Also shout out to all the people that follow and favorite this story, I reread the other chapters and I felt like I was reading the work of a 5 year old…. I don't know if I even used spell check… so I have decided to rewrite those chapters to make them more grammatically correct as well as adding more details to make the story more interesting. If I have over a hundred followers with as many mistakes as I have made then I hope you guys will even enjoy it more when in fix it up.

But sorry to keep you waiting, you've been waiting for this update for a long time so I shouldn't keep you waiting.

The suns light soaked into the rooms of fairy Hills in the early morning. The rays of light dancing along the floor of the cozy room of Erza Scarlett, reflecting off of her many suits of armor and moving along the foot of the bed. The small soft breathing of the Scarlett mage were the only sounds in the empty room at such hours in the morning.

As a stray beam of light fell upon Erza's face she groaned slightly snuggling her body into the source of warmth that was under her. She nuzzled her head between two of her pillows digging into the warmth farther and hiding her eyes away from the brightness. She hooked a leg around a bundle of blankets at her feet as well as hooked an arm around the pillow close to her head and pushed her head closer towards it still groaning lightly due to some light still getting in.

"Princess?"

"Shut up Natsu." Erza said in a sleepy voice as her hands moved towards the frilly end of her pillow. 'Wait. Frilly end of my pillow?' Erza thought as she stopped, she ran her hands through the frills again.

"P-Princess?"

Erza's eyes instantly opened as she took in her surroundings. She lifted her head only to come eye to eye with Natsu's expressionless face, all except his pink shaded checks.

"N-natsu! What are you going here?" she said shocked that he was here, that he was under him. Her eyes looked down at where his armor was but grew when she realized he was only in a pair of pants. His abs under one of her hands while her other was still in his hair.

"You summoned me earlier." Natsu said with a pink dusting on his cheeks.

Erza eyes snapped back to Natsu "I did?" she questioned.

Natsu nodded "last night you were repeating my name continuously while holding my key, when I was summoned you were already laying on top of me so I stored my armor in your pocket space so that you wouldn't be uncomfortable."

Erza only listened before nodding "I see." She did not however move from her position, nor did she move her hands or legs away from Natsu's. She turned her head to the side slightly "you know it gets cold at night… you used to keep me warm."

Natsu looked at her then slowly grabbed her chin and moved her face so that it was directed at him "You said that before. When you invited me to the picnic." He bowed his head slightly "I'm sorry I can't remember."

Erza bit he lip as her eyes began to water "its o-okay." She croaked out.

Natsu looked up at hearing that, "B-but this does feel familiar!" he said quickly to try to reassure the women on top of him.

"It does!" She shouted excited.

"Y-yeah it's vague but it feels like I've done this before, I just can't put my finger down on it." Natsu said as he closed his eyes trying to remember.

Erza watched as he tried his best to remember when a thought popped into her head. 'If this helps Natsu remember maybe if we repeated what all we did in a bed together he can remember!" Erza lit up at the prospect of getting Natsu's memory back.

"Natsu." She said in a commanding tone, her face right in front of Natsu's.

"Yes princess?" he asked curious to her attitude change.

"Grab my ass."

.

.

.

"P-princess?!" Natsu said slightly flustered.

Erza looked straight at Natsu's eyes "Grab my ass Natsu, and don't call me princess right now, it feels strange."

"What should I call you then, mistress?" Natsu said with flushed cheeks.

Erza lost some composure as Natsu used a term that was very common in her rather smutty novels that were collected in her closet. "T-t-that's fine, but only when we're alone like this. Understand!" she said trying her best to give her evil stare with bright red cheeks. 'It's not like I didn't want him to call me that eventually anyways.' Erza reasoned to herself. An unexpected grip on her rear pulled her form her thoughts as she yelped in surprise.

Natsu instantly pulled his hand away "I'm sorry mistress!" he said quickly.

"Its fine Natsu, you just surprised me." Erza said as she took some deep breaths 'Why is this so hard to do?' she complained internally.

"Maybe we should just go and do that mission?" Natsu offered, " I don't think this is working…" he said as he then tried to wiggle out from under Erza, but due to her leg hooked around one of his he only succeeded in grinding against her.

Erza had to bite her lip to stop any sound from coming out "N-Natsu stop!" she stuttered out as Natsu instantly halted. She unwrapped her leg from his and took her arm from around his neck sitting up beside the dragon slayer spirit. "There."

Natsu sat up and looked to Erza, she had a sad look on her face and Natsu couldn't understand why. "I'm sorry I don't remember." He said confused on what words to say that would comfort the woman "I'm trying to, I really am."

"I know Natsu. It's just…" Erza stopped mid-sentence looking away from Natsu.

"Should I-"

"You should return to the spirit world so that you can come out during the mission later" Erza said cutting Natsu off.

Natsu continued to look at Erza for a few moments before bowing "As you wish." He said as he disappeared in a flare of fire which surprisingly didn't set alight anything in the room.

Erza sighed as she looked to the area that Natsu was recently preoccupying, she then looked down and was a little surprised to find his key firmly stuck between her cleavage. She calmly pulled it out before sending it back to her pocket dimension. And there she sat, alone in her silent room. The warmth that was recently enveloping her without her even noticeing was slowly disappearing, making her aware of how cold her room really was.

Deciding not to deal with the cold of her heart Erza stood, reequipping into her usual armor, and grabbed the handle of her large wagon full of her things as she headed to the train station. She took another glance at the mission request, it was a simple bandit extermination, something Natsu would've been overjoyed at taking. She gave a bitter sweet smile as she loaded the train to the city where the mission was posted from.

/a few hours later

Erza exited from the train onto the deserted platform. Obviously the bandits were causing the tourism in the area to dwindle to nearly nothing. She strode forward through the empty streets as she began her trek towards the mayors house. According to the flier he would be the one that had the job information as well as the pay.

Erza's eyes scanned the area as she walked, most of the houses seemed to be abandoned but every now and then she would notice the smallest flicker of a curtain a someone tried to peep out without showing themselves. She was set on edge as she felt the peering eyes of the townspeople as she walked. She was a little uneasy at the prospect of being alone in the middle of possible enemy territory. But even as she was beginning to think such things she suddenly felt a warmth across her heart.

Her muscles relaxed as she found the familiar warmth of Natsu course over her. 'Even now you try to cheer me up.' Erza thought as a small smile graced her face. For she knew she was not alone, and she knew that Natsu had to keep his promise and for as long as it would take Natsu would never leave her side.

With her mind preoccupied with her thoughts she never even noticed she arrived at the designated location till she almost ran face first into the front gates of the mayor's mansion. She pulled out the job flier to check that this was the correct location before lifting a metal plated hand and knocking on the hard metal gate.

*Bang*bang*bang* "Hello my name is Erza Scarlet. I have come from the guild Fairy Tail after accepting your job request." Erza said projecting her voice into the mansion as to gain some sort of attention.

Within moments she saw a small frail old man open the door to the mansion and make his way to the front gate.

"I'm so glad you've come!" the old man said in a jolly voice.

The tone of voice instantly put Erza on edge. From what she just walked through there was no reason for anyone in the village to have a happy tone to their speech. "Are you the mayor?" Erza asked narrowing her eyes.

"YES! Yes! And you're just in time! With your added help that dark guild will be handled in no time! Especially with a mage such as the great Titiana joining us! Those nasty bandits and that dark guild have no chance!" the over joyed mayor shouted.

"Dark guild?" Erza questioned as she looked at the flyer "But your request says nothing about a da-"

"Sir we need to make preparations for taking on the guild. "Came a voice form behind that man.

Erza's heart stopped as the familiar voice washed over her. Her eyes growing wide as she looked into the mansion to see the one face she was wishing to never see again. There walked the one and only Jellal Fernandez.

"I was thinking that we could use the help from the guild to take care of the bandi-"Jellal voice stopped in his throat as he saw the woman standing in the doorway. "Erza…" Jellal spoke out in barely a whisper.

"OH you know each other! Fantastic that means you can finish this part- AHHHH" the mayor screamed as Erza suddenly summoned a sword as was currently holding it to the rather sweaty blue haired man's throat. "HEY HEY FIGHT THE BAD GUYS NOT EACH OTHER!" the mayor yelled flailing his arms.

"Give me a single reason that I shouldn't cut you down right here." Erza growled through clenched teeth as she stared at the man. Her eyes starting to water over slightly as her emotions started to surface due to facing the one who had took everything she had from her, causing her to once again coat her heart in a body of armor.

"I-I-I" he stuttered out as he felt the cold steel of her blade rest on his throat. He closed his eyes as he simply accepted everything that was happening. "I don't have one…" he finally let out before opening his eyes once more "I have wronged you in more ways than I could ever repay, if you killing me would repay what I owe you then I will accept it." Jellal said in a defeated tone. "Nothing I can say could possibly express the regret I feel for what happened to Natsu."

With that Erza stared once more at the defeated man before her. Her emotions running wild as the last few moments she spent with the old Natsu ran through her mind. The laughter of the dark guild master filling her ears as she heard Lucy and Jellal speak of their plan that had gone terribly astray. After the incident she learned that Lucy knew almost nothing of it, but Jellal knew everything. Spoke to everyone. Set everything up so that it would work. Even to this day she didn't understand the reason nor how the hell such an idiotic plan was supposed to work. But she did know one thing. She knew that the man before her was the cause of her pain, he was the cause of the past two months of heartache as she was forced to rekindle her relationship with a Natsu that wasn't hers. HE WAS THE REASON FOR EVERYTHING.

And with those emotions coursing through her she pulled back her blade, a tear running from her eyes. Jellal looked at the women as she pulled back the sword, his eyes shutting as he accepted that this was what he deserved. To die by the hands of the woman he loved, the woman that he took everything from.

"You have NO RIGHT TO SPEAK HIS NAME!" Erza screamed as she swung the sword. The now scared shittless mayor dived out of the way to preserve his own life.

*clang*

The sound of steel hitting steel rang out as Erza looked in shocked. Jellal opened his eyes to see what saved him for his death and was surprised to see the back of a head of pink hair.

"N-natsu." Erza stuttered out as her strength left her and the sword dropped from. Her emotions withdrawing as she looked at Natsu. He was making a face so unNatsulike, a face she never wanted directed at her. A face of disappointment.

"Erza." He said softly making the women drop to her knees. He kneeled down to her height before gently cupping her cheek. "What are you doing?"

"N-natsu." Erza repeated as he looked at the spirit. "He's the one, he's the one who did all this." She said as a tear started to run down her face "HES THE ONE THAT TOOK YOU FROM ME!" she screamed. A set of hurried footsteps sounded as the small group was suddenly joined by the other two members of Jellal's guild. Upon seeing what was occurring the two new faces made the smart decision to keep silent.

"I'm right here Erza." Natsu said softly as he brought the woman into a tight embrace "I promised you I wasn't going to go anywhere. But what you're doing right now isn't you Erza. You don't kill people." He paused as he put his hand in her hair "your heart is too big. These aren't bad people."

"H-how can you say that Natsu" Erza said between a sob as she clung tight to Natsu's chest plate. "He is the reason behind your memory loss, he is the reason that every time I see you my heart is crushed over and over again."

Finding this as the best time to speak up Ultear stepped forward. "He isn't completely to blame for his actions." She spoke solemnly.

"Ultear!" Jellal snapped "we discussed th-"

"No Jellal, I am just as much to blame as you for what happened to Natsu." Ultear sighed before looking at the confused tear ridden face of Erza. "Ever since I cast the dark magic on Jellal in the tower his body has been slowly building up dark magic from around him. It's what caused him to go crazy in the tower, sacrificing friends for no logical reasons, and making decisions that had slim to none possibilities of working." She paused to let the information soak in "after I removed the dark magic from him he was left with an empty vessel inside of him, and due to the fact that we have dedicated the pass 7 years of our life to destroying Zeref and his dark magic that vessel began to fill once again. After the incident" she gestured to the form of Natsu "I cleared out the vessel once again of the seven years of dark magic that was driving Jellal insane. Then I put a seal on it to insure that something like this would never happened again." Ultear finished bowing to Erza.

"NONESENSE!" Jellal yelled "I won't make any excuses for my actions." He looked to Erza "I have wronged you, even if my mind was twisted it was still my own. I won't accept some reason that would lighten what I di-"

"Shut up."

Jellal's mouth closed in an instant as he heard the command from the red head. He and Ultear watched in a shocked expression as Erza stood. She let out a shaky breath before turning to the group before her. "Natsu wanted me to forgive you, and I will with time. He was right, it's not like me to kill friends." She spoke although the last worked seemed forced. "But no matter what reason or blatant acceptance you give me, it changes nothing." She looked up at the two "Natsu is gone. That is what happened. He isn't coming back no matter how much any of us want him too."

"Princess?" Natsu asked concerned as he stood "I'm right here?" he asked confused.

A choked giggle escaped Erza lips as she wiped away the tears that were left on her face. "I know, you are. You kept your promise." She closed her eyes before placing a hand on his armored chest. Feeling the warm metal on her palm, a feeling that she would never have encountered with her Natsu. "But my Natsu lied, he did leave me. But he left you as a reminder." She said with a small smile.

"But princes-"Natsu stared before being cut off by the red head.

"It's alright, I still hope that one day my Natsu will comeback." She smiled as she looked to Natsu "that one day you will remember ever promise you made to me. That you will remember all the days we had together since we were kids." She smiled.

"I… I will try my hardest princess." Natsu said trying to reassure Erza, even though such an unNatsulike line only made her heart hurt even more.

"I know you will Natsu." She turned to the others "and I will work on forgiving you all." She bowed.

Natsu gave a smile as he watched Erza finally compose herself and act like the women he got to know the past two months. "Alright!" he grinned "Now let's start this-"his words were cut sort as a sudden pain in the center of his chest suddenly made the powerful spirit down to his knee and let out a pain filled groan.

"Natsu!" the group called at once seeing him in such a state.

Natsu covered his mouth as the pain increased, a sudden soughing fit racked his body as Erza knelt down next to him in an effort to comfort whatever is was that he was going through. "Natsu are you alright?!" she said panic laced in her voice.

The pain slowly started to subside as Natsu regained control and his coughing halted. "Y-yeah" he stuttered out "I don't understand what just happened." He groaned as he moved his hand away from his mouth only for his eyes to widen as he saw his blood coat his hand. "But I should be fine if I return to the spirit world longer and heal. It shouldn't be a problem." He shrugged indifferently since he was a spirit and death wasn't really a possibility for him.

"Natsu." Erza whispered from his side as she saw the blood. A flashback of him coughing up blood on her skirt while watching the life fade from his eyes flashed before her eyes. "We need to go back now!" she yelled grabbing Natsu's hand and lifting him from his spot on the floor. "We need to get you to Wendy now!" she said dragging the spirit out the door.

"But what about the mission!?" Natsu asked, he knew coughing up blood wasn't the most healthy thing to be doing but that didn't change the fact that he could simply return to the spirit world and let Erza complete the mission, after all with the time difference it would seem like only seconds to him.

"THIS IS MORE IMPORTANT THAT A STUPID MISSION! I WONT LOSE YOU AGAIN!" Erza snapped back as she continued to drag Natsu away, she glanced at the mayors house to see Jellal, Ultear, and Meredy standing outside the door. "I trust that you guys can handle it!" she yelled back getting a quick nod from the trio. "Alright I won't lose you this time Natsu!" she turned to Natsu and in perfect Erza like fashion sent a perfect chop on his neck, causing him to pass out and disappear into the spirit realm. A wince came from the trio at the house as the witnessed the act. As well as Erza sprinting towards the train station.

"I hope that if Natsu makes it through all this he can make it through being with Erza." Meredy sweat dropped.

"I'm sure he can, he's a tough guy." Ultear giggled.

"WHAT THE HELL! I HIRED THAT MAGE TO TAKE OUT BANDITS NOT TO COME TO MY HOUSE AND THEN SUDDENLY LEAVE!" yelled a now extremely pissed mayor.

"It's fine." Jellal said putting a hand on the mayor's shoulder. "We'll finish it all in no time." He glanced as the retreating figure in the distance "after all someone put their trust in us once more."

"You know considering that Natsu was just coughing up blood we really don't seem that worried." Meredy suddenly spoke up surprised by their lack of a reaction to Natsu.

"You know, you're right." Ultear said rubbing her chin "I feel like he does it during every fight though so I'm kinda used to him doing that. And he probably only needs some human healing since he is only part spirit." she finished turning to Meredy before the two shrugged.

"It's probably nothing to worry about, I mean Erza already brought him back once." Meredy said as the duo turned back to the house followed by Jellal, leaving a slack jawed mayor to stand outside with wide eyes as he listened to the rather cruel conversation.

/meanwhile with Erza

"I NEED A TRAIN TO MAGNOLIA NOW!" she yelled to a rather frightened young man behind the ticket booth.

"M-m-ma'am, I already told you that there were no more trains running to Magnolia to-AH!" he let out a rather feminem scream as a spear head rested under his chin.

"Is there a problem?" Erza spoke in a demonic tone as her hair whirled around her.

"P-p-p-please don't kill me!" the man wailed.

"I need transportation to Magnolia immediately, a life is in danger and I-"Erza paused before face palming and retracting her sword. "My apologies I have found my own transportation." She turned around as the young man fainted as his life flashed before his eyes. "NATSU!" Erza yelled.

Instantly a flash a fire flared before her as Natsu appeared. He was still nursing his head from the hit Erza gave him earlier. "You got some nerve calling me back after hitt-"

"Take me to Lucy using your spirit magic." Erza ordered.

Natsu blinked at the request "I can transport people, I don't have that type of magic." Natsu explained. "And why don't we go finish the mission? I'm perfectly fine." Natsu said patting his chest as if to show his healthy body. "I just need to heal in the spirit world."

"Nonsense." Erza shook her head "We will be returning to Fairy Tail. But first I need you to take me to the spirit realm then teleport me to Lucy. I've seen and heard of people doing this before." She stated.

"Well…" Natsu thought as he recalled all of the things he had heard from the other spirits when they weren't being summoned by Lucy. "I guess it's possible but you would have to wear special cloth-" he didn't even finish his sentence as Erza was covered in a film of light and reappeared in the same clothes that she wore when the visited the celestial realm while training for the grand magic games. "Well aright then…." Natsu sweat dropped as Erza gave a smirk in her victory of their little discussion before grabbing Natsu's arm and yelled "To Lucy's!"

/with Lucy

"ahhhh." The blonde said as she lowered herself into her warm bath. The recent activities going through her mind. She had taken the first steps to truly making up with Erza, she had finally started to let go of Natsu. Yet for some reason she felt empty. The blonde let out another sign as she turned to her side in the warm bath. No matter how much she wanted to tell herself she couldn't completely give up Natsu. He was the one who brought her to Fairy Tail, he was the one that gave her this family.

He gave her the warmth that would always fight off the cold of the world.

But the more she thought about it the more she knew that his warmth was not for her alone. He gave the guild life, he shared that warmth with whoever needed it the most. He was what made the guild the joyous place that it was. Sure even know that he is a spirit and was at the guild they would still have fun. But Fairy Tail just wasn't the same since the salamander became who he is now. And every time she thought of that she came to the same conclusion.

I was the one that changed it all.

Sure Jellal did the most work, but Lucy knew she could've stopped it, she could've said something. She could've done something, anything to change what had happened. A stray tear started to fall as the face that haunted her nightmares flashed before her. The smiling face of Natsu saying that he already forgave her for what had happened. The normal stupid grin splashed with red as he coughed up his own blood.

She clenched her fist before regaining herself. She swore that she would take this second chance to fix everything. That she wouldn't be weak and cry. If Natsu could smile while dying then there was no way Lucy was going to cry while living. She splashed her face with the bath water before standing and grabbing a towel. Her mood to properly bathe already gone as she decided that she would go take a solo mission in order to get stronger.

"I'll get stronger." She told herself as she looked into the mirror, her towel rapped around her body. "And then I'll neve-AHHHH!" she screamed as a suddenly flash of light signaled the appearance of one of her spirits. She turned around only to see the face of Natsu behind her. She then went about her usual reaction to such a situation.

"AHHH NATSU!" she yelled before sending Natsu through the window with her patented Lucy kick.

"Your kick seems to be increasing in power." Erza spoke as she looked out the window in time to see Natsu splash into the canal.

"AHH Erza!" she yelled finally seeing the red haired woman. "WHAT ARE YOU AND NATSU DOING IN MY BATHROOM!?"

Erza turned back to the blonde. "Well we didn't mean to appear here specifically. We were simply trying to appear at your location." Erza explained as she crossed her arms and reequipped into her usual attire.

Lucy let out a sigh as she started to get her bearings. She was about to say something when the situation finally hit her. Erza was standing in front of her acting like, well Erza. Recently the red head had been cutting off the majority of the guild in depression, only talking to Lucy when she wanted to see Natsu. Yet here she was, with a small smile on her face acting as if nothing different had ever happened. As she opened her mouth to say something though Erza's figure went slightly rigid as her face became more serious.

"Natsu was coughing up blood earlier." She stated bluntly causing Lucy to look at her with wide eyes.

"W-w-what!?" Lucy yelled "did he get hurt? Is he not healing in the spirit realm?" Lucy questioned.

"He didn't get hurt so I can't don't have a reason to believe that that could be a possibility." Erza explained as she glanced out to Natsu who was currently stomping up the Lucy's house soaked from his dip in the canal.

"You don't thi-"Lucy said before another flash of light appeared in the room to reveal Loke.

"I wouldn't worry too much about Natsu coughing up blood." He said as he adjusted his glassed.

"KYYYAAAA!" Lucy screamed as she tried to kick the spirit since she was still wearing a towel, however her foot was caught by Erza.

"And why is that?" the red head asked as Loke had a nose bleed and Lucy was trying desperately to hide her modestly since the redhead was holding her leg up where she tried to kick.

"W-w-well" Loke said before composing himself "Spirits aren't meant to be in this world for very long, since Natsu is a new spirit his resistance is rather low. And since you summoned him for all of last night as well as yesterday he is currently feeling some side effects of being in this world." Loke explained. He saw as Erza's eyes grew as she realized that Natsu was currently suffering because of her. But before she could say another thing Loke continued "That's not important right now though, I need to talk to you about something much more dangerous to Natsu."

"What's that?" Erza asked as her head shot up.

"It's the forbidden spell you used to store him in the key." Loke spoke "Old man crux looked into the key you used. And I came to inform you of the danger that that spell has brought."

"And what danger is that?" Erza asked narrowing her eyes, her mind going at a hundred miles an hour. She let go of Lucy's leg before holding her hand before her, in a flash of light the key appeared. Her eyes widening as she saw a white crack starting in the top of the red jewel.

"If you can't find a way to return Natsu to completely human by the time the gem turns back to completely white Natsu will die."

Like is said ill re working on editing the past few chapters. As to my next update… I can't give you a solid answer… don't hate me… BUT I hope you enjoyed this chapter as the start the journey to return Natsu back to his original self. Also a lot of people were asking about a lemon. If I wrote one it's going to either be last chapter or epilogue. And It's not extremely important to me but if you people want one just let me know a I'll see who all thinks it's a good idea.

Till next time!
