Hey Clexa Shippers! Wherever you are!

Lexa turned around making sure Gustus didn't follow her. She sighed and decided to rest to catch her breath. She hardly had the time to be alone without guards following her around. She had to sneak out to actually lose Gustus. This wasn't the first time she had done this. Gustus did politely asked her not to go out alone as it was too dangerous.

'Heda, if anything happens to you I fail to do my job. To protect you.' She remembered Gustus said it not long time ago. Gustus had been her guard ever since she was called to lead her people, to be the Commander. It was his job to protect her but he genuinely cared for her. She knew that but being the leader of the Grounders, feelings were just something she couldn't afford to have. She couldn't put one a priority over the other. She leaned against the tree and closed her eyes. She used to sneak out with Costia but now she was all alone.

"Costia." It felt quite sometime had passed since she called that name. It wasn't long that being in power would cost her someone she loved. It was a pain remainder how she failed to protect her. By telling herself that love was a weakness she was able to forget her love for Costia that she needed to be strong and ruthless to be able to lead her people. She had been doing a fine job at that. All the generals of the clans respected her and followed her commands without fail.

She took a deep breath and opened her eyes when she heard voices. Her warrior instinct took over and her hand reached for her sword on her waist but it wasn't there. She looked down and cursed. She had left her sword in her tent. She didn't even have her knife. She should know better than to leave without them. The voices were getting louder which means they were closed. She made herself small and her eyes followed the three people walking towards her.

"Sky People!" Her people had been in war with the Mountain Men and the Reapers. Now they had a new enemy. The people from the Sky. She was sure that they didn't see her so she decided to make a run for it.

"Grounders!" She heard someone screamed so she turned back to look at the intruders. One of them was pointing a gun at her but before she could react she heard a shot. She looked down to see her clothes started to turn red around her stomach. She clenched her fist in anger.

"Jasper! Don't!" She saw the blonde girl held out her hand in front of the guy. "Don't."

"Why the hell not!" She saw the guy's face was tensed and eager to kill her. "I got speared Clarke! Right here! Remember?" The guy didn't lower his gun. "I almost died! But thanks to you I'm not."

The blonde girl turned to look at her and said "I know but we can't just kill her. Maybe she isn't one of them." Lexa wasn't wearing her armour so she was easily mistaken as an innocent.

"Are you kidding me? She's got to be one of them. Who else could she be?" The brunette with long hair argued. "Look at her!" They were all looking at her undecided what to do.

Lexa was still standing but with her losing blood she knew she would lose consciousness pretty soon. Her hand was on her stomach trying to slow the bleeding. They were too close for her to make a run for her life. They would shoot again if she took another step.

"I'm with Jasper." The brunette said with a shrug. "They're trying to kill us Clarke. We're just protecting ourselves."

"We are not the grounders Octavia. Besides she's unarmed and she's got a bullet in her." The blonde tried to argue with her friends then turned around to face her. "You've been shot. I can help with the wound." Lexa watched as the blonde took a few steps forward with her arms held out in front of her.

"Clarke! What are you doing?!" Jasper hissed as he too with Octavia took a step forward following Clarke. His eyes were everywhere. "There could be others! Okay I won't shoot but just leave her there. We should go! Now!"

Lexa knew she was trapped but didn't show she was scared. She'd be damned if she scared of these intruders.

"It's okay. As long as you don't attack me I don't attack you." The blonde gave a little smile as to appear friendly but Lexa wasn't a fool. "Let me see your wound. Okay? Let me help."

Lexa licked her lip. She could feel she was starting to get a little dizzy. She took a step back but lost her footing. She fell down on the ground clutching her bloody stomach. She saw the blonde run towards her before she lost her consciousness.

"What do you think you're doing? You brought a grounder here!" Bellamy was hot on her heels. The others looked on but didn't interfere. Clarke and Bellamy were pretty much their leaders now so whatever decisions they made they followed. He grabbed Clarke by her arm to force Clarke to stop walking when the blonde ignored him. He looked back as if to make sure they weren't followed.

"She's alone." That was all Clarke said, a little annoyed at him.

"What makes you so sure that nobody's coming after her?" Bellamy let go of Clarke's arm. "We haven't finished setting up the walls yet. If they attack us now.." Bellamy stopped at that.

"They won't." Clarke didn't know that for sure but had to say it just to get Bellamy off her back for now. She knew it was a risk to take the girl but she couldn't just let her die and Clarke knew this was coming. "I know what you're getting at but she's hurt, Bellamy. Let me tend to her wound first and then we talk." She dismissed him and told Jasper to bring the grounder to the dropship.

"What was she thinking?" She caught Bellamy said to Octavia. She turned to look and took a breath before following Jasper to the dropship. Bellamy snorted and shook his head. "Miller! Murphy! Go outside and keep your eyes open! If you see the grounders, just shoot!" He shouted. They nodded and left.

"Don't look at me. I'm not the princess." Octavia held up her hand and walked away to find Atom. Bellamy wasn't happy and she didn't want to get caught between those two arguing. Jasper could help Clarke with whatever she needed.

As soon Bellamy was closer she said "Not now Bellamy." Clarke took a knife and cut off the cloth around the stomach. Monty and Jasper came in with the supplies she needed.

He shifted and let out a heavy sigh. "I want to talk to her when you're done. If we're risking our lives for this I want something in return. I want intel." Bellamy said as he walked out. Clarke shook her head and focused on the task at hand.

"I can do this. I've seen mom done this before." She said to herself as to give herself confidence. She looked at the young grounder face on the table.

"I'm sure you can. You got this." Monty said as he turned to Jasper who didn't offer any comfort but said "Yeah you can do this" when Monty shot him a look.

"What do you want us to do?" Monty asked and swallowed as he saw Clarke dugged in three fingers into the wound to find the bullet. Blood pouring out. "On a second thought I think I have something else to do. Jasper here can help." Monty tapped Jasper on the shoulder and quickly walked to the door without looking back.

"Yeah I'll just stand here. If you need me." Jasper gave a nervous laugh but squinted his eyes at the sight of the blood.

Clarke sighed. She had successfully getting the bullet out and sewed her up. She put her hand across her forehead to make sure she didn't catch a fever. She was lucky that the bullet didn't hit any of her major organs. Clarke washed her bloody hand with water Octavia just brought in.

"I hope you know what you're doing." Octavia said as she handing Clarke a clean cloth. Jasper told her he had something else to do. Maybe he just got sick of the blood. Who knew.

Clarke didn't look up instead using the cloth to wipe the grounder's face. "Nothing is going to happen. Nobody saw us." She carefully studied her face. So young.

She heard Octavia chuckled. "Hello? We just kidnapped a grounder Clarke. What do you think will happen if they knew we had one of their people?" Octavia was concern. She noticed the way Clarke was looking at the grounder. "Don't tell me you feel sorry for her." She crossed her arms.

Clarke raised her eyebrows but went back looking at the grounder.

Her brother was right. "We're not ready. If they attack we won't stand a chance." She looked down on the grounder. "She looks innocent enough but you never know."

Clarke stopped what she was doing and looked at the girl from head to toe. She looked harmless. Just like a normal girl in the woods. "I can't let her die Octavia." Clarke offered no reasons why she would risk bringing the girl to their camp which annoyed Octavia.

"That's not enough Clarke. You're putting us all in danger to save her life." After a pause she said "If you're done Bellamy wants to see you."

"I'll go find him when I'm done. Thanks. I can finish this by myself."

Octavia shook her head and walked out.

Clarke didn't know why she wanted to save the young grounder woman so bad. She knew Octavia was right that she was a grounder but looking at the young woman she wanted to believe that she wasn't as bad as the other grounders. She hoped she was right about that.

"Heda is not here." Gustus said as Indra was about to enter the Commander's tent. She stopped and turned to Gustus who didn't move an inch. Indra walked to stand in front of the bulky tall guy waiting for an explanation but received none.

"Then why are you here?" Indra asked short. Her hand was always on the tilt of her sword. "Your duty is to protect the Commander! To not leave her side!" Indra's voice raised out of concern of the safety of her Commander. Gustus shifted to look at the general.

"I know what my duty is Indra. You just worry about yours." Indra wasn't his superior. He only took orders from the Commander. "She is on her usual..run." He said and let out a small sigh but loud enough for Indra to hear. He couldn't stop her but he didn't want to admit that she slipped under his watch.

"The Commander outsmarted you." Indra smirked. "Again." She knew about the Commander usual run. Even though the Commander was quite young she had high praise for her. Lexa was ruthless and that made her a great Commander. She was also very smart and able to see a bigger picture in everyhing. That was why she accepted Lexa as the Commander. So were all the other grounders. "Maybe the Commander should get a better guard. I will come by later." She turned around and left.

Gustus was quiet. The Commander was capable to look after herself but it was his duty to be by her side, no matter what. He would stand here and be here when the Commander return.

Clarke couldn't help but to look at the young woman's scars on her skin. If she didn't know better she would say that they looked like battle scars. She looked too young to be like the savage grounders they encountered before. Her finger traced one particular scar on her abdomen and to other scars her eyes caught. "Who are you?" She began to clean the wounded area so it wouldn't get infected. She took her time doing that as she was wondering what she was doing alone in the woods.

Then she began to wipe her face but was surprised when the grounder caught her wrist. She frowned at the firm grip. She didn't think she would wake up this soon. "It's alright. You're safe." The grounder didn't say anything but Clarke could feel her grip was loosening and her hand fell to her side. she lost consciousness again.

Clarke sighed. she hoped she was right to save her life.

Lexa opened her eyes slowly and turned to look at her surrounding. She was confused to see all the things around her. She wasn't at her tent. The door opened and the blonde she saw at the wood came in.

"You're awake."

Lexa didn't react and the blonde put some distance between them. She could tell the blonde was scared of her. All she wanted to know was how long she was out.

"I'm here to check on the wound. The bandage needs to be changed every few hours or your wound could get infected. That's bad because I don't have the equipment or medicines for that." Clarke said as she took a step forward slowly. She couldn't tell what the grounder was thinking. Her face didn't give her a clue. "I need to change your bandage." Clarke said it again, pointed at it. When she saw the grounder stayed quiet she approached carefully. She could say that the grounder was looking at her by the corner of her eyes.

"What are doing alone in the wood?" Clarke started a conversation. She glanced over to see for her reaction but was disappointed. She had agreed with Bellamy to get some intel from her. She would rather do it than Bellamy. He was ready to torture her. She waited for an answer but the grounder wasn't talking. "Look. I don't want to hurt you but we need to know some things. I'm going to ask you some questions."

To her surprise the grounder spoke. Clarke frowned at the foreign words she heard. "What?" She asked knowing they wouldn't be able to get anything out of her. They didn't even speak the same language.

"I can't understand you and you can't understand me. Great." Clarke crossed her arms trying to find a way to communicate. After a while she said "I'm Clarke." She pointed to her chest and said her name again. "I'm Clarke. What's your name?" She pointed to the grounder but got a blank look from her instead. She had to figure out how to go about it.

"Lexa."

Clarke looked up. "Lexa. Is that your name? Can you understand me?" She was hopeful but closed her eyes after a while. "Of course she can't. Who am I kidding." Their eyes both fixed at the opening door. Bellamy and Octavia walked in.

"Why isn't she tied up?" Bellamy demanded as he came closer. His sister trailing behind him.

"She's not a threat." Clarked said. "At least for now. Her injury wasn't fatal but she's still too weak to run."

Lexa frowned a little when Clarke assumed she was too weak because of her being injured but this was nothing. Was she annoyed? Yes because she had worse in battles and she survived. She thought this was a good opportunity to learn something about the Sky People. She didn't dress like a warrior so they thought she wasn't one. Some of Indra's warrior were sent to kill them but were defeated. She never underestimated her enemies but she didn't think they were a match for her warriors. The fact that they didn't think she understand them made her job easier.

"If she escaped it's on you. So?" Bellamy asked not wanting to argue. "What do we know?"

Clarke shook her head. "I don't think she speaks English." She turned to look at Lexa but failed to mention that all she got was her name.

"So nothing." He crossed his arm. "You brought her here for nothing. That's great."

"If we can somehow let her know that we're not here to harm them then maybe we can do what Finn suggested." Clarke said. She wondered where the hell was Finn when she needed him.

"You mean peace talk?" Bellamy laughed sarcastically. "Come on Clarke. You've seen how they fight. They don't care about us. All they think is that we're intruders. That we don't belong here." He said. "But we do belong here."

"We can try." Clarke looked at Lexa. "We just have to find a way to talk to her. To make her understand."

"I don't agree with this but I'll do whatever it takes to protect our people." Bellamy said. His eyes fixed on Clarke. "Even if it means this one has to go."

"For a grounder, she's cute though." Octavia chipped in which got an angry look from his brother. "What. I'm just saying. She is cute. Right Clarke?" Octavia winked. She happened to walk in when Clarke said 'You kinda cute for a grounder though' while she was cleaning her up.

Clarke was embarrassed. She didn't think anybody heard her. She turned and her eyes and Lexa's met. "Yeah she is." Which drew a laugh from Octavia. "but that's not the point. Look we can use her to send a message or something."

"How can she send a message if she can't even understand us?" Octavia asked after her laugh died. She was still smiling though.

Clarke shrugged. "Maybe if we let her go then.."

"Whoa wait a second. I'm not letting her go." Bellamy cut her words. "I won't take that risk. Why are you hell bent on saving her anyway? She's no different than the other grounders."

"I'm with Bellamy. The point is we kidnapped her Clarke." Octavia backed his brother. "So what do we do with her now? We can't just keep her here."

That was the question Clarke was thinking about all day.

Lexa figured she was here for only a few days, maybe two. They didn't tell her how long but she felt better and she believed she could fight her way out. She wouldn't worry about her people looking for her because Gustus knew she was on her usual run and he usually gave her four days to return back to their camp before he was out looking for her. She looked up when she heard footsteps.

Clarke smiled and offered something to her but she didn't take it. "Some of my friends found them. They taste good. You must be hungry. Here have some." She shook her head when she saw what they were. She watched as Clarke put some into her mouth.

"I'm sorry about the rope. Bellamy wanted you tied up." Clarke said as she gestured with her head. "Lexa." Lexa's eyes fixed on the blonde. "I really wish you could understand me. If you do it will makes things a lot easier and people don't have to die. We can live together." Clarke said as she took some more and put them into her mouth. "We really mean you no harm."

Lexa spoke and Clarke wished she understood her. "We're still discussing what to do with you." Clarke mumbled. Lexa figured Clarke had been eating the nuts before she came in there because the effect had shown. She waited patiently. "There hasn't been any attack from the grounders. I guess they forgot about you huh." Lexa smiled a little. "I love your smile. You should smile more often Lexa. You look tense all the time."

Lexa nodded and spoke again.

"God I wish I know what you're saying." Clarke shook her head and sat next to Lexa. "You know what. I feel good." Clarke stopped chewing but stared blankly forward. "I haven't felt this good for a very long time." She started chewing again. "Do you know that I was a prisoner back on the Ark?" Clarke laughed. "I just did what I thought was right. I wanted to help my father. My people. But he died because of it."

Lexa was sure that from then on Clarke wouldn't remember a thing that happened. So she spoke "Untie me."

Clarke turned to look at her. "Hey you speak English! I didn't know that! Sure." She got up to take a knife on the table. Lexa stood up and put her hand in front of her. Clarke obediently cut the rope that was tied around her wrist. She walked to the door and looked outside. She smiled and turned back at Clarke who was talking to herself again.

"Lexa come here." Clarke called. "Sit." Clarke tapped on the floor next to her. Lexa stood there for a moment but decided to stay for a while. The effect of the nuts the Sky People were taking would last a few hours. She got time. Lexa went to sit next to her without saying a word.

"Living on the space suck. I'm glad I'm on the ground. Even if it means being killed by the grounders." Lexa watched Clarke as she was telling her stories like Lexa wasn't a grounder. She intrigued her. "I've never felt the sun on my face or float on waters until I got send down here." Lexa took some of the nuts and gave them to Clarke. The blonde grinned. "We're dying up there. It's not like we have a choice. Die up there or die trying to get to the ground. Where we belong." Clarke continued. "My mom is still up there and I miss my father so much." Clarke's face changed.

"Why do you want to kill us? We're not a threat. All you do is kill." Clarke complained.

"I have lost people I loved too." Lexa looked at Clarke. She understood her pain of losing her father and her people dying. She reminded her of Costia. She was the only one Lexa had ever opened up to but now it happened again. There was something about Clarke that made her felt something. "You may think that our way is harsh but that's how we survive. I have to do what it takes to protect my people." She didn't think Clarke knew their struggle.

"Well that sucks." Clarke chipped in. "Maybe life should be more than just surviving. Not killing each other you know? Don't you think we deserve better?" Clarke turned to look at Lexa in the eye. She thought Lexa was pretty.

"Maybe we do." Lexa's hand slowly reached Clarke's face. "Maybe we do Clarke." She tilted her head but hesitated a little. Their eyes locked and they both knew they wanted the same thing. At least for now. Lexa leaned in for the kiss when she was sure Clarke wanted her too.

Clarke opened her mouth a little bit and felt her heart raced, anticipating Lexa's soft lips on hers. She closed her eyes when Lexa's caught her lower lip. She return the kiss and they only pulled away to catch air before Clarke kissed her again. She knew there was something about the young grounder.

Clarke groaned when Lexa broke the kiss. "No. Why stop?" She almost sounded like she was begging.

Lexa cupped Clarke's face. "I have to leave now Clarke." She got up and took the knife on the floor. She was ready to leave. She couldn't leave her people too long.

"Promise you'd come see me again?" Clarke said looking up. She wanted Lexa to kiss her again. The sooner the better.

Lexa smiled and nodded. Clarke laughed. "Okay then. That's settled. You can go now." She gestured for Lexa to go and waved.

"I do not need your permission Clarke." Lexa said as she walked. She gave Clarke one last look before she left.

Clarke massaged her temple. She looked around and slowly remembered a little bit of what happened. "The nuts?" She saw some of the nuts scattered on the floor next to her. She remembered something else. Lexa. Clarke's finger touched her lips. She smiled. Was it real or it was just her head messing around? She didn't know how long she was out.

"Lexa!" She got up quickly. "Oh no." She frantically looked around eventhough she knew Lexa wasn't there anymore. "Damn it!" She run outside to see if everybody was okay. She was sure that Jasper was giving them to everyone when she last saw him.

"What in the world is going on here?" She saw Finn and Raven walked through the open gate, confused. "Clarke? Are you okay? Why does everybody look like they're drunk?" Raven asked.

Clarke was relief that everybody was okay. Just a little unorganized. "She's gone." She said scrubbing her forehead.

"Who?" Finn and Raven exchanged looks but Clarke just shook her head.

Gustus watched as Lexa walked to her tent where he was standing for the past few days. "Heda." He said as he followed Lexa inside. He stopped and waited for orders while Lexa took her place on her throne. "Indra came to see you." He examined the Commander in front of him as to find anything that was out of ordinary. She looked fine to him but maybe a little pale. "Are you feeling well, Heda?"

Lexa nodded. She would fully recover in a few days. "I heard and saw what I needed to know about them." She spoke after being quiet. Gustus stood still. He wondered where she had been. "Call Indra. There are things that need to be discussed." Gustus nodded and went out.

Lexa took that moment to inspect her wound. It was healing and she was impressed. She would probably be dead if not because of the blonde. A smile formed in the corner of her mouth when the image of her crossed her mind. "Love is weakness." She reminded herself.

"Clarke of the Sky People." Lexa said softly as her mind played everything that happened during her time at the dropship.
