Based off of Disney's Frozen. I will twist it, but it has a similar plot to Frozen. Not to mention same script in the beginning. Just for the sake of this story, Mira is the only one with powers (ice and snow). I know she doesn't have them, but let's just pretend she does. ;)
"Mira! Play with me!" Erza scrambled up her older sister's bed and planted herself on Mira.
"Mm. Go away, Erza... Play by yourself," Mira sleepily replied. She lightly pushed Erza off her body and tried to sleep.
"Please? C'mon! Hey!" she cried as she was kicked off the bed.
"Leave me alone..." Mira mumbled.
Determined, Erza climbed back onto the bed and whispered into her ear, "Do you wanna make a snow fort?"
Mira smiled into her pillow and pulled the blankets off of her. She lead Erza to the ballroom and created an ice wonderland.
"Wow!" Erza ran around the icy floor, occasionally slipping. Mira watched her and created a fort. She quickly went behind the small structure and lobbed a snowball Erza's way.
"Hey!" Erza swiftly ducked and grabbed some snow with her bare hands. She molded it into a ball and threw it at her older sister.
"Can't hit me!" Mira sang. She faked left and ran back behind the fort. Another snowball was thrown at Erza.
Erza quickly built her own fort and made a small pile of ammunition. She tossed all of them, one after one, at Mira. In return, a small pile of snow landed on Erza's head and plenty more came rushing down. Soon, the redhead was nothing more than a pile of snow.
Unharmed, Erza jumped back up and made more snowballs to throw. Mira neatly blocked each one with an ice shield and shot out mounds of snow around her sister. One hill on the left, one on the right, one in front. She continued and the younger girl stood in the center, until she ran to the right, where a small space was still open. Mira shot a pile that way, exactly where Erza was running to. Her icy stream of magic hit her head.
"No! Erza!" Mira ran over and cradled her sister. A lock of white hair formed where the magic hit her hair. It was the same color as Mira's and that made the pain worse. A reminder to Mira that she was the one who hurt her sister.
"Mira! What did you do?" the king burst into the room, after hearing the thud of Erza's body hitting the floor.
"It was an accident! I'm sorry!" Mira cried.
"I know what we have to do. Hurry!" All three, with the king carrying Erza, ran to the main gate, where a stable boy had left horses for them.
The king swung up onto his horse and held the unconscious Erza in his arms. The queen placed Mira in front of her on the saddle. The reins were flicked and the two horses galloped away to who-knows-where.
They raced through the forest and Mira's anguish grew stronger. It started snowing and the floor turned to ice. Mira wished that the horses would run faster. She didn't want Erza to die!
Finally, they reached a clearing with small boulders in it.
"Please! Help save my daughter!" the king cried out. Mira was confused. What was her father doing?
Then, the boulders rolled forward. It turned out that there were holes underneath. People popped out of them.
"Please, can you save my daughter?" the king asked. He knelt down and held Erza out.
An old man, who Mira assumed was the king, came forward and touched her forward.
"Yes, of course. The head can be easily fixed. Lucky it wasn't the heart. However, all of her memories of your magic, Mira, must be replaced," he answered.
"What?! Why?" Mira exclaimed.
"It's for the best," he answered. He reached into her memories and filled Erza's mind with replacement memories.
"Mira, your magic is powerful and it can be beautiful. However, you must learn to control it. Fear only makes it worse," he said. An image of a beautiful crystal snowflake appeared, but it was quickly replaced by a dark red snowflake that exploded. Mira flinched and her father put his arm in front of her to protect her.
"Be careful!" the old man called, as the royal family went back into the castle.
The next day, Mira's bed was removed from the shared bedroom.
"Why?" Erza had asked.
"It's for the best," both of their parents had answered.
"Mira! Let's play!" Erza exclaimed.
"N-no. I-I don't want to. Leave me alone," Mira shakily replied as she shut the door to her new room.
Every winter, Erza would come to the door and ask if she wanted to build a snow fort.
"Do you wanna build a snow fort?"
"Go away, Erza."
"Okay, bye."
"How about today, Mira?"
"No, sorry."
"Okay, bye."
Every time, Mira would sob behind the door and press her ear against the door to hear Erza's voice.
"I'm scared! It's getting stronger!" Mira cried. One morning, she woke to find out that her room was covered in ice.
"It's okay. Don't be afraid," her father assured her. He reached forward to hug her, but Mira jerked back.
"Don't touch me!" she snapped. Immediately, she regretted it. "I don't want to hurt you."
Her father presented her a pair of gloves. "Conceal it, don't feel it. Don't let it show," they chanted.
"We're leaving," her parents told her.
"Do you have to go? Can't you stay?" she begged.
"You'll be okay," Mira was assured.
That day, the two sisters saw each other for the first time. Mira's headband and braid had been replaced by a braided bun. The shorter bangs were swept to the side of her forehead. Her light blue dress was gone. Instead, a dark purple ankle length dress was there. Erza had grown out her hair and had been braided into two braids. A long sleeved mossy green shirt, black corset, and a dark golden skirt was worn instead of her yellow green childhood dress. A sword was strapped onto her waist. (Over the years, she had taken up swordsmanship.) The sisters stared at each other until their parents got on the boat.
"Be careful!" Erza called after.
In return, both their parents smiled and waved.
"W-what do you mean? Th-they... died...?" Erza's voice shook as she asked the dreaded question.
"I'm so sorry, Princess," the attendants replied.
Mira heard the news and curled up into a ball on her bed. Dead? Her parents, the only people who knew her secret, were gone. No more assurance, no more love. In addition to that, she would have to make a public appearance on her coronation. She trembled and heard Erza knocking on her door, just like the old times.
"Mira? Please come out. I-I only have you now. We have to get to this... together..." Erza's voice trailed off and she crumpled onto the floor in front of the door. Tears slowly streamed down her face and she heard Mira's quiet sobs as well.
"Please? Do you want to build a snow fort, Mira?"
Three years of mourning later, it was finally Mira's coronation day. The day were she would be crowned queen. The day the gates would be opened for people to come.
"Princess Erza, are you awake?"
"Hm? Um... I'm up," Erza answered. She forced her eyes open and hazily thought, Is today special? The guard outside her door was supposed to wake her up earlier on the special days.
"Did I wake you? My deepest apologies if I did."
"No, it's fine. I-I w-was up a long time ago." The redhead stifled a yawn and stretched. "What day is it?"
"Your sister's coronation, Princess."
Erza bolted upright and ran a hand through her messy hair. She glanced at the green and black gown on the mannequin in her room. In a flash, she changed and twisted the back of her hair into a circle. The front section of her hair had been braided and pinned to the top of her head. A green matching ribbon held the whole thing together. Then, she strapped her new sword onto her waist.
"Finally!" She ran through the halls of the castle and forced upon bolted windows, making fresh air pour in. She pulled herself up onto the highest tower with a rope and a pulley. Erza looked down at the town. Hundreds of people were running around, spreading the exciting news. She let go of the pulley and the swing dropped down to ground level.
"Princess!" Erza was walking along the bridge to the castle, when she heard her title. She looked to see Juvia, the princess of a foreign country, wave to her. Prince Gray, who came with her, waved as well.
Erza smiled and resumed walking along the bridge. The townspeople greeted her and she welcomed them to the castle.
After a while, she was free from the crowd and continued walking through the kingdom. She glanced out into the ocean.
"Kya!" she cried. She had bumped into a white horse and fell onto a nearby rowboat.
"Are you okay?"
Ooh! Who do you think that is? :)
