5 Years Later

I pulled up to Charlie's house and sighed, I was late and I felt bad. I shut the engine off as the front door opened and a mass of brown curls came bounding out.
"Mommy!" Gwen squealed as she launched herself at me and I laughed.
"Hey, baby girl." I placed a kiss on her cheek as I carried her back into the house. "Did you have a fun time with daddy?"

"We baked cakes!"

"Really? Can I have one?" Gwen nodded her head and I set her on the ground, watching as she bounded into the kitchen. I shut the door and followed her . Charlie was sat at the table, and he smiled as I walked in. Gwen grabbed a cupcake and held it out for me.
"Thanks, baby." I smiled as I pulled the cupcake wrapper off. "Happy birthday Charlie. Sorry I'm late."
"Thanks Leah, as long as your here that is all that matters."
"Gwen bounced around the kitchen as me and Charlie made small talk, the both of us just happy to watch our little girl run around. Gwen had grown up to be a beautiful little girl, I was so blessed to have her as my little girl.
Once Gwens sugar high had worn off, Charlie put her to bed, so that the two of us could talk before I took us home. I took two beers out the fridge and went into the living room, pulling out the present I had bought Charlie from my bag and setting it on the coffee table.
"She's out like a light." Charlie said with a smile as he sat down next to me.
"I hope she wasn't too much trouble, she was ever so excited this morning when I dropped her off."
"She keeps me young," He laughed, "I love that little girl."
"She idolizes you." I took a swig of beer.
It was becoming increasingly difficult to drag Gwen away from Charlie's house after she had spent the day there. She was beginning to question why I still lived with my mom and brother and not with Charlie, and I was dreading the day she would finally ask what went on between us.
I had to admit, saying no to Charlie when he ask me to marry him was one of the most horrible things I did. I didn't think I was ready to marry him, it had only been 6 months and though he had changed, it was too soon. Of course, things between us was a little strained, but it didn't last long, we just refused to talk about it. I loved Charlie, I'm not denying that, but he had hurt me dearly.

"As long as I have you and Gwen, then I'm happy." Charlie gave a smile.
"Here. I bought you something." I motioned to the packages on the table.
"Thanks." He unwrapped the paper from the largest present and smiled. "It's perfect."
I had wrapped a photo of him and Gwen on a fishing trip, when he had tried to show her how to reel in a catch. Every time I saw the picture I laughed, Gwen looks so funny. Charlie picked up the envelope and gasped, inside was a return ticket to Alaska.
"For you to visit Bella."
I knew he was missing Bella, she had moved with the rest of the Cullen when people began to question Nessie. Jacob wasn't happy about it, but he went with them and with the Cullen money behind him, he was able to visit Billy as often as he wanted.

"Leah, you didn't have to do this." He whispered as he stared at the tickets.

"I wanted to." I replied, and it was true. I wanted to see him happy.

"Thank you, but where are yours and Gwens?"

"It's for you Charlie, not for all of us."

Charlie leaned over and kissed me, it was only a small peak but as he pulled back I crashed my lips to his. God I missed him. We broke for some air and I could see the shock on Charlie's face and my heart sank, I had made the wrong move.

"I'm sorry..." I stood up, feeling like a complete idiot.

"Wait, Leah." He grabbed my arm and pulled me around to face him. "Don't go. Stay the night?"

Before I could answer Charlie crashed his lips to mine in a searing kiss, I let out a moan as my arms wrapped around his neck. God, I loved him, I always had.

Charlie broke the kiss and took me by the hand leading me up the stairs and to his bedroom. Nothing had changed in the 6 years since I was last in here. The walls were still white, his bed still sat in the middle of the room. Even his clothes still lay across the old chair in the far corner of the room. The door shut and we stood there looking at each other, both of us knowing what we wanted but both of us not in any rush to get it over with.

This time we were going to savour every little bit.

Charlies hand cupped my face as he moved in closer, my eyes closed as Charlie kissed my forehead, my cheeks, my eye lids and then my lips. As he kissed down my throat my head rolled back and a hum left my mouth. The trail of tiny kisses made its way back to my lips and I eagerly responded to him. Warm, experienced hands made short work of the buttons on my blouse and the clasp of my bra before those same hands lightly traced the curves of my breasts. I was panting by the time Charlie had began kneading my breasts, and I couldn't stop the noises coming from my mouth.

I was lying on the bed, watching as Charlie pulled my panties down. I wanting him, right now, fuck foreplay. Charlie had a different idea as he kissed his way up my legs, which were spread as wide as they could be. His breath fanned my pussy as he looked at me, a small smile graced my face. I was his, I always had been. My eyes closed as Charlies lips latched into my clit and my hips lifted up off the bed.

"God, I love you!" I cried out. Charlie pulled away and hovered over me, a strange look in his eyes.

"I love you too." He said as he slowly entered me.

I let out a yell as he filled me up, it had been too long since I last had sex, way too long. As Charlie set a slow, loving pace, I was flooded with pleasure. I was swept away in the moment, and I was sure I was too loud, but I didn't care. As my orgasm hit me, I kept chanting 'I love you' over and over, and Charlie collapse on me moaning the same as we both lost all our energy.

"Shit, Leah." Charlie whispered as he rolled off me.

"Sorry it took me so long." I moved my head onto his chest and idly drew patterns with my finger.

"Does this mean you'll marry me?" he asked hopefully

"Yes, I'll marry you. Happy birthday Charlie."

Curled up in Charlies arms, I knew that I was going to be happy. I wondered briefly if this was my version of imprinting, if Charlie was meant to be mine from the start.

It didn't matter now though, I was here, I was his. Together, the three of us were going to be the happiest family we could ever dream.
