Yellow or Gold?

"Gold."

"It's yellow."

"Gold."

"Yellow."

"It's gold, trust me."

"It's yellow, idiot."

They've been having the same argument over and over again for days now. Lucy let out an exasperated sigh as she continued to carefully inspect Laxus's hair. Natsu continued to argue that the dragon slayer's hair was actually gold.

"It's gold, Lucy. It's gold!"

"What are you two doing?" Laxus asked through gritted teeth. He sat with the Raijinshu - Freed, Evergreen and Bickslow sitting across from him, all but helping him get out of the crisis he was in. Natsu and Lucy sat on top of the table staring at Laxus's spiky hair. The hot-headed flame thrower squinted his eyes as if that would help prove that Laxus's hair was gold.

"It's yellow," said Lucy. She was certain it was yellow. There's just no way it could be gold!

"Hey," Laxus waved his hand in front of the two. "I asked you a question."

"No, his hair is totally gold." Natsu argued, ignoring Laxus.

"Yo, you two...," Laxus was interrupted before he could finish his sentence.

"It's yellow!" Lucy said, an annoyed look on her face. Natsu rolled his eyes.

"You must be colorblind, because that's gold."

"Hey...," They continued to ignore Laxus.

"Yellow."

"Gold."

"Yellow."

"Gold."

"Yellow!"

"Gol-"

"Shut up." The two immediately obeyed. They both looked at Laxus with a blank expression as if to say, "This is none of your business, old man."

"What are you two arguing about?"

"Laxus, tell me," Lucy said, suddenly leaning closer, "is your hair yellow or gold?"

"I don't care!" Laxus snapped.

"It's yellow, guys." This came from Freed, who was now leaning over the table to look at Laxus's hair closely.

"Nah," Bickslow said, "I'm with the talking flame thrower. It's definitely gold."

"Gold! Gold!" Bickslow's dolls repeated.

"That's ridiculous. Yellow all the way!" Evergreen argued.

Before Laxus could comprehend what was happening, an argument started within the guild. All because of his damn hair color. Even Makarov was arguing with Mira.

"He's my grandson," The old midget said, "I know what his hair color is and it's gold."

"But master...," They were cut off when the door burst open, revealing Erza, hands on her hips.

"What are you all talking about?" She asked, slowly walking forward.

"L-laxus's hair color," Someone answered. Erza frowned.

"This is all very childish, then. Why are you fighting over whether his hair color is orange or gold...,"

"It's yellow or gold," Happy, appearing out of nowhere while eating a fish, said. Erza glared at him, making him shut up and fly to a dark corner, crying animatedly.

"As I was saying," Erza continued, "This is all completely ridiculous. You're embarassing Laxus. Look at him. He's like a lost puppy." Erza pointed at Laxus. Laxus was about to protest, but was cut off when Erza spoke again.

"We should all just be calm and think of a solution that will make everyone happy, yes?"

Too scared of Erza to disagree, everyone nodded their heads and let out a small, "Yes."

"Fine, how about this," Natsu turned to Lucy. "His hair is a... yellowish-gold?"

Lucy pondered for a minute. "Hmm... I guess I can work with that."

Laxus was still ignored.

"Great," Natsu turned to Laxus, "You're welcome."

"For what?!" Laxus was finally able to speak up.

"For figuring out your hair color." Lucy answered. Natsu and Lucy high-fived, proud to have figured out the ever-so-complicated mystery of Laxus's hair.

"I already knew my hair colo-" Again, Laxus couldn't finish his sentence. Gray popped ot of nowhere, in his boxers, looking intently at Laxus's head.

"I say it's yellow."

And with that, the guild began with the argument once again.

And through all of this, Laxus was still ignored.
