Hello my viewers! It's been way too long and it is completely my fault. Sorry for the delay. I hope you all remember where we left off-Gwen and Peter finally got together! Hope you all like this chapter and keep reading! Also I left a little information at the bottom..

September 26th 2017:

As the early morning light started to enter Peter's bedroom, he knew it was almost time for him to leave the comfort of his bed and the warmth of the girl of his dreams beside him. Peter couldn't help but smile at the sleeping blonde lying beside him; he loved moments like this. The quiet, peaceful moments. The moments when Gwen didn't have to worry about him.

"Peter," Gwen speaks with sleep still in her voice.

"Yes," Peter answers with a small smile.

"What did I say about watching me sleep?" Gwen asks with her eyes still shut.

"Uh, to do it. That it makes you feel beautiful," Peter answers with a growing smile knowing he had been caught.

Gwen lets out a light laugh while snuggling closer to Peter, "Why are you up so early?"

Wrapping his arm around Gwen, Peter answers, "Well, a little grizzly bear woke me up snoring."

Gwen's head shot up to look at Peter, "I do not snore."

"Yes you do, and I have missed it," Peter reveals before brushing his lips against Gwen's pale skin.

"I'm sorry if I kept you up," Gwen rasps while placing her head on Peter's chest.

"I would rather have you snoring in my bed than not having you in my bed at all," Peter expresses.

"Aww," Gwen exaggerates while raising her head to give Peter a quick kiss before adding, "That was rather cheesy."

"You love it," Peter smiles.

"I tolerate it," Gwen teases. "What time is it anyways?"

"Uh," Peter turns his head to check his bedside clock, "Its 6:27." Gwen hums into Peter's chest hugging her body tighter his. "You know," Peter suggests softly, shifting to face Gwen. Gwen looks at Peter with knowing eyes matching her grin. "I don't want to brag, but I could probably do this in three minutes."

"You don't have to tell me," Gwen jokes.

Peter's proud face dissolves into disappointment and he slides his arm out from under Gwen while getting out of bed quietly confessing, "I'm no longer in the mood."

"Peter," Gwen laughs. Peter continues towalk towards his bathroom as Gwen continues with her laughter at hisexpense, "Peter, I was joking."

"Nope," Peter voices entering his bathroom. Gwen knows that Peter isn't really mad by him leaving the door open inviting her to come in. Gwen hears the shower turn on and as badly as shewants to join him now, she knows that making him wait and wonder if she was coming, would only heighten their time together. Gwen waited as long as she could and finally left the lonely bed, leaving a trail of clothing behind. Gwen steps into the shower as quietly as she could and snakes her arms around his bare torso softly kissing his back until he is facing her. Once their eyes meet Peter happily states, "I knew you couldn't resists this."

"Guilty," Gwen confesses before joining their lips beneath the shower water. Three minutes definitely wasn't long enough for the reunited lovers as each took their time pleasing the other. Both were late for work, but neither cared.

Gwen considered herself lucky to have a job she loved right out of college. She knew that she could very easily be working at job where she counted the hours until she got to go home. In the recent days however, she has been a little antsy to get home, because being home meant being with Peter.

Gwen was busy with work when she heard her phone vibrate on her desk and once she had finished writing her thought down, she rolls across the floor to where her phone is at and saw the picture of Peter on her screen. "Hey," she smiles.

"Hey," Peter replies. "Heading home?"

"Not yet, I have to wait about 10 more minutes for some test results and then I'm going to go to the gym," Gwen replies rolling back to where she was before.

"The gym? Didn't you get enough cardio this morning?" Peter teases.

"Please tell me you aren't around anyone," Gwen demands.

"Only the copy boys," Peter answers.

"Peter," Gwen playfully scolds.

"I'm kidding, I'm in the dark room by myself," Peter laughs.

"Good," Gwen happily declares. "So what are your plans for dinner?"

"Uh, I'll probably just grab something while I'm out," Peter replies.

"You could do that, or if you wanted, you could stop by my apartment. I was thinking of warming up that chicken," Gwen speaks.

"Are we having dessert?" Peter inquires.

"I'm going to say, the odds are in your favor," Gwen coax.

"You are going to spoil me Gwen Stacy," Peter confesses.

"You want to come over about 8:30 or 9?" Gwen laughs.

"Now you say?" Peter jokes.

"Down boy," Gwen's pink face forms a smile.

"See you then. Love you," Peter replies.

"Love you too. Please be careful," Gwen requests.

"Always. Goodbye," Peter states.

"Goodbye," Gwen answers.

Gwen steps out of her gym and glances at her phone to check the time. She figured she had enough time to get home and put the leftovers in the oven, take a quick shower and maybe even put a load of clothes in the washing machine. Once Gwen turned the corner she could hear a crowd of people yelling and running towards her. It sounded like they were telling everyone to run and get out of the way but that only made her more curious and a lot more worried. Sirens from police cars and firetrucks started to echo throughout the city and Gwen started to run in the opposite way that the crowd was running People tried to grab her to get her attention to not go the way she was going. Then gunshots began to echo louder than the sirens and she knew that she was getting closer. She came up to a larger crowd that was halted and she heard screams and cries coming from her fellow New Yorkers. Gwen shimmed her way to the front to get a better view of what was going on but once she got there she couldn't see anything. The police officers had blocked the streets off. Then a noise she wasn't expecting filled the joining streets of the scene and it sounded as if it was coming from a bird. Gwen knew that standing yards away from the scene and not being able to know what was actually going on was worse than seeing it live on TV. At least on TV she could see how Peter was holding up. "Have you seen Spiderman?" Gwen asks not caring with the concern in her voice.

"No, but I hope he is there," the stranger to her left replies.

"Have you seen Spiderman?" Gwen asks another stranger.

"No," the other stranger answers while shaking their head.

Peter where are you? Why couldn't you have ran back home? Why did you have to come to the scene? Gwen berates herself for not doing the smart thing and now she is stuck in a crowd and doesn't know whether or not Peter is ok. Please let him be ok, please.

Then a voice over an officer's walkietalkie sounded, "Spiderman is up. I repeat Spiderman is back up after the fall. He doesn't seem to be affected by the liquid." That was all it took, Gwen hopped over the police barrier and ran to make sure Peter was ok. But about four steps in, the scenario took a turn for the worse. The maker of the bird calls finally revealed itself and to everyone's fear it was another mechanicalized creature. Gwen halted when she saw the creature. The noises coming from it and the screams coming from the innocent New Yorkers didn't scare her as much as seeing a blue and red figure dangling behind the machine. Peter, Gwen froze as she watched her boyfriend vanish into the city. Please let him be ok. Please let him be ok, was all that was running through Gwen's mind. If anyone can do this, it's Peter, Gwen reminded herself. Gwen began to get knocked in all different directions, bringing her out of her thoughts and the she realized that the crowd that was behind her, was now running to the scene.

Once Gwen got to where the bird and Peter battled, she took in the scene. She saw Buildings on fire. Cars on fire. Cars flipped on top of each other. Strangers helping strangers. She heard screams, cries and voices over loud speaks directing people where to go. Gwen spots a child screaming and crying and she runs over to her, "Hey, hey. Are you ok?" Gwen asks examining the child as much as she could without scaring her. The child kept screaming in crying. "I'm Gwen, can you tell me your name," Gwen calms her voice.

"Rachel," The young girl finally says between her cries.

"Hey Rachel, let's get you over to the paramedics ok. And then we can find your parents," Gwen gently rubs the girls arms before picking her up. "Were you with your mommy or daddy?"

"Mommy," The girl sniffs.

"Can you remember what she was wearing?" Gwen asks wiping the tear stained face of the girl.

"A green skirt," Rachel quietly speaks.

"Ok," Gwen smiles before she scans the scene for a woman in a green skirt and she was coming up empty. She didn't want to scare the girl more than what she already was, so Gwen erases all the fear, worry and anxiety from her demeanor and asks the girl, "My daddy use to be a Police Officer, have you ever met a Police Officer before?"

Rachel shakes her head, "No."

"Well would you like to meet one?" Gwen smiles. Rachel nods her head with a small smile forming.

Before Gwen could get to the officer she hears a voice calling from behind her, "Rachel, Rachel."

Gwen turns on her heels when she hears the name being called and then sees a woman in a green skirt. "Mommy, Mommy," Rachel wiggles from Gwen's hold. Gwen sets her down and she takes off running towards her mother. Relief takes over Gwen when she see the two reunited. The mother thanks Gwen between her sobs as she hugs her little girl tightly. Gwen watches as the mother and daughter walk off and the relief that she was feeling soon vanished and fear and worry took over when she looked up to the sky and didn't she a red and blue figure. Gwen closes her eyes and takes a deep breath, it's Peter. He can do this. He will be ok and will come back home. He promised.

Gwen knew that waiting for Peter would only drive her crazy and make her more nervous so she busies herself with helping the paramedics, fireman and officers with anything she could. Occasionally succumbing to her fear and asking officers if they have heard anything on Spiderman and checking the sky. He's ok. He's ok, sounded throughout Gwen's mind trying to calm her.

Gwen was loading medical supplies into an ambulance when she heard a Staten Island voice speaking to her, "Have you gotten that checked out?"

Gwen follows the path that their finger was pointing to and to Gwen's dismay, sees a gash on her arm. "Oh. I—I didn't even know that was there."

"Adrenaline, quite the drug," The paramedic voices.

"Yeah I guess so," Gwen speaks examining her wound.

"Sit down let me check it out," the paramedic demands while putting on medical gloves. "Doesn't look too bad," he confirms.

"Yeah, I'm guessing about two or three stitches," Gwen informs.

He smiles, "Yeah. Pretty close."

Gwen and the paramedic—Luke, she later finds outs— discuss the events that they witnessed and both hope that Spiderman is ok. Luke is applying the bandage when Gwen gets the feeling that she is being watched and she raises her head locking eyes on Peter. He's ok! Gwen lets out a deep breath, releasing her of all the emotions she has felt for the past 30 minutes and relief and thankfulness fills her body as a genuine smile took ownership on her face. Gwen knew she couldn't greet Peter the way she wanted to and it was absolutely killing her.

"Spiderman!" Luke exclaims when he sees Spiderman beside him. "Thank you. Thank you for everything you do! This is such an honor," Luke reaches out his hand.

Peter shakes his hand, "No, thank you. Really." All the times Gwen has witnessed Spiderman address a fan, he has always been goofy or comical, but here, she can hear the concern in his voice.

Then the paramedic in him comes back to life, "Are, you ok? Do I need to do anything for you?"

"No, I'm fine thank you. How is she?" Peter ask with the same concern.

Gwen answers before Luke can, "I'm fine. Only two stitches."

"Luke," a voice calls from another ambulance and Luke thanks Spiderman again before he is off.

Gwen looks back at Peter and she could tell she was met with staring eyes. "Come on, I'm taking you home," Peter demands.

As they swing back to Gwen's apartment not a single word was verbally spoken, but the grip they had on each other spoke plenty. Peter dropped Gwen of at a neighboring building of her apartment so she wouldn't be seen with Spiderman. Peter kept a close eye on Gwen as she walked into her building and once he knew she was safely inside, he swung to her rooftop for a quick change. Peter made it to Gwen's window he noticed that she had already opened it for him and was waiting for him on her couch. The sound of the window shutting alerted Gwen and she rose from the couch to embrace the man that had consumed her thoughts. Once she faces Peter, she could see the same relief in his eyes that was in her eyes. Once more, no words were spoken. The only thing that they wanted was the other in their arms. They didn't care how longed they stood there, they were not going to pull away. Not going to look the other in the eye. Not going to kiss the lips of the person they were holding. They knew that there were others that were more seriously hurt than them, but in this moment they didn't care about being selfish. Didn't care about being in the arms of the person they loved or the person they loved being in their arms.

After moments past, Gwen breaks the silence between the two, rasping, "Peter, I was so scared. When I saw that bird fly away with you dangling from a web." Gwen trails off before meeting Peter's eyes with her voice laced with fear. "I was so scared," Was all she could say while placing her hand on his brings one of his hands to Gwen's and places a light kiss in her palm. He travels down her arm leaving loving kisses behind and when he gets to the bandage on her bicep he places a longer kiss hoping that his healing abilities would transfer. He then moves to her cheek and down to her lips. It was a light, lingering kiss full of the emotions from the day.

After Peter pulls away, his concerns became verbal, "Are you ok?"

"Peter, it's just a scratch," Gwen answers.

Peter shakes his head and continues in confusion, "Why were you there? That was seven blocks in the opposite direction from your gym."

"I knew something bad was happening and my first instinct was to get to you," Gwen confesses.

"I love you for wanting to protect me, but I can handle myself. What I can't handle is thinking you are around the mess," Peter declares, trying to keep his voice calm. "Gwen it hasn't been a month since I promised your father that I could keep you safe. That what I do will not get you hurt. And now look, you have stitches in your arm because of me," Peter speaks with remorse. And that was it; the tone, the guilt, the look in his eyes. Gwen has seen this far too many times to not know what was about to happen. He was going to leave. Again. She knew beneath all of his promises, his confessed love, his wanting, that his guilt and worry would be too strong. Gwen knew deep down that the past nine days were too good to be true. That the Spiderman in him would convince Peter that he wasn't good for her. "And…"

"I cannot believe you," Gwen interrupts backing out of Peter's embrace. Shaking her head disbelieving at what just transpired, "What was I thinking? You promise me that you were in this for good and then you make love to me." Gwen's voices begins to rise, "But silly me, I thought that maybe this would last for more than I don't know, nine days."

"Gwen," Peter tries.

"But that's right, you are the guy who likes to rip the rug out from under me just when I think we are on stable ground."

"Gwen," Peter repeats.

"You freak out over some stupid scratch and want to run away from us again when I have to sit and wait, wondering if you are ever coming home again. Please Peter, tell me who got the short end of the straw here." Gwen demands.

Peter walks quietly over to Gwen and places both hands on her cheeks. He looks into her reddening eyes and takes a deep breath in before reassuring her, "Gwen, I'm not leaving. I meant it when I said, 'I'm here until you tell me otherwise'." Gwen lets out a relived sigh while shutting her eyes. A small smile forms on her face before Peter's lips cover them. Once Peter pulls away from the kiss, he is met with a smile full of love it overflows into her eyes. "And what I failed to say was that," Peter guides Gwen to her couch. "I overreacted, and I'm sorry," Peter apologizes with his doe-eyes. "But when I saw the bandage on your arm—no matter how small or insignificant it may be—my mind went right back to the clock tower," Peter's solemnly speaks. Gwen's head slightly rises with acknowledgement while listening to Peter, "And I know that, that night is in the past and you are fine, and you are fine tonight. But when I see that you are hurt because of me, it kills me—I need you to be safe. And I know that helping others and protecting the ones you love is in your blood. It's one of the many reasons why I fell in love with you—it's also the thing that infuriates me themost about you," Peter announces the latter with a laugh. Gwen lets out a knowing laughing, letting Peter continue, "But I can handle what comes my way. I have the abilities to face these people." Gwen nods understandingly but Peter wants a verbal answer, "Ok?"

"Ok," Gwen answers sympathetically. She tilts her head to the side speaking compassionately, "I need you to be safe too."

"I will be," Peter declares with the same compassion caressing Gwen's cheek. "I have so much to live for and no one will take that away from me."

"I love you," Gwen rasps.

"I love you," Peter quietly states beforeleaning in to meet Gwen's soft lips.

After a few tender, lingering kisses, Peter welcomes Gwen into his side as he wraps his arm around her small frame. They sit in silence for a while, both enjoying the quiet after the events form earlier that evening. Without taking her eyes off her coffee table, Gwen states the obvious, "You think this was Harry's doing don't you". Neither move nor neither speaks. "Peter," Gwen quietly encourages him to answer.

"Hmm," Peter sounds.

Gwen knew Peter. Knew his movements, facial expressions, sounds and mostly when he tries to avoid a question. "Do you think Harry is behind this?"

Peter bends down to give Gwen a chaste kiss on the top of her head and then removes his arm from her body while rising from the couch, "I better put thatchicken on if we want to eat at a decent hour."

Gwen purses her lips nodding her head knowingly, "Are we seriously not going to talk about this?" Gwen stands and Peter turns to face her.

He walks back towards her and strokes her arms, "Not tonight." Gwen tries to interject but Peter cuts her off, coaxing, "Tonight, you are going to run a warm bath, I'm going to start dinner and then bring you a glass of wine. And if you obey, I might cuddle with you," Peter feigns dislike.

"Oh you will?" Gwen wryly nods.

"Mmhmm," Peter smiles not giving in.

"Well, I better do what you say then, hadn't I?" Gwen saunters to her bathroom. She turns back around to Peter and expresses with distastes, "Actually you know what I don't want chicken,"

"Ok, what do you want then?" Peter asks amusingly.

"I don't know. Something really bad for us," Gwen smiles like a child.

"Pizza?" Peter asks.

"Perfect." Gwen smiles before heading to start her bath.

As Peter hangs up the phone he remembers he needs to wash his suit so he grabs it out of his bag and calls back to Gwen when he sees her hamper with dirty clothes ready to be washed. "Gwen do you mind if I throw in my suit with your clothes?"

"That's fine. Thank you," Gwen calls back. "Cold please."

Peter starts the load and he can't keep his mind off of the night's prior events. What made him most nerves about the situation was that mechanical creatures were starting to show up more frequent. All the times before, Peter had been able to destroy the creature, but tonight was different. Tonight the creature only seemed to want to toy with Peter. He knew it would be back, and be back with more power. The more these mechanical creatures started showing up, the more Peter couldn't deny Harry's involvement with this plot. Peter pretty much knew the why part, but how was he doing it? And who was he teaming up with? Then something occurred to Peter, the Rhino, the Beatle and now the Bird—or whatever name the Bugle will name it—have all made their appearance when Gwen has been in the city. Peter's heart sank. Are they planning to go after her to get to me? He knew he had to tell Gwen. Tell her to pay closer attention when she is out. But how could he do it without scaring her? "You son of a bitch," Peter breathes while rubbing his face. A knock on the door brought Peter out of his thoughts and for a split second he thought the worse. "Calm yourself, it's the pizza man," Peter told himself.

Peter paid the pizza man and then he poured Gwen a glass of wine that he forgot. As he made his way to Gwen's bathroom he was met with a serene Gwen, "No one will take her way from me," he thinks to himself. He doesn't want to bother her, so he gingerly walked towards the bathtub to place her glass down when she turns to greet her guest. "Hey," Gwen welcomes with a relaxed smile.

"Hey," Peter mimics. "Sorry, I got caught up with the laundry," Peter apologizes while placing the glass on the ledge.

"It's no problem Peter. Thank you," Gwen smiles. Peter kneels by the bathtub to be closer to Gwen and she hesitantly asks, "I heard the pizza man, do I have to get out?"

"No," Peter shakes his head upliftingly. He examines the tub and then curiously asks Gwen, "Is there room for me?"

"I've been waiting on you," Gwen impatiently declares.

"Alright," Peter beams. Peter doesn't take off his clothes, he just steps into the tub filled with bubbles laughing through his smile.

"Peter," Gwen animatedly laughs. "Come here," she tugs on his shirt, pulling him to her, while placing a loving kiss to his uplifted lips. They end their day exactly how they wanted—in the arms of the person they loved most in the world.

Hope you liked it! I want you all to know that I am think of another Peter/Gwen story involving a few missing scenes from TASM 1 and moments between the two from the first movie to the second.
