting the knife just so.

As a result, it didn't even really surprise her that much when she found herself being hemmed in by Emma and her goons during the class change. Fortunately, this would mean that the entire thing wouldn't take long, unfortunately, it would make Taylor late for class.

For a moment, Taylor entertained the idea of trying to push through, but considering the burning glare Sophia was directing her way from where she was lurking at the back of the pack, Taylor decided not to. It looked like Sophia would really hurt her if given the excuse and Taylor didn't feel like dealing with a broken arm right now. Instead, she did her best to tune out childish insults coming from the social vultures while staring at Emma's smug little grin, waiting for it all to be over.

However, once again, the universe decided to throw Taylor a curve ball and completely upset the balance that had been created between her and the Trio.

It happened just as Emma was about to step forwards to deliver her latest twist of the knife in Taylors back. As she did, Taylor caught sight of someone stepping up behind the red-head and tugging on the back of her jumper. Emma paused and turned, prompting the rest of the Bitch Queen hivemind to turn as well to see who had interrupted the queen bee and, in the process, allowing Taylor to see the newcomer as well.

The first thing that came to mind when Taylor saw the girl was how out of place she looked. She was small and slender, to the point that she almost resembled a doll rather than a girl, with short, silvery blonde hair, gray eyes and flawless skin. She was wearing a perfectly pressed pink sweater, a checked skirt, stockings and flat shoes, all of which were worn perfectly straight and shined, to the point where she wouldn't look out of place in the notoriously strict Immaculata High, the local Christain school. Her impeccable neatness was rather at odds with the white, feather patterned headphones she was wearing that had a pair of wing shaped extensions sticking out of the ear pads and the thick, leather mask she wore over the lower half of her face.

Once she had everyone's attention, the girl held up a pad.

Excuse me, but your blocking the hall.

There was a moments silence as everyone looked between the pad and the girl, before Emma managed to regain her wits.

"Who the fuck are you?" she demanded.

The girl frowned, flipped to a new page in her notebook and started scribbling.

My name is Shirone and theres no need to swear.

"Whats with that stupid pad?" asked one of the hangers on, "Can't you talk?"

Shirone's frown deepened and she flipped to yet another new page, this one with a pre written message.

I don't talk for personal reasons.

"Oh great, another retard," tittered one of the girls, prompting a round of snickers from the Bitch Trio hivemind.

Taylor narrowed her eyes slightly as she read the note carefully. It didn't look like anyone else had noticed (which wasn't that surprising considering the average intelligence of the Bitch Pack), but Izayoi hadn't said that she couldn't speak but that she didn't. That implied some far more interesting, and potentially dangerous, things than her simply not being able to speak.

"And whats with that stupid mask?" asked another girl, apparently deciding that the new girl was a much easier target than Taylor.

Shirone completely ignored the lesser bullies as they got started, instead scribbling something else down in her pad.

The bells about to go, so could you all move on? I'd rather not be late for class on my first day.

That got another round of jeers from the bullies, but did manage to get them moving. Within a few moments, Taylor and Izayoi were left alone in the hallway.

"Um, thanks for that," said Taylor.

It was no trouble, wrote Shirone, We owe you far more than we can ever repay after all.

Taylor frowned.

"Whats that supposed to mean?" she asked.

Shirone gave a pained smile, somehow managing to project the expression through her mask and flipped her pad to a new page.

Not here, not now, she said, Meet us after school and we'll talk.

"Us...meaning you and your sisters?" asked Taylor.

Izayoi nodded, then held up her pad again.

Later, its time for class.

She smiled again and headed off down the hall, leaving Taylor staring after her and wondering just what in the hell was going on with the new kids.

And I think I'm going to leave this here. I was going to include a bit more and a scene of Ichigo kicking the crap out of Sophia, as well as the gimmick for this (and Today's Cerberus) version of the Endbringers, but this'll do for an ending. I wonder if anyone can guess what it is? Assuming you haven't read the Manga that inspired this that is.

So, the Endbringers. They obviously aren't as powerful as their original forms as they are now, however they have a limiter that can let them access more, right up to their full power. All without leaving the form of a teenage girl. Thats not going to end badly!

I originally planned to use names from the regions where they first appeared for the Friendbringers Human names, but I couldn't find any I liked and these have some interesting meanings.

Anyway, I'm done, so I'm gonna sign out. Don't forget to leave a review on the way out!

EDIT: changed Izayois name to something more fitting.
