Remus chuckled at Sirius' fascination with the mechanical ride outside the supermarket a few blocks from his home. They were spending the day together when Remus mentioned he had to stop here before they went home, then Sirius saw them.

He knew the man had never seen one before, never known the joys of the small contraption that seemed to ensnare kids into a world of imagination and wonder. When he was younger, he had gone on it once or twice, screaming at the tops of his lungs as he imagined soaring above the clouds in the bright-coloured airplane.

"Whooot!" Sirius hollered, his knees bent awkwardly and sticking over the sides of the little cabin. He held onto the tiny red steering wheel, twisting it left and right as he threw his other hand above his head. Other parents and children were looking at him oddly. A grown-man in a children's ride? How inappropriate. But Remus didn't care. He loved seeing Sirius so happy.

He stepped forward when the ride stopped, Sirius' minute of fun coming to an end. He leaned on the young man and asked, "Room for one more?"

Sirius grinned, trying to make himself impossibly even smaller in the tiny metal plane. "There's always room for you, my dear."

Remus climbed in behind Sirius, his legs wrapped around his boyfriend as he inserted the next round of coins into the slot. Let the people stare around them. Getting to act like a child again with someone he loved was worth it. He would never trade this moment for any other.
