Hello readers, to those who follow my other stories I'm sorry for not updating them. I plan to rewrite both Harry McGonagall and Power Beyond Words because I think I rushed them a little, but right now I'm going to be focusing on this story. Personally I loved Sasori and Puppetry so after reading one of my favorite fanfictions Plucking Strings by Digitize27 (Go check it out it's in my Favorite Stories), I became inspired to write my own Fanfiction about Puppetry with Sasori and Naruto. I tried to keep pretty close to the story but it's not completely Cannon as Menma takes the place of the Manga Naruto. CHAPTER ONE: Arrack of the Kyuubi

"Minnnnaaatttttttoooo!" cried the voice of Kushina Uzumaki as she was about to give birth to the first of twins.

"Keep pushing Kushina your almost there," replied the voice of Biwako, wife of Hiruzen.

"Aaarrrggggggg...," grunted Kushina as the first child was born.

"It's a boy," said the medical ninja carrying the newborn to a crib.

"Did you hear that Kushina, Naruto is here," Minato said while crying.

"SHUT THE FUCK UP MINATO AND KEEP THAT DAMN FOX FROM ESCAPING!," Kushina burst out before the second child made its way into the world.

"I know Kushina I'm suppressing him as best I can but he's putting up one hell of a fight," Minato said while pushing more chakra into the seal to hold in the Nine-Tailed Fox.

"Would both of you stop your squabbling," Biwako chimed in," Kushina one more push!"

With one last grunt of pain Kushina pushed out their second son, Menma. Minato smiled down at his wife in pure bliss as he started the process of repairing the seal that had been damaged during the birthing of his sons. He was interrupted by the sound of two loud thumps. Looking behind himself Minato saw both the medical ninja and Biwako dead on the ground soaking in a growing pool of blood and a man with an orange swirl mask holding both of his sons.

"Step away from the Jinchūriki and your sons may live!"

Minato put his arms in the air and took one step away from his wife. The man threw both of the newborns up into the air and a Kunai slid out from both his wrists that would have impaled the newborns on their decent.

Minato jumped and caught both his sons until he heard a hiss coming from them. He noticed the exploding tags applied to the blankets holding each child, discarded them, and Hiraishined to the Namikaze compound. He placed both Naruto and Menma into their cribs as he flashed back to get Kushina.

He arrived to find Kushina breathing deeply and the Kyuubi roaring just behind her with the Sharringan blazing in each eye.

"Amazing you survived the extraction of the Kyubbi just after delivering twins, I guess the stories are true about the strength of the Uzumaki," the masked man said on top of the head of the Kyuubi," I guess it's only fitting that the prisoner should kill it's jailor."

The tails of the Kyuubi swirled towards where Kushina and Minato were at until he flashed back to the compound. Minato carried her to their room and placed both Naruto and Menma with her on their bed. He ran through the compound collecting everything that he would need for the fight ahead.

"Keep them safe," Minato said kneeling down hugging his family before he flashed into battle.

He arrived atop of his head on the Hokage Monument. The Kyuubi had already crushed the outer parts of the Village in the small time that he was gone.

"Summoning Jutsu," Minato said pushing enough chakra into the jutsu to summon the Chief Toad, Gamabunta.

"I see we have quite the opponent Minato," Gamabunta stated getting ready to attack.

"I need you to hold him long enough so I can Hiraishin him away from the village."

Gamabunta nodded and charged after the Kyuubi who was to focused on the current destruction it was reeking. The Chief Toad grabbed ahold on one of the fox's tails while Minato flashed through the hand signs for the Hiraishin.

All were gone in a giant flash and found themselves transported a couple of miles outside of Konoha.

"It appears as though I'll have to take care of you myself," the masked man said coming out of a swirling hole above the Kyuubi.

"Gamabunta, hold off the Kyubbi until Hirizune gets here with backup," Minato commanded. He jumped off Gamabunta's head and began his fight with the mysterious masked man.

The masked man flicked his wrists causing chains to fly out while Minato prepared to toss his custom kunai that held his Hiraishin tags. He threw one only to see it phase right through the man as if he didn't have a physical form. Still in shock he was almost sucked into the vortex the man had created earlier. He had to jump to the blade he had just thrown to avoid the man's jutsu.

'That was too close, I almost got sucked into his eye. Just what is this man, he could not only teleport himself, but others as well into his eye. I have to keep him from touching me since his jutsu seems to be close range.

He saw the masked man coming at him again and he threw another of his kunai which phased right through him for the second time. He threw a third kunai at the man just after the other and saw that the masked man had to deflect that one.

'It appears that there is a time limit as to when he can reuse that jutsu of his, I'm gonna need to be quick about this.'

"Give up Minato," the masked man spoke," the Kyubbi has already destroyed a fourth of your village and you cannot even land a single hit on me. As you have seen I'm intangible to physical attacks."

Minato charged a Rasengan in his hand and threw another of his kunai at the masked man. They charged each other while Minato's kunai phased right through the man as he expected. He teleported himself behind the man and drilled his Rasengan into his back blasting him into the ground.

"It appears as though I have underestimated you," the masked man weakly said before swirling away into his eye.

The Kyubbi let out a mighty roar and Minato charged back to help Gamabunta. He arrived at the same as Hirizune and his group of anbu. The eyes of the Kyuubi no longer held the Sharringan and were their normal red slits.

"One last thing to take care of," Minato said to Hirizune.

Just as the Kyuubi was about to bring its claw down to kill the group of ninja, chains erupted out of the ground encircling the Kyuubi and inhibiting him from moving.

"Damn you Kushina," the Kyubbi roared out in furry.

"Kushina," Minato exclaimed jumping to her.

"Seal him," Kushina said," if you put him back in me I'll die, but I'll take him with me giving you a few years to find someone else to seal him into."

"No, I won't let you die and leave our sons!"

Minato flashed away and was back a second later holding one of their newborn sons.

"Minato you can't! Menma is our son!"

"But he will have us and Naruto to help him along in life, it is for the best!"

Without waiting to hear Kushina's response Minato summoned the alter and placed Menma on it while beginning the hand signs.

"I won't allow you to seal me into that child!" the Kyuubi yelled fighting with all his might to break free of the chains holding him. Hirizune jumped to Kushina's side and stated to pour his chakra into her, giving more strength to the chains holding the beast at bay.

Minato finished the hand signs and a huge sealing array was created that appeared under the Kyuubi and on the stomach of Menma. The Kyubbi was pulled into the seal thrashing all the way to no avail until he was completely inside.

"It's done," Minato said holding his son," behold our savior!"

SEVEN YEARS LATER: Present Day

A seven year old child with blonde hair and bright blue eyes was inside his room practicing with his puppet. His name is Naruto Uzumaki, the unknown older twin of the Hero of Konoha, Menma Namakaze.

Naruto was not known throughout the village since his parents often forgot about him in favor of Menma. His brother was named the heir of the Namakaze clan on their fifth birthday, which Naruto wasn't invited to and had to stay in his room.

Menma had the same eyes as Naruto but had the same hair color as their mom, blood red. He is always favored over Naruto, he would get the best clothes, food, and private ninja training from their parents. Naruto, on the other hand, would get his hand-me-downs, scrapes from his plate if their were any left, and could only watch his brother train in their compound from his room.

Naruto begged his parents to teach him, but they replied that it was far to dangerous for him and that his brother needs the training since he holds the terrible Kyuubi.

This lead to how Naruto learned he was special. One day his mother Kushina was trying to show Menma how to create chakra chains. Naruto listened to her detailed instructions carefully and was able to create the chains almost instantly. His brother on the other hand tried for several hours with no such luck.

Naruto was sneaky as well, and would listen in on his father attempting to teach Menma fuinjutsu. Although Menma would leave the room in obvious confusion Naruto would understand everything that was being said. He would then go into his brother's room and father's office to steal the materials and books on how to create seals while his mother took Menma to play at the Uchiha compound with Sasuke and his father would be at work as the Hokage.

He found some chakra paper that his mother had leftover from when Menma was tested for what affinities he held, which were wind and lightning. Naruto grabbed one of the pieces of paper in his hand and pushed chakra through it. Half the paper turned into water while the other half turned into earth. Then the strangest thing occurred, a small sapling sprouted out of the earth and grew rapidly. Naruto ran out of the house and put the still growing plant on the ground where it turned into a tree.

He went to the Konoha Public Library and looked up how chakra paper worked. Normally the paper would absorb the affinity of a person and the two would merge. Meaning his paper should have crumbled and become soaking wet. Reading on he found that if the person had a high affinity for an element the paper would turn into that element. At the end of the book it stated the results of people who had different subelements or combination elements and how the chakra paper reacted. This lead to Naruto discovering he had the Mokuton bloodline, stronger than that of Hashirama who's paper only produced a sapling.

While everyone was away on what his parents called 'a training trip' for Menma, Naruto was left home where he practiced with his chakra chains, Mokuton, and copying of all the ninja scrolls in their family's library as well as the Senju's. Thankfully Naruto had listened in on when Kushina was teaching his brother how to create Shadow Clones.

He sent them to work copying the scrolls while he focused on controlling his chains. He already found that he could manipulate them as if they were an extension of his arms, able to grab and hold objects while bringing them closer to himself, or repel too. But now, he wanted to try and turn his chains into chakra strings.

Naruto had taken an old Bingo book from his father's studies when he was four and found something that stuck out to him, puppeteering. He would go to the Konoha library when ever he could and read about how the technique worked along with how to turn chakra into strings.

Naruto created his chakra chains, one from each finger, and focused on the chains turning into pure chakra. He found this to be quite easy task since he was only manipulating the shape of the chakra. Now came the hard part, making the strings attach to an object.

In one of the books it mentioned you had to fray the ends so they were like tiny drills able to burrow into the object. Naruto took out a simple wooden doll that he had seen at one of the art supplies stores in Konoha and tried to attach his chakra. At first nothing seemed to work until Naruto tried visualizing what he wanted his chakra to look like and do.

Soon the simple doll was dancing on the floor with Naruto grinning. His clones came into his room and placed each of their copied scrolls into the massive one Naruto used to store everything. After the last clone dispersed Naruto found that everything was copied from the libraries, meaning he could set his plan in motion.

He was tired of his parents forgetting he existed, his brother walking past him as though he were below him, and especially the villagers that never knew his name or if they did would question him about their Hero.

Naruto's family was due to return the next day from their trip and he was ready to put his plan into action. The main plan started with a simple test, would his family notice him missing; if they did there was some hope for them still being his family, if not he would leave the village to find a new, better home. He put food, kunai, and money into some stasis/containment scolls which he sealed inside his master scroll before placing it into the seal on his wrist.

However, Naruto's assumption was proven true as he hid in a tree outside the compound while suppressing his chakra when his family had arrived home. He watched for a full day as everything seemed normal, nobody running around trying to find him, no looks of sadness, nothing.

As the day was coming to a close Naruto noticed the light in his room turn on. He snuck up to the window and listened in, although he found that it was a terrible mistake.

"Kushina, that little freak is finally gone," came the voice of his father.

"It's about time," Kushina said entering his room," I thought that thing would never leave."

"Can I have its room now," sounded the voice of his twin.

That was the final shot through the little boy's heart before he jumped into the Forrest crying his eyes out while never looking back.

TWO MONTHS LATER:

Ever since leaving his family's compound Naruto turned cold. He bought the tools required for making his puppets along with some books on chakra control and poison creation. Naruto was living out in a cave not too far from the village creating his puppets and learning the rest of the scrolls he copied from the Namakaze/Senju libraries.

Naruto put his soul into his training and puppets. He would attack the bandits that would come to close to his cave, allowing him to test his new puppets. He was constantly working on reducing the number of fingers it took to control a single puppet, after a month's training he could control up to three puppets with one hand. One day he bit off more than he could chew though...

He could sense a massive amount of chakra coming too close to his cave and decided he should go and investigate. He jumped to the trees with his favorite puppet, Snake, out and ready for combat.

Snake was his most deadly of all his puppets. It stood six feet tall and was in the shape of a human, the reason Naruto named it Snake was because it had the head of a snake, could retract its limbs, had great flexibility, could shoot poisoned sebon from its mouth, emit a poisonous clear/odorless gas, fight with swords, and create a chakra shield from either of its arms or around its body. It had taken Naruto a whole month of building to get it right and strong enough to resist the heaviest of attacks.

Naruto suppressed his chakra as best he could and hid in the tree closest to where the chakra source had stopped moving. He looked down and saw a man with pale skin wearing a simple black cloak with its hood raised. He appeared to be about ten years older than himself judging from the teen's size.

"Come out of that tree already," the man stated looking right up at Naruto.

Naruto chose to revel himself since there was no way he could outrun someone who sensed him while he was suppressing almost all his chakra. He jumped down while still hiding his puppet in the tree since he didn't want to show his trump card to early.

The red-haired ninja stood up saying,"along with your puppet."

Naruto was scared now since he no longer had anything to help him. He twitched his thumb and pointer finger commanding the puppet to slither over to him.

"Do you know who I am," the ninja asked.

Naruto stood there trying to remember if he ever saw this man before, until it hit him,"your Sasori of the Red Sands, S-Ranked missing Nin of Sunagakure, master of Puppetry."

The expression on Sasori's face didn't change, he simply nodded," What are you doing out here alone and why you have a puppet?"

"I ran away from my home, I am an unwanted freak," Naruto said in disdain," as to my puppet I read in a Bingo book about puppetry and fell in love with the art. This is my favorite puppet named Snake."

"Interesting, did you teach yourself?"

"Yes, I had to start with changing my chakra chains into strings and attaching them to the puppet."

"You must be an Uzumaki then to create chakra chains."

"My name is Naruto, nothing more," Naruto spat.

Silence fell between the two until Sasori spoke," I'm feeling nice today, how about I take you on as my apprentice, if you accept."

Naruto almost passed out in shock at this," You really want me to join you?"

"Yes or no kid, I hate to be kept waiting."

"Yes," Naruto yelled in excitement.

"Well then, I want you to explain everything you know about puppetry, you ninjutsu skills, and poison making capabilities while you take me to where you are staying."

Naruto nodded and leaped off in the direction of his cave.

"So far I've created two other puppets; Bird for aerial tracking and battle, and Turtle for defense. Both of which have similar abilities as Snake but I tend to spend more time in Turtle since he is able to withstand anything thrown at it thanks to my fuinjutsu seals and by using my Mokuton to creat the wood.

"I have high affinities toward Suiton and Doton, and found I also hold the Mokuton bloodline. I can do any Suiton or Doton jutsu without hand signs, I only need one hand sign too pull water from the air, and I only need the Snake hand sign to use any Mokuton. I can do any and all the fuinjutsu from the Uzumaki clan by drawing the seal with my chakra, meaning I could fight while applying seals anywhere.

"Finally I can create poisons that are odorless and colorless that could kill a thousand people with either a single drop or breath depending on its state."

If Sasori could show facial expressions, his would be one of shock. He had hit a gold mine, a kid with Mokuton, Fuinjutsu, and a puppeteer.

"You will show me everything while we are on the road training," Sasori said.

"Yes Master," Naruto replied.

They arrived at his cave where Naruto create twenty-five shadow clones to seal everything into his master scroll. All the while Sasori watched on in amazement. Everything was sealed and ready to go in ten minutes.

"I'm ready Sasori-sensei," Naruto replied smiling.

"First we will head to my hideout so we can compete a small procedure."

"What will that be?"

"I'll explain more when we get there, it's not safe out here," Sasori said while unsealing his Hiruko puppet and walking inside," you will want to get inside your puppet, Turtle, the trip is quite long."

Naruto nodded while unsealing Turtle and climbing inside its shell. Sasori noticed all the seals on the inside of its lid that were used to protect the puppet. Some he could recognize but most of them looked like squiggly lines.

"Let's go," Sasori said commanding his puppet to leave the cave with Naruto close behind.

TWO WEEKS LATER:Sasor's Main Hideout (desert of Suna)

"We have arrived," came the voice of Sasori.

"But I don't see anything except sand," Naruto replied from inside Turtle.

Sasori expelled a bit of chakra and before them the sand started to sink into the ground revealing a dark hole. Without waiting Sasori jumped down inside and was quickly followed by Naruto. Torches burned into life as they lit a long narrow hallway which lead to a great cavern.

Inside there were many unfinished puppets, a working station, shelves full of scrolls, but the worst part was the smell. The cavern held the small of death so strong that Naruto could smell it through his puppet.

"Before we start the procedure I'm going to ask you to do me a favor as repayment for me taking you on as an apprentice," Sasori said opening his puppet Hiruko up to get out.

"Today you will become like me," Sasori continued taking off his cloak," you will become a living puppet."

Naruto looked at his chest and saw that he wasn't kidding. His abdominal cavity held a black cable tightly coiled up, on his back were two wing like constructions that contained massive blades, and where his heart should have been was a red cylinder.

"This cylinder contains my core. It hold my heart, brain, and chakra network. This outer casing works as an infinite space holding stasis container where everything inside never ages but has plent of room to grow. The only problem is if it were ever wounded I would die. I want you to transcribe seals like those you have on your Turtle puppet to make my core indestructible."

Naruto looked on in amazement, he could not only become immortal but also a puppet forever," I'll do it."

Naruto unsealed his master scroll and took out a blank scroll. He wrote the seal out quickly to enlarge objects.

"Place your core on this seal. It's perfectly safe, I just want a bigger area so I can work on your core. It will take a half hour to complete since there are about twenty seals I need to place on you."

Sasori nodded and ejected his core onto the seal. Naruto activated the seal and Sasori's core quadrupled in size. He got to work and was applying his seals with his chakra so that everything would be permanent. When Naruto was done he deactivated the enlargement seal and picked up Sasori's core placing it back into the puppets chest.

"Your core is now protected from whatever may come your way, be it a weapon or jutsu," Naruto explained as Sasori brought his puppet back to standing position.

"Thank you Naruto," Sasori replied," Now it is your turn. I will give you your own cylinder so you can place all the necessary seals as you have done for me. Next, I will knock you out so I can proceed with your procedure, just know you won't be able to move at first.

"I will take your body and turn it into a puppet like I have done with my own. What is nice about living puppets is that they retain all the bloodlines as the person did while they were alive. Don't worry about losing your Kekkei Genkai for they are apart of your chakra network."

"Can I at least age my body so it can be older in appearance, like fifteen," Naruto asked," I have a seal developed by my late Great-grandmother Mito Uzumaki that would allow her to control the age of her opponents."

"Very well," Sasori said retrieving a black cylinder similar to his," here is your new core, I already have the stasis seal on it so you just have to apply the others. Come get me when your done."

Sasori left Naruto to prepare his working station. Naruto applied the aging seal to himself being carful not to go past fifteen. He then applied the rest of the seals to his new core.

"Ready Sasori-sensei," Naruto said walking over to the work station.

"Good. I'll make your body like mine so I can perfectly train you on how to use it. After the procedure is over I'm going to place your core into a spare puppet so you can watch how to make your own living puppets.

"Just focus your chakra out into stands like you would with your hands and you'll be able to control the puppet as usual. As for sight and hearing, your chakra strands will pick up vibration like your ear would and the threads will also be your eyes, similar to the optic nerves. Always remember, your ability with chakra is as limited as your imagination."

Naruto nodded and laid himself on the operating table. Sasori injected a sedative and Naruto drifted off to sleep.

TWO HOURS LATER:

Sasori had just finished removing the last of his student's chakra network and placed it inside the cylinder containing his heart and brain. He closed the lid and sealed it shut with a seal while activating all the others as well. Sasori then placed the cylinder inside one of his spare puppets to make sure that Naruto survived.

"Hello Naruto," Sasori said as the puppet came to life.

"It appears to have worked," Naruto said extending his arms and legs while looking around," this is amazing!"

"Yes it is, now come here so I can show you how to make a living puppet."

Naruto was a little shaky at first with moving his current puppet but quickly adapted and was walking like he did in his previous body.

"First we must drain the rest of your blood and extract the other organs," began Sasori as he flushed Naruto's body with water and extracted his now useless organs," now we remove the muscles so all that is left is the bones and skin."

After he was done he then said to Naruto," if this weren't your body we would leave the chakra network inside, finally we apply stasis seals and a sealant to help maintain the bones and skin."

Naruto was amazed at how Sasori was able to create such a work of art out of his own body. Sure most people would be disgusted by what was being done, but Naruto looked on happy with what was done to his old body.

"The last two steps are filling the body with wood to help with durability, keeping the shape, and holding all the modifications we are going to add."

Naruto watched as Sasori added the wood and weapons to his old body explaining as he went," First in the chest we have the hole for your core as well as this chakra amplifier allowing you to control hundreds of puppets at once. Next are the blade wings, perfect for flight or slicing into enemy lines. Then we have this cable, capable of skewering enemy ninja or griping onto objects.

"Finally, we have the standard chakra shield added to both your arms," Sasori finished," I'm done, try out your new body."

Naruto retracted his chakra strings and ejected himself towards his new body. He latched onto the hold and pulled his core inside where he reattached his chakra strings.

He sat up and flexed his body, feeling out his new attachments and mobility. Naruto got up and flexed his hands into the Snake seal.

"Mokuton: Wood Clone," Naruto said. Sprouting out of his puppet came a perfect wood clone that looked exactly as he did before being made into a puppet.

Then Naruto created chakra chains that shot out of his puppets hands," everything is working perfectly if not better."

"That is because we are no longer held back from our bodies. We no longer tire and it takes less chakra for out techniques as well."

"When would you like to start training Sasori-sensei?"

"Right now," Sasori said unsealing a dead body for Naruto to creat his first living puppet.
