After braving the Ferris wheel and showing great restraint (in his own opinion) during the concert, Dean felt that he deserved a beer from the Roadhouse. As they neared the establishment Cas glanced over to him with a confused expression.
"Are we going to work Dean?"
Shrugging Dean replied, "Nah Cas, I just figured you'd be more comfortable here." He glanced over to the passenger seat and felt his stomach flip at the look on Cas's face. He wasn't beaming or laughing at Dean's choice in bar, Cas looked at Dean with gratitude and something close to…dare he say it…love? Nope nope nope way too soon, Dean dammit. He cleared his throat and focused back on the road, the back of his neck reddening slightly.
They pulled into the Roadhouse parking lot amongst a decent crowd of other cars. Dean couldn't resist taking Cas's slender hand in his own. There was something about Cas's long fingers that made Dean blush thinking of all the things he'd like to see them do. The pair passed a gaping Jo at the hostess stand and headed straight to the bar. Benny was working the bar that night and eyed their clasped hands as Dean sauntered up.
"Hey brotha, what'll it be?"
"Hey Benny," Dean replied giving Benny the quintessential bro-hug over the bar, "Two beers, if you please."
"Who's this?"
"Oh I forgot, you weren't here on his first day, Benny this is Castiel. Cas this is Benny he covers the bar a few nights a week."
"Pleasure to meet you cher." Benny reached his hand out and Castiel took it shyly. Dean looked over at the now closed off man curiously. Much to his relief Benny put down two beers and left to tend to other customers.
Dean cupped Cas's chin bringing his downcast face upwards, "Hey where'd you go?"
"I'm sorry Dean…I just…I'm bad with people. It's hard for me to open up to strangers. I know it can be uncomfortable introducing me to your friends. Many people are not that tolerant of this particular neurosis. If you want you can just drop me off, I know its not…"
"Hey, hey, hey! Angel come on, you're perfect…" He trailed off but instead of turning away sheepishly he kept contact with those blue pools. He wanted Cas to realize that he meant it. Blushing Cas put the bottle to his lips and took a long draught, Dean watching his Adam's apple bob as he swallowed deeply. All the while many pairs of watchful eyes were on the couple.
The evening wore on and many beers were had by the men, Castiel opening back up to how he was at the carnival. Ellen stopped by, inviting Cas to the next family dinner, which he blushingly agreed to. Jo took her turn, teasing Dean and making Cas blush. Ash was next slapping Cas on the back and whispering something that reddened his cheeks further. Not too much later, they made their exit, both having early mornings. Jo winked at Cas as they headed out and gave Dean a swift slap on the ass. Dean wouldn't have thought that Cas noticed at all if not for the brief glare that focused on Jo. It was gone as soon as it formed, just a quick narrowing of those eyes and a flash in them that almost made them seem like ice. Well that's an interesting development, Dean thought to himself, definitely could be useful in the future.
The drive to Castiel's dorm was quiet, comfortable, and much too short for Dean's liking. Hesitance flowed through him, battling the coursing thrum of anticipation. The car sat idle as both men debated their next actions.
"Cas I…"
Dean was cut off as Cas flung himself at Dean, lips crashing messily. They battled for dominance, tongues dancing against each other as an obscene moan was wrenched. Not a soul could have discerned from which man it sprang, and neither one gave a damn. Cas's hands roamed across broad shoulders and a solid chest. Tracing fingers down Dean's abdomen, he desperately sought to see if the green-eyed man was as responsive to the kiss as he himself seemed to be.
Dean groaned as those sinful slender fingers grasped his hardened length. He felt like a damn teenager again, at full mast just from kissing this man. Those talented fingers, evil fingers, he thought warmly, kept running up and down him. His jeans, already rather tight, were becoming almost painful over his straining cock. Dean sucked Cas's lower lip hard, the raven-haired man arching into him. He took advantage and trailed his kisses down his porcelain neck, leaving marks. Dean could tell that both of their arousals were peaked and his hands yearned to gain access to more of Cas's smooth skin.
A police siren's wail sounded a few blocks over and startled Dean out of his lust-filled haze. Holy fuck…this is exactly what I promised wouldn't happen. Can't even keep it in my pants for one date. Dammit! His pause caused Cas to look up at him curiously. Cocking his head with wide lust-blown eyes did nothing to help Dean's resolve.
"Cas, baby, I won't do this to you. I told you that I'm not in this just to get in your pants. So I'm going to walk you to your door and say goodnight." He planted one more kiss on Cas's stunned lips and quickly exited the Impala. Cas hadn't moved by the time Dean made it over to his side of the car. Opening the door, he bent down to eye level and grinned as Cas turned to look at him, the quizzical expression still fixed.
Dean grinned and took Cas's hand hauling him out of the car and up the sidewalk. Nothing was said between them yet Castiel kept a tight grip on his hand assuaging most of Dean's worries. At the entrance to the dorms, Dean couldn't help but pull Cas to himself once more kissing him deeply. When their lips parted he kept their foreheads pressed together.
"You have no idea how badly I want to drag you upstairs Angel," Castiel shivered feeling Dean's hot breath on his kiss reddened lips, "I'll see you tomorrow, okay?"
Cas grinned up at Dean, "Not as much as I'll be seeing of you." With that he winked and disappeared into the building.
(Just making sure it makes sense-if it's in italics it's the boys thoughts)
