A/N: Hello fans of I Will Not Bow and Blazing Revolution. For any of you that are hardcore SAO fans, I'm sure you've heard of the game Sword Art Online: Hollow Fragment. For those of you that haven't heard about it, Hollow Fragment is basically a 'what if' scenario of Kirito and co going past Floor 75 in the original SAO and continuing onto Floor 100. This story will incorporate Ren and his friends into that scenario. One of the great features of this game is the hilarious side stories. A large majority of chapters will be based on those same side stories. Please enjoy.
Ren let out a yawn as the sun's morning light shined through the windows of his room. Looking at the time on the top right of his vision, it was 8 am. No point in going back to sleep when it would only be another thirty minutes till the meeting.
'We were supposed to be done with this' Ren thought to himself as he slowly dragged his body out of bed.
It had been almost a week since the floor boss battle on floor 75. Almost a week since the identity of Heathcliff had been revealed to be none other than Akihiko Kayaba, the man that had trapped them in Sword Art Online. After Kirito had beaten him in a fight to the death, they were supposed to be set free. However, that freedom never came. To make matters worse, the assault team, as well as any other player that came to floor 76, was unable to teleport to the lower floors. The sudden changes had created a temporary panic, but they had been able to adjust. Most of the new players from the lower floors however were at levels far lower than that of the assault team's members. Leveling in the fields was more dangerous than ever for those weaker players now.
Ren walked through the streets of floor 76's town, Arc Sophia. It had taken some time, but the panic had finally settled down a bit and life had gotten back to normal… well normal for SAO at least. The tactician arrived at the teleport gate where his guild and many other front line guild members had gathered.
"Hey Ren!" Mai waved to her guild leader. Ren dragged his feet to them with his drowsiness still plain to see.
"Geez man, what happened?" Helios asked. "You look like you haven't slept in forever."
"That's because he hasn't." Alice pointed out. "Ren's been busy with all these emergency meetings for the assault team."
It was true. Ever since the crisis on floor 76 started, it had been one meeting after another in order to try and calm things down. Last night was the first time Ren had gotten a decent night sleep. "You want to take today off?" Alice asked him. "We can manage."
"No, I'll be fine." Ren assured her.
The crowd of high level players settled down as Asuna stood in front of them, ready to address the crowd. "Everyone, I thank you for coming here today. As you know, ever since we came to this floor things have been… less than desirable. But thanks to your tireless efforts, we have restored order. The players down below us have been messaged and notified of the situation and the number of middle floor players coming here has ceased. But we still have the problem that we are trapped in this game. Our top priority must be to keep going and make our way to floor 100."
The players in the crowd all gave murmurs of agreement. Now that things had calmed down, it was time to continue their advance through the floors.
"Players I ask that we work together. For our day of liberation!" Asuna told the group. The murmurs had now turned into roaring cheers. The meeting ended and the crowd dispersed. Asuna sighed in relief as Ren and the others walked over to her. "Hey Ren" the chestnut haired girl greeted. "Thanks for all the help you've been giving. I really appreciate it."
"No problem, Asuna" the tactician replied. "That speech sure seemed to get everyone's spirits up."
"Thanks" Asuna smiled. "I was kind of nervous though. Speeches like this were usually given out by the Commander. Now that I'm in charge of the KoB, things have gotten a lot harder."
"I think you did great" a familiar voice said. The group turned to see Asuna's daughter Yui run up and jump into the teen's arms. Kirito soon came over as well.
"Thanks, Yui." Asuna smiled with delight at the sight of her beloved daughter. "Having you around has really helped."
Ever since Yui had miraculously revived, Asuna had been filled with cheer. The return of their daughter had made Kirito and Asuna overjoyed. Although the other two new arrivals had ended up being more of a shock.
"Hey Kazuto!" a blonde girl called out as she ran over. "I was hoping we could go hunting together."
"Leafa, how many times do I have to tell you? It's Kirito in here" the black haired swordsman reminded his sister.
"Oh whatever" Leafa said. "I've only been in this game for a couple of days. You can't expect me to just call you by a new name all of a sudden. Anyway, are we going hunting or not?"
"Sorry sis." Kirito apologized. "I promised to help Sinon raise her level a bit. You're welcome to join us."
"Fine, I guess." Leafa decided. "But afterwards, I want some brother-sister time with you."
It was a few days ago that two people mysteriously showed up from the real world in Aincrad. The first was a blonde haired girl in a green dress named Leafa. As it turned out, she also happened to be Kirito's little sister. The second was a short haired brunette named Shinon, who had no memory of how she had gotten there.
"Hold it." Yui protested. "Daddy promised to spend time with me later today."
"Daddy?" Leafa asked in a confused look.
"That's right." Asuna explained. "Yui is our daughter. It was not long after the two of us got married. Didn't Kirito tell you?"
"WHAT?!" the blonde girl exclaimed. "Kirito is married?!"
"And has a child." Helios pointed out.
"Wh-What happened these past two years?!" Leafa cried out. "When did I become an aunt? Now I feel like an old woman."
Ren looked over towards the black swordsman. "You didn't tell her?" the tactician questioned.
"You try telling someone you haven't seen in two years that you're suddenly married and have a daughter." Kirito countered.
"Fair point." Ren admitted. "Well anyway, we'll see you guys later." With that said, Ren and his guild parted ways with their friends and headed for the fields.
A/N: Ok, I know this chapter was short, but the first couple of chapters will be used to set up the story for everyone who hasn't played Hollow Fragment. I will try to make the next chapter longer if I can. I hope you all enjoy the exciting and hilarious adventures in store.
