Chapter 1 - Along Came The Spider

Unknown sector of Space - Battle-world

"What am I even doing here...this is crazy!" Peter Parker otherwise known as the Amazing Spider-Man shouted as he narrowly dodged a lethal blast of energy from the bionic gauntlets of Dr. Doom. Peter's uncanny Spider-sense blared another warning, when several metallic tentacles tried to crush the life from him. Spider-Man leaps through the mechanical arms to safety, and only took a little damage to his costumed chest. "Keep him occupied Doom! I almost had him within range!" Doctor Otto Octavius aka. Doctor Octapus stated with a sinister grin on his face, when he noticed that his arch foe was beginning to tire from being in constant fights since he was separated from the rest of the heroes.

Peter was on a high peak above the waiting super-villains trying to catch his breath, and held a gloved hand to his semi-injured chest."Where are we, and what is going on? One minute, I'm jumping over rooftops with my on again, off again lover Black Cat, and the next I'm told to fight a bunch of baddies for a prize! *Huff* *Ouch* Man! Old Ock managed a good hit...he may have busted one of my ribs. No time to lick my wounds, here comes my dance partners now!" Spider-Man readied himself for his foes to attack him, but noticed that Doom was glaring at Doctor Octopus and then turned his back to Octopus while scoffing at him.

"Do not presume to order Doom, Octavius! I have loftier goals than this 'prize'. This confrontation with Spider-Man no longer holds any interest to me!" Dr. Doom, Octopus, and Spider-Man's attention shifted to where the Mighty Thor was battling the Wrecker, after defeating his Wrecking Crew: Thunderball, Bulldozer, and Piledriver were barely conscious to witness the mystical energy from Thor's hammer colliding heavily with Wrecker's crowbar.

"Their throwing out some serious power...I can feel the hairs on the back of my head standing on end!" Spider-Man is still on alert, when he sees Dr. Doom hitting several buttons on his hand gauntlet to activate his personal force-field. "That's not a good sign at all!" The lenses of Peter's mask went wide as the power released by the two combatants was effecting the terrain, and massive chunks of rock were flying in the air towards the unlikely trio. Peter used his spider agility, and speed to weave his way around the deadly airborne debris. Doctor Octopus protected himself with his four mechanical tentacles from most of the upturned earth. However, he didn't account for an incoming energy wave that knocked him off of his feet.

Dr. Doom looked on curiously, completely unaffected due to his personal force field protecting him. He hovered above his adversaries watching the Thunder God still trading blows with The Wrecker.

"Yield, Villain! Yield before the Son of Odin!" Thor bellowed as he raised Mjölnir, his enchanted hammer over his head. The Thunder God spun the hammer at high speeds, and gathered elemental energies to deliver the final blow to Wrecker. The skies above their heads darkened, and dangerous looking storm clouds appeared, with lightning striking the ground below.

Wrecker grimaced, and narrowed his eyes behind his mask. "It ain't gonna be that easy, Goldilocks! I'm going to make you eat this crowbar, then I'm gonna get me this prize that clod was going on about!" Wrecker yelled, as he charged at the Asgardian with his crowbar raised to make good on his promise. Wrecker was leaving spider-web cracks in the ground as he closed the distance with Thor. "Time to die!" Wrecker launched his crowbar that glowed red with arcane energies at Thor, who brought Mjölnir to intercept. This caused a shock-wave that threw the two combatants 20 feet away from each other to impact against the solid rock on either side.

Peter was tossed around from the energy shock-wave, and was almost knocked unconscious. His instincts caused him to hold out his left arm, and shoot out a web-line to stick to the nearest object. Unfortunately, the nearest object was the mechanical arm of Doctor Octopus. "There will be no hitchhikers today, Arachnid! Begone!" Otto used his tentacle arm like a whip, and snapped Peter's web-line off of it. This sent Peter careening toward the source of the shock-wave, and he felt himself enveloped within the residual magical energies released by Thor, and Wrecker. Spider-Man struggled to escape, but stopped when he saw that sections of his body were disappearing. "This is it. Aunt May, Cat, Harry...I'm sorry. I'll be seeing you soon Uncle Ben...Gwen." Peter shut his eyes, and waited. If Spider-Man had kept his eyes open, he would've seen a black substance sticking to his right boot before disappearing from Battle-world entirely.

Doctor Doom, and Otto Octavius witnessed Spider-Man being engulfed by the mystical energies before vanishing. Doctor Octopus threw all six of his arms in the air, and laughed at his triumph. "At long last! I am finally rid of that annoying Web-Headed nuisance! Ha-Ha-Ha-Ha!" The Doctor didn't take long in his celebration when he noticed that his villainous allies lost their battles with Earth's heroes. "Quickly, Doom! We have to re-regroup at your base!" Otto looked up to see Doom closely analyzing the area where he threw Spider-Man. "What are you doing up there?! We have to leave!"

Doom stared down at Otto like he was a gnat that Doom wanted under his boot. "Doom answers to no one!" Doom stated, as he glanced back at the now empty area, and then to the read-out on his gauntlet's view screen. "You assume too much in you're 'victory' over Spider-Man. Underestimate him at your own peril!" Doom said to a stunned Doctor Octopus, before he flew away with the use of his boot jets. Otto frowned at the thought that his old enemy might still be alive, but chose to keep it to himself, as he joined with the defeated villains as they fled from their enemies.

In The Nexus- In-Between Dimensions

"How long have I been here...floating in this nothingness. ***** "What? No, I'm not losing my grasp on reality...I'm just contemplating what's next for us is all." "I imagined the afterlife a little differently than this." Peter put up his now black costumed arms to show that there was nothing there, but himself. ************ So you keep telling me, but do you see a way out of here, cause I sure as hell don't!" ********** Can't say that I miss where we were at, but facing 20 or so super-villains is preferable to talking to myself any day of the week." Peter frowned under his mask, and crossed his muscular arms across his chest with a large white spider emblem. ********* "I know. I know! 'WE ARE ONE!' You've only been repeating that since we first 'bonded' as you put it."

"***** *** ***** "You've got a point. None of the other heroes lifted a finger to help me out." ****** "You're sensing something...I'm getting a slight tingle from my Spider-Sense too. There!" Spider-Man pointed to a disturbance in the nexus, as a tear began to form, until it was large enough to see through to the other side. "I can see houses, and street lights within! Earth...it has to be!" ****** ***

I could care less where this thing takes me, as long as there's a food court close by!" Peter grinned under his mask, and shot a web-line from his upper wrist, and snagged something on the other side of the tear. "Here we go!" Spider-Man slingshot himself with his web through the tear, and disappeared within. Then it quickly closed, leaving no trace that it had been there.

In Another Universe

Peter is walking down a busy sidewalk using his black costume's camouflage ability and morphed it into casual clothing to better blend in with the locals. However, he noticed that there were few Caucasians, and most if not all the people were of Japanese descent. His eyes widened when he first saw a woman with features of a bunny walking amongst the populace like it was an everyday occurrence. Peter lost his surprise when she wasn't the only animal based person that he saw on his way. "Bunny girl, Wolf Man, Snake Girl, Centaur..." Peter shrugged his shoulders. "I've seen weirder things in my time as Spider-Man." ******* "I don't know...maybe I should ask someone about this." Peter looked around, and saw a man who looked to be in his early twenties carrying grocery bags, with a snake girl with long bright red hair hanging off of his arm. She had a big smile on her face, like she was on a date.

"Oh, Darling! I'm so happy you decided to take me out on our first date!" Miia exclaimed with a pink blush on her cheeks, with a wide smile showing her sharp teeth. Kimihito Kurusu nervously chuckled, and eye smiled at Miia. "I don't remember calling this a date, since we only went shopping for groceries together." Miia let go of Kurusu's arm, and slithered in front of him, causing him to stare at Miia's puppy dog pout with her bottom lip stuck out, and tears starting to show.

"Excuse me!" Kurusu, and Miia both turn around at the same time to see who it was. They saw a tall Caucasian male with short clean cut brown hair, and brown eyes wearing casual clothing approaching the pair. Kurusu was internally thanking the man for interrupting, before answering him back. "Yes? Do you need something?" Peter was grateful that he learned the Japanese language, before he, and Daredevil fought against Elektra, and the Hand.

"Could you tell me a little about the new species that I've been seeing? I'm new to this part of the world, and this is all very exciting!" Peter said as he listened to his other, who coached him on what to say to the couple. Miia's amber slitted eyes were wide, and she gave a side long look to Kurusu, before staring at Peter. "You mean...you don't know anything about the Cultural Exchange Between Species?" The rest of their conversation was cut off, when there was an explosion that rocked the street, and sent waves of panicked pedestrians running for cover.

Kurusu looked over at Miia with a serious expression, and took her hand in his, making Miia blush a scarlet red on her cheeks. "Miia, let's head home quickly!" Miia returned his look, and nodded her head. "Hey, Mister! You should probably..." Kurusu trailed off, when he noticed that the man who stopped them was long gone. "I hope he was able to find cover somewhere safe." Kurusu thought, as he escorted Miia back to their home.

Elsewhere Across the City

Peter had ducked away from the distracted couple, and decided to investigate the explosion. Peter ran down an alley way, as his clothes changed with a mental command into his black Spider-Man costume. He quickly scaled the nearest building via wall-crawling, and flipped over to the adjacent rooftop. Peter shot a web-line towards the center of the disturbance, and began web-swinging at a fast pace towards the building surrounded by police officers, and the S.W.A.T. Team.

"This is the Police! We want you to release the hostages, and come out with you're hands in the air!" The Captain of the police force said with authority using a megaphone, while using a squad car for cover.

"You humans are so *snort* stupid! We're protected by the Extra-species Law! You can't do shit to us! *Snort!* The Orc laughed along with his group, as the hostages grimace with worry for their safety.

On a rooftop across from the Libido Dojin, a lone figure was setting her sights on the overconfident Orcs in front of it's windows. "Sumike...I have the target's in sight. Is e-everyone else prepared? Wait! There's someone entering the building from the rooftop skylight! I can see...a man in a black suit with a large white spider on his chest...do I engage?" "Negative. The operation continues like we planned...take out their guns, and we'll do the rest!"

With Spider-Man inside the Libido Dojin

Peter used his symbiote costume's ability to conceal himself, so he could sneak his way past the armed Orc guards to get to the hostages. "I've gotta do this fast, or the hostages would end up in the crossfire, if I tried to take all of these pig guys out." Spider-Man was crawling along the side of the wall behind one of the Orcs, when the Orc started snorting the air. "Hey...I smell something. *snort, snort* "Smells half-human, with something else too." The Orcs all start smelling around, and Peter is getting nervous that he'll soon be discovered. *Snort, Snort!* "I smell something nice!" The Lead Orc starts to blush, and gets a perverted look on his face. The rest of the group quickly lose interest, in favor of the new smell.

"That's my queue...I only hope that whatever drew their attention can be safe until I've freed the rest of the hostages." Peter makes his way slowly towards the people held hostage, and wills his camouflage to stop, showing them his costumed presence. A woman in the group is about to shout, when Peter puts up his hands showing that he means no harm, "Before anyone starts panicking, I'm one of the good guys. You're friendly neighborhood Spider-Man, at you're service." The group start to look at each other in confusion, and Peter can tell that they haven't heard of him before.

"I know that you're scared, and I don't blame you...but If you remain here, then I don't want to imagine what Bacon Bits, and his crew of pork chops will do to you." Playing the fear card leaves a bad taste in Peter's mouth, but the plan starts working, as the hostages follow him out to the rear exit. Before they can get too far, the side wall explodes with debris flying everywhere while Peter quickly creates a web cocoon shield to protect the hostages from the falling pieces of the wall.

Spider-Man looks up, and has to crane his neck as far as possible to see a giant of a figure in full body armor, with M.O.N. printed on the breastplate. The figure has a large red horn sticking out from the helmet it's wearing. The hostages start to scramble, only for the giant to scoop everyone up in it's arms, and run out of the building through the hole that it made.

"Don't worry! *giggle* I'm going to get you out of here safely!" The giant said with the voice muffled by the helmet it's wearing. Peter starts to rush after them, only to freeze when he hears gunfire from within the building. "No! There must have been other hostages!" Spider-Man raced to the room where he heard the gunfire, to see a female officer with several bullet holes through her chest. Peter says a silent prayer for her, and places his hand to close her eyelids over her eyes. Peter hears snorting, and inhuman laughing from behind him, as his Spider-sense warns him of danger. He easily dodges the gunfire from the Orc leader, to the surprise of him and his followers.

"He's not human! *snort!*" The words come out of the Orc's mouth just as he receives a powerful uppercut to his jaw sending his head, and most of his upper body through the ceiling. "No, this can't be happening! We're *Snooort* protected!" The lead Orc then feels cold metal pressed against his cheek, and looks out of the corner of his eye, to see the woman he killed back up and smiling at him with her sharp teeth exposed. "You thought you killed me? HA! Nothing can kill me! I'm Zombina: A Zombie!" Peter had a blush on his face under his mask, because Zombina had her vest opened, and unzipped showing not only the bullet holes, but also her well endowed breasts.

"Zombina-chan...why do you never wait for backup? I h-had to run all the way from atop the roof across the street to get here!" A smaller woman with short, shoulder-length bob-cut black hair and a single purple eye looked at Zombina with a depressed stare. Zombina shrugged her stare off with a disarming smile, and lifted her guns to point at the rest of the Orcs. "I don't need backup, but thanks all the same! You still in disguise, Doppel? I've never seen you use this one before!" Zombina walks towards Peter, while The Cyclops girl has her weapon trained on the remaining Orcs.

"Who are you talking to, Zombina? I had to shift into a girl from a Dojin to get their attention. *Uggh!* I can still feel their slimy Orc digits pawing me!" Doppel rubbed her hands on her shoulders, and shivered a little, as she walked into the room with a tall dark haired woman with sunglasses on wearing a white dress shirt with a black tie and black blazer with a professional skirt, nylon stockings and heels.

"My, My! Now, who do we have here?" Sumike gestured to the M.O.N. Squad, and they quickly surrounded Peter, with their weapons pointed at him. Peter's spider-sense was blaring a warning, when he was suddenly grabbed from behind, in the powerful grip of the giant from earlier.

"Hey! I was helping to rescue the hostages! I'm one of the good guys! Just ask him...he saw me leading them to the back exit!" Peter said, while nudging his head backward towards the giant.

The giant switched to grabbing Spider-Man with one arm, and took off the helmet with the other hand to reveal bronze skin, and long flowing blonde hair. "That's rude! Tio is a girl!" Tio looked down at Peter with her cheeks puffed out, and a small pout on her face.

Sumike sauntered toward Tio, and her male captive, and looked him up and down. "You're not an Arachne, and I don't recall any other extra-species that would fit your description." Sumike looks up at Tio. "We'll need to bring him back to HQ for a full debriefing." Sumike looks back to where Zombina is trying to dislodge an Orc from the ceiling, and whistles. "You better hope that you're not human, because I don't think you'd like the consequences if you are."

Peter looks Sumike in the eyes, and then at the rest of the M.O.N. Squad. "This doesn't look good." Peter states to his other, as the M.O.N. Squad leaves the building with their captives in tow.
