Volume 1 - The Beginning

Chapter 1: The Letter from the Imperial City

I AM BEYOND WHICH THAT IS and IS NOT.

He was born out of Love. A son of a lost world, a survivor, a friend to some, an enemy to others.

He is there whenever the dream needs Him. A guardian, a leader. Some see Him as too idealistic. For others, too cynical. But He is constant, never changing, ever watchful, always ready.

He is the Guardian of the Dreamer.

Who in turn dreams of where Change and Stasis meet.

And in between, the Wheel ever turning.

Eight components of Chaos.

Solidified by Time. Static change.

Formed in a circle, like a wheel, and like most things inexplicable, it is a circle, as it is constant, never changing, ever turning.

Circles are confused serpents, striking and striking and never given leave to bite.

And from the Outside, it is a cycle ever spinning. Infinity. Wholeness. A wheel ever turning.

A serpent consuming itself to sustain itself. Creating while Destroying ever so.

But look at this glorious creation sideways and all you will see is the Tower, however, look above and at its center, all you will see is a hole.

In that hole, the second serpent, womb-ready for the Right Reaching, to exact without enchantment, to create for the sake of creating something without the feeling of great pleasure, ultimately failed.

Failed so that you may not.

And when all is said and done.

When you have reached it.

You will see the Second Serpent's failure as the Greatest Gift.

You must know Love and be selfish, so that you may assert yourself and say, "I AM".

Why Love?

Love is the key.

Know Love to prevent which that will come.

Be selfless and create through Love.

To you who are all inside this dream, this is a message from the Outside.

Understand Love to see beyond.

I ARE ALL WE.

COME TO THE HOUSE OF WE.

Realize.

I AM AND I ARE ALL WE.

ONE WORLD IN SPIRIT I AM.

And you shall give birth to the Nu-Man to prevent which that will come.

=Uzumaki Grand Manor Office, The Gold Coast: Fredas, 4th of Rain's Hand, 2E 582=

"My Lord, a raven came from the Imperial City, it bears the sigil of the Dragonguard," an Imperial soldier, and by his armor, he is a Centurion.

"Hmm? Is it from the Drake of Blades?" The soldier shook his head and gave the man sitting behind a sturdy Imperial desk.

"It's from Lady Valritte Kjaeldsen, Lord Naruto."

"Give to me." Without hesitation, the soldier gave him the scroll and excused himself from the office before closing the door behind him.

"Valritte… you really have a way of pissing me off…" he muttered in anger before opening scroll to read its contents.

Dear Naruto,

I write this in haste inside the Arboretum, and by the Eight it is filled with Daedra! In fact, the whole city is filled with them! And that Dark Anchor over the White-Gold Tower is horrid to look at, gives me shivers whenever I look at it.

But before I lose myself in talking about how many soldiers of the Three Alliances outside the City and Daedra inside the City I killed, I must tell you why I am here.

I received a message from one of the Dragonguard agents inside the city that there are still many civilians hiding in the buildings around, so I opted to go and find these civilians and send them through the sewers that lead on the shores of Rumare.

But, Mannimarco… one day, that piece of shit will pay for this, and that Abnur Tharn… what a coward, but then, I could understand why he did what he had done.

Anyway, that Altmer necromancer knows that I am in the city and you know very much that he doesn't like me, and if the city was crawling with Daedra then, now, it's like I'm in Coldharbour itself. My secret entrance was found and guarded by the Xivkyn, not just the normal Dremora, but Xivkyn.

He's actively hunting me and Auri-El knows how many times they've succeeded, I've no way of leaving this accursed city.

I am not asking for help, not this time.

This is my fault for not listening to you, I'm sorry I disobeyed you, but then, it's just like back then, when you, me, and Ayrenn journeyed around Tamriel before all of this started.

Heh, speaking of which, remember the day Ayrenn rode that bear? That was truly fun. Me, you, Raz, and Ayrenn having fun, but alas, those days are long gone.

They're closing in my position, I hope this letter reaches you.

Once again, I am heartily sorry. I hope I can meet you again. Farewell.

P.S. The Raven that sent this letter was a familiar that I created, so, if it vanishes, then I'm probably dead.

"Shit…" the letter fell from his hand and landed on his desk. Naruto leaned back on his soft chair and sighed in anger.

"Centurion Marcus!" He shouted, and a few moments later, the same soldier entered the room and stood in full attention.

"Send word to every single base we have across Tamriel and tell them that they are being mobilized to prepare to fight back against Molag Bal," he ordered as he stood up from his desk, taking the letter and placing it inside his pocket.

"And also, tell them that I'm going to be missing for a while, and I could pop out in one of our bases in all the sudden, and quite possibly, call them into battle. Understood?" The soldier nodded and ran out of the office, to send the message of their Magus-General to their other bases, or as the soldiers of the Uzumaki Legion jokingly calls them: Lord Naruto's Prime Real Estate.

"Kurama, this is a pain in the ass…"

"That girl… Valritte, you think she's still alive?" A deep voice asked him from inside his head.

"Probably, as the raven is still alive, Marcus would tell me if it vanished, but if the latest report of the Drake of Blades is true… Mannimarco will sacrifice her soul to Molag Bal just like many others before her, and if I guess right, to become a Soul Shriven in Coldharbour," he answered, looking at a portrait hanging on the wall beside another few.

"That portrait was from Skyrim wasn't it?"

The said portrait showed three people sitting inside an inn with mugs of ale on their hands. One of them is Naruto, wearing a leather armor, with a quiver full of arrows on his back and bow slung on his shoulder, a sword sheathed on his left side, and on his right side sat a woman in her middle 20s, blue eyes, pointed ears, and pale gold skin with long flaxen hair braided to her back to prevent it from interfering battle, she was covered in a brown fur cloak, but she wore a leather armor inside.

This woman would become known as the Unforeseen Queen.

Queen Ayrenn Arana Aldmeri. But to Naruto, she will always be 'the girl with a stubborn streak longer than the distance between Necrom and Daggerfall'.

Lastly, the third person with them is a woman of same age, sans the flaxen hair as this one has a long auburn hair that has the sides gathered loosely to a ponytail, with a silver circlet above her brow, green eyes, pointed ears, a small scar on her lip, and white skin with a little mix of gold, and just like Ayrenn, she has a fur cloak covering her body and wore a similar attire to Naruto and Ayrenn.

She is Valritte Kjaeldsen, daughter of an Altmer mage and Nord warrior, a half-elf, a battlemage of the Uzumaki Legion, and most importantly, Naruto's apprentice.

"Yeah, and that was a long time ago, when things are much simpler before Mannimarco sundered the veil between Nirn and Oblivion," he replied before going outside his office to the main gathering area, the lounge room of the manor.

His soldiers in their Imperial attires working on their desks, eating on the dining, reading books, or just guarding key places inside the manor, and in conclusion, everyone is busy doing their respective tasks. No one even noticed him leaving his office as he headed upstairs to his quarters to get himself ready.

"You, Valritte, and the then-Princess Ayrenn traveling the wild, fun times. Speaking of which, are you going to send Ayrenn a letter?" Kurama asked him as he entered his large, well-lit bedroom.

"And make her worry? Ayrenn has far too many burdens in her homeland already, I don't need to bother her with Valritte's situation. I'll deal with that myself."

"Alright, fine by me. So, we head to Coldharbour?" Kurama asked Naruto who first changed into his red tunic before putting on his greaves that were displayed on one of his armor racks.

"Yes."

He then took his sabatons sitting below the armor rack and put it in, followed by wearing the scale tunic around his torso and arms, before taking the cuirass from the rack and wore it. Next is that he secured the girdle around his waist before putting on his gauntlets and elbow guards on; lastly, he secured the pauldrons on his shoulders.

"You rarely put that armor on, you've always gone for the medium variant, not the heavy," Kurama stated while watching Naruto who was looking in the mirror by the wall.

"Well, there is a war going on and this armor isn't really clunky as those merchants in Kvatch thinks, this is enchanted for that very reason. Alright, I should probably secure my pouches on my girdle, as well as my scrolls for traveling… and the shuriken pouch on my right leg… and done."

Naruto then went to another side of his quarters and removed a specially forged and enchanted kanmuri-otoshi katana with its sheath from a display case and secured it on his left side, alongside a partnering tanto which he secured on his right side, followed by taking his arrow quiver and securing it on his back, then, he went on to take his brown cloak with fur collar from the wall hanger and wore it around him before standing by the mirror again.

His armor is very elegant with Imperial and oriental themes around it - the gold, and red color scheme are mixed perfectly, and at the center of his chest lies an etching of the Red Diamond, as the symbol of the Empire. Very ornate, much more than the other generals, second only to the ceremonial armor of an Emperor, but very practical and protective.

Nodding to himself quietly, he grabbed the bow with the dragon motif on its display and slung it around his shoulders.

"Your helmet," reminded by Kurama.

"Yeah, but I'm not wearing it yet, I'll just carry it with me." And that he did, as he removed his helmet from the armor rack and its ruby red horsehair vertical crest is its center of attention, as Imperial Generals uses this specific color of the crest and it's to mark their place on the field of battle.

"Ooh, where are you going?" A sultry voice came from the shadows of his room, making Naruto sigh to himself.

"Oblivion, but what are you doing here Naryu? Shouldn't you be doing writs for your organization?" He asked while he continued to prepare for his excursion without bothering to face the source of the voice.

"Oh please, don't pretend that you don't know anything darling," her soft voice replied in which Naruto took notice of her quieter tone and stopped what he was doing and looked behind to see what many calls 'the Beautiful Darkness'.

Dark hair, bluish-gray skin, red eyes, and pouty lips. Her curves are also on the right places; a seductress that can kill you before you even know it, and true to her epithet, she truly is beautiful and a sight to behold.

Naryu Virian. That is her name.

"So, what's wrong with the Beautiful Darkness?" Naruto nonchalantly dodged a throwing knife by leaning his head to side lazily.

"Stop calling me that," she said as she walked towards Naruto's bed.

"You love it," said Naruto before he continued to pack his things on his sealing scrolls.

"I hate it," she stated.

"But dear Naryu, you do love it," he emphasized with a teasing tone in which Naryu shook her head with a small smile.

"You're lucky I like you so much, or you'd be dead already," she flirtatiously said to him before they ended up laughing loud before they became quiet.

The two enjoyed the silence as Naruto quietly finished his preparations and remained quiet for some time before he broke it.

"What happened?" He asked, standing near her.

"Ugh… it's just the usual boring stuff that I do these days…" replied Naryu before she laid down on Naruto's bed while the latter decided to prepare more travel bags for his journey, which he will be putting on his horse or to be specific, a Psijic Exemplar - a very special kind of mount.

"Naryu my dear, as I've told you years ago, everyone and everything would face a downside in their life once in a while, and the status of the Morag Tong right now is just an example of it," said Naruto as he looked at the bags that he prepared and nodded to himself.

"And it is getting really, really boring," whined Naryu and it amused Naruto. To see a legendary assassin such as her whining like a child is terribly amusing.

"Heh, don't worry, everything will get better for your organization one day, just remember to do one step at a time," said Naruto and he prepared to leave the room.

"Wait." Naruto stopped on his tracks and looked back to see Naryu walking towards him.

"What?" But before anything, she pulled his head down and gave him a peck on his lips before immediately leaving the room by vanishing into the shadows.

"… Dunmer women…" Naruto sighed and with a flick of his fingers, all the source of light in his private quarters vanished.

=Uzumaki Grand Manor Courtyard=

Naruto stood outside of the manor and looked at the beautiful, but busy courtyard of his Gold Coast estate. There is a large rectangular pond in the middle of it, with four statues of unnamed Imperial knights standing guard on its four sides, with street lights lined on the cobblestone paths.

There are two different buildings on the courtyard, one being the stables on one side, and the other is the military barracks with a training yard, there, he saw soldiers doing their training. Looking up to the imposing walls that guard the estate, he saw archers doing routine patrols, as well as soldiers that maintain the siege weapons above the guard towers, just in case, the Alliance War reaches the Gold Coast.

Also, there are many military tents formed into a grid on one side as an extension of the barracks.

He walked past two guards who saluted at him as he went towards the stables carrying the travel packs with both of his hands.

Once inside, his right hand glowed with a mix of white and gold light, and suddenly, his mount appeared, lightly armored for long-distance travel. This is a Psijic Exemplar, theoretically, they represent the ideal forms such creatures can assume, at which point they transcend the physical and incarnate the mystical, and for Naruto, the noble Horse Exemplar is his personal mount.

He then secured the packs on the horse before dismissing the mount into its pocket dimension.

"Shall we?" Naruto asked his oldest friend and the mighty beast answered.

"We shall."

With that, Naruto opened a portal in front of him.

A portal to Coldharbour.

The Realm of Molag Bal.

A/N: And done! I hope I can do a better job on this one than the old one, and I hope you like it.

If you read carefully, the introduction was formed with the lines from the 36 Lessons of Vivec as well as the Loveletter From the Fifth Era, The True Purpose of Tamriel. So, if you haven't gotten it yet, I'm using Kirkbride's Lore as an inspiration while mixing it with what I have in mind.

But still, reading deeper inside Kirkbride's Lore makes my head hurt so much; just go and try read C0DA, I know I did. ;-)

A/N: The Uzumaki Grand Manor is the Grand Linchal Manor from the game and can be found on the Gold Coast Region with the Dark Brotherhood DLC.

Also, the date used (Fredas, 4th of Rain's Hand, 2E 582), is based on the original release date of The Elder Scrolls Online: 4th April 2014.

Choose carefully, because each alliance has their great characters which would have different opinions on Naruto. For example, with the Aldmeri Dominion, Queen Ayrenn is a very close friend of Naruto and Valritte, and she is voiced by Kate Beckinsale, and, we would interact a lot with the great Razum-dar.

With Daggerfall Covenant, well, we have the Darien Gauntier from the Lion Guard who has some great lines in-game, as well as Gabrielle Benele from the Mages Guild that you interact quite a lot if you play with DC, then, there's High King Emeric, great guy, and great lines, delivered by Bill Nighy.

Lastly, the Ebonheart Pact, there are quite a few Dark Elves there that are very beautiful, one of them is the one and only Naryu Virian, she's my favorite NPC, also, we get to meet the Goddess Almalexia, and sure as hell, Almalexia has a history with Naruto, after all, Naruto was a friend of Indoril Nerevar.

-Half-Altmer, Half-Nord - Full Altmer in Appearance with some mix of the Nord blood, hence the whitish skin

-She's basically the Unnamed Female High Elf Hero from the original cinematic trailer of the Elder Scrolls Online and the main character from the cinematic trailer of the Elder Scrolls Online: Summerset, so I don't need to put up the screenshot of how she looks in-game, but soon, I will.
