Keyara yawned as she stretched, trying to prevent her muscles from cramping. They had just traveled through Makna forest to reach the Valak Pass, and were setting up camp.

"Hey, Keyara?" a voice asked, and Keyara looked up to see Shulk.

"Yeah Shulk, what is it?" Keyara asked as he sat down beside her.

"I've been wondering. You and Alvis keep talking about long ago, about a separation? What's that all about?" Shulk asked, and Keyara sighed, so he finally brought it up?

"Well, since you asked, I've noticed that the others have seemed curious as well. Could you gather them all up?" Keyara asked, standing, and going to get Alvis while Shulk got the others.

Later: Keyara watched as everyone got themselves comfortable.

"Okay, so it's come to my attention that everyone is curious about the separation me and Alvis had been speaking about." Keyara said, and then Riki spoke.

"Riki is very curious. How did Keyara appear in Makna, and Alvis appear at Eryth Sea?" Riki questioned, jumping a bit.

"Everyone knows of Keyaras' ability to use Ether, correct?" Alvis questioned, and they all nodded.

"Well, back when the mechon attacked out colony, colony 12, me and Alvis got surrounded. I was still getting use to controlling ether, and I was planning on protecting use by using the ether to make a shield around us." Keyara stated, before Alvis gave a exasperated sigh.

"I still can't see how you gathered too much." Alvis said, giving her a skeptical look, and Keyara chuckled nervously.

"I was still learning, can't blame me for that." Keyara said, and Alvis raised an eyebrow, but let it slide.

"Anyways, I had gathered too much ether around me and Alvis, but I couldn't reverse the flow of ether. When a mechon struck at us, the ether field around us shattered with my concentration. The result was an explosion, and it caused the mechon to explode as well. The ether explosion, combined with the mechon explosion sent us spiraling upwards. I tried to gather ether around us to get us to safety, but I didn't collect enough this time, and tried to make it take us to safety, resulting in, yet, another blast." Keyara said, blushing in embarrassment.

"It sent my upward more, but blew Keyara into the back of the Bionis." Alvis finished, and Shulk tried wrapping his brain around the possibility of ether exploding.

"How can ether explode?!" Shulk shouted, making Keyara sighed.

"Anything can explode, even liquid's at points. Ether is both energy and liquid, and when the two meet an unbalance in the center, it caused them to explode." Keyara stated, and Shulk sighed, rubbing his forehead.

"I don't understand all this science stuff, but I at least now understand how ya two ended up in two different places." Reyn said, and Keyara leaned against the tree Alvis was leaning against, their arms touching.

"Well, all that matters to me is that we reunited." Keyara said, closing her eyes with a small smile.

"Yep, and now we can do more things together." Alvis said, giving Keyara a quick glance, before closing his eyes.

And hour passed before the two fell asleep, shoulders touching, Keyara with her head laying on Alvis' shoulder, and Alvis with his head leaning against Keyaras'. Everyone else had fallen asleep, except Dunban and Sharla would opted to stay on watch.

"Those two are oblivious to each others feelings, aren't they?" Sharla questioned, making Dunban nod.

"It sure seems that way. The make their separation sound like hell, and it probably was too them. We can't blame them for wanting to be inseparable, and we can't jump to conclusion's, but it probably does follow along the lines of a transforming friendship." Dunban observed, and Sharla nodded.

"Yeah, but let's hope things get better for them, and they realize their feelings." Sharla said, giving the Seer and Guardian a warm smile.
