Kari's POV-Japan

It has been two years since the other Digidestine and I defeated the Dark Masters. Tai's still obsessed with Soccer, he's team captain. Matt learned how to play guitar, he's even starting his own band. Sora's gotten really good at tennis, though she still prefers being on the soccer team with Tai; and Mimi's recently become a model. Joe's still trying to be a doctor, and Izzy's still obsessed with his computers, and he managed to decipher Digicode. T.K. moved to America, and although I didn't know it yet, I was going to see him soon.

Yuuko Kamiya's POV

As a mother, I have always cared about my children more than anything else in my life, there is no doubting this fact. However, Kari has always been a bit, off.

She's always been, concerningly kind. She would often go out of her way to help someone, even at her own expense. If left to her own devices she would no doubt help others to the point of her own harm. She has run into traffic to save a cat, has stayed up well into the night to console a classmate, and would not once complain when her brother wanted to go out to play soccer while she was sick, to the point where she collapsed and had to go to the hospital.

I am honestly too afraid to ask of what happened when they went to the digital world, not only because the thought of my children being in danger terrifies me, but because while I was confident Tai would be fine, Kari worried me; what if she was hurt? What if she got sick? Would she say something? Or would she stay silent, not wanting to be a bother? I was relieved when she got home safe, but these questions remained.

Along with being too nice for comfort, she was always distant, and quiet. I could have brushed it off as shyness, and for the most part I did, though she always seemed to be observing everything, which sure, she's a child, a curiosity about the world is natural, but it just seemed off. She always seemed to wait a second too long to respond. Always spoke with hesitation and caution.

When Tai came back from summer camp, she seemed to become more confident with her actions, she seemed like whatever questions she had been answered. But after returning from the digital world, her confidence remained, but she seemed to become more distant than before.

A year after the only other her age in their group had to move away because of his mom's job, not only making him move away from his friends, but also from his dad and brother. But my main concern was the fact that Kari became even more distant and quiet.

So I might have called my sister, who lives in the same city as TK and his mom now live and might have arranged it so she could stay and his family's house for a while.

Danny's POV-Amity Park

"Hey dude isn't your cousin gonna stay at your place for a while?" my tecno-geek, and meat fanatic, and my best guy friend Tucker Foley said, he refuses to eat vegetables and is obsessed with technology to the point that he names his PDA's

"Yeah, I haven't seen her in over four years, Kari's her name, she was way too nice and kinda shy, but her older brother, Tai was a real hot-head." Not that I was complaining, seeing Dash on the opposite side of his ten year old temper was really entertaining.

"A lot can happen over four years, maybe she's changed," my other friend Samantha Manson, but don't call he that or your next week's meatloaf, it's just Sam. She's a Goth as well as an ultra-recycle vegetarian, or she doesn't eat anything with a face, and is my best girl friend.

"Hey, she's from japan right?" Tucker asked me, I nodded, "do you think she might know something about the monster sightings in Heighten View Terrace two years ago?" at that Sam sighed, should have know that was coming, "Tucker, we've been over this, monsters are about as real as ghosts," I responded. "you never know, they could be real!" he exclaimed, yeah right.

Kari's POV-Japan

"Now you're sure you can take the flight on your own?" my mom asked me for the billionth time today, "mhhmm, I'll be fine, I promise."

'Last call for the plane to Amity Park.'

And that was my cue to leave, "bye mom, Bye Tai," I waved as I ran to the plane, "be careful Kari," "bye Kari," the two yelled back.

As for my out fit I was wearing a pink T-shirt with the crest of light on it, courtesy of Mimi, white shorts, and pink sneakers.

Amity Park

I was in the airport looking for my aunt and uncle when I saw a big man, with black hair, in an orange jumpsuit holding a large sign that said 'Kamiya' on it, that could only be my Uncle Jack.

I walked over and saw that my aunt Maddie, a woman with red hair, and was in a teal jumpsuit, was there too, as well as my cousin, Danny, a strangely normal, considering his family, fourteen year old boy with black hair and blue eyes. I noticed that my other cousin, Jazz, a sixteen year old girl with red hair, who considers her self an adult and will probably major in phycology someday, wasn't there, of course she was probably at her house studying.

"Kari is that you?" aunt Maddie asked "you've grown so much!" she gudhrd over me, which was basically an Aunt requirment, "hi aunt Maddie, hi uncle Jack, hi Danny," I greeted each of them.

After a slightly terrifying trip to the Fenton's house, terrifying because uncle Jack was driving, they showed me the room I would be staying in. It was a pretty big room on the second floor and the walls were light pink, about the same shade as my crest before it was destroyed, had a white dresser for my cloths close to a window and a smaller one in front of my bed with a TV on it, the bed itself had light pink sheets, a little lighter than the walls, and hot pink covers and pillows.

"I hope you like pink," Danny muttered, handing me one of my suit cases "I do, thanks you guys," I said as I hug uncle Jack and aunt Maddie.

Before leaving the room Danny took a closer look at me, "hey Kari where's you old whistle, I remember you would never take it off since you were like three," "oh that, I gave it to my best friend so she would never forget me," technically not a lie, I just didn't tell him my best friend was a digital cat. Accepting my answer Danny left the room.

After that I went to put my stuff in my drawers.

Time skip to Monday morning

"It's a new school year so you'll be starting at Casper Middle school." Aunt Maddie said as she started to prepare breakfast

"OK," I responded, maybe I'll see T.K. there, I thought as aunt Maddie poured me some cereal.

I was heading to the attendance office when I heard a familiar voice and froze.

"Kari?"
