Hello! I said I was going to write this a while ago, and I finally got around to it! Yay! This was fun to write :)

Enjoy!

"No."

He wasn't listening.

"Natsu, I said no," she growled. His eyes sparkled in excitement as he looked at her.

"Oh, come on Luce!" he cried. He leaned forward and pressed a small kiss onto her forward. "It's a perfect name!" Lucy rolled her eyes and sighed. She pushed a sweaty strand of blonde hair behind her ear and regarded Natsu with a mixture of disbelief and exasperation. Add a pinch of annoyance.

He started to make cooing sounds to the baby in his arms, his face bright and full of happiness. Lucy had to admit the picture made her heart sore, the man she loved holding her child. Her eyes softened at the pink curls that sprouted from the child's head, matching Natsu's hair.

Still, this did nothing to change her mind.

After the baby had been cleaned and checked to ensure he was healthy (he was, to both their relief) Natsu had held the baby to the ceiling like in the 'Lion King' and cried in a loud voice the baby's new name.

"We are not calling him Luigi."

Natsu looked up and pouted at the blonde. "It's perfect though, Lucy!"

Lucy scowled at him. The name was perfectly dreadful in her opinion. It was what Natsu had first called her when they meant, misunderstanding her first introduction. The name wasn't that pretty either (no offense to all Luigi's), or at least, it didn't fit her kid. She wanted to call him Haru or something like that.

"Natsu, his name isn't Luigi."

He ignored her and nuzzled the sleeping baby. "Don't worry about her, Luigi. She'll come to sense soon, she's just a little tired. Plus mommy's weird," he whispered to the baby.

Lucy was about to yell at Natsu, but stopped when she heard him use the word 'mommy'. She liked the sound of it.

Immediately she smiled softly at the baby and stretched her arms out. Reluctantly Natsu gently set the baby in her arms. They had been together for years now but it still surprised her how gentle he could be.

Lucy pulled the baby close to her chest and sighed in happiness as it cuddled closer to her warmth. He was still red from the delivery and her body was still exhausted from it but never had she felt more awake.

Natsu sat on the bed with her and leaned his forehead against her own. She closed her eyes and took a moment to enjoy the moment of peace.

"I'm not naming him Luigi," Lucy murmured, breaking the quiet. Natsu pulled away with a frown. Seeing Lucy's look of absolute determination he sighed in defeat. He would never win with that look.

His eyes roamed her as she gazed down at the baby, her entire body practically glowing with happiness. He decided he didn't care much what the baby was named.

"Fine, weirdo," he said. She looked up in surprise, not expecting him to give in so easily. He smirked at her shocked expression. "I'll just have to come up with something better."

She groaned and fell back against the pillow. Knowing him, none of the names he would come up with would be anywhere close to decent. She inwardly cringed at the thought of him trying to name their child Dragon or Fire or maybe even Scales.

The bundle in her arms shifted and she glanced down at him. Lucy cocked her head and thought about it for a moment, and then she smiled at Natsu, inspiration striking her.

"I have an idea." He cocked an eyebrow. He was pretty sure she wouldn't be able to come up with one better than his own. "How about," she said slowly, "Igneel."

He blinked in shock, not quite believing his ears. Without warning he leapt forward and pressed a kiss onto her lips. She gasped against him before quickly melting into it. Lucy wasn't sure how long the kiss lasted, so caught up in the kiss as she was. They only remembered where they were when they heard a noise behind them. They glanced up when someone cleared their throat.

A nurse shifted in the entryway, blushing slightly at the very public display of affection.

"What is it?" Natsu demanded, clearly annoyed that they were interrupted.

"S-sorry," she stuttered, "but have you decided on your child's name?"

Natsu and Lucy shared a look before nodding. The baby shifted in her arms again, snuggling closer to Lucy's chest, as if sensing that he was the topic of discussion.

The birth certificate read: Igneel Luigi Dragneel
