Chapter 4

I Do Not Own Fairy Tail

"I've said it before and I'll say it a million times more: this day sucks," Natsu said irritably, holding an ice pack on his head.

After Mira had trapped him on the couch she lunged at him making Natsu put his arms up to defend himself. Not feeling any pain, he looked between his arms to see Mira giving him a teasing smirk before hitting him over the head, hard. She had faked him out in order to get him to drop his guard and unleash a devastating punch to the top his head. The dragon slayer fell off the couch and into the fetal position while nursing his throbbing wound. While he was writhing in agony, Mira took her older brother and draped him over her shoulder and went upstairs to his room. She figured that when he woke up in his bed he would assume that everything he saw was just a bad dream.

Coming back down the stairs she found Natsu in the fridge with a small towel filled with ice cubes. Seeing him pout and look so upset made her giggle at how cute he look, which alerted Natsu to her presence. Sending a scowl in his direction he gingerly placed the towel filled with ice cubes on his head and headed back to the living room with Mira following behind him, her chuckles never ceasing. As of right now the two were seated on the couch. Mira had taken off her high heeled boots, leaving her legs bare and folded underneath her. Her elbow dug into the side of the couch cushion, her hand cradling her head as she stared at the side of Natsu's head. Natsu sat lazily less than a foot away from her, his legs spread out and a grimace on his face.

"Oh come one, today hasn't been a total bust, has it. I thought it was fun." Mira was being completely genuine. Despite how their date started with her kidnapping him, nearly taking out his eye in the music store and his exile from the movies, she found herself having a very enjoyable time with the dragon slayer.

"Yeah well, tell that to my head. It would disagree," Natsu responded sourly, his face set in a pout. A frown marred Mirajane's fair features before turning into a devious smirk.

"Hey, I wouldn't have hit you if you hadn't touched my boob…again. And is it a coincidence that it happened to be the same one from before?" Mira poked him in his cheek repeatedly with the end of her finger whilst reminding him of his past actions. She took enjoyment in seeing his face become flustered at be reminded of what happened at the movies and just a few minutes ago.

"Ok one," he started, not looking at her directly as he felt his face was on fire and he didn't like the mischievous look she was giving him in his peripheral vision, "you grabbed me from behind and dragged me into a dark, cramped space. I didn't know it was you, so of course I was going to fight back!" Natsu defended.

"So squeezing my breast was, what, some new attack move you came up with? Or were you trying to find the light switch in my shirt?" Mira voiced sarcastically.

"As a matter of fact, I have been working on this new move called Fire Dragon's Grip Strike. You wanna see it?" Nastu asked excitedly only to get bopped on top of the top. Luckily it wasn't on the same spot as his other injury.

"Does that answer your question, hothead?" she asked lamely.

"…yeah." He muttered under his breath.

"So what do we say?" she asked him, like a mother talking to their child.

"That the whole thing was your fault?" Natsu responded with a smug smile in her direction.

"Natsu!" She pulled the hand that was poking him back and made a fist in warning to his comment.

"Fine, I'm sorry! Happy now?!" He shouted in defeat, his hands having been thrown in the air for protection. Unclenching her fist, Mira patted the top of his head, careful not to touch him on his tender spot.

"Yes. Now was that so hard." She smiled.

"Stop it." Natsu swatted her hand away and sent her a small smile but immediately turned away and pouted remembering why he was upset in the first place. The atmosphere between the two had drastically changed from how it was earlier in the day. They were more relaxed around each other and acted how they usually did when around one another. Realizing this Mira's features softened as well as turn slightly mischievous.

"You got that look in your eye and I don't like it." Natsu scooted away from Mira, ice pack forgotten, after seeing the enamored expression she usually made whenever she saw him either pout or was on the verge of tears. Hearing his words, Mirajane decided to see how far she could push the seemingly dense dragonslayer as well as test how far she could actually get physically with him. Putting her hands on the couch she seductively crawled towards him each time he scooted away from her.

"What's wrong Natsu, don't tell me you're scared of little ole me?" The half lidded expression she had mixed with how husky she made her voice had Natsu's blood pumping erratically. The way she swung her hips with each movement combined with the amount of cleavage she was showing in her tight top wasn't helping him either. Before he knew it he was once again trapped underneath her, except this time his whole body was lying horizontally on the couch. Dropping onto her elbows, Mirajane and Natsu's faces were mere inches from each other. She straddled him with her upper body pressed firmly against his torso. Both mages sported red blushes as the feeling of Mirajane's sizeable breasts pressing into Natsu's pectorals coursed throughout their body and plagued their minds with less than innocent thoughts.

Mira was never one to let fear dictate what she would do next and now was one of those times. For the majority of the day, if not most of her time spent around Natsu in general, she was always hesitant on how to act. It was the reason that she antagonized him for most of their childhood. It was her outlet for expressing her feelings towards him without having anyone, especially Lisanna, noticing. Little did she know, she was also fooling herself just as much as she was fooling the others. Fear had hindered her from advancing with Natsu and letting her sister get the head start.

'Well not anymore. Now it's my turn!' she thought, determination burning through her veins. Taking her arms she grabbed Natsu's still hands and wrapped them around her waist, just above her butt. After doing so she wrapped her arms around his neck and laid her chin on his sternum. Seeing the timid and inquisitive look in his eye Mira playfully blew in his face making him stop and blink.

"What you looking at?" she asked rather impishly.

"I'm looking at you and wondering why you're on my chest and wrapped around me like a blanket," Natsu responded in kind, his voice taking on a serious tone, but the blush on his face took away from what he was trying to accomplish.

"What, I'm exhausted. It's been a long day and if you haven't noticed, hanging out with you can get rather tiresome," she told him with a fake yawn in an attempt to convince him. With him being so naïve it worked like a charm.

"Hey it isn't a picnic with you either." He retorted. Rather than argue with him, which her inner demon urged her to for him talking back, Mira just laid her head on his chest. In an effort to make herself more comfortable, Mira wiggled and squirmed on top of Natsu, adjusting her position to find a more suitable way to lie on him. A number of times she intentionally moved her body as to brush certain parts of hers against him in a suggestive way to get a rise out of the dragonslayer, which worked more often than not. The pink blush he had made her inwardly celebrate on how much of an effect she could have on him.

"Hey, Mira, what about Elfman? He's upstairs and I don't think he'll be happy if he sees us like this." Natsu questioned, wishing to distract her long enough so she would stop moving and for the blood in both his heads to go down. Mira looked at him skeptically, wondering why he would care.

"And since when do you care what Elfman thinks?" she asked.

"I don't, but I don't want him getting mad at you. I could give two shits what he thinks of me, but you're his sister so it's different." He said seriously. Mira had a brief moment of elation at hearing how he was worried about her image in front of her brother. It was another thing that attracted her to him; the world could be falling around him yet he would take it in stride and fight against it; as long as those dear to him were safe and out of harm's way. She looked at Natsu with a fond and endearing smile, one that he was unaware that she could even give. He had seen her become noticeably softer when it came to her siblings but he had never seen Mirajane make such a smile let alone at him of all people. Though it was alien to him, he felt strangely captivated by it as well.

"Thanks for thinking of me, but I'm a big girl and Elfman's older sister. He can't tell me what to do and what I want to do," she fell back into the first position she had on his body, "is lay right here." She finished leaving no room for argument. Natsu was ready to drop it but a nagging thought in the back of his head made him speak up.

"But what about Lisanna? We promised her that we'd come back to the guild and we've been gone for a long time. I really didn't feel right leaving her like that and with just Happy, you know. She loves to spoil him so I know he's up to his eyes in fish and probably in a food coma right about now, leaving her alone." Mira lightly growled at being reminded that she did in fact promise Lisanna she would return with Natsu later on in the day. They had been gone for quite a while and she was certain the sun was about to set soon.

A spark of rage and bitterness ignited in her heart. She had finally started to make some actual progress with Natsu, but she had to be reminded of her sister's feelings as well. Mira may be known as a demon, and sometimes a sadistic person, but she would never willingly hurt her sister just to get what she wants. Even if it was only once. She loved her too much to hurt her like that.

However that didn't mean she couldn't enjoy being with Natsu in an intimate way for the time being. She had told Lisanna she and Natsu would return but she never told her when. Thanking her unanticipated loophole, Mira looked up at Natsu with a smirk.

"Ok, how about this," she lifted her head to look directly into Natsu's onyx orbs with her own deep blue ones, "we can go back to the guild but on two conditions, ok?" she propositioned. Natsu rose an eyebrow at her, wondering what she was up to but her expression told him the otherwise.

"Ok, deal. What do you want," he asked.

"One, we stay like this for another hour." She blushed, as well as Natsu at her incentive.

"A-Alright, and two?" Swallowing thickly Mira told him her second condition.

"…I get a present from you of my choosing. I won't tell you what it is, but when I ask you to do something, I want you to do it. It's just two simple steps. Alright?"

"Wait how can I give you a present if I don't know what you want and you won't tell me until later? Won't it be too late to give it to you by then?" Natsu wondered aloud.

"Don't worry about it. So…do we have a deal?" She took an arm from around his neck and put her hand in front of his with all her fingers turned into each other except for her pinky finger. Still pondering on what she wanted as a gift Natsu decided to worry about it later and connected his pinky with while giving her a large grin.

"Deal."

"Good, now put your arm back around me," she demanded lightly, sighing happily when he obeyed as she felt his hand land back in its spot on her lower back. The two were wrapped in each other's arms and found themselves in a comfortable silence, nearing wanting to say a word. The only sounds heard were their light breathing, Elfman's deafening snores from upstairs and the insects outside.

"Hey…Natsu," Mira whispered, her voice taking on a soft tone.

"Yeah…" he replied, just as softly.

"Did you…did you enjoy…today? You said that today sucked right…so…did it?" Natsu was curious as to why she would ask him such a question. Today had been a rollercoaster for him since early that morning. With Lisanna hassling him over Valentine's Day and then giving him an awesome present, to Mira's abduction of him in broad daylight and them hanging out together, to Elfman busting in on them in a compromising position on the kitchen floor after just having an epic splash fight after eating another one of Mira's delicious meals, Natsu was thoroughly exhausted. However, he wouldn't say the day sucked. If anything it was like an adventure with twist and turns everywhere you looked. When he thought he was safe and in the green, fate would throw a curveball his way making everything that much interesting. If anything he rather enjoyed today.

"Nah, today didn't suck. I was just mad about a few things. Today was great and a lot of fun," he smiled with his eyes closed. Instinctively he tightened his hold around Mira's face, which didn't go unnoticed by the Take-Over mage who had to bite her bottom lip to hold back a squeal. Calming her nerves after his unconscious action, Mira swallowed the lump in her throat and spoke again.

"So…you wouldn't mind if we…you know…did something like this again sometime. Would ya? Just the two of us?" she whispered, internally cursing herself for sounding so timid, but nevertheless praising herself for actually speaking up. Taking a minute to process what she said Natsu responded.

"You mean…like another date…yeah…I'd like that. Let's do it again sometime," Natsu leaned his head until it almost touched his neck and gave Mira his famous toothy grin. Mira smiled back at him, elated that he agreed to another date. She laid her head on his chest, using his scarf as a makeshift pillow and rested her hand in the material lightly grabbing onto it almost like a life line. She didn't want this moment of her and Natsu being so intimate with each other to end. It had taken her years to come to this point and she refused to let him go. She knew that she had to keep her word and leave for the guild in the next hour, but until that hour came she would bask in this moment. Closing her eyes she focused on the steady beating of Natsu's heart which aided in calming her nerves, so much so that she found herself falling asleep. However, it would seem that Natsu was still curious about something.

"Really though, Mira, what about Elfman? What if he comes down stairs? Because if he does and starts swinging, I'm gonna lay his big ass out!" Mira giggled at his typical brazen attitude.

"I used a sleep spell on him, so he should be out for the next few hours." She told him and then snuggled into his scarf. 'It's so warm. But is it because of him or is it the scarf?' she wondered. The heat from Natsu's body plus the weight of the day on her shoulders made Mira's eyelids feel like they weighed a ton. Giving into her exhaustion she fell asleep on Natsu's chest. Said dragonslayer looked down to see the beautiful demon snoozing away and couldn't help but smile at the image. 'She may be mean, terrifying and all around evil most of the time but…she can be pretty sweet as well. It would be awesome if she were like this all the time… but I wouldn't trade this Mira anytime soon though.'

xXx

When the agreed upon hour was up, Mira awoke and rose from off Natsu's chest. She rubbed at her eyes and asked if he was ready, but when she was met with silence she looked down and saw that he too was asleep. Mira lightly blushed and cooed at seeing Natsu look so peaceful and cute while sleeping. What with his light snoring, his light bed head, and his tight grasp on his scarf like a security blanket. It took a considerable effort on her part to not squeal at the sight and tackle him in a hug and smother him in her bosom. However all things must come to an end and she had to keep her end of the bargain. Shaking his chest with her hand she was effective in waking him up.

"Huh, whazup. Eh, what's up Mira?" Natsu yawned, his eyes lidded and unfocused while he stared at her and then swiped his gaze to the rest of the room.

"It's time to leave for the guild sleeping beauty." Mira got up from the couch and stretch her arms to get the kinks out before doing the same to her back.

"Huh, time sure does fly." Natsu copied the same routine and turned his neck until he felt a light pop making him sigh contently. When he turned to Mira he found her bending over in an attempt to touch her toes which gave him an excellent view of her round, firm bottom pressing tightly against the material of her short shorts. Just looking at her ass quickly turned to Natsu checking her out from head to toe. He had always seen Mira as a pretty girl, just like he viewed the rest of his female friends such as Lisanna, Levy, Cana and on occasion Erza, when she wasn't rampaging through the guild like an armored avenger. However unlike the others he had never taken the time to actually admire them in depth like he was doing with Mira.

He quickly realized that Mira wasn't just the average cute girl, but she was gorgeous. Looking back on it he could see why all the males close in their age range both inside and outside the guild had asked her out and in some cases, become infatuated with her. Her charms weren't just effective on teenagers but also grown men as well. He could also see why Sorcerer Weekly had heavily recruited her as one of their models. As his eyes traveled from her bottom to her narrow waist and wide hips his vision traverse past her toned midsection to her ample chest that was stretching the fabric of her crop top to its limits. Natsu nervously swallowed the lump in his throat as he finally realized how scantily Mirajane dressed and couldn't help but inwardly applaud at her taste in fashion.

However when his vision reached its final destination he was met the hardened glare of the older mage. Feeling a cold breeze blow against him Natsu stood perfectly still in his spot as he and Mira engaged in an impromptu staring contest that was scaring Natsu shitless. While picturing his death while looking into her now steel blue eyes, Natsu was thrown for a loop when Mira smirked seductively at him and turned away with a swish of her long flowing hair. Once again bending over she took the bags that he had bought at the foot of the couch and stood straight but not without giving the dragonslayer a show as she sensually rose back up flipping her hair behind her and purposefully arching back to make her best assets look bigger and more enticing which surprisingly worked on the usually dense mage. Stepping in front of him she took his hand and deposited his bags into his opened one. The whole time she maintained eye contact with him, their faces so close their breathing was mixing between them.

When she stepped away she walked towards the door, opened it and leaned against it with her leg propped up in its frame while giving him an expectant, yet also a sultry look.

"Well, come on let's go. Put your eyes back in your head and pick your tongue off the floor, perv." She teased him while giving him a playful wink. Shaking off his stupor Natsu walked past her without making eye contact and waited in the middle of the walkway as she locked the door. Starting again they left the Strauss household and entered the town fairly quickly, neither having said a word since they left. Natsu was too confused and embarrassed at what had happened earlier to speak up and didn't feel comfortable to speak either thinking Mira may hit him for it. Mira however had taken shameful pleasure at having Natsu ogle her like that even if it was a short amount of time. Usually she would be disgusted with a guy leering at her but seeing as how Natsu rarely ever gave her, and any other attractive female for that matter, a second glance, she took this as a personal victory.

'I knew my charms would win him over eventually," she boasted mentally. As the guild drew nearer Mira decided that now as the best time to receive her present.

"Hey Natsu, come with me for a second." Not giving him time to speak, Mira grasped his open hand and brought him under a tree just a few yards away from the guild, the shade from the leaves partially shadowing their figures from sight.

"What's up?" Natsu asked seeing the look of determination but also hesitation in her large blue eyes.

"Remember what I said, that when we come back, I get a present from you of my choosing," she reminded him.

"Yeah, I remember, but what do you want? You never told me." Natsu was taken back when Mira's eyes took on a bold and determined look to them, any remnants of her hesitation and fear utterly gone.

"Close your eyes." Natsu blinked at her.

"Say what?" He said baffled.

"I said close your eyes. I told you that you had to do whatever I say. Just for the next few minutes." She explained.

"But...what…ugh! Whatever fine." He obeyed and closed his eyes tight.

"Now lean forward." Natsu listened to her command and leaned slightly toward her.

"Now hold still…and don't…move." She spoke softly lifting her hands and placing them on his cheeks. Natsu was confused on what she meant but when he felt a pair of soft lips press against his he opened his eyes to see Mira kissing him. The Mirajane Strauss, renowned beauty of Fairy Tail and its resident demon was in fact kissing him on the lips. And from the feel of it she wasn't stopping anytime soon.

Now normally Natsu's instincts would kick him and tell him to pull away and question whether or not she was truly Mira or if she lost her mind somewhere between now and leaving her house. But now the only thing his instincts told him to do was to reciprocate and enjoy it for all that it was worth. And enjoy it he did. Closing his eyes, Natsu placed his hands on Mirajane's hips. Slowly he pushed her until her back hit the tree and when doing so her hands moved to wrap behind his neck just like how she had done while lying on the couch. Lacing her fingers she kissed Natsu deeper and prodded his closed lips with her tongue, her mind taking a page out of one of her romance novels. Natsu with all of his inexperience is such matters simply let Mira do as she pleased. Feeling her tongue graze his bottom lip, Natsu was tentative to do anything but assumed she wanted him to do something with her tongue's excessive movement, so he copied her actions. Opening his mouth slightly he moved his tongue towards hers. The second their oral muscles came into contact a surge of what felt like lightning coursed through their bodies causing them to open their eyes and pull apart. Both mages jumped apart from each other and took in deep breathes to replenish their searing lungs. Scarlet blushes that would put the color of Erza's hair to shame covered their faces as they looked away from one another not knowing how to continue from here. A pregnant pause had come over the two but was broken by Natsu.

"Was that it?" Mira turned her head slightly to glance at him out the corner of her eye and he did as well.

"Your present?" he clarified. A slow nod from Mira confirmed his belief but did nothing to stop his rapidly beating heart. Looking away he smiled warmly, choosing to ignore the pounding in his chest.

"That was…nice." Mira's eyes widened for a brief moment but she too smiled warmly and rested a hand above her heart, it too hammering inside her chest. She didn't know whether or not it was because of the kiss, the embarrassment that followed after it, or the fact that Natsu genuinely enjoyed it like she had.

"Yeah, it was." Stepping closer to him she took his hand and led him down the path to Fairy Tail, her smile never fleeting. Though she was a little upset that he didn't return the kiss, he made up for it by reaching out for her like he did and ultimately attempting to return it. She assumed that the reason he didn't kiss back in the beginning was because he had never done it before. Truth be told she hadn't either so she was going off of what she had heard from inside the guild and from what she read. With each source of reference, the idea and scenario of a girl's first kiss was the most romantic moment of her life, second only to their wedding day. Her first kiss sadly wasn't what she expected and fantasized about but nevertheless it still filled her heart with joy and with hope as well. If her younger self were to know what she'd did, she would more than likely try to kick her ass for acting so stupid. However, instead of feeling ashamed of it, Mira couldn't be happier. Today truly was the best Valentine's Day she ever had.

Once they made it to the guild's entrance Mira stopped, making Natsu halt as well, and turned to him with her head down as she looked at the ground and her shoes.

"Thanks for today Natsu, and sorry for you know…hitting you…and dragging you from the guild…and your eye…and the movies…and-" Her apologetic monologue was interrupted by the fire mage's warm calloused hand clapping her on the shoulder gently. Looking up she was greeted the same large grin that would release the butterflies in her stomach.

"Don't worry about it. Like I said before, today was great. Just let a guy know when you wanna hang out though. Kidnapping isn't the way to go for most things. Trust me, I know." Natsu muttered the last bit under his breath, but Mirajane still caught it and giggled at imaging Natsu kidnapping someone for something stupid and either Erza, Lisanna or the Master reprimanding him for such an action.

"Well I guess you better get in there. I'm pretty sure Lisanna is worried sick about you. Lord knows she's always fawning over how you're doing when she isn't around." A bitter smile crossed Mira's face despite her attempts at making it seem authentic. Luckily for her Natsu hadn't paid any attention to it as his focus was on the doors in front of them.

"Yeah, I hope she isn't too upset with us coming back so late. I kind of felt bad leaving Happy with her and-OH crap the present she got me! Ah I left it behind too. Man, and it was so cool. Hopefully she kept it because if some prick took it I'm hunting them down." Pushing the doors open Natsu poked his head inside the guild and looked for a head of white short hair. Finding his target he opened the doors fully and walked inside and looked back to tell Mira he found her. However, Mira made no attempt to enter the guild, her figure still standing outside.

"Hey, you coming or not? I found her so come on." Natsu nudged his head towards the main hall in a gesture that said to follow him. Shaking her head Mira crossed her arms over her chest and gave him a small smile.

"Nah, I'm good. I'm gonna head back to the house and make sure Elfman is ok. Thinking back, I think I put a little too much into that sleep spell than needed. I don't want to get scolded by the Master and/or Lisanna for accidently putting my brother in a coma." Mira lied. Luckily for her Natsu took what she said at face value as he nodded in understanding. He was on the receiving end of more than enough disciplinary scoldings from the Master or Lisanna, so he understood where she was coming from. Although they were bad and a pain in the ass, he would take those over one of Erza's lessons any day of the week. Those sometimes literally were a pain in the ass.

"Oh yeah, that would suck. Would be funny as hell but it would be kind of bad if you left Elfman like that." Mira gave a curt nod in response and hooked her finger in his black wristband, effectively keeping him in place.

"Oh yeah, but before I go, don't tell Lisanna this was a date or that we kissed." Natsu rose an eyebrow at her in confusion.

"Why not? It was a date, right? Besides I don't want to lie to her if she asks me." Natsu told her.

"You won't be lying just…withholding information. Just tell her we just hung out, which is what we technically did. Trust me, you don't want to tell her; she'll definitely get mad." Mira explained. When he continued to stare at her baffled she said again, "It's a girl thing, ok."

Hearing that it was a female thing was all Natsu needed to know. He had found out that girls were strange and complex creatures and had stopped trying to figure them out long ago. This whole day was an example of that.

"Fine, I won't tell her." Natsu sighed. "Good, now…" Mira shoved him aside and pushed the doors even wider making them slam against the wall, effectively alerting the guild to their presence.

"Yo Lisanna, I brought back your little boyfriend! I'll see you at the house when you two are done!" Both Natsu and her younger sister blushed at her statement, Lisanna more than Natsu as his was more out of irritation than anything.

'Damn it! Lisanna will probably tease me later about being my wife! Thanks a lot Mira!' Almost as if she could read his mind, Mira glanced at Natsu over her shoulder and winked at him and mouthed the words 'You're welcome'. When she closed the doors Natsu sighed and made his way towards the two females and the exceed. As he approached he saw Cana get up and say bye to Lisanna and make her way towards him. As they neared each other they stopped and greeted one another.

"Yo."

"Yo right back. Glad to see you made it back in once piece, Natsu. I was actually thinking of making a betting pool on how Mira murdered you after seeing her take you away this morning. She looked like an actual demon outside of her transformations." Cana told him jokingly.

"Yeah, today was something else but we had fun." Natsu responded while rubbing his neck with his hand.

"Oh, I bet you two did have fun." She smirked knowingly as well as her tone turning lewd. Natsu rose an eyebrow at her expression but decided to ignore it thinking it's just Cana be herself. Shaking his head he dismissed himself from their conversation and walked past her but the next words out of her mouth froze him in place.

"Oh yeah, before you go over and talk to Lisanna, you might want to wipe the lip gloss off your mouth. You look girly and you smell like cherries." Natsu sputtered at her words and licked his lips to examine whether or not she was telling the truth or just fucking with him, it wouldn't be the first time (get your minds out of the gutter). Truth be told, she was right and Natsu furiously wiped his mouth with the back of his hand and inwardly cursed the cards mage who was mockingly laughing at him while walking back to the bar. Getting the offending substance off his lips Natsu continued his way over to Lisanna who had Happy napping in her lap. Seeing her favorite dragon slayer coming towards her, Lisanna shot him the biggest smile she could.

"Welcome back Natsu," Lisanna greeted sweetly, her pale cheeks tinted pink.

"Hey Lisanna, what's up. Sorry for taking such a long time but your sister can be a handful." Natsu laughed as he took a seat across the table from her.

"Hey, be nice. She isn't that bad, she can be very sweet when she wants to be." Lisanna told him, quick to defend her big sister.

"Yeah I know, I'm just messing with you. I actually had a good time hanging out with her. We actually thought about doing it again sometime." Natsu smiled. Lisanna's eyes widened at hearing that Natsu and Mira would be spending more time together but she smiled in return, albeit it was forced.

"Oh…really…that's great. I'm happy you guys are getting along." As hard as she tried to sound sincere, the slight pain in her chest wouldn't let her.

"Yeah who knew she could be so cool. But, even though hanging with Mira was fun… I missed being here with my two best friends." Natsu reached over and scratched the back of Happy's ear making the sleeping feline purr in satisfaction. Glancing up he shot Lisanna a warm look that made the pain in her chest subside.

'He's so thoughtful even when he doesn't' mean to be.'

"And I missed you being here." She whispered, inwardly squealing after watching Natsu blush. "Shame on you Natsu, leaving your wife and child for another woman. Have you no shame?" she said teasingly, a cute pout coming to her face while she tightened her hold on Happy.

"Oh come on, not this again!" 'Thanks for nothing Mira.'

The two then began to childishly argue on the matter of their 'family' which soon turned into laughs and teasing remarks between the two. While talking with Lisanna, Natsu couldn't help but compare his time with her and with Mirajane. Both had something that the other didn't such as Lisanna's kindness and Mirajanes's rogue nature, both of which attracted the pink haired young man. As much as he enjoyed being around Lisanna, he couldn't deny that he felt the same while being around Mirajane. He wasn't sure what his feelings for the two sisters were but he knew that it was something he was unfamiliar with. He usually could get a good bead on his feelings but with the two Strauss siblings, he was about as confused as when Erza tried to teach him math. Both females made his heart beat faster and could make him act differently from how he normally would without even trying. He didn't know what the emotion was but he'd be lying if he said he completely hated it.

As night time approached, Natsu and Lisanna found themselves on the path towards the Strauss household. Taking her house key from her dress pocket Lisanna opened the door and called for her siblings who responded from the living room.

"Hey, Lisanna good to see you're back. I was about to go to the guild and pick you up myself." Mira called from the sofa.

"What's up Natsu?" Elfman greeted, his voice booming.

"Sup Elfman, you feeling better after your nap?" Both Lisanna and Elfman shot Natsu confused glances at his question. Mira on the other hand face palmed at his stupidity.

"I'm feeling fine, but how did you know I wasn't feeling well?" Elfman questioned skeptically.

'Was the dream I had really a dream or…' Before he could piece together what he thought was all in his head, Mira swooped in to remedy the situation.

"Oh, I told him that I was coming back to check on you after you hit your head on the kitchen floor. Isn't that right, Natsu?" Mira's expression told Natsu to agree with her or else punishment was in order.

"Y-Yeah, she's right. I just wanted to make sure you were ok man, you took a pretty hard spill there. Seems all that manliness is no match for the ground," Nastu teased, glad that his change in topic and jibe made the larger mage forget about his mistake.

"If you were a real man, you'd say that to my face." Elfman roared, rising to the bait.

"I think you left that on the ground too." Natsu smirked, stuffing his hands in his pockets showing no sign of fear. Rising from the couch Elfman made an attempt to charge at Natsu but an outstretched foot tripped him up making him fall face first to the floor which lead to Natsu busting out in hysterical laughter.

"Not in my house you aren't. If you two wanna fight do it outside." Mira said sternly, her hands on hips.

"Ahahahah, like a said, no match! Ground 2, Elfman nada! Is it too much for you pal, you need me to tag in for ya big guy!? Ahahaha- ow! Lisanna why did-OW! Dammit!" After laughing at Elfman's face plant, Natsu found himself squirming on the floor after Lisanna and Mirajane took it upon themselves to punish him for laughing at their beloved brother. Lisanna quite harshly despite her size, slapped Natsu's shoulder which was followed by a punch to the head courtesy of Mira.

"That isn't nice Natsu." Lisanna chided. Mira just gazed at him coldly, challenging him to speak up. In a cold sweat Natsu rose to his feet with his arms high in surrender.

"Ok ok, I won't laugh. Just don't bite my head off and stop with the physical abuse. I've had enough of that for one day." Lisanna rose her eyebrow at his statement and looked to Mira who just shook her head at her. Natsu helped Elfman back to his feet and the two young males bumped knuckles in a sign of friendship.

"So Natsu, are you staying over again?" Elfman asked.

"Nah, wish I could but I gotta head home. I would take Happy with me, but Lisanna refuses to give him up." Natsu shot his thumb towards the taller mages little sister who had a tight hold on the blue feline against her chest.

"Come on, he always stays with you. What's so bad about him staying with his mother," she pouted, her stating the other three mages to blush slightly and one amongst them to grind her teeth in annoyance.

"F-Fine, he can stay here. But I'm coming for him in the morning!" Natsu told her with a pointed glare.

"Yay, thanks Natsu! I'm going to put him down and get ready for bed."

"Yeah, that sounds like a good idea. I'm right behind you Lisanna," Elfman said with a yawn.

"Ok big brother. Natsu do you have Igneel Jr." Natsu pulled a shopping bag up that had the stuffed animal inside. "Awesome. Oh and Natsu, Happy Valentine's Day. I loved my gift, thank you." Lisanna's cheeks turned the same shade of pink as Natsu's hair as she flashed him a smile and took off upstairs. Elfman chuckled at his sister's actions and waved Nastu good bye before ascending the steps as well.

With now only Mirajane and Natsu left downstairs, and awkward silence hung over them like a silent phantom.

"Well, I guess it's time for me to go. I gotta go back to that record store in the morning to actually buy something to listen to this music with. Can't believe I forgot that while buying this stuff. I wonder whose fault that was." Natsu stated sarcastically as he shot a playful glare in Mira's direction who scoffed.

"Hey, I let you cop a feel on me twice and left you still standing. Count yourself lucky that I'm in a good mood punk. Or should I just tear your ears off now so that you don't have to worry about listening to music ever again." Mira told him with a devious look that had the effect of making Natsu turn slightly pale. Shaking his head from side to side in the gesture of no drew a smirk from Mira. "That's what I thought."

"Ugh, whatever. I guess I'll see you tomorrow morning Mira." Opening the door, Natsu stepped outside, ready to head home.

"Natsu!" Mira called.

"Wha-hmph" Turning around to see what she needed, Natsu was once again shocked to feel Mira's lips on his own. Unlike their first kiss under the tree, Mira made this one shorter but the added emotions behind it didn't go unnoticed by the dragon slayer. Pulling away, Mira leaned against the door frame and gave him her sweetest smile.

"Thanks for today and…Happy Valentine's Day." She said lovingly. Natsu's cheeks were as flushed as hers but he was able to keep his wits about him.

"Heh Happy Valentine's Day Mira." He shot her a grin before turning around and walking back onto the sidewalk. Looking over his shoulder he saw she was still in the door way and shot his hand up in a good bye which she responded with her own flirtatious wave of wiggling her fingers. When he was finally out of sight, Mira closed the door and walked upstairs. Checking in on her brother and sister she said goodnight, receiving good night hugs from both and entered her room. Taking her hair out of its regular ponytail she shook it out and went into the bathroom. After taking her ritualistic shower and applying lotion to her skin, Mira donned a large white t-shirt that went to her mid thighs. Underneath she wore a black thong and nothing else, reveling in the freedom that came with wearing as few clothes as possible. Turning off the light she strode over to her large comfy bed.

Sitting on the edge of her bed she grabbed a framed photo off her dresser and gazed at it fondly. It was the photo that Reedus had drew on the day that Happy had hatched from his egg. Rather than being drawn as he looked in reality, Reedus portrayed the cat as a light blue dragon. On top of said dragon was the eleven year old Natsu with the biggest smile she had ever seen on him. Her cheeks turned pink and the corner of her lips turned upward into a smile as stared at him. Pressing her index and middle fingers to her lips she brought them down and pressed them on top of the photo, right where Natsu was positioned. Setting the picture aside she crawled under the covers and snuggled deep into her mattress after finding a comfortable spot. Once again she touched her lips with her fingers, gingerly tracing them, still able to feel the warmth and flavor of Natsu's lips. Shameless it may seem to her, she longed to have Natsu in her bed, his strong arms wrapped around her midsection, pulling her flush against his chest or to have her facing him and they both passionately kiss each other until sleep over took them. With a sigh she shook her head and finally closed her eyes, letting the exhaustion and mental fatigue of the day lull her to sleep, a large smile painted on her fair features.

'Calm down Mirajane. You just kissed the guy, you've still got a lot more to do if you want him to like you. Although, he did say that he would be up for another date, so that's a start. And if that doesn't work, there is always next Valentine's Day."

The End

XxX

[A/N: Well hope you guys enjoyed this story. I didn't know how to exactly end this, I had to rewrite it multiple times, but I hope this is to your liking. Now onto other matters. Our Little Secret is in the works but it's going to take a while for me to get the chapter to my liking. I've already started on the next chapter of Model Behavior as well as outlining the next chapter of Rub a Dub Dub. Act of Kindness will be updated as well but it will be up in about three weeks. Sorry but college is kicking my ass with exams and I'm now in a basketball tournament so practice and games will take up some of my time writing. Just be patient for a bit. I was thinking of going on a month long hiatus to dedicate myself to just writing stories but I doubt that'll happened but it isn't off the table. Before I used to write several chapters in advance, but with so much going on writing just one is becoming difficult with time constraints. However I do intend to finish these stories. They may become longer than I had hoped but I will indeed finish them because I have others on my mind that I want to write. So read, review, favorite, follow and PM me, you guys know the drill.
