The scenery was similar, yet different. The air is different. She fell to the ground, her hands sifting through the grains of sand. Different. Her throat dry. Not here.
What she remembered as a small like was a swamp.
It wasn't happening. No.
She wanted to go back. To her doll house. Her safe place. Her people. Her world. She wanted everything to be in order.
How she liked it.
All her dollies lined up just the way she liked them.

She woke up on her bunk bed and carefully got out to stretch her limbs. She was still stiff from the last fight. In bed still wearing yesterday's clothes but at least in her non-Evo form. She felt her joints crack with each stretch. Krystal pulled off her socks and let her feet slip into a pair of fuzzy slippers. her hand grabbed the ladder as she got up. Cerice's top bunk was still empty and cold despite the colorful pillows and posters. They tried to make this place as home-like as they could. Looking around the room felt smaller with the lack of her roommate. The photographs lining the back wall were cheery and full of glee.
"Krystal?" It was Kenwyn, she was off duty today. Lifting her hands up a bit she glanced back at her team-mate.
Accepting the hug, Krystal felt at peace.
"Come on, Tucker and Walter might have eaten our portions by now," Kenwyn looked at the photos, "Doc Holiday said Cerice has woken up, they are running a couple of tests."
"I'll go change," She walked around the bend grabbing a hairbrush for her Magenta hair and stared at the mirror. By now she would see Cerice waddle out of the shower and hear Rex yawning in the hallways.
They had to get the team back on track.
If anyone is complaining- I'm stuck! I've been re-reading this for a while and it's a bad chapter- I know.
