Sorry for the really late update, I've had both exams and other massive tests as well as having to bring my grade in math from a D all the way back up to a B and maintaining A's in all the rest of my classes
He was gone; my brother is gone again after only a few minutes of fighting to save us. I looked to dad who glared back at me, an aura of disappointment and hatred surrounding him. He walked up to me, his rage forcing him into Super Saiyan two, grabbed the collar of my gi and lifted me into the air.
"You Idiot", he shouted. "You could have destroyed Cell at the beginning of the fight, but no, you had to play the avenger and torment Cell, giving him a chance to use his backup plan and to kill Gollen"!
"Kakarot calm down and think, you're about to kill the only son you possibly have left, what would that harpy of a wife think when she finds out that not only is one of her kids wiped from existence, but also that you killed HER other son because of it", said a very pissed off Vegeta.
"Well at least his sacrifice was in vain now wasn't it", we heard the mysterious voice as a yellow death beam pierced through the hearts of Goku and Trunks. I turned to and saw he was "perfect" once again. "Now, shall we resume our battle", he finishes calmly.
"It won't be much of a match", I reply slowly as Vegeta charges Cell in his newly achieved Super Saiyan 2 form. I could sense that Vegeta was still only about half my ki and would get tormented by Cell so I quickly joined the charge and we double teamed Cell, with the assistance of a golden, fourth form Kate, started to push Cell back only for both Vegeta and Kate to get blasted back, unconscious and in their base forms (Kate fell into her basic 4th form). I froze; nothing could prep me for the fact that Kate, a being that was twice my strength, was easily defeated. Cell began to laugh at me, and I knew why, I was weak, even Vegeta could have won this fight by now if he had just a tiny bit more power. Then a spark lit in my head, I could now feel a massive well of power that could rival and even crush Cell's power.
Before I could begin charging my power, a kamehameha imbedded itself into my left arm. Looking to Cell and falling to one knee, I began to cry, I was a failure, my brother died to protect me in vain and I failed again to beat Cell again.
"Fool, you can still fight, you still have that well of power inside of you, USE IT! Don't think of yourself as a failure, because you're not, stop Cell, don't let dad's death be in vain", I heard in my head
"Go-Gollen", I whimper out loud.
"Don't be sad Gohan, I'm not dead, and dad's death is not your fault. Stand and fight, you need to fight, Videl needs you to fight", shouted Gollen. His mention of Videl got me to stand, it brought back my courage. I prepped a Kamehameha with my one good arm still looking at Cell who was charging an attack that was painful to watch him use. All of Cell's now SSJ3 power had been funneled into a Ultimate Planet Destroyer beam to the point that if he missed me and the planet, Master Roshi could easily kill him. I released the full might of my blast at the quickly approaching the purple beam, the two bearing equal powers.
"Gohan quit holding back, even from here I can tell you aren't using your full power, the planet and the others can handle it but if you don't finish Cell now he will destroy the planet, FINISH HIM OFF", I heard Gollen shout into my head.
Instead of increasing the power of my attack I absorbed the ki in the blast back into my body, Cell's blast quickly reaching my outstretched hand and I absorbed a little bit of the energy using a technique Gollen taught me before he died, it's only good for absorbing a little bit of ki from a ki blast, but that little bit could be a saving grace. I kicked the blast up into the air and sent it out of the solar system to where the energy dispersed. I charged Cell and drove an elbow into his stomach and forcing him to revert to his first imperfect form, and then I vaporized him with a Super Planet Destroyer Beam.
"Let's go, we need to revive dad", I say, still in my SSJ2 form.
"Gohan, please calm down, you've won, you don't need to prove yourself to anyone", said a panicking Videl.
"Ha, sorry Videl, but unless I stay like this for now, I'll drop dead and you will have to wish for me back too", I reply.
"Then let's get you to the lookout quickly so Dende can heal you", announces Piccolo. It takes only about five minutes to reach the lookout and by then I have passed out and dropped from my SSJ2 into my basic super saiyan level. As Dende finally healed me, my friends summoned the dragon. Our first wish was to bring everyone who was killed by the androids, including Gollen, to be brought back to life; our second wish was to remove the bomb from the androids chests. On the way home, Goku told us asked us to not bring him back to life for the next year so he can both catch up to Gollen and I in power and to participate in an Other World Tournament that Gollen will also be participating in. I even just realized that I haven't seen Kj since the fight with the Cell Jr's (he was left to explain what had happened after the Cameras went out). As we arrived home we sensed a power that left the five of us both scarred and stunned, one that rivaled Gollen's SSj3, and it was one I would never forget; Broly, the legendary Super Saiyan.
Out of the Frying pan and into the fire.
