"Ahhhh, Sam, get it off! Get it off!" Dean pained cry echoed around the cave, reverberating against the damp, slick walls.

Panting with exertion, Sam grasped the creature tighter and redoubled his efforts to pull it off his brother. Finally, with a great sucking sound, its tentacles released their hold, and Sam slammed it to the ground, torching it before it could wiggle away. Turning to Dean, he grimaced. The creature's numerous suckers had left bright red, strawberry-shaped wounds all over his chest and belly. Each one seeped a yellowish liquid. Venom.

"Hey, let's get you outta here..."

Through clenched teeth, Dean whispered, "Sounds like a good idea."

Sam wrapped an arm around Dean's shoulders and pulled him off his knees, ignoring for now the pained gasps Dean was fighting to silence. "C'mon, we'll be at the car and back at the motel in no time..."

Dean shuddered, his knees buckling. "Not soon enough." And with that his eye rolled back in his head and his body went slack.

"Damn it." Sam struggled to hoist Dean over his shoulders in a firemen's carry. "Sorry, bro, you're in for a rough 72 hours."
