Author's Note: Greetings fellow readers, I've been wanting to write a decent wolf among us fanfic and tada! Here it is! This fanfic will probably be more than ten chapters and all that jazz and mainly focus on Bigby's relationship with Snow. Also, I'm not familiar with the comics, just the game so everyone knows, and I will try to update as frequently as I can. However, keep in mind, that I am still a senior in high school and I am quite busy planning for my future. Anyway, I hope y'all enjoy this, and I'm still taking requests too so just send me a PM! Thanks!

Bigby Wolf could feel the icy air chapping his face as he stood outside his apartment building, inhaling the remains of another cigarette. Winter here, was always a bitch. And it was particularly cold that night, but still, sometimes Bigby enjoyed the numbing feeling of the cold air whipping against his body. It reminded him that he was still here, still alive and kicking. Ever since he solved the case with the crooked man a few months ago, it was like he was invisible. The rest of the fables seemed to be ignoring him, and they were doing a damn good job of it, because sometimes, it felt like Bigby wasn't even here at all. He felt so invisible the majority of the time. And yes, albeit he was still the sheriff, and he was still doing his job, the fables seemed to be oblivious to that fact. He thought that after he took care of the crooked man, things would be easier, but they got harder, and everything was so ass backwards these days.

It was like whatever Bigby did, he was still, and always would be the bad guy. It didn't matter if he did bring the crooked man to trial, the fables would still find a way to make him look bad; they would still find a reason to hate him. And even if he didn't send Colin and the others to the farm, Snow White would still be mad at him for letting them stay. It was always the same shit, just a different day. Bigby Wolf would never win. And speaking of Snow, she and Bigby hadn't had a decent conversation ever since she became deputy mayor. Of course, they talked about business related subjects because they worked together, but it just didn't feel the same anymore. Hell, even though they weren't that close before, they were still good at making small talk with one another, and at least attempting to be friendly towards each other.

But now, everything was different. Bigby felt as though he couldn't even make eye contact with the woman, because when she did look at him, those icy blue eyes pierced him. It was like she was looking at him with pure disgust, pure hatred, and he couldn't take it. A woman that he thought of so fondly before, couldn't even stand to be in the same room with him anymore. It was hell. Just when the Wolf thought things were improving, it all went to shit, every single thing. He was even hoping that they could have a future together, because Snow was really the only woman that he truly cared about, and now he had lost her. Lost her because of his own stupid actions.

The big bad wolf took another drag on his huff and puff cigarette, and exhaled the smoke. He hated days like this; days where he just sat and wallowed in his own damn self pity. But that was most days now. If he didn't have anything to occupy his time, he just consumed himself in his thoughts, and that really wasn't helpful for his state of mind. Bigby tried to be a better person, but most of the time, he failed. Often times, he figured he was just misunderstood, but when he really put his mind to it, and thought about it, Bigby learned that he was just not compassionate enough for other people. Well, except for Snow, he'd always make an exception for her.

The wind whipped once more, and Bigby actually shivered at the coldness of the night. He threw his cigarette on the ground, and stepped on it, extinguishing the flames. He was about to head back inside to his tiny apartment and try to get some sleep, when the opening of the door caught his attention. Who in the world would be leaving at this time of night? It was already so late. He turned slightly to see who it was, but quickly stopped himself when he heard that familiar sound of high heels clicking on the pavement. And that's when he smelled her perfume, and become almost intoxicated with it. It was Snow White who was leaving the apartment complex.

He wasn't going to say a word, he was just going to let her walk on by, let her go about her business that night, even though he was curious as hell as to where she was going. The wolf decided to stay silent, however, it was Snow who chose to speak. "Bigby?" She questioned, and Bigby flinched at the sound of her voice. It had been so long since he had actually heard her say it, but it felt nice. "Is that you?" She asked once more when he hadn't answered the first time, and she began walking over to him. "What are you doing out here so late?" All these questions at one time, and Bigby didn't know what to say.

"You know," His voice was rough, "I could ask you the same thing."

Snow sighed, "But I asked you first." There she was; the old stubborn Snow White that Bigby was so familiar with. He was glad to have her back, hell, he was thanking his lucky stars right now that she was even talking to him. This was the first decent conversation they had in a while since the incident with the crooked man and that whole ordeal. Though, Snow really never had much time to talk with being deputy mayor now and what not. She was always so busy with the concerns of the rest of the fables, and she was always cooped up in that damn business office.

"I'm enjoying a cigarette." Bigby replied simply. "Now, you?"

"I'm going on a coffee run." She answered, "There's a lot of work that needs to be done back at the business office... Looks like I'll be pulling an all nighter." She attempted to smile, but Bigby could see behind her façade. As she stepped closer to him, he could see the bags under her beautiful eyes, and she looked so tired. The wolf could tell that she was stressed out about all of this crap with Fabletown, she needed a friend more than anything right now, Bigby could tell that much. Why had they pushed each other away then? They needed each other, it was so obvious.

Bigby lit another cigarette, the coldness of the night was all but forgotten, "Coffee sounds great..." He mumbled. "Do you need help with anything at the office? I could..." He trailed off, offering his help. "I don't get much sleep these nights anyway, at least let me do something useful, Snow." And he was telling the truth. Insomnia haunted Bigby like no other, and he spent most nights tossing and turning in that stupid little chair of his.

He watched her face as she stood there, contemplating whether it would be a good idea for Bigby to come help out. She was unsure about it, after all, would it be a good idea for them to be alone with each other after everything that had happened? She weighed the pros and cons, but she knew that she really did need help with everything, there was a lot of work. "Okay." She nodded, her raven hair bouncing in front of her eyes. "Would you like to join me for coffee as well?" She inquired, and Bigby simply nodded.
