The Timelord was jerked awake from the dream. The scent of burning still seemed to linger in the room and screams still echoed in his head. It took the the man a minute to realize that he was sobbing and trembling violently, something quit unlike him. He wiped his eyes and looked around the room to get his bearings on where he was and if it really was just a dream. The inky blackness was pierced through and cleared when a blonde, flustered girl barged in the room, swinging a bat and looking around the room.

"D-Doctor are you-" Rose stopped abruptly when she noticed his reddened and tear stained cheeks. She felt slightly relieved by the lifted threat of an attack, but the relief dissipated when she saw him trying to stop sniffling as he wiped his eyes. She put down the weapon and walked over to the man who sat only a few feet away from her.

"Doctor...?" She sat next to the alien and double checked to make sure she wasn't jut imagining these things. "Hey, hey, it's alright, your okay." She took to wiping the tears on his highlighted cheeks before taking his hand underneath the covers. The Timelord was beyond embarrassed at his companion have to see him in such a sorry state and that didn't much help his flush. "Y-yeah...ah, sorry."

Rose shook her head, getting just a little closer to the man. She looked into his eyes almost pleading for answers within their watery depths. That was one thing, him sobbing. This was something she'd grown accustomed to seeing and really didn't want to see. "Nothing to be sorry for, just tell me what's wrong." The man felt a lump in his throat as he merely thought about the horrible nightmare. "Just a nightmare, I suppose." She squeezed his hand and tried to look for any signs of what it was about, but truly, she already knew. "Wanna talk about it?" He shook his head, not thinking he could stand explaining to her what happened.

Rose gave a small nod and kissed his wettened cheek, feeling it warm at her touch. Rose went to turn off the light but evidently came back to the other who was still letting out small sniffles as he tried to calm himself in a futile effort. He hadn't had a nightmare like this in a long time and was surprisingly not use to it.

She pulled the covers over the other and persuaded him to lay down and she then did the same. Due to her height, she had to shift her way up so she was level with him. The Timelord wrapped his arm around her before pulling her in. Rose gently put one hand on his chest, feeling the rhythmic beats that resonated from it Rose could almost sense the worry that practically radiated off of the man and kissed his forehead. "Don't worry, i'm here."

The girl simply wrapped both of her arms around him and snuggled into his chest, the small beats beginning to lull her to sleep. "Rose...?" She looked up at him, barely seeing the eyes that blended so well into darkness. "How long are you going to stay with me?" His question was filled with worry but that dissipated when she smiled and got back into her former position. "Forever."
