Four days later: Officially a month since Mikey's mutation

It had officially been a month. A month since Mikey became a baby and they were used to it. It's not like they liked him more this way, they loved their brother no matter what he was but it was definitely going to surprise them no matter how ready they tried to make themselves. April and Casey had fun with Mikey, but they missed the older one as well. But they backed off a little to give the family their time with him.

Leatherhead came around once or twice, simply to show Raph he appreciated the move to bond with him. But he, too, felt that the family needed to be together for a while, at least until Michelangelo returns to normal. All were curious as to how it would happen, and what would happen after.

The lingering thought that he might not have his memories clung to the air, but the brothers and Master Splinter was desperate to cling to the hope that the old Mikey would return. They went about their days, playing, feeding, and changing him. They never felt so close as a family as they did now, and it was all thanks to Mikey.

Little did they know that everything would change after tonight.

Michelangelo walked over to the pit, where two of his older brothers awaited. Raphael was snickering at Leonardo over Space Heroes again. Leo was acting his age, complaining and blushing in anger over the 'insults' to his hero.

Mikey briefly looked into Donatello's lab where he spotted his immediate older brother typing away at his computers. Mikey smiled and trotted over to Leo best he could. He had successfully grabbed the tape he wanted to watch with them.

Leo blinked as he noticed Mikey and ignored Raph. "Hey Mikey, find what you wanted?"

"Yesh!" Mikey giggled as he motioned for one of them to pick him up. Leo smiled and bent to pick him up but Raph pushed him out of the way to get to Mikey first. Raph stuck his tongue out and Mikey giggled again.

"Jeez Raph, if ya wanted to hold Mikey that much then just lemme know." Leo teased and Raph narrowed his eyes, a pink blush covering his cheeks.

"Shaddup Fearless!"

"Can we wash now?" Mikey piped up. The both looked at him surprised and a bit confused, then realized what he said.

"Watch, you wanna 'watch' now. Not wash." Raph corrected and Leo just smiled, flipping the tape that fell from Mikey's small hands over to see what they'd be watching.

"Finding Nemo?" Leo read aloud and Raph groaned. Mikey grinned as he snuggled to Raph's plastron. Leo laughed at them both. "Okay, I'll put it in. Go see if Don wants to watch."

"I don't even wanna watch.." Raph muttered, wiping his face with one arm.

"Ask Donnie!" Mikey commanded with a bright grin. Raph rolled his eyes, stalking away. Mikey wiggled against him excitedly as they edged closer to the lab and it made Raph blush.

He coughed and covered it up as he entered into Donnie's lab. Donnie looked up in surprise but then gave a quick, polite smile to his brothers. "Hey guys."

"Hey Don." "Hey Donnie!"

"What are ya up to in here?" Raph questioned, placing Mikey down on the desk in front of them both. Mikey instantly looked at Donnie and smiled wide. Donnie blushed a little.

"Oh, you know, just notes on some projects." Donnie replied while taking a pencil away from Mikey. Raph nodded, just for the sake of nodding since he wasn't all interested in what Donnie was doing per say. "And you guys?"

"We wash Nemo!" Mikey blurted and Donnie almost jumped. Raph just blinked and laughed out loud towards Donnie. Mikey looked confused but ignored him. "Wash with us!"

"Watch Finding Nemo with you?" Donnie asked, glaring at Raph shortly before looking at little Mikey. Mikey beamed and nodded. "I dunno…." Mikey gave the puppy dog eyes he'd relearned, even more effective in baby form. "Okay."

"YEY!" Mikey beamed again, clapping his hands excitedly. Raph's laughing turned into chuckles as he picked up Mikey and held him close. "I got Donnie say yes!"

"Good job, Mike." Raph grinned at Donnie, who rolled his eyes. Donnie forced himself away from his computer, his senses telling him to forget everything today and just hang out with Mikey. "Let's go."

"Yea yea…" Donnie sighed. Raph noticed Mikey staring at Donnie happily so he just handed him over. Donnie blinked when he felt Mikey lurched onto his plastron. Raph actually smiled instead of anything so Donnie smiled back and curled his hand around Mikey, who hummed in delight.

They walked in at the precise moment Leo paused the opening credits. Leo turned towards them, seeing Raph standing by Donnie. His little brothers holding his baby brother and it made him feel all warm inside. "Good timing."

"Cause we're that awesome." Raph grinned while Donnie and Mikey laughed. Leo sat on the ground, cross legged. Donnie sat on the bench above him and Raph sat on the ground by Leo. Mikey settled himself on Donnie's lap comfortably.

"Wait!" Mikey suddenly shrieked right when Leo almost pressed play. This little action cause all eyes to turn on the baby turtle, who struggled to get down. Leo saw this and helped him down.

"What is it Mikey? What's wrong?" Leo asked, looking a little worried at the outburst. Don and Raph exchanged weirded looks.

"Food! Need popcorn for movie, popcorn good!" Mikey cried while waving his arms towards the kitchen, with Leo standing holding out his arms. Leo chuckled, half in relief.

"Of course!" Raph grinned poking Mikey's plastron, leaning over Leo, who glared at him. Raph ignored it and laughed when Mikey giggled uncontrollably.

"No tickle me Raph! I'm serious!" Mikey said and the three older brothers paused. He blinked in surprise before they all blurted out into laughter.

"I'll tickle ya all I want!" Raph cried taking Mikey from Leo, both had gasped. Master Splinter walked in the room and paused seeing his sons laughing. He smiled warmly.

"Nooo stop! Leo, Donnie help me!" Mikey cried, laughing so hard he was turning red, wiggling away from Raph's death grip. Raph blew on his stomach, laughing himself so it was half effective. Leo and Donnie looked at each other.

"Oh, I dunno Mikey.." Leo grinned mischievously, doing what he used to when they were all little. He wiggled his fingers, getting closer. Raph saw this and stopped, but held Mikey down. Mikey cried, shaking his head with a huge smile.

"No, no no!" Mikey laughed when Leo tickled his sides and plastron. Donnie laughed and worked his way down, also smirking. Mikey's eyes widened. "NO NOT DONNIE TOO!"

"Oh yes, the tickle monsters are on full power." Donnie held up just one finger and Mikey gasped, tears leaking from his eyes as Leo and Raph laughed out. Donnie used the one finger to tickle under Mikey's chin and neck.

"NOO AH HAAA NO NO! DADDY! AAHH!" Mikey laughed so hard it had all brothers joining in. Mikey laughed in pure horror but joy as his brothers all tickled him together.

Splinter, having watched all of this, was bending over slightly, gripping his cane. He was laughing so hard that it had all his sons stopping. They never heard their Father laugh so hard before.

"Sensei!" Leo said in surprise. "I didn't know you were…" They all blushed except Mikey, who was finally catching a break.

"Ahahaha, my sons, I did not realize you were all…" Splinter laughed again and Mikey beamed.

"You came to save me Daddy?" He asked in hope and it just made Splinter laugh a little more. But he finally composed himself and stood straight.

"It seems I did already, my son. I overheard your plans for a movie and food. Shall I prepare the popcorn?" He asked with a smile. Leo, Raph, and Donnie suddenly smiled, delighted that their Father wanted to join.

"Sure Sensei!"

"Yey!" Mikey cheered again. Splinter chuckled and walked off to get the food. Raph then blinked when he felt Mikey trying to escape.

"Where ya goin Chucklehead?" Raph grinned and Mikey yelped, holding up both hands to show his innocence. Donnie and Leo stared before bursting out into laughter, Leo holding his stomach and Donnie hitting the ground. "I can't believe this…"

"Why Raph hand so big?" Mikey questioned suddenly, still pinned under Raph's hand. But he was inspecting it and Raph rolled his eyes.

"Cause…uh, I'm bigger than ya. Older." Raph replied as the other two brothers finally stopped laughing. Mikey blinked up at him and considered this. He smiled happily and hugged Raph's wrist, which was still pinning him.

"I love you Raph!" Mikey all but shouted as he tried to squeeze the bigger wrist hard. Raph's eyes widened and he choked up. Leo and Don sat upright and also stared in surprise. The sentence was cute and normal sounding.

Raph immediately pulled away so Mikey wasn't pinned anymore, blushing and rubbing his wrist. Mikey saw Leo and Don staring at him and thought he did something wrong.

"Oh, love you too Donnie!" Mikey corrected himself immediately, putting both small hands on Donnie's thigh to stare up at him with wide blues eyes. "Okay?"

"O-Okay.." Donnie replied, still shocked and it was probably worse now. Leo blinked as Mikey moved on to him now.

"Love Leo too!" Mikey gave a warm smile, his eyes beaming with love and admiration, just like with Raph and Donnie. It made Leo sort of want to cry. He always worried about them, always wanted to be a good older brother and leader so that he didn't let his brothers down. But Mikey was always admiring him.

Tears sprung to his eyes as Mikey climbed in his lap and hugged, best he could, Leo's plastron, snuggling his head.

"I lucky to have such great brudders!" He shrieked. All brothers were surprised and felt like they all wanted to cry, even Raph, though he felt weird at these feelings. Mikey loved them, he really loved them and looked up to them. But didn't he always? He's just expressing it differently right now.

And god did they love him too.

Mikey blinked as he got off Leo and saw Splinter walk into the room with enough popcorn and even sodas for the boys. Mikey beamed. "And you too, Daddy!"

"What, my son?" Splinter asked, confused. He was almost worried by the way his other three sons were lost in space and Leo had tears in his eyes. Mikey walked over to him and Splinter set aside the food to pick Mikey up.

"You the best Father in the world! Best! I love you a lot too!" Mikey beamed but was blushing by now. Splinter's eyes widened and he found that he, too, felt warm and emotional by these words. He hugged Mikey close.

"Oh, my child! I love you so much. Thank you. You and your brothers are gifts to me." Splinter replied cuddling Mikey close, one paw on the back of his head. Mikey grinned, happy to hear the words.

"Really?" He asked and Master Splinter held him out to eye level. By then his other sons blinked, coming back to this world as they all looked at Mikey. "You really love me a lot too?" Splinter blinked and his eyes widened.

"Of course, my son!" He blurted. "What would raise such a question?"

"Yeah, seriously!" Raph exploded as they got on the couch with him. Mikey just smiled.

"Well sometime I feel stupid, alone, and I mess up lots for brudders and Daddy." Mikey looked down, the light in his eyes slightly dimmed.

"No!" Leo blurted in surprise. "You're not alone!"

"And certainly not stupid!" Donnie scolded, scowling at Mikey.

"You mess up a lot, true, but it's not the end of the world Mikey!" Raph argued, feeling angry that even as a baby, Mikey thought of himself this way.

"They are right, my son. You are not stupid and never alone. We love you very much." Splinter smiled as Mikey looked happy.

"Yea, we love you very much…" Leo agreed. Donnie and Raph nodded, feeling a little embarrassed. "Don't forget it."

"Okay!" Mikey chirped happily. "Brudders no forget ever either, kay?"

"Okay Mikey." Donnie laughed softly. "Now let's watch this movie, okay?"

"Yesh!" Mikey agreed, smiling as he snuggled close to his Father. Leo began the movie as Raph grabbed the popcorn. Donnie had to fight Raph to get some while Leo successfully stole the bag of popcorn from him. Splinter and Mikey watched this in amusement, silently laughing to themselves.

Michelangelo was sitting in Leonardo's lap later that day. It was lunch and Donatello was helping their Father work. Raphael was sitting beside Leo.

"Want pizza!" Mikey complained, pounding his little fists on the table. Raph laughed at this and Leo rolled his eyes.

"We have to wait for it to bake Mikey." Donnie sighed, while taking a seat across from Leo. "It's in the oven okay?"

"How long?" Mikey asked, feeling confused.

"About 12 more minutes, my son." Splinter smiled as he turned to look at his sons. "Be patient."

"This is Mikey we're talkin bout Sensei." Raph smirked and Mikey pouted, laying his head on the table in defeat. Donnie and Leo chuckled while Leo rubbed his tiny shell.

"Be nice Raphael." Splinter warned and Mikey smirked this time, but he looked tired.

"Maybe you should take a nap after this Mikey…" Leo observed while smiling a little. Mikey suddenly shook his head. "You don't wanna try?"

Mikey shook his head again. "I wanna stay up with brudders, please?"

"It's already 5pm, Mikey. You haven't had a nap since 10 am, if you don't sleep now you won't till bedtime." Donnie said while putting his chin in his hand. Mikey blinked.

"That okay. Eat pizza and stay with brudders." Mikey smiled and Donnie sighed softly but smiled back.

"That's okay only if it is okay with your brothers…" Splinter looked up expectantly.

"Sure, why not?" Raph shrugged and grinned when Mikey beamed. Leo sighed, he was defeated in the motion anyway so he nodded. Mikey squealed and hugged Leo, forcing a blush out of him.

"It is ready, my sons." Splinter announced with a small smile. His whiskers twitched at the heat as he took the pizza out and set it on top of the stove, effectively turning the oven off.

"Yess!" The boys cried in delight, forcing a laugh from the old rat. He cut up the pizza, dividing it equally between himself and them. He cut the pizza into small parts for his youngest and set the plates in front of them. Leo's plate was bigger because Mikey's small pizza parts was on it as well.

"It is hot Michelangelo, so wait a couple minutes." Splinter warned and Mikey nodded, a look of determination on his face. Splinter sat by Donatello and smiled.

"Why brudders goin?" Mikey asked, clenching his duck taped teddy bear. Splinter was now meditating/resting in the dojo. The guys were geared up and ready for their nightly patrol. They still did this because they always did it and mainly to keep a track on the Kraang or Shredder, to make sure Mikey and Splinter were safe at the lair.

"We are going on patrol Mikey." Leo told him softly, kneeling to be eye level. "Sensei is in the dojo if you need him okay?" Mikey's lip quivered.

"Brudders going to be okay, right? Not hurt like last time?" Mikey asked, looking pointedly at Donnie, where the bandage on his thigh used to be. Donnie blinked in surprise.

"We won't let anything happen to Donnie, okay?" Leo smiled. Mikey blushed and moved his feet round. "Or Raph, or myself, okay?"

"Ya, just watch ya Tom n Jerry and wait HERE for us!" Raph scowled while crossing his arms. Mikey smiled slightly and nodded. Leo smiled and stood.

"Don't worry buddy, we will be back very soon." Donne smiled encouragingly. With that in mind, Mikey smiled more and nodded.

They waited until he was distracted by the cartoon to leave. Once they were gone Mikey turned and looked at the turnstiles sadly. Then he sighed.

Splinter was trying to meditate but he felt distress from his youngest son. He blinked his eyes open and darted into the lair. He sighed in relief when he saw Michelangelo, planted probably too close to the TV. The obnoxious cartoon was blaring but Mikey was distracted.

He knew Michelangelo was worried about his brothers going on patrol and it was really cute. He was happy to know that his family was so strong, that his sons cared so much about each other and protected each other. Splinter couldn't help but think that the situation was meant to happen. Meant to strengthen them through Michelangelo.

"My son, do you-" Splinter cut himself off when he noticed the way his baby son was cuddling his teddy bear. He was breathing evenly and softly. Mikey had fallen asleep.

Splinter smiled slightly, checking for the time. It was 8pm. He hadn't had a nap anyway, since that morning so he must be really tired from playing all day. He carefully scooped Mikey in his arms and set him on the bench silently. He knew Mikey wouldn't want to be alone in his dark room.

Splinter fetched his pillow and blanket and adjusted the TV's volume. He sat and stared at Michelangelo's form and sighed. "Sleep well, my son."

Michelangelo smiled softly as Splinter rubbed his head. The old rat smiled and stood upright, leaving his baby son to his dreams.

They wanted to hurry home. Something was telling them to hurry home. They had a run in with the Purple Dragons and it ended very badly for the dragons because they had insulted the group. 'Did the orange freak finally had enough of letting his team down?' Fong had laughed.

Raphael gritted his teeth as they ran through the tunnels of the sewers, trying to reach home as fast as they could. Leonardo shot Raph a look to calm down, so Mikey didn't see them so upset.

Donatello's fear gripped him as they ran, not sure why. Was it because they left Mikey for awhile? He was safe, safe with Splinter. So what was making them so anxious?

They all breathed heavily as they raced towards the turnstiles and hopped over them. They stopped at the bench shortly and collapsed in relief when they saw Mikey sleeping, a peaceful smile on his face.

They all stayed silent until their breathing evened out. Leo looked at his two younger brothers with wide eyes. "And..we were..worried why?"

"Cause that Fong is a-" Donnie clamped his large hand over Raph's mouth to keep him from cursing. Mikey stirred and they all froze. Leo put a finger on his beak and silently lifted Mikey in his arms. Mikey sighed and shifted a little but remained asleep.

"I'll take him to his room. Goodnight guys." Leo smiled, breathing out evenly. Donnie and Raph nodded tiredly. Leo rushed off to Mikey's room.

Donnie looked at Raph and sighed. "Goodnight Raph."

"Night Don.." Raph replied, stretching his muscular arms as he trotted off to his room. Donnie contemplated going to his lab but he was so exhausted. So with a sigh he actually went to his own room.

Leo smiled as he pulled the covers over Mikey. He had the pillows surrounding him so he didn't roll off the bed during the night. Leo was skeptical to leave him but he wanted to get some sleep himself tonight.

Leo kissed his brother's forehead. "I love you Mikey. Goodnight. See you in the morning." Leo smiled when Mikey mumbled in his sleep.

Leo turned and closed the door behind him. He walked to his own room slowly, looking at all his brothers' rooms first. He smiled softly and yawned, stretching his body. He turned and went to his own room, hoping to get the best sleep.

Mikey felt a sudden shiver wash over his body. He blinked his eyes opened and felt his stomach churn. He gagged softly while gripping the covers, seeing the pillows around him. His body was pounding all over, his muscles stretched.

Terrified, he tried to scream but nothing came out. Everything hurt. Pounding, stretching, burning. Hurt. Why? Why was he hurting?

Leo! Donnie! Raphie! Daddy! Someone! Please help! His mind screamed as hot iron pain flared through his body and he twitched uncontrollably. Please! Please stop! Help!

Mikey hurt so bad he couldn't concentrate. Couldn't feel the tears beyond the fire that spread through his body.

Eventually, although it seemed slow, the pain engulfed him and black spotted his vision. He finally didn't feel anymore as he felt like he went to sleep.

"You….it!" Donatello woke slowly and groaned, pulling the covers over his head. When his two older brothers wouldn't stop arguing he drug himself out of bed. He walked out the door, feeling annoyed.

Raph and Leo were at the TV with Space Heroes blaring. Donnie walked closer, rubbing one eye and could smell tea brewing in the kitchen, which meant Sensei just woke up.

"Hey guys, could you quiet down?" Donnie asked trying to suppress a yawn. Raph and Leo turned to him, surprised.

"Oh, Don's up!" Raph smirked while he pushed pat Leo. Leo glared and rubbed his shoulder. "How'd ya sleep?"

"Okay…ish.." He replied and saw that Mikey was not up yet.

"We just woke up." Leo grinned, noticing Donnie looking around. "I was going to get Mikey but Sensei said he needed to get some more sleep since it's only 7:43."

"Oh, are we training?" Donnie asked rubbing the other eye.

"Hell yea dude!" Raph grinned eagerly, looking towards the dojo. "Let's go already!" Raph grabbed Donnie around the neck and they both wrestled to the dojo. Leo laughed and followed closely by, hearing their Sensei.

They walked in the dojo and saw their Sensei sitting on the ground, drinking tea. "Good morning, my sons." Splinter smiled while they lined up.

"Morning Sensei!"

"Today we will practice without weapons because you may not always have a weapon to defend yourselves." He began eyeing each of his sons. "Begin with your usual stretches."

"Hai Sensei!" They shouted while Raph pushed Donnie down to stand up first.

"Raph!" Donnie scowled and Leo rolled his eyes but got in his positions. Donnie ignored them both and did the same while Raph grinned until he noticed Splinter glaring at him. He quickly got in formation and Splinter smirked.

He felt it when he eyes opened slowly, sleep clouding them. He blinked slowly and stood upright, his whole body aching a little. He groaned and sat up in his bed, somehow he'd gotten himself tangled in the covers and was laying slantways on the bed.

'What happened last night?' Michelangelo thought as he shifted his body uncomfortably. He only remembered falling asleep, the pain…why did he feel pain?

Mikey looked around, feeling weird and disoriented. He decided his brothers would know what was going on so he untangled himself best he could, feeling sore for some reason. "Stupid blankets…work with me!" He grunted. He paused when he saw his mask on the bed, just crumbled up and he touched his face.

Sighing, he grabbed the orange bandana and tied it around his eyes and then sat up. He only took one step when he tripped and landed half on the ground with a soft thud, holding onto the bed. He noticed that he wasn't wearing any of his gear and he blinked in surprise.

"What the.." Mikey looked and saw his gear piled up on the shelf above his bed. Sighing in relief he pulled on all his gear and tightened his elbow pads.

Opening the door softly, Mikey peered out and saw none of his brothers, thought he TV was blaring with cartoons. His brothers must be in the dojo. So why did they not wake him up?

Frowning, Mikey trudged out of his room lazily, feeling very tired and sore, like he just got a beat down from Raph himself. Mikey looked around the room and looked to the dojo with his eyes half open. Maybe he could get away with not training this morning? Pfff...yeah right!

He heard them sparring and looked into the entrance. Donnie was sparring with Leo against Raph while Splinter observed. None of them seemed to see him.

And as he stared at his brothers he suddenly stood upright, his eyes widening. 'Wait…was I..?' Mikey thought hard and didn't have to think long.

Splinter was watching his sons spar with each other, finally taking down Raph together, who was steaming while Leo and Don smirked victoriously. He felt his youngest son's presence and his confusion.

He smiled as he turned, expecting to see his baby son there but he saw his old Michelangelo standing there, suddenly gaping at them like he was caught doing something wrong.

"Sensei, did you see the way I..-Sensei?" Leo asked when he saw his Father staring at the door with wide eyes. Donnie and Raph stopped arguing when they heard Leo. The boys couldn't see Mikey from where they were.

They walked over and looked out the door. Mikey stood there and blinked in surprise when he looked into all of his brothers' eyes. Their eyes widened and their mouths dropped.

"Mikey!" Donnie was the first to act, grabbing his baby brother and hugging him close. "You're back!"

Mikey looked at Leo and Raph but directed his attention to Donnie. "Uh, yeah…" He smiled, hugging Donnie back. Leo and Raph rushed to their sides.

"How did this happen?" Raph asked looking shocked.

"Did you change while we slept?" Leo asked touching Mikey's arms. Donnie stood back a little because Raph and Leo were crowding.

"Change?" Mikey looked slightly confused. Leo looked at Don and Raph with wide eyes. "I dunno dude, but last night hurt a lot." Don frowned worriedly.

"Are you still hurting? What hurts?" He asked immediately. Mikey shrugged, trying not to let them know how sore he felt.

"Not really, nothing hurts." Mikey smiled, looking behind them at Splinter, who had moved closer.

"My son, it is nice to see you returned to your normal state." He smiled back and rubbed his head. He turned to Leo, who was still gawking a little. "Someone should inform April and Casey."

"Uh, yeah, I'll let them know to come, it's Saturday right?" Leo asked and Donnie nodded. Leo rushed off to find his T-Phone.

"We should let Leatherhead know too, since he knows." Donnie explained while eyeing Mikey. Mikey just smiled and looked at Raph.

"Right, uh, I'll go get him." Raph said rushing out the lair. Donnie turned to Mikey again.

"Mikey, I'm so sorry, do you remember the mutagen falling on you in my lab?" He asked frowning worriedly. Mikey blinked.

"Oh, yeah dude! That was totally not your fault." Mikey smiled as he patted Donnie's shoulder. "Thanks for taking care of me though." Donnie blushed.

"How…how much do you remember..?" He asked and Mikey opened he mouth to say something. Leo returned.

"Okay April and Casey are on their way." Leo said as he took in Mikey's appearance again. "They are happy you're back."

"Thanks bro!" Mikey laughed while grabbing Leo and hugging him. Leo blushed. "It's good to be back! Was I a lot of trouble?" His eyes sparkled.

"Yes!" Donnie and Leo blurted together and Mikey laughed, holding his stomach.

"You always were a handful." Splinter commented while smiling. Mikey beamed like it was a compliment.

"Ah dudes, I'm so hungry!" Mikey complained while holding his stomach.

"Right, food! You need food, be right back!" Donnie yelled and rushed off to the kitchen. Mikey's eyes widened.

"Dude, are you guys okay?" Mikey asked laughing nervously. Leo laughed a little.

"Nothing, we missed you that's all. Donnie took the change harder than anyone." Leo explained and Mikey looked towards the kitchen.

"I'll go talk to him!" Mikey smiled as he rushed off. He looked into the kitchen to see Donnie looking around confused, pushing aside the baby cups. Mikey stared at his brother before approaching him. "Donnie?"

"Oh, Mike, I have no idea what you might want to eat.." Donnie sighed as he opened the fridge. "Do you want pizza? Probably, or maybe you want eggs, or maybe-"

"D, stop talking." Mikey rolled his eyes and grabbed his brother's arm, pulling him away from the fridge. "I can get myself something, thanks though. You don't have to worry."

Donnie looked down and away from Mikey. "You promise you feel okay?"

"Yeah," Mikey smiled while hugging Donnie. "Thanks bro."

"No problem…" Donnie smiled hugging him back hard. Mikey was about to open his mouth to say something about him being a baby when Leo interrupted again.

"They're here!" Leo called and both of them jumped and then blinked at each other.

"Woah that was fast!" Mikey giggled as he let go of Donnie to see April and Casey. As soon as he rounded the kitchen he smiled when April looked at him eagerly.

"Mikey!" She cried as he ran up and hugged him. Mikey laughed and hugged her back. Casey came up and smiled, socking him in the arm.

"Hey Casey." He smiled and then looked around them, seeing Raph rush back in with Leatherhead. His face brightened as he broke the hug with April. "LEATHERHEAD!"

Mikey flung himself in a hug at his best friend, who caught him and gasped as they tumbled to the ground. Mikey laughed excitedly and rubbed his head on Leatherhead's chest. "Buddy, how are you?! I missed you!"

"Michelangelo, I am so glad you are yourself again." Leatherhead smiled as he sat up straight. Mikey let him go and smiled like he couldn't help it.

"So, do you remember anything?" April asked smiling. Mikey turned to her and was about to say something.

"I wouldn't want him to forget anything, like Raph blushing so much and acting like a softy." Casey teased. Raph twitched and glared at Casey.

"Oh yeah? Well you were blushing and snuggling him too!" Mikey held up a hand to tell them he remembered when he stopped, noticing how his brothers were reacting.

Casey gasped and blushed angrily. April laughed. "Not to mention Leo practically squished Mikey every day!"

"April!" Leo gasped and blushed hard. All were laughing and Mikey just looked at Leatherhead with a smirk.

"And we had to change your diapers! AAHAHA!" Raph laughed hard and Mikey narrowed his eyes, blushing when all his family laughed.

"Stop it!" Mikey argued while Raph chuckled and poked his beak. "Raaaph!"

"Oh my god, do you remember when he did the superhero thing?" April asked Donnie, who was grinning and nodding while Mikey blushed and tried to escape Raph's arms around his shoulder.

"Or Raph's face when Mikey ran off to find a new turtle for Raph." Leo added on and grinned when Raph glared at him to shut up. Mikey laughed and finally wrenched away.

"Freedom!" Mikey cried while rushing around the lair. Leatherhead and Splinter looked at each other and chuckled.

"But you guys were so cute together!" April gushed on. "Like you all spent so much time with him and everything!" Mikey stopped rushing and turned, his eyes bright and a smile on his face. All his brothers blushed.

"We don't know what you're talking about!" They shouted. Mikey laughed, they were freaking out and Mikey didn't have the heart to tell them he remembered everything now.

"So do you remember anything that happened while you were a baby Mikey?" Casey asked curiously while April teased the guys, mainly because he'd be embarrassed if Mikey knew he hummed him a lullaby.

"I have no idea what you guys are talking about!" Mikey laughed while he watched his brothers and Casey practically deflate with relief, but smiles were on their faces. "I'm gonna get a sandwich now!" With that he turned and began walking towards the kitchen, hearing his family talk.

And he was glad they didn't see his warm knowing smile.

A week later

"BOOYAKASHA!" Mikey screamed as he unleashed his nun-chuck fury upon the Kraang. It had been a week since the incident of Mikey's mutation and they had an edge because the Kraang did not know Mikey was back to normal.

Pieces of robots and brains flew everywhere, making Raph laugh even in his own fight. Leo looked behind him, trying to keep his composure serious until a brain thing went whirling past his head. Don saw this and Leo's reaction and burst out laughing where he stood at the computers.

They were at an abandoned warehouse, something the Kraang were using in the meantime of finding a new base of operations. Donnie had first discovered this when he and Raph went to the dump to find old software to use on his computer. Leo had been the one to make the plan of course and Mikey was ecstatic to be with his bro's again, out in the field.

"Can't touch this!" Mikey sung in a high voice as he danced around the droids, slinging his nunchuku in sweet revenge for when he was taken. His bro's still don't know he remembers everything and Mikey likes it that way. Ever since he changed back he noticed that they all pay more attention to him and hang out with him. man. he should be a baby more often!

"Focus Mikey!" Leo smiled behind him, betraying his seriousness. Mikey laughed and jumped over a droid to land beside his oldest brother.

"But bro don't suck all the fun outta this!" Mikey giggled.

"Yeah, it's the first serious fight he's had in almost 2 months!" Raph grinned as he sent one robot flying into the other. Mikey grinned back at Raph and used his kasrigama chains to swing at other enemies while Leo and Raph fought back to back.

Donnie sighed as he finally broke the code and erased the blueprints for the Kraang's latest weapon. He went to tell the others when Raph was sent flying into the ground in front of him. "Woah!"

"Damn droid! Yer gonna get it now!" Raph growled while Donnie just rolled his eyes and helped Raph fight off the other droids that were trying to break them away from each other. Leo noticed this. They were trying to separate them so it was easier to hurt and capture them.

Leo looked and saw Raph with Donnie, meaning they were good. Leo had to get to Mikey. He saw his baby brother laughing a few paces away from Raph, swinging his weapons skillfully. Leo used his katana blades to cut closer so he could be closer to all his brothers.

Mikey whirled around and sent one droid into the one's Don was having difficulty with. Donnie gave him a grateful smile and Mikey giggled. Raph looked at Mikey and rolled his eyes, punching one droid and kneed him in the head. "This is awesome!"

All his brothers simultaneously smiled or shook their heads. Mikey whirled around again and stuck his tongue out. "How you like me now, Kraang?!"

"Leo, I got *kick* the plans erased!" Donnie yelled as he kicked another droid. Leo looked behind him for a second before doing a roundhouse kick.

"We should go now, before they alert others!" Leo ordered. Raph and Mikey groaned.

"C'mon dudes, I don't wanna go yet-" Mikey protested and felt something behind him. He quickly whirled around but a moment too late. A droid used his gun to shoot Mikey in the shoulder, but it grazed the top of it thanks to Mikey's agile . "Ah!" Mikey tripped over multiple droid parts.

"Mikey!" His brothers yelled. Raph wasted no time in throwing his sai right into the droids face. Leo blocked more Kraang from coming and Raph kept up the rear while Donnie knelt next to Mikey.

"I'm okay." Mikey smiled at Donnie as he searched for the burn. "Just a burn. It doesn't hurt..." He stopped when he noticed the angry almost feral look in all his brothers, like when Raph though Leatherhead was hurting him. "guys?"

"RAHH!" They yelled grabbing and punching, kicking, flipping, stabbing the droids around them. Mikey was stunned as he watched the last droid shut down and the brain retreat to heaven outside. All his brothers were breathing deeper than normal and shaking as they glared around, daring anything to move.

"D-Dudes?" He asked, his voice full of surprise. Then his brothers surrounded him.

"Are you alright?" Leo asked investigating the burn. Mikey flinched when he touched it. Raph growled angrily.

"What was that Mikey? Why did ya let them shoot you?"

"I didn't let them shoot me!" Mikey protested as Donnie put a cold compress he seemed to randomly pack in his bag. He flinched again and Don gave him a small smile. "Dudes, what the heck was that? You annihilated them just because they burned me!"

Leo and Raph blinked in surprise so it was Donnie that answered calmly. "Exactly. They hurt you."

"But...but you guys never got that mad before..." Mikey replied, very confused. It got really silent for a few minutes as Donnie packed up. No one saying anything.

"We could of lost you..." Leo spoke up, looking down with anger. "You remember we told you that you got captured as a 'baby', well it could of been so easy for them to hurt you...kill you..." Leo looked at Don and Raph who shared the same look of anger and guilt. "We won't let them get that close again."

Mikey shifted, thinking over the words. His bro's cared so much now. "Thanks bros. I know you got my shell." They looked a little more relieved. "But you gotta seriously take a massive chill pill." he turned to Donnie. "Got one of those in that bag, bro?"

They all then started to blurt out laughing and Mikey smiled. "It's going to be okay now bros...just don't get that mad again...it's kinda scary."

It was Leo who found the will to stop laughing and grip Mikey's good shoulder hard. "Anything for you baby brother."
