Ch1: Authority by Divine Providence

A ten year old Lelouch was thinking on a stump while Suzaku and Nunnally were sleeping.

How could he do this to us after mother died? After Nunnally lost her sight and legs?! There has to be a way for me to get back at Britannia and possible healed Nunnally's injuries! I would do anything for it! Lelouch thought to himself before looking up at the night sky.

Even if he doesn't believe in wishing on shooting star, he wants to make something different happened.

Lelouch clenched his fists before noticing strange plants grow around him. It soon spawned a purple fruit.

Huh? What are these fruits? And where are they coming from? Lelouch thought confused.

For some reason, Lelouch found them appealing and going to picked one. But before eating it...

"Hold it!"

Lelouch snapped out of his thoughts before seeing a middle-aged man in nomadic robes.

"W-who are you?" the former prince of Britannia asked in surprised.

The older man chuckled.

"They call me a lot of things...liar, trickster, snake...but you may call me Sagara. At your service, your Highness."

"Sagara?" Lelouch asked in confused.

"Yes, and you are the former Prince of Britannia, Lelouch Vi Britannia..." Sagara chuckled as Lelouch become completely surprised that this strange man knows his full name.

"How do you know who I am?" Lelouch asked as he hoped that this man isn't a Britannia agent trying to 'rescue' the prince and princess.

"I know a lot of things. I know about your mother's death. I know about your little sister's accident. I know you hate the empire your father controls more than anything." Sagara said.

"So what?"

Sagara sat down next to Lelouch.

"So...you're an interesting fella." Sagara said.

"But what do you want?" Lelouch asked as he can't help feel curious about this strange man.

"What if I told you that there is a way to help you achieve all of your goals?" Sagara asked.

Lelouch couldn't believe his ears. This all sounds too good to be true.

"What's the catch?" Lelouch asked.

"No catch." Sagara said. "I just want you to rock this world to its roots."

"Umm... what do I have to do?" Lelouch asked, feeling more curious than before.

"That's up to you."

Sagara grabbed the fruit from Lelouch before it turned to a Lock with a Melon on it.

"This will help you on your journey." Sagara said, tossing the Lock to Lelouch's hands.

Lelouch caught the Lock in his hands as he has a wild look on his face.

"H-How did you do that?" Lelouch asked. He really wants to know who this man is now.

"A little trick I learned. Also, think fast." Sagara tossed a device to Lelouch.

He caught it and it looks like a weird looking belt buckle.

"A belt? What am I supposed to do with these?" Lelouch asked while he still wary of Sagara going to throw anything else at him. Sagara only chuckled.

"This belt will allow you become your own man who controls his fate." Sagara said as he gets up from the stump. "You already hate this world's rule of requiring sacrifices only for hope. Just smash them into bits. Smash it and change the world."

"Change the world…?" Lelouch asked with surprised.

Sagara soon continued, "Do you know why those Britannia and others with that kind of mind set are acting the way they are?" Lelouch still doesn't understand, "Because they're weak. They can only fight in the confines of that rule. They've given in to the cruelty of the world." Lelouch was looking at the strange man with wide-eyed of awe and surprised.

"And you're okay with this?" Lelouch asked, thinking that a strange man trust a child with this much power.

Sagara chuckled.

"I win either way."

Lelouch studies the strange man's face. Though he gives him this power for free, he can't help feeling something is up but he needs power to destroy Britannia and destroy that cruel rule which dictates it.

"Alright," Lelouch said, become serious. "I will destroy Britannia… and this stupid rule!"

"Also another advice about these fruits..." Sagara said. "If you studied them carefully, you might find something that could help your sister's condition."

"What!?" Lelouch asked as his eyes widen in completely shock. There is something about the fruits can help his sister?

"Here's a hint: study that belt." Sagara said before disappearing.

Lelouch studied the belt before placing it on.

When he did, a yellow belt was formed around him; connecting him and the belt. Then a faceplate materialized on the blank side. It was a faceplate of white armored helmet in front of a slightly darker white background.

"Whoa..." Lelouch muttered with amazing. What is this belt?

Lelouch then looks at the Melon Lock in his hand and noticed a button on it.

"MELON!"

(Years later)

It's been seven years since the Holy Empire of Britannia has taken over Japan, which is now known as Area 11.

Seven years since the development of the Knightmare Frames. Seven years since Lelouch meet the strange man known as Sagara.

Seven years since Lelouch finally gain the power to make his own destiny.

Lelouch was currently gambling in a chess match against a noble in while the TV was on news describing terrorist attacks. A few minutes later he moves in for the winning move. The noble just stood shock that his winning streak has just come to an abrupt end.

"Now, then since I won fair and square you have to pay your end of the bargain." Lelouch stated coldly.

"As if I'm paying some commoner, I will do no such thing." The noble retorted. Lelouch looks at his classmate, Rivalz Cardemonde and said to him.

"Rivalz start up the bike, I won't be long." Rivalz nodded and processed himself toward the elevator. Lelouch then said in a colder tone. "Now I will ask that you fulfill your end of the deal or there will be... consequences." The noble and his bodyguards just laughed.

"Oh I'm so scared! Whatever will you do to me?" Lelouch then smiled and cracked his knuckle.

A few minutes later...

Lelouch came out of the elevator and met up with Rivalz in the main lobby.

"What was that about?" Rivalz asked.

"Oh nothing, just reminding the man of the policy of Noblesse Oblige." Lelouch explained.

"Huh?"

"Those who own power and privilege have a duty they must fulfill." Lelouch clarified.

"I see..." Rivalz said.

Meanwhile Lelouch ponding about when is the time to revealed his strike against Britannia or hunting for new Locks. They soon left the main exit until Prince Clovis appear and began his speech on the TV.

"To all my subjects and the many cooperative Eleven who chose to live in our glorious Empire! Do you not see the pain I bear? My heart is torn into two! However, as the current ruler of Area 11, as long as I live terrorism will not be tolerated upon this land! In this fight, we must be vigilant against our enemies in this battle for the preservation of our glorious Empire! I now ask for a moment of silence for the brave soldiers who died answering the call of duty." Clovis said before his face disappeared from the screen. Lelouch clenching his fist in angry.

"Your pathetic act may have blinded others but not me or anyone that's Japanese." Lelouch thought as he made his way to the bike.

"You're not joining?"

"Aren't you?"

"Well I would but it's a bit…embarrassing."

"Agreed, silence or tears will not bring the dead back from their graves."

"Dang buddy that's dark."

"It's just self-satisfaction…how pitiful. Besides I'm just being realistic."

He soon climbed on the side car of the motorcycle. The two drove with Rivalz focusing on the road while Lelouch scans around the city. Through his power is good, but there are some unwanted attentions he doesn't want his friends getting involved related to strange portals with zippers. As the two were driving, a truck came charging at a high speed. Rivalz tried to get out of his way while Lelouch making sure he doesn't fall off.

The truck decided to make a turn, but the result was it crashing in a construction site. Bystanders were watching, recording it on their phones, and were making comments or questions.

"What's going on?"

"Is it a drunk driver?"

"We should probably call for help."

Lelouch ran to the truck to make sure if anyone is alright. He climbed using the side ladder to get on the roof.

"Hey, is anyone ok in there?" Then without warning the truck quickly moved and Lelouch fell along with his Melon Lockseed come out of his pocket. The truck quickly moved on the road and Lelouch can hear choppers and the intercom over one.

"Surrender! Pull over your vehicle immediately!"

Lelouch noticed and grabbed the Lockseed before pulling out a couple of Himawari Lockseeds but soon a girl with red hair appeared. And she looked familiar.

"Kallen, we should use it!" That's right Kallen Stadfield was student at Ashford Academy just like Lelouch but was absent many times due to her being sick most day but now he sees her in healthy condition to say the least.

Lelouch waiting quietly as he watched Kallen moving from the shadow with his Lockseeds ready.

"But, that would mean a massacre."

"Yeah, you're right." Lelouch saw Kallen taking off her coat and getting in a red Glasglow before taking off from the back. Lelouch has one guess about his current situation.

This is what she doing... they are terrorists... Lelouch thought.

Kallen was using her slash harkens on the choppers until a VTOL varying a Sutherland appeared. "So you managed to scavenge a Knightmare relic have you? Either way it won't stand a chance against my Sutherland. For the glorious Empire of Britannia!" The Glasglow tried firing at the Sutherland with its rifle before firing a slash Harkin only to be deflected by the Sutherlands'. Kallen then just got a message from Nagata.

"Kallen, retreat, break off so the both of us won't be killed." Kallen hesitantly nodded before firing a smoke grenade from the left arm and taking a different highway exit.

Lelouch concluded the truck is now in an old subway tunnel due to the light changes. Lelouch was spending the next few minutes examining the capsule that was in the back. He noticed this now and came to a conclusion. "So they're using poison gas." A few minutes went by before he notices the truck stopping and the side door opened.

"Finally I can get out of here." Lelouch said gladly.

But unknown to him a Britannian soldier was approaching the scene. Just as Lelouch was about to leave, he hears movement behind him. When he turned he sees a Britannian soldier performing an aerial spinning sick aimed at his face. Lelouch dodged it, dropped a Lock and began to attack. The two were exchanging blows to each other and at the same time Lelouch was trying to put some reason into the soldier. "Hey wait! I'm not one of them!"

"That's enough mindless murder." The soldier attempted to punch Lelouch only for Lelouch to dodge and then he grabbed the arm and flipped the soldier over.

"Mindless murder? What the hell are you talking about?"

"Using the poison gas!" The soldier replied.

"Poison gas? I see." Lelouch then examined the capsule again, knowing he was right when he first assumed. "If this is a posion gas, then tell me was it made by Britannia?" The soldier then gasped after further examining Lelouch.

"My god..." was all he could say before Lelouch continued.

"Mindless murder... then why don't you destroy Britannia?"

"Lelouch."

"Huh?" The soldier then took off his helmet revealing a young man around Lelouch's age. He has brown hair, olive green eyes, and it was obvious he was Japanese.

It can't be... Lelouch thought.

"It's me, Suzaku." Lelouch's eyes widened in surprised not because he was seeing his best friend, but because he was seeing him as a Britannian soldier, a man devoted to the country that Lelouch despises, who mistaken him for one of the terrorists trying to capture poison gas.

"S-Suzaku? You became a Britannia soldier?"

"Yeah, but what about you? Don't tell me you became a..."

"What are you saying?!" Just then the capsule began to open.

"Lelouch, Look out!" Suzaku then got Lelouch down and placed the gas mask on as an attempt to save his best friend. Instead of poison gas it was a beautiful girl with lime green hair and gold eyes. All that Suzaku can say was, "That's not posion gas. What is it?" The two spent the next few minutes helping getting the restraints off her.

"Suzaku, tell me. Poison gas? This girl?"

"Hey, it's just what we were told at the briefing, I swear." Just then a light came from behind and when the two friends look, they see soldiers from the Royal Guard pointing their guns at them.

"Stinking monkey…don't think being an Honorary Britannian will excuse you from this." Suzaku then approached the commanding officer.

"But sir, I was told it was poison gas."

"You question my orders, soldier?" He then looked at Lelouch and Lelouch realized how dangerous the situation became. He secretly took out the Himawari Lockseeds from his jacket.

"However due to your recent achievements I'll be lenient. I order you to execute these terrorists." He ordered as he gave Suzaku a handgun.

"But, he just a civilian."

"You dare go to insubordination. Haven't you sworn loyalty to Britannia?"

"Yes, but regardless I won't do it."

"WHAT?!"

"I won't shoot a civilian even under your orders."

"Very well." He then shot Suzaku in the back.

"SUZAKU!"

"Well, Britannian schoolboy, not a good day to cut class, isn't it? Collect the girl and execute the schoolboy."

He soon unlocked the Locks, summoning Inves before taking the girl and running away but soon the truck exploded.

During the explosion, Lelouch took the girl and ran to an open tunnel nearby leaving the Royal Guards. The two ran hoping that the Royal Guards wouldn't follow. While running, about halfway there, the girl tripped due to the cannon and mortar fire coming from above. Lelouch could feel the aftershocks indicating just at what great lengths is the Britannia military are going to obtain their so-called poison gas.

"All this chaos, it's your fault!" Lelouch said as he leaned against the wall, "Just what the hell are you! Not only has that but because of you, Britannia... killed Suzaku as well."

The two continue to move until they reached the exit. "Stay down and don't make any noise." The two heard gunshots from the same officer that shot Suzaku.

"Report?"

"Nothing but Eleven here, sir."

"You're sure of it? Doesn't the exit lead here?"

"Yes sir, it said so in the maps."

Then the sound of a child was heard which was soon put down by the officer's gunshot. The officers soon began to search the area until Lelouch's cell phone rang. The officers then had Lelouch and the girl surrounded.

"What an appropriate location for a terrorist to meet his end." Just as he fired the girl stood in front of Lelouch screaming.

"He mustn't die!" And the bullet went to her head and Lelouch went over to her body.

"I would have liked to keep her alive. Report to our superiors. That group CA have found and eliminated the terrorists'' base and the terrorists themselves. However the hostage was killed by the time we got there. What do you think student?" Lelouch was thinking how he didn't want to die and grabbed something out of his jacket.

He took out the Sengoku Driver, but the girl was about to grab his arm, he stood up and placed the device on his waist, forming the belt.

"Say, tell me how should a Britannian who detests his own country live his life?"

"Are you some kind of radical?" The leading officer then noticed Lelouch going into his coat and pulling out the Melon Lockseed.

"What's wrong? Why not shoot? Your opponent is just a schoolboy or you finally realized that only ones that should kill are those who are prepared to be killed?" Lelouch then pressed the Lockseed.

"Henshin."

"MELON!"

A giant zipper portal opened above Lelouch's head with a giant green sphere before Lelouch tossed the Lock up in the air before catching it. He quickly caught it before placing it in and locking it.

"LOCK ON!"

Soon the horn-like sound was starting playing. Lelouch soon puts his hand on the knife-shaped lever and pushed it down.

"SOIYA! MELON ARMS! TENKA GOMEN!"

The metal melon dropped upon Lelouch's head.

The white bodysuit formed first and then the helmet formed within the confines of the metal melon. The gauntlets and greaves gleamed gold with black lines rising up his arms and legs. The melon splashed with green energy before opening, the front section coming together in green plating with gold accents. The sides folded together to form shoulder plating, but remained slightly separated to give the image of spikes. The back pieces landed on the back, finishing the armor.

His helmet was revealed to have large eyepieces with a silver mouthplate and a gold crescent moon on the forehead. The helmet attachment was designed like the skin of a melon with gold siding like a samurai helmet and a melon stem coming from the top. The attachment had caused the eyes to turn green, giving them a look not unlike a slice of melon. Flash of light appeared over his left arm, creating a large shield with a golden centre ending in a crescent moon with gold siding and a round disk on the top. The rest was covered in the same textured green as the Melon Arms.

This is Kamen Rider Zangetsu Melon Arms.

"W-What's going on here?"

Zangetsu stayed silent as he unsheathed his sword.

"Your demise."

Suddenly the soldiers firing their guns...

But Zangetsu disappear from their views as he appears behind them.

"Hmph," The soldiers collapsed as they're cutting down and their guns shatter. Zangetsu looked around to see the leading officer wounded but still alive regardless.

"W-Who are you?"

"Kamen Rider Zangetsu… authorized by the Divine Providence." Zangetsu answered before finishing the man off.

Zangetsu felt a familiar presence and turn around as he saw Sagara again.

"Sagara..." He said.

"It looks like you are having a great start, Lelouch." Sagara said.

Zangetsu studied the robed man's appearance.

"You look the same as when we met 7 years ago."

This causes Sagara chuckled.

"I have natural beauty." He joked. "Anyways, what you have started...there's no going back now. If you don't believe me...then take it from her." He said before disappearing.

"Her?"

Zangetsu soon looks back at the destruction he caused.

There is no going back, I'm stronger than I was in the past. With the power of Lockseeds, I will be the one who gives Britannia its final retribution and destroy the world's Rule of Reality. At the same time, I will protect Nunnally and grand her wish... As the one authorized by Divine Providence…! Zangetsu thought.

Zangetsu stared at the girl's body before reverting back to Lelouch. He knelt down.

"If it means anything, I'm sorry and I won't let your death go to waste."

Unknown to him, the girl's hand grabbed his hand.

AN: This idea is inspire by Spartan719's stories about Lelouch being both Eternal and Ryuga. Kamen Rider Zangetsu is also my favorite Rider and I noticed how similar Lelouch and Takatora are like. Anyway, just leave any questions, reviews, or concerns in the reviews or PM. Okay?
