There was no need to explain to herself why she made that decision. It was all clear to her. The fact that there would be three people who will pursue the same person as her, she had to outmatch them all. Tsubaki Yayoi, believer of justice, will pursue the man and kill him to stop the Beast from emerging. Noel Vermillion, the Eye of the Azure, was also determined to find him before she does. Lastly, an empty replica labeled as Lambda, in pursuit to find him as well. And here was she, confident that she would be the first to see him again.

Recalling her conversation with Tsubaki, and the doubts she had as she thought about that. The uneasiness she felt, the sudden sadness splashed toward her. Seeing the child reborn from her will, witnessing the determination on another child's task. And holding on that small glimmering hope that he would be saved.

Noel had piqued her interest as she challenged her to see Ragna first. She wondered what was her purpose to see him. Judging by the cheeky expression she had on her, stepping on her place as she gave her no respect nor formalities, and the fact that the two had to race against time to see one man before the other meets him. Rachel had to wonder herself why she was challenged to do this anyway? What was Noel's point on doing this? Why couldn't she just pursue him on her own? And her cheery expression, there had to be something more than just a simple race game. Was she trying to unveil something from her?

Rachel could only shook her thoughts away. This was beginning to get more and more interesting. Two blond women would be her opponent on seeing Ragna first. A game so childish it meant something deeper. She would question Noel about the real motive of this challenge she made when she arrived on his whereabouts, with her already in his side.

A/N: An extremely short headcannon of mine about Rachel's thoughts on Lambda's Arcade Ending. Hopefully, implied motives will be clear in the next game.
