The next morning, Esther walked into the Grill. She realized it was full of pack members guarding their alpha. Esther paid them no mind and sat down at a table. Matt walked over to her table to take her order.

"What can I get for you?" Matt asked

"A cup of tea to start off with. Perhaps a salad, is that freshly made?" Esther asked

"Yes"

"I don't like the water here. I'll have a veggie omelette"

"Anything else?"

"You can tell the rest of them to relax. I mean them nor their alpha any harm"

"You can tell them yourself"

"You're human"

"Yeah, one of the few"

Matt wrote down her order and walked off. Kol walked in and took a seat across from her.

"What the bloody hell did you call me for? To this little town in the middle of nowhere? I hate it when you use that spell" Kol whined

"It's not a spell"

"It's a spell that forces in innards to rip themselves apart if I don't return to you!"

"And I thought Rebekah was the drama queen"

"Why am I here?"

"Let's wait for your sister"

"Bar keep!"

Caroline stepped out of the shower, and wrapped a towel around herself. She pushed the door open and saw Klaus getting dressed. She walked over to him quietly, slipping her hand under his shirt. He paused and turned around. Before he could say anything she pushed him hard back onto the bed. He bounced on the mattress before she climbed on top of him, pushing him back down. Her eyes flashed yellow.

"Caroline?" Klaus asked concerned

Caroline pulled the towel off her body and threw it aside. She reached down to pull his shirt up when his hands grabbed hers to stop her.

"Now really isn't a good time love" Klaus said

"Then make time. Your alpha commands it"

"What the hell am I doing here?!" Rebekah yelled as she sat down

"Lovely to see you too" Esther said

"You called me, now what?" Rebekah asked

"Your brother wants to see you"

Rebekah looked over and saw Kol drinking at the bar.

"He could have just called, no need to use the spell for that" Rebekah said

"Your other brother"

Rebekah sat up straighter.

"You said he was gone" Rebekah said

"He's here, and you are about to become an aunt"

"Kol! Get over here!" Rebekah yelled

Caroline slipped her hand into Klaus's as they walked out of the house. Klaus had a few marks on his neck from Caroline. He noticed she was more aggressive lately. They walked down the steps and stopped when they saw Esther standing there with 2 other people. Klaus stepped in front of Caroline.

"What do you want?" Klaus asked

"I bring you your brother and sister, Kol and Rebekah. They wish to speak to you, get to know you. They mean you no harm" Esther said

"No" Klaus said

Kol reached out and held onto Rebekah's hand. The two shared a bond being that they were twins. It also fused their power together.

"Stay away from Caroline" Klaus said raising his hand up

Kol and Rebekah felt it, they could feel the power radiating off him.

"We just want to talk!" Rebekah yelled

"Klaus" Caroline said

"I don't trust them, any of them" Klaus said

"I get that, but you're outnumbered here" Caroline whispered

"I took out 4 witches before"

"But none of them were your family. You said so yourself, your mom is crazy strong. I can't turn, which means I'll be running like a human, at human speed"

"I won't let anyone hurt you"

"I know that, but just hear them out before you try to kill them ok? At least give me a head start"

"Alright," Klaus held her hand tighter and looked back at his family, "What do you want to talk about?"

"This is ridiculous Nik!" Rebekah said walking towards him

"Rebekah! Get back here!" Kol yelled

Rebekah walked towards Klaus only to bump into an invisible barrier.

"The hell?" Rebekah said as she moved her hands around to feel the barrier

Kol walked up next to her and placed his hands on the barrier.

"You need at least 2 people to do a spell like this" Kol said

"She's not a witch, she's a wolf" Rebekah said

"Yes, she's the wolf carrying your niece or nephew, now can't you all play nicely together?" Esther said

"Fine" Kol and Rebekah both said at the same time

Rebekah waved her hand and butterflies started flying around them. They flew past the barrier Klaus had put up and Caroline watched in amazement. She reached out and the butterfly landed on her hand.

"Boring!" Kol said as he waved his hand

Confetti started to rain down on them and Caroline smiled.

"You're making a mess!" Esther said

Kol and Rebekah sighed and the butterflies and confetti disappeared.

"It was an illusion" Klaus said

Klaus allowed Esther, Kol and Rebekah into the house, only because Caroline went to Bonnie's house.

Kol looked at the pictures of Caroline on the wall. Rebekah squinted at looked at the pictures as well.

"She looks better in pictures" Rebekah said

"Who's this?" Kol pointed at the picture

"That's her mother" Klaus answered

"Tell us Nik, tell us what happened to you" Rebekah asked

"We only know bits of what we've heard from other covens. Mother refuses to tell us anything about you" Kol added

"What is there to say? My parents both abandoned me, hated me and tried to kill me. Our mother bound my werewolf side making me weak, my father abjured me, and she tried to bind my powers as a witch. I was 12 when I ran off finally" Klaus said coldly

"You've been on your own all this time?" Rebekah asked

"Yes, I was 15 when I found my father, who smashed both my hands and forced me to turn after. Needless to say I have no need to seek out my family ever since" Klaus said

"We did not know you existed until recently. Whispers among the older witches mostly. I learned of our mother's liaison with a werewolf recently. And when they spoke of this hybrid roaming alone, I knew it had to be you" Kol said

"I know you don't know us, but we would like to get to know you. We could try to be at least friends" Rebekah said

It was a blood moon when Caroline went into labor. It was a blood moon that called the packs together. The covens gathered under the moon and they all descended upon the small town of Mystic Falls.

"Caroline! You have to push!" Bonnie yelled

"I am pushing!" Caroline yelled

Bonnie placed her hands on Caroline's stomach, feeling around.

"The baby's in the wrong position" Bonnie said

"What the hell does that mean?!"

"Don't push. We have to turn it"

Outside Caroline's house, her pack had gathered to protect her. Klaus had called the pack from England and they arrived under his orders. They shifted and stood guard outside the house. Klaus felt the moon pulling at him, forcing him to change. Kol and Rebekah held hands and looked at Klaus who was fighting the change.

"Nik, stop, you'll tire yourself out, and what will Caroline do?" Rebekah said

"I won't let them hurt her" Nik said

Esther stood next to them, looking at the coven of witches that appeared before them.

"Leave now, there is no reason for you to be here" Esther yelled

"You know we cannot leave, especially when it's the birth of a witch. Such an important event in a witch's life" Gloria said

"We won't let you, any of you near our niece or nephew" Rebekah yelled

"You cannot expect to defeat all of us" Gloria said

"Watch us!" Kol yelled

Esther slipped her hand into Kol's.

"Let us end this then" Esther said

The three stood there, holding hands and said something in latin. A barrier spell was put up and the wolves took a few steps back. The witches on the other side joined hands and the barrier started to weaken.

"Nik, give me your hand!" Rebekah yelled

Klaus looked up, his body in pain. He reached out to Rebekah who held onto his hand. He felt their power flow through them. The pain of turning was gone as he stood up. The witches on the other side all flew back and landed on the ground. The wolves growled when they realized there were witches on the other side of the house. They ran to the other side to defend their alpha.

Klaus could hear Caroline's screams as she tried to deliver the baby. Bonnie tried to soothe her. Klaus would not let any of them near his child. He looked at the witches and some of them began to immolate. They were set ablaze and started screaming. Rebekah and Kol looked over at Klaus horrified. They could feel his power, his anger.

"Nik, stop!" Rebekah pleaded

"Never, not until they're all dead" Klaus said

"Nik, you don't have to kill them all" Kol said

"They won't ever stop, they have to be killed. All of them!" Klaus said

"Nik! Don't!" Rebekah yelled

He could hear the barrier give way. The witches were able to breach it in the back and the wolves attacked them. The wolves tore the witches apart before they could use their magic. Klaus had told his pack to destroy anyone who would hurt Caroline. He looked at the other witches who were using a protection spell to keep him from attacking them. The ground beneath them began to shake. It ripped open and the witches fell in. He had the ground close over them, burying them alive. Esther looked up at the moon and could see the redness from it fade. They all looked at Klaus whose body started to tremble. An explosion of light came out from him, blinding everyone, knocking them to the ground. The wolves whined and whimpered. The witches were all dead on the ground. Klaus lay on the grass unconscious.

"Nik! Nik wake up!" Rebekah yelled shaking him

"What did he do?" Kol asked

"He pulled the power of the blood moon. I've never seen anyone do that before" Esther said

"And the wolves, they're human" Kol said

The sound of the baby crying could be heard. Bonnie wrapped the baby in a blanket and handed it to Caroline.

"Congratulations Care, it's a boy" Bonnie said

Caroline smiled as she held the baby in her arms. Her eyes flashed yellow when she heard someone enter the house. Esther walked in with Rebekah behind her. Kol was carrying Klaus into the house. He placed Klaus on the couch. The baby cried again and Klaus's eyes opened. They were yellow and he got up and went upstairs.

"Nik! Nik!" Rebekah yelled out after him

Klaus ran up the stairs into the room and saw Caroline holding the baby.

"It's a boy" Caroline said

"A boy?" Klaus said walking closer to her

Caroline's eyes returned to their blue shade as she handed the baby over to Klaus. His eyes remained yellow as he held his child in his arms.

"How are you not turning?" Caroline asked

"I'm not sure"

"He pulled the magic from the blood moon to keep him from changing. He did the same with the rest of the pack" Esther said

"You can do that?" Caroline asked

Caroline's pack was fixing her house and the front yard. They felt strange as they knew they turned back into their human form last night and Klaus was the reason behind it. Caroline held the baby in her arms. Klaus watched her with his son in awe.

"You can hold him you know" Caroline said

Klaus walked over to them, he reached down, and the baby grabbed onto his finger. Klaus felt the magic flow through him.

"He's a strong one" Esther said from the doorway

Caroline and Klaus both looked up at her.

"His magic is very strong. He is part werewolf, and part witch. He was born on the blood moon. He will grow up to be very strong and powerful. And as of last night, he will have many enemies, your enemies" Esther said

"Is that a threat?" Klaus asked

"No, it is the truth. What you did last night to those witches, there will be retribution for it. They will demand justice"

"And just what are we suppose to do?"

"I will go back and talk to them. Explain that you want to be left alone"

"You did that before didn't you? And look what happened last night"

"They left you alone after you killed those witches the first time. They left you alone because I told them you wanted to be with your mate in this dismal town. What they didn't know at the time was that she was pregnant. That changes everything"

"Why because my son is just like me?"

"Your son is a hybrid just like you. He has too much power"

"He's just a baby! What can he possibly do?" Caroline asked

"The same thing my son can do, I'm not binding his powers, so you will see how hard it will be to control him. The witches will not let this stand"

"You want to bind his powers. You want to make him weak and defenseless" Klaus said

"No"

"That's why you're here. This isn't about protecting family, it's about binding his powers, to make him weak and defenseless"

"He's not weak and defenseless. He has both of you as parents and a pack that will protect him."

"So you just want to bind his witch powers"

"It will make him less of a threat"

"Get out"

"Be reasonable"

"GET OUT!"

"You have condemned him"

Esther left the room quickly, walking past Kol and Rebekah. The two siblings were walking into the room to see their new nephew.
